Abstract

CHARACTER VALUES AND PERSONALITY INTERNALISATION OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION STUDENTS THROUGH HUMANIST-RELIGIOUS APPROACH. Islamic Teacher Training and Education Faculty has a strategic role in the effort to counteract demoralization and dehumanization. One of the efforts is by maximizing the academic process. The purpose of this study is to discover how the implementation of character education through a religious humanist approach is. Sources of data were from leaders, lecturers of Personality Development Subject, student and related matters. To get the data more deeply, researcher used Snowball Technique. Techniques used for collecting data were multiple methods. They were interview, documentation and observation. The results show that the character education design is hiddencurriculum. In the process done through the activities of Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi. It can be implemented through emphasizing regulations of lectures and socialization. They are building harmonious, humanist and religious relationships, kinship, promoting compassion, positive habituation, building a positive mindset of students, meaningful learning, lecturers as the living model, and integration of Islamic values. The easy access to the source of religious values will be able to maximize the effort to have cadres of future teachers who have humanist and religious character and personality.

Abstract

This article discusses the integration of Hamka's thought and concept of Humanist Islam in the context of childcare and applies it practically to shape children's character according to Humanist Islamic values. The basic assumption of this study is that the integration of Hamka's thought and Humanist Islam offers a holistic approach to shaping children's character, recognizing their spiritual, moral, and social needs. The method used in this study is qualitative, utilizing a comparative and holistic approach as the analytical tool. The findings reveal that Hamka views the role of parents as the main key in shaping children's character. The basic concept of Humanist Islam, with its emphasis on human values, can be applied in parenting to form a balanced and ethical character. The relevance of Hamka's concept of character proves significant in dealing with the dynamics of modern children's lives. Overall, the integration of Hamka's thought and Humanist Islam provides a solid and empowering framework for shaping children's character while remaining relevant in the face of modern life's challenges. Additionally, the concept of Humanist Islam has significant implications in childcare practices, especially within the Indonesian national education system, influencing learning methods, curriculum, and the attitudes of the educational environment. This shapes children to be quality, inclusive, and tolerant individuals. This research contributes to providing a theoretical and practical foundation for parents, educators, and related parties to understand, implement, and develop empowered parenting strategies.

Abstract

 Pendidikan karakter sangat berperan dalam membentuk kepribadian siswa sebagai agen perubahan.  Banyak pendidik tidak memahami hubungan yang sangat tertutup antara moral dan karakter. Selama ini pendidik hanya mengaktualisasikan konsep pendidikan karakter sebagai produk yang siap digunakan oleh siapa saja, kapan saja dan kepada setiap orang tanpa mendalam memahami teori dasar yang mendasari lahirnya konsep. Selain itu,  tahap  perkembangan moral peserta didik berpartisipasi dalam proses pencapaian sukses dampak besar dari pendidikan karakter. Tulisan ini diharapkan memberikan wawasan pendidik untuk mampu memahami terutama keberadaan aspek moral dan perkembangan,  sehingga melalui pemahaman  ini, mereka akan mendapatkan teknik pendidikan karakter yang efektif dan memiliki relevansi dengan peserta didik. Kajian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan. Hasil dari pembahasan didapatkan bahwa pendidik perlu memahami konsep Lawrence Kohlberg pada tahap perkembangan moral, pendidik perlu menerapkan tiga komponen utama pendidikan karakter yang meliputi moral yang mengetahui, perasaan moral, dan perilaku moral sebanding dengan aspek moral dan perkembangan.Kata kunci: pendidikan,  karakter, pengembangan, moralINTERVENTION OF LAWRENCE KOHLBERG’S MORAL DE- VELOPMENT THEORY IN THE DYNAMICS OF CHARACTER EDUCATION. Character  education  is very important  in forming the students’ personality as agents of change. Many educators do not understand the closed relationship between the moral and character. During this period, educators only actualize the character educational concept as a product that is ready to be used by anyone, anytime  and to any person without deeply understanding the basic theory underlying the birth of the concept. Moreover, the learners’ moral development stages participate  in the process of achieving a big impact  success of character  education.  This  article  is expected  that educators  could comprehend  especially the  existence  of moral  and developmental aspects, so that through this understanding , they will get an effective character educational techniques and have relevance to the learners. This study  uses library  research. Te result of this study  is that the educators need to understand  the   Lawrence Kohlberg concept on moral developmental stages, educators are able to implement the three main components of character education.Keywords:  character, education, moral, development

Abstract

This research aims to develop potential ability instruments for placement tests in graduate degrees. This study used the research and development instrument made by Hambleton and Jones sequences. The potential abilities measured by the instrument are academic potential and language skills. The product was reviewed by professional assessor and used in admission for selection in the academic years 2016/2017. The professional assessor reviewed the content, test construction, and language aspect. The construct and content validity from the professional assessor reached a good level with minor revision for the next selection. Ultimately, the results of the reviewing process are the potential academic test must not measure prior knowledge but the initial potential of the candidate and test for language should be emphasized on prior knowledge for Islamic study.

Abstract

Persepsi orang terhadap pendidikan sangat beragam. “Sekolah Jalanan”  menjadi jargon dari komunitas Pall Punk terhadap pendidikannya.  Jargon  “Sekolah Jalanan” yang diucapkan para anggota komunitas Pall Punk menunjukkan bahwa pada dasarnya komunitas Pall Punk membutuhkan pendidikan seperti masyarakat pada umumnya. Penelitian ini berusaha menyingkap lebih jauh pandangan komunitas Pall Punk terhadap pendidikan, khusunya terhadap jargon “sekolah jalanan”. Penelitian  ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasil dari kajian ini adalah potret pendidikan jalanan ala Pall punk.  Hal ini ditandai dengan adanya beberapa anggota Pall Punk dalam memenuhi kebutuhan -pendidikan- melalui sebuah institusi. Disisi lain tidak sedikit anggota Pall Punk tidak sekolah, karena implikasi dari jargon “sekolah jalanan”. Sedangkan  polarisasi yang terjadi bukanlah suatu kontradiksi melainkan -dalam pandangan mereka adalah-kebebasan berekspresi dan memilih, dan hal itu menjadi hak bagi setiap anggota yang bergabung dalam komunitas. Hal itu tidak menjadikan anggota punk yang sekolah –di lembaga- berani keluar dari komunitasnya.kata kunci : Pendidikan, Jalanan, Pall Punk.“SEKOLAH JALANAN” EDUCATION IN PALL PUNK COMMUNITY OF  KUDUS. The  perception  of people towards education  is very diverse. «Sekolah Jalanan” becomes jargon of Pall Punk  community  towards education. Jargon “Schools Streets” which is stated  by Pall  Punk community  members  shows that basically Pall Punks  need education community. This research analyzed the Pall Punk community’s view to education, especially jargon “Sekolah Jalanan”. This study used a qualitative method with phenomenological approach. Result from this study was style portrait of Pall punk. It is characterized by the presence of several members of Pall Punk joining class or education. In contrary, not few members of Pall Punk who do not study because of the implications of jargon “Sekolah Jalanan”. The polarization is not a contradiction but -in their view is-freedom of expression and choice, and it will be right for every member who joined the community.  This reason does not make the punk members who study in the formal institution will stop their study.keywords: Education, Street,Pall Punk .
