Abstract

This study examines the requirements and status of educators from the perspective of the hadith of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The study aims to analyze the concept of educators, their ideal characteristics, and their strategic position within the Islamic education system based on educational (tarbawi) hadiths. A qualitative approach with library research and thematic (maudhu’i) analysis was employed. Data were collected from hadith compilations and Islamic education literature and analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. The findings indicate that the Prophet’s hadiths place educators in a noble and strategic position, with key requirements including mastery of knowledge, sincerity, noble character, patience, and exemplary conduct. This holistic concept of educators remains highly relevant for strengthening the professionalism and integrity of Islamic educators in the modern era.AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji syarat dan kedudukan pendidik dalam perspektif hadits Nabi Muhammad ﷺ. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep pendidik, karakteristik ideal, serta posisi strategis pendidik dalam sistem pendidikan Islam berdasarkan hadits-hadits tarbawi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode kepustakaan dan analisis tematik (maudhu’i). Data diperoleh dari kitab-kitab hadits dan literatur pendidikan Islam, kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif-deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hadits Nabi menempatkan pendidik pada kedudukan yang mulia dan strategis, dengan syarat utama meliputi penguasaan ilmu, keikhlasan, akhlak mulia, kesabaran, dan keteladanan. Konsep pendidik dalam hadits bersifat holistik dan relevan untuk penguatan profesionalitas serta integritas pendidik Islam di era modern.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the virtues of learning and teaching from the perspective of the hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW. Using a qualitative approach with a library research method, this study analyzes hadith collections, Islamic education books, and scholarly journal articles related to hadith tarbawi. The findings indicate that learning and teaching hold a noble status in Islam and are considered acts of worship. Seeking knowledge is an obligation for every Muslim, while teaching knowledge is regarded as a continuous charity (amal jariyah). The hadiths also emphasize the importance of ethics, sincere intention, and exemplary conduct in the educational process. This study concludes that the values of hadith tarbawi remain relevant as a foundation for Islamic education oriented toward moral and intellectual development.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji keutamaan belajar dan mengajar dalam perspektif hadits Nabi Muhammad SAW. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan terhadap kitab hadits, buku pendidikan Islam, dan artikel jurnal terkait hadits tarbawi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa belajar dan mengajar memiliki kedudukan mulia dalam Islam dan bernilai ibadah. Menuntut ilmu merupakan kewajiban setiap Muslim, sedangkan mengajar merupakan amal jariyah yang pahalanya terus mengalir. Hadits Nabi juga menekankan pentingnya etika, niat, dan keteladanan dalam proses pendidikan. Kajian ini menegaskan bahwa nilai-nilai hadits tarbawi relevan sebagai landasan pendidikan Islam yang berorientasi pada pembentukan akhlak dan keilmuan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the functions of Islamic educational institutions in informal, formal, and non-formal pathways. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by examining scholarly books and journal articles related to Islamic education. The findings indicate that informal Islamic education serves as the foundation for character building and religious values, formal Islamic education plays a role in developing students’ academic and professional competencies, while non-formal Islamic education functions as a reinforcement of Islamic understanding and community empowerment. The synergy among these three educational pathways is crucial in achieving holistic and sustainable Islamic education goals. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fungsi lembaga-lembaga pendidikan Islam pada jalur informal, formal, dan nonformal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan terhadap berbagai sumber ilmiah yang relevan dengan pendidikan Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Islam informal berfungsi sebagai fondasi pembentukan karakter dan nilai religius, pendidikan Islam formal berperan dalam pengembangan kompetensi akademik dan profesional peserta didik, sedangkan pendidikan Islam nonformal berfungsi sebagai penguat pemahaman keislaman dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Sinergi antara ketiga jalur pendidikan tersebut menjadi faktor penting dalam mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan Islam yang holistik dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study examines Islam in the Philippines by focusing on the development of Islam and its influence in the modern era. The study aims to analyze the historical dynamics of Islam, the role of Islamic education, and the social influence of Islam within the context of Muslim minority communities in the Philippines. A qualitative approach with a historical method was employed through library research. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques by interpreting sources related to Islamic history, education, and thought in the Philippines. The findings indicate that Islam in the Philippines has developed in an adaptive and contextual manner through the strengthening of Islamic education, dynamic religious thought, and social and humanitarian activities. Islam plays a significant role in preserving religious identity while promoting social integration within modern Philippine society. AbstrakPenelitian ini membahas Islam di Filipina dengan fokus pada perkembangan Islam dan pengaruhnya di era modern. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika historis Islam, peran pendidikan Islam, serta pengaruh sosial Islam dalam konteks masyarakat Muslim minoritas di Filipina. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode historis melalui studi kepustakaan. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif-deskriptif dengan menafsirkan berbagai sumber terkait sejarah, pendidikan, dan pemikiran Islam di Filipina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Islam di Filipina berkembang secara adaptif dan kontekstual melalui penguatan pendidikan Islam, pemikiran keagamaan yang dinamis, serta aktivitas sosial dan kemanusiaan. Islam berperan penting dalam menjaga identitas keagamaan sekaligus mendorong integrasi sosial umat Islam di tengah masyarakat Filipina modern.

Abstract

This study examines the rise of Islamic nationalism in the nineteenth century as a response to Western colonialism, political decline in the Islamic world, and social inequality experienced by Muslim societies. The study aims to analyze the historical background, driving factors, and the role of Islam and key figures in shaping national consciousness. A qualitative approach with a historical research method was employed through library research. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques involving heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The findings indicate that Islamic nationalism emerged as a collective consciousness grounded in Islamic values and manifested through da‘wah movements, socio-political organizations, and modern Islamic education. Islamic nationalism demonstrates a dynamic and contextual character and contributed significantly to the formation of Indonesian nationalism in the early twentieth century.AbstrakPenelitian ini mengkaji bangkitnya nasionalisme Islam pada abad ke-19 sebagai respons terhadap kolonialisme Barat, kemunduran politik dunia Islam, serta ketimpangan sosial yang dialami umat Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis latar belakang historis, faktor pendorong, serta peran Islam dan tokoh-tokoh pergerakan dalam membentuk kesadaran kebangsaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian sejarah melalui studi kepustakaan. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif-deskriptif dengan tahapan heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nasionalisme Islam berkembang sebagai kesadaran kolektif berbasis nilai-nilai keislaman yang diwujudkan melalui gerakan dakwah, organisasi sosial-politik, dan pendidikan Islam modern. Nasionalisme Islam memiliki karakter dinamis dan kontekstual, serta berkontribusi signifikan terhadap pembentukan nasionalisme Indonesia pada awal abad ke-20.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the position of knowledgeable people from the perspective of the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad SAW and its implications for Islamic education. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from the Prophet’s hadiths and relevant scholarly literature, which were analyzed through thematic content analysis. The findings reveal that the hadiths place knowledgeable individuals in a noble and strategic position as the heirs of the prophets, granting them a high status and a crucial role in shaping moral character and Islamic civilization. Knowledge is viewed as the fundamental basis for worship, righteous deeds, and education. This study emphasizes that honoring knowledgeable people is a vital foundation for the development of Islamic education oriented toward character building and the welfare of the Muslim community. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kedudukan orang berilmu dalam perspektif hadits Nabi Muhammad SAW serta implikasinya terhadap pendidikan Islam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan. Data diperoleh dari hadits-hadits Nabi dan literatur ilmiah yang relevan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis isi secara tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hadits Nabi menempatkan orang berilmu pada kedudukan yang mulia sebagai pewaris para nabi, memiliki derajat yang tinggi, dan berperan penting dalam pembentukan akhlak serta peradaban umat. Ilmu dipandang sebagai dasar utama dalam beribadah, beramal, dan mendidik. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pemuliaan terhadap orang berilmu merupakan fondasi penting dalam pengembangan pendidikan Islam yang berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter dan kemaslahatan umat.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the initial entry of Islam into the Netherlands, its influence, and its development in the modern era. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing relevant academic literature. The findings indicate that Islam entered the Netherlands through colonial encounters and migration processes, later developing through the establishment of religious and educational institutions. Despite challenges such as integration issues and Islamophobia, Islam in the Netherlands has demonstrated adaptability and contributed to multicultural society. This study highlights that Islam possesses the capacity to coexist and develop peacefully within non-Muslim societies through moderate and dialogical approaches. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji awal masuknya Islam di Belanda, pengaruh Islam, serta dinamika perkembangannya dalam konteks modern. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan melalui analisis literatur akademik yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Islam masuk ke Belanda melalui jalur kolonialisme dan migrasi, kemudian berkembang melalui pembentukan institusi keagamaan dan pendidikan. Meskipun menghadapi tantangan integrasi dan Islamofobia, Islam di Belanda mampu beradaptasi dan berkontribusi dalam kehidupan masyarakat multikultural. Abstract

This study aims to examine the epistemology of hadith tarbawi, focusing on its definition, scope, and development within the framework of Islamic education. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research. Data were collected from various academic books and scholarly journals related to hadith tarbawi, Islamic educational epistemology, and tafsir tarbawi. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis using a philosophical-epistemological approach. The findings indicate that the epistemology of hadith tarbawi positions the Prophet’s hadith as an integrative source of educational knowledge that combines revelation, reason, and social reality. Its scope includes sources of knowledge, methods of understanding hadith, and the value orientation of Islamic education. Furthermore, the development of hadith tarbawi epistemology reflects a shift toward contextual and multidisciplinary approaches, making it relevant for addressing contemporary challenges in Islamic education.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji epistemologi hadis tarbawi yang meliputi definisi, ruang lingkup, dan perkembangannya dalam konteks pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan. Data diperoleh dari berbagai literatur berupa buku dan jurnal ilmiah yang relevan dengan hadis tarbawi, epistemologi pendidikan Islam, dan tafsir tarbawi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui analisis isi dengan pendekatan filosofis-epistemologis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa epistemologi hadis tarbawi menempatkan hadis Nabi sebagai sumber pengetahuan pendidikan yang integratif antara wahyu, akal, dan realitas sosial. Ruang lingkupnya mencakup sumber, metode pemahaman, serta orientasi nilai pendidikan Islam. Perkembangan epistemologi hadis tarbawi menunjukkan pergeseran menuju pendekatan kontekstual dan multidisipliner, sehingga relevan dalam menjawab tantangan pendidikan Islam kontemporer.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the history of Islamic civilization in Turkey by analyzing the development of the Ottoman Empire and its transformation into the modern era. The research employs a qualitative method using a historical approach and library research. Data were collected from relevant scholarly literature and academic journals discussing Islamic history in Turkey, particularly in political, educational, and cultural aspects. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive-analytical technique by interpreting historical events based on their periodization. The findings reveal that the Ottoman Empire played a central role in establishing a powerful and globally influential Islamic civilization. The integration of Islamic values into governance, legal systems, and educational institutions was a key factor in the advancement of Islamic civilization in Turkey. Despite the decline of the Ottoman Empire and the implementation of secularization policies during the Republican era, Islamic values have continued to persist within Turkey’s social and cultural life. This study concludes that Islamic civilization in Turkey demonstrates a dynamic and adaptive character in responding to historical changes.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sejarah peradaban Islam di Turki dengan menelaah perkembangan Dinasti Turki Usmani hingga transformasi menuju era modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan sejarah dan studi kepustakaan. Sumber data diperoleh dari berbagai literatur dan jurnal ilmiah yang relevan dengan sejarah Islam di Turki, khususnya yang membahas aspek politik, pendidikan, dan kebudayaan. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif-analitis dengan mengkaji peristiwa sejarah berdasarkan periodisasi perkembangan peradaban. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Dinasti Turki Usmani memainkan peran sentral dalam membangun peradaban Islam yang maju dan berpengaruh secara global. Integrasi antara nilai-nilai Islam dan sistem pemerintahan, hukum, serta pendidikan menjadi faktor utama kejayaan peradaban Islam di Turki. Meskipun mengalami kemunduran dan sekularisasi pada era Republik Turki, nilai-nilai Islam tetap bertahan dalam kehidupan sosial dan budaya masyarakat. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peradaban Islam di Turki bersifat dinamis dan adaptif terhadap perubahan zaman.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the nuances of Islamic education in the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, specifically reviewed from the aspect of national education objectives. This study uses a qualitative method with a juridical-normative and philosophical approach. Data sources consist of primary data in the form of Law Number 20 of 2003 and secondary data obtained through library studies from various relevant literature and scientific journals. Data collection techniques were carried out through library research, while data analysis used descriptive-qualitative techniques. The results of the study indicate that the objectives of national education contain values that are in line with the principles of Islamic education, especially in the aspects of faith, piety, noble character, and social responsibility. These values reflect the integration of Islamic education in the national education system that is inclusive and holistic. This study confirms that Islamic education has a vital role as a moral and spiritual foundation in shaping the direction and character of Indonesian national education.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nuansa pendidikan Islam dalam Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, khususnya ditinjau dari aspek tujuan pendidikan nasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan yuridis-normatif dan filosofis. Sumber data terdiri atas data primer berupa Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 dan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan dari berbagai literatur dan jurnal ilmiah yang relevan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui library research, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif-kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tujuan pendidikan nasional mengandung nilai-nilai yang sejalan dengan prinsip pendidikan Islam, terutama pada aspek iman, takwa, akhlak mulia, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Nilai-nilai tersebut mencerminkan integrasi pendidikan Islam dalam sistem pendidikan nasional yang bersifat inklusif dan holistik. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan Islam memiliki peran penting sebagai landasan moral dan spiritual dalam membentuk arah dan karakter pendidikan nasional Indonesia.
