Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of guided inquiry methods in accounting education and their impact on students' analytical abilities through library research. A qualitative research was conducted by examining relevant literature, including books, articles, and journals. The analysis technique employed literature study by identifying, collecting, and analyzing library sources related to guided inquiry methods. Research findings indicate that guided inquiry methods provide significant contributions in improving learning outcomes, student interest, and analytical thinking skills in accounting subjects. This method encourages active student participation in the learning process with teacher guidance, developing positive character traits including fairness, honesty, discipline, creativity, independence, responsibility, and tolerance. The research concludes that the guided inquiry approach is effective in enhancing the quality of accounting education and comprehensive student potential development.

Abstract

Democracy is applied not only at the national level but also in schools as a foundation for character building among students. The OSIS election at SMA Negeri 5 Halmahera Timur serves as a tangible implementation of democratic principles, with the aim of analyzing the role of Pancasila education in shaping students' democratic character through participation in the OSIS election. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that the student council elections were conducted transparently and systematically, involving students in the processes of debate, campaigning, and voting. This activity helps students apply the values of Pancasila democracy, especially the fourth principle regarding wisdom in deliberation. In addition, the student council elections enhance students' leadership, participation, and critical thinking skills. Overall, this activity proves that Pancasila education through OSIS elections can shape students' democratic character, preparing them to become future leaders, despite the presence of several supporting factors and challenges in integrating Pancasila values.

Abstract

Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a learning model that takes and uses examples from real life. With this method, learners are trained to solve a problem through discussions, problem exercises, or scientific activities. This research was conducted to see the role of Problem Based Learning in developing students' critical thinking skills. In this research, a literature study was conducted by collecting explanations from various sources such as books and articles that discuss PBL. The researcher's findings revealed the success of the Problem Based Learning model in improving students' critical thinking skills. Problem Based Learning trains learners to think in real terms, and consider various views in the decision-making process. This problem-solving-oriented approach not only deepens the learning experience, but also makes it more relevant to everyday life.

Abstract

This study discusses the social construction of the drama Layangan Putus as social learning for housewives in Bara District, Palopo City. The purpose of this study is to understand how the Layangan Putus drama constructs the reality of housewives in Bara District, Palopo City. To understand the social learning from the Layangan Putus drama for housewives in Bara District, Palopo City. This study is a descriptive qualitative research using a communication approach with social construction theory and social learning theory. The informants used were eight housewives. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the drama Layangan Putus generates discourse about spousal relationships and domestic conflicts. The drama Layangan Putus has constructed housewives up to the stage of internalization dialectics, Society has now developed a broader understanding of how to address external realities and does not immediately create new realities. By observing the scenes in the Layangan Putus drama and evaluating each event and the course of Aris's affair, culminating in Kinan's proof of her husband's infidelity, and ultimately ending in the divorce between Aris and Kinan. The social lesson learned by housewives after watching the drama Layangan Putus is that romantic gestures, previously considered a sign of a partner's loyalty, are in fact the opposite. The drama shows that a husband's romantic gestures are actually a factor that triggers him to cheat on his wife, covering up his infidelity with romantic gestures towards his wife

Abstract

The transformation of education in the era of modernization requires teachers not only to master the subject matter but also to adapt to technological advancements and curriculum changes. Teacher professionalism is a key factor in creating an effective learning process that meets contemporary demands. This study aims to analyze the level of ideal teacher professionalism in facing educational transformation challenges at SMAN 12 Luwu, located on Jl. Trans Sulawesi, Bunga Eja Village, Kamanre Subdistrict, Luwu Regency. The research used a mixed-method approach, combining data from student questionnaires (36 respondents), teacher observations, and in-depth interviews with five subject teachers and the school principal. The results indicate that teachers demonstrate high professionalism in social and professional aspects, while pedagogical and technological adaptation still require improvement. Teachers showed discipline and the ability to build positive relationships with students, but the integration of digital media in teaching was not yet optimal across all teachers. In conclusion, the teachers at SMAN 12 Luwu have met most of the indicators of ideal professional educators. It is recommended that the school enhance digital teaching training and foster collaboration among teachers to improve adaptive teaching quality in the modern educational landscape.

Abstract

School culture is a system of values, beliefs, and habits that exist within the educational environment and function as a guideline for the behavior of all school members. A good school culture can create a conducive learning atmosphere, motivate students, and foster positive personalities that support educational success. This study aims to analyze the influence of school culture on the personality development of students at SMAN 3 Bantaeng. The approach used is qualitative with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies involving teachers and students. The results of the study show that the school culture at SMAN 3 Bantaeng such as the culture of discipline, religiosity, cooperation, and responsibility contributes significantly to shaping students’ personalities. These values are internalized through regular school activities, habitual practices, and teachers’ role modeling. Such positive culture helps improve students’ sense of responsibility, respectfulness, and learning motivation. Thus, it can be concluded that school culture has a real and meaningful influence on students’ personality development, both in moral, social, and spiritual aspects

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the role of emotional intelligence in leadership development among students. Emotional intelligence is understood as the ability to recognize, understand and regulate the emotions of both oneself and others. In this study, analysis was carried out on the relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness through data collection carried out in several organizational environments at Makassar State University. This research reveals that students who have high emotional intelligence tend to be better at motivating themselves and others, as well as at establishing positive relationships within teams. Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions of new students in the Accounting Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Makassar State University, regarding the role of Pancasila Education in countering radicalism in higher education. This research stems from the understanding that radicalism is not only manifested in the form of violence, but also through intolerance, exclusivism, and ideological narratives that develop in the digital space. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and semi-structured interview method, this study analyzes students' understanding, attitudes, and expectations of Pancasila values. The results show that the majority of students have a good understanding of the basic values of Pancasila and recognize its relevance as an ideological foundation in maintaining national unity amid the challenges of globalization and the flow of digital information. Pancasila education is perceived as playing an important role in shaping students' characters to be tolerant, critical, and inclusive. However, the effectiveness of learning still faces obstacles, mainly due to teaching methods that tend to be theoretical and lack contextual relevance to students' social realities. This study emphasizes the importance of pedagogical innovation in Pancasila Education through the strengthening of dialogue-based learning, contextual case studies, and the use of digital media. This approach is expected to enhance the internalization of Pancasila values in a more reflective and applicable manner, so that Pancasila Education can function optimally as an ideological bulwark against radicalism among the younger generation.

Abstract

Jigsaw cooperative learning is an effective method to improve students’ conceptual understanding, motivation to learn, and active participation. Through small group learning, students learn a specific section of the material and then teach the material to their classmates. This process strengthens students’ understanding, social skills, and critical thinking skills. Research shows that the Jigsaw model can improve academic learning outcomes, especially in complex subjects such as mathematics and science, and develop students’ metacognitive abilities. In addition, this model encourages inclusive collaboration and improves social-emotional skills, creating an interactive and enjoyable learning environment. Although effective, the implementation of this model in Indonesia faces challenges, such as difficulties in time management and the need for intensive teacher guidance to ensure that each student understands their role in the group. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study, which aims to analyze the advantages and obstacles to implementing the Jigsaw model in the context of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

21st century education demands the development of students' critical thinking skills to face the challenges of the digital era. This article examines the role of technology in supporting inquiry learning as an innovative method that encourages active exploration and critical analysis. With a descriptive approach based on literature study, this research shows that technology integration can increase students' digital literacy, facilitate collaboration, and expand access to learning resources. However, the implementation of technology-based inquiry learning faces challenges, such as gaps in digital access and limited teacher skills. This article also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of inquiry learning strategies, as well as providing recommendations for optimizing their application in modern education. These findings are expected to provide practical insights for educators in maximizing learning in the digital era.
