Abstract

Information technology (IT) has experienced rapid development over the past few decades, significantly impacting various aspects of society, including social, economic, cultural, and educational spheres. This article aims to examine the effects of IT on society, using a multidisciplinary approach to provide a comprehensive understanding of the positive and negative consequences of this technological advancement. Through in-depth analysis, the study reveals that IT enhances efficiency, broadens access to information, and opens new economic opportunities, but it also presents challenges such as the digital divide, changes in social interaction patterns, and negative impacts on local culture. The article suggests the need for public policies that can effectively manage the impacts of IT to ensure the well-being of society as a whole.

Abstract

Fake news has increasingly spread across digital platforms along with the rapid advancement of information and communication technologies. Fake news has a significant impact on public opinion, social stability, and decision-making processes. In this study, a deep learning approach using the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model is employed to develop a web-based fake news classification system. The dataset consists of thousands of news articles collected from various sources, including TurnBackHoax, Kompas, Detik, and Antaranews. The research process involves data collection, text preprocessing, tokenization, LSTM model construction, training, and performance evaluation using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The proposed model achieves an accuracy of 94.2% on the test dataset, and the classification report and confusion matrix indicate a balanced performance between the fake and legitimate news classes. The developed system is implemented as a web-based application using PHP version 8.2.12, Laravel 9, and PostgreSQL version 10.23, enabling users to perform real-time news classification. The results demonstrate that the LSTM model is effective for analyzing news text and can be utilized to reduce the dissemination of misinformation. This research is expected to provide both academic and practical contributions to the development of technologies for fake news detection.AbstrakBerita hoaks semakin menyebar di platform digital seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Berita hoaks memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap opini publik, stabilitas sosial, dan pengambilan keputusan. Metode pembelajaran mendalam (deep learning) model Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk membangun sistem klasifikasi berita hoaks berbasis web. Data yang digunakan terdiri dari ribuan artikel berita dari berbagai sumber, seperti TurnBackHoax, Kompas, Detik, dan Antaranews. Pengumpulan data, preprocessing teks, tokenisasi, pembentukan model LSTM, pelatihan, dan evaluasi performa menggunakan metrik akurasi, presisi, recall, dan skor F1 adalah semua bagian dari proses penelitian. Model yang dibuat berhasil mencapai akurasi 94,2% pada data uji, dan laporan klasifikasi dan confusion matrix menunjukkan bahwa kelas berita valid dan hoaks seimbang. Sistem ini berfungsi sebagai aplikasi berbasis web dengan PHP 8.2.12, Laravel 9 dan PostgreSQL 10.23. Ini memungkinkan pengguna melakukan klasifikasi berita secara real-time. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LSTM adalah alat yang baik untuk menganalisis teks berita dan dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi penyebaran informasi yang tidak benar. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi akademik dan praktis dalam proses pengembangan teknologi yang mendeteksi hoaks.

Abstract

The utilization of management information systems (MIS) in hospital patient data management has become an essential need in the digital era. Effective and efficient data management can improve healthcare service quality and support faster and more accurate decision-making. This study aims to understand how the implementation of hospital management information systems (HMIS) can assist in managing patient data systematically and integratively. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method based on literature reviews and limited interviews with healthcare workers and administrative staff. The findings indicate that the implementation of HMIS positively impacts work efficiency, reduces administrative errors, and enhances patient satisfaction. However, challenges remain in training human resources and improving technological infrastructure. Keywords: Management Information System, Hospital, Patient Data, Efficiency, Digitalization Abstrak Pemanfaatan sistem informasi manajemen (SIM) dalam pengelolaan data pasien di rumah sakit telah menjadi kebutuhan mendesak di era digital. Pengelolaan data yang efektif dan efisien dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan serta mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang cepat dan akurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana penerapan sistem informasi manajemen rumah sakit (SIMRS) dapat membantu pengelolaan data pasien secara lebih sistematis dan terintegrasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi literatur serta wawancara terbatas pada tenaga kesehatan dan petugas administrasi rumah sakit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan SIMRS memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan efisiensi kerja, pengurangan kesalahan administrasi, serta peningkatan kepuasan pasien. Namun demikian, tantangan masih ditemukan dalam hal pelatihan sumber daya manusia dan keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi. Abstract

This study aims to design and analyze sociology learning based on Jean Piaget’s cognitive development stages. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative design. The research subjects consisted of a sociology teacher and students from one class at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The results indicate that sociology learning designed according to students’ cognitive development stages enhances student engagement, facilitates understanding of abstract sociological concepts, and promotes the development of critical and analytical thinking skills. Learning activities such as group discussions, case studies, and social simulations were found to effectively support students’ processes of assimilation and accommodation. Therefore, the implementation of Piaget’s cognitive development theory in sociology learning is relevant and effective in improving the quality of classroom learning. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menganalisis pembelajaran sosiologi yang berbasis pada tahap perkembangan kognitif Jean Piaget. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas seorang guru sosiologi dan siswa satu kelas pada jenjang Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, angket, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran sosiologi yang disesuaikan dengan tahap perkembangan kognitif siswa mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa, mempermudah pemahaman konsep-konsep abstrak, serta mendorong berkembangnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dan analitis. Pembelajaran berbasis diskusi, studi kasus, dan simulasi sosial terbukti efektif dalam mendukung proses asimilasi dan akomodasi siswa. Dengan demikian, penerapan teori perkembangan kognitif Piaget dalam pembelajaran sosiologi relevan dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to examine the transformation of informal education as a strategy for strengthening community skills through a community-based approach. The research employed a qualitative descriptive design. The findings reveal that informal education has transformed from incidental activities into more structured, participatory, and community-oriented programs. The integration of digital technology and collaboration between educational institutions and local communities emerged as key supporting factors. Informal education contributes significantly to improving social skills, digital literacy, entrepreneurial abilities, and the reinforcement of social and cultural values. However, challenges such as limited human resources, funding constraints, and diverse educational backgrounds of participants remain. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji transformasi pendidikan informal sebagai strategi penguatan keterampilan masyarakat berbasis komunitas. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan informal mengalami transformasi dari kegiatan yang bersifat insidental menjadi program yang lebih terencana, partisipatif, dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan masyarakat. Pemanfaatan teknologi digital dan kolaborasi antara lembaga pendidikan dan komunitas menjadi faktor pendukung utama dalam transformasi tersebut. Pendidikan informal berkontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosial, literasi digital, keterampilan kewirausahaan, serta penguatan nilai sosial dan budaya masyarakat. Namun, pelaksanaan pendidikan informal masih menghadapi hambatan berupa keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, pendanaan, dan variasi latar belakang pendidikan peserta.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the role of education as an agent of social integrity and a builder of students’ solidarity at SMA Negeri 1 Takalar. This research employed a descriptive qualitative. The findings indicate that education plays a significant role in fostering students’ social integrity and solidarity through classroom learning, school culture, and extracurricular activities. Teachers serve as key role models in instilling values such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, and social awareness. A supportive school culture, along with routine and social activities, strengthens students’ sense of togetherness and cooperation. However, several inhibiting factors were identified, including the influence of social media, external peer environments, and limited family involvement. This study concludes that the effectiveness of education as an agent of social integrity and solidarity requires strong collaboration among schools, teachers, and families. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pendidikan sebagai agen integritas sosial dan pembentuk solidaritas peserta didik di SMA Negeri 1 Takalar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan berperan signifikan dalam membentuk integritas sosial dan solidaritas peserta didik melalui pembelajaran di kelas, budaya sekolah, dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Guru berperan sebagai teladan utama dalam menanamkan nilai kejujuran, disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan kepedulian sosial. Budaya sekolah yang kondusif serta kegiatan pembiasaan dan sosial mampu memperkuat rasa kebersamaan dan kerja sama antarsiswa. Adapun faktor penghambat dalam pembentukan integritas sosial dan solidaritas meliputi pengaruh media sosial, lingkungan pergaulan di luar sekolah, serta kurangnya keterlibatan keluarga. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan pendidikan sebagai agen integritas sosial dan pembentuk solidaritas memerlukan sinergi antara sekolah, guru, dan keluarga.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPerkembangan pesat e-commerce menyebabkan meningkatnya jumlah ulasan produk yang dihasilkan oleh konsumen. Ulasan tersebut mengandung opini dan pengalaman pengguna yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengetahui sentimen pelanggan terhadap suatu produk. Namun, besarnya volume data teks membuat proses analisis secara manual menjadi tidak efisien. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan otomatis berbasis machine learning untuk melakukan analisis sentimen secara cepat dan akurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sentimen ulasan produk e-commerce menggunakan algoritma Naive Bayes dengan metode pembobotan Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF). Dataset yang digunakan berupa kumpulan ulasan produk berbahasa Indonesia yang telah melalui tahapan praproses teks, seperti case folding, tokenisasi, stopword removal, dan stemming. Selanjutnya, data direpresentasikan menggunakan TF-IDF dan diklasifikasikan ke dalam kelas sentimen positif, negatif, dan netral menggunakan algoritma Naive Bayes. Kinerja model dievaluasi menggunakan metrik evaluasi seperti akurasi, presisi, recall, dan F1-score. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi metode TF-IDF dan Naive Bayes mampu memberikan performa yang baik dalam mengklasifikasikan sentimen ulasan produk e-commerce. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran sentimen konsumen secara otomatis serta menjadi referensi dalam penerapan teknik text mining pada data teks berbahasa Indonesia.Kata kunci: analisis sentimen, e-commerce, Naive Bayes, TF-IDF, text mining. ABSTRACTThe rapid growth of e-commerce has led to an increase in the number of product reviews generated by consumers. These reviews contain users’ opinions and experiences that can be utilized to identify customer sentiment toward a product. However, the large volume of textual data makes manual analysis inefficient. Therefore, an automated approach based on machine learning is required to perform sentiment analysis accurately and efficiently. This study aims to analyze the sentiment of e-commerce product reviews using the Naive Bayes algorithm with the Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) weighting method. The dataset used consists of Indonesian-language product reviews that have undergone text preprocessing stages, including case folding, tokenization, stopword removal, and stemming. Furthermore, the data are represented using TF-IDF and classified into positive, negative, and neutral sentiment classes using the Naive Bayes algorithm. Model performance is evaluated using evaluation metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results show that the combination of TF-IDF and Naive Bayes provides good performance in classifying the sentiment of e-commerce product reviews. This study is expected to provide an automatic overview of consumer sentiment and serve as a reference for the application of text mining techniques on Indonesian-language textual data.Keywords: sentiment analysis, e-commerce, Naive Bayes, TF-IDF, text mining.

Abstract

Adolescent mental health is a crucial aspect of psychosocial development, influenced by the quality of communication between parents and children. This study aims to analyze the role of parental communication in maintaining adolescent mental health at SMA Negeri 11 Medan. The study used a qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with several adolescents as key informants. The interview instrument covered the frequency of communication with parents, emotional experiences after interactions, expected forms of support, and adolescents' perspectives on the role of communication in maintaining mental health. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that open, empathetic, and supportive communication from parents can increase adolescents' sense of emotional security, strengthen emotional regulation, and foster psychological resilience. Conversely, minimal or authoritarian communication patterns can cause emotional distress and diminish mental well-being. This study confirms that effective communication within the family is a protective factor for adolescent mental health in the school environment.

Abstract

Civics education in elementary schools still faces various challenges, particularly in delivering learning materials that tend to be theoretical and less engaging for students. As a result, students’ understanding of the meaning and application of the five principles of Pancasila remains limited. This study aims to improve students’ learning comprehension of the five principles of Pancasila through the use of 3D cartoon-style animated videos as learning media. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles. The results indicate that the use of 3D cartoon-style animated videos effectively enhances students’ understanding of the five principles of Pancasila. Improvements were observed in students’ comprehension scores and learning participation from the first cycle to the second cycle. Therefore, 3D animated video media can serve as an effective alternative learning tool to improve elementary school students’ understanding of Pancasila values.

Abstract

Motor development is an important aspect in the growth and development of elementary school students, one effort that can be made to optimize students' motor development is through Physical Education, Sports, and Health (Penjaskes) learning. This study used a descriptive qualitative. The results showed that Penjaskes learning implemented in a planned, varied, and fun manner can improve students' gross and fine motor skills. The physical development of elementary school-aged children includes coordination of body movements such as running, tiptoeing, jumping, hanging, etc. These activities are necessary to improve gross motor coordination skills. However, motor development at this age becomes smoother and more regular compared to infancy. They appear to run faster and are good at jumping and are able to maintain their body balance. To refine motor skills, children must continue to do physical activities and in addition, children must also be involved in sports activities such as gymnastics, swimming, etc.
