Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of CPNS (Crossword Puzzle Natural Science) as an interactive learning medium to enhance science literacy among elementary school students. The urgency of this research is based on the 2022 PISA report, which shows that Indonesian students achieved a science literacy score of 383, far below the OECD average of 476. CPNS is a crossword-based learning tool designed to help students understand the concept of states of matter in a fun, engaging, and meaningful way. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The participants were fourth-grade students at SDN Yosorejo 02, and data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that CPNS increases student engagement, improves conceptual understanding, and fosters critical and communicative thinking. Students also demonstrated strong enthusiasm during the learning process, contributing positively to their science literacy.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the personality competencies required of teachers in the digital era, analyze the various challenges that arise, and examine the relevant forms of competence in the digital transformation process. Through the literature study method, the results of the study indicate that the digital space is characterized by a rapid flow of information, unlimited connectivity, and a visual-interactive culture that influences the way students think and behave. The digital generation tends to multitask and be adaptive, but is prone to fading social ethics, exposure to negative content, cyberbullying, and false information. Teachers are not only required to understand the material, but also to have digital literacy, pedagogical creativity, technological adaptability, and instilling digital ethics. It requires a stable personality, integrity, empathy, reflectiveness, and inspirational digital communication. Research confirms that digital teachers must be adaptive, ethical, and authoritative to guide the critical and responsible use of technology.

Abstract

This article was made with the aim of describing the implementation of the school literacy movement (GLS) program at MIN 1 Semarang. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instrument uses observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation sheets. The results of the study show that MIN 1 Semarang has started to implement literacy habituation since 2015, then it is aligned with the framework policy of the School Literacy Movement Program (GLS). The implementation of this literacy program is supported by the readiness of madrasas in planning the implementation of GLS. The literacy program is also supported by the teacher committee, all madrasah residents, and the provision of literacy support facilities. The implementation of literacy program activities is carried out through three stages starting from the habituation stage, development, to the learning stage.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers' efforts in instilling character values in students at SD Paya Pelekung, Nagan Raya Regency. The approach used is qualitative with the type of field study through observational data collection techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, and tested for validity through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study showed that teachers applied four main strategies, namely story-based learning and moral reflection, role models and habituation, social practice activities such as visits to orphanages and gardening activities, and strengthening through parental appreciation and involvement in child character development. These findings indicate that instilling character values will be more effective if it is carried out in an integrated, sustainable manner, and involves collaboration between schools, families, and the social environment.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of learning media in the subject of Moral Faith in MIN 3 Hulu Sungai Selatan and its impact on the student learning process. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects include teachers of Moral Faith and students of MIN 3 Hulu Sungai Selatan. The results of the study show that the learning media used varies, including visual media, digital media, and traditional media. The use of these media is able to help students understand abstract concepts more concretely, increase learning motivation, instill moral values, and encourage students' activeness and critical thinking skills. Some of the obstacles in the use of media include limited facilities, lack of technology training for teachers, limited preparation time, and unstable internet networks.
