Abstract

CHARACTER VALUES AND PERSONALITY INTERNALISATION OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION STUDENTS THROUGH HUMANIST-RELIGIOUS APPROACH. Islamic Teacher Training and Education Faculty has a strategic role in the effort to counteract demoralization and dehumanization. One of the efforts is by maximizing the academic process. The purpose of this study is to discover how the implementation of character education through a religious humanist approach is. Sources of data were from leaders, lecturers of Personality Development Subject, student and related matters. To get the data more deeply, researcher used Snowball Technique. Techniques used for collecting data were multiple methods. They were interview, documentation and observation. The results show that the character education design is hiddencurriculum. In the process done through the activities of Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi. It can be implemented through emphasizing regulations of lectures and socialization. They are building harmonious, humanist and religious relationships, kinship, promoting compassion, positive habituation, building a positive mindset of students, meaningful learning, lecturers as the living model, and integration of Islamic values. The easy access to the source of religious values will be able to maximize the effort to have cadres of future teachers who have humanist and religious character and personality.

Abstract

This article discusses the integration of Hamka's thought and concept of Humanist Islam in the context of childcare and applies it practically to shape children's character according to Humanist Islamic values. The basic assumption of this study is that the integration of Hamka's thought and Humanist Islam offers a holistic approach to shaping children's character, recognizing their spiritual, moral, and social needs. The method used in this study is qualitative, utilizing a comparative and holistic approach as the analytical tool. The findings reveal that Hamka views the role of parents as the main key in shaping children's character. The basic concept of Humanist Islam, with its emphasis on human values, can be applied in parenting to form a balanced and ethical character. The relevance of Hamka's concept of character proves significant in dealing with the dynamics of modern children's lives. Overall, the integration of Hamka's thought and Humanist Islam provides a solid and empowering framework for shaping children's character while remaining relevant in the face of modern life's challenges. Additionally, the concept of Humanist Islam has significant implications in childcare practices, especially within the Indonesian national education system, influencing learning methods, curriculum, and the attitudes of the educational environment. This shapes children to be quality, inclusive, and tolerant individuals. This research contributes to providing a theoretical and practical foundation for parents, educators, and related parties to understand, implement, and develop empowered parenting strategies.

Abstract

 Pendidikan karakter sangat berperan dalam membentuk kepribadian siswa sebagai agen perubahan.  Banyak pendidik tidak memahami hubungan yang sangat tertutup antara moral dan karakter. Selama ini pendidik hanya mengaktualisasikan konsep pendidikan karakter sebagai produk yang siap digunakan oleh siapa saja, kapan saja dan kepada setiap orang tanpa mendalam memahami teori dasar yang mendasari lahirnya konsep. Selain itu,  tahap  perkembangan moral peserta didik berpartisipasi dalam proses pencapaian sukses dampak besar dari pendidikan karakter. Tulisan ini diharapkan memberikan wawasan pendidik untuk mampu memahami terutama keberadaan aspek moral dan perkembangan,  sehingga melalui pemahaman  ini, mereka akan mendapatkan teknik pendidikan karakter yang efektif dan memiliki relevansi dengan peserta didik. Kajian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan. Hasil dari pembahasan didapatkan bahwa pendidik perlu memahami konsep Lawrence Kohlberg pada tahap perkembangan moral, pendidik perlu menerapkan tiga komponen utama pendidikan karakter yang meliputi moral yang mengetahui, perasaan moral, dan perilaku moral sebanding dengan aspek moral dan perkembangan.Kata kunci: pendidikan,  karakter, pengembangan, moralINTERVENTION OF LAWRENCE KOHLBERG’S MORAL DE- VELOPMENT THEORY IN THE DYNAMICS OF CHARACTER EDUCATION. Character  education  is very important  in forming the students’ personality as agents of change. Many educators do not understand the closed relationship between the moral and character. During this period, educators only actualize the character educational concept as a product that is ready to be used by anyone, anytime  and to any person without deeply understanding the basic theory underlying the birth of the concept. Moreover, the learners’ moral development stages participate  in the process of achieving a big impact  success of character  education.  This  article  is expected  that educators  could comprehend  especially the  existence  of moral  and developmental aspects, so that through this understanding , they will get an effective character educational techniques and have relevance to the learners. This study  uses library  research. Te result of this study  is that the educators need to understand  the   Lawrence Kohlberg concept on moral developmental stages, educators are able to implement the three main components of character education.Keywords:  character, education, moral, development

Abstract

This research aims to develop potential ability instruments for placement tests in graduate degrees. This study used the research and development instrument made by Hambleton and Jones sequences. The potential abilities measured by the instrument are academic potential and language skills. The product was reviewed by professional assessor and used in admission for selection in the academic years 2016/2017. The professional assessor reviewed the content, test construction, and language aspect. The construct and content validity from the professional assessor reached a good level with minor revision for the next selection. Ultimately, the results of the reviewing process are the potential academic test must not measure prior knowledge but the initial potential of the candidate and test for language should be emphasized on prior knowledge for Islamic study.

Abstract

Persepsi orang terhadap pendidikan sangat beragam. “Sekolah Jalanan”  menjadi jargon dari komunitas Pall Punk terhadap pendidikannya.  Jargon  “Sekolah Jalanan” yang diucapkan para anggota komunitas Pall Punk menunjukkan bahwa pada dasarnya komunitas Pall Punk membutuhkan pendidikan seperti masyarakat pada umumnya. Penelitian ini berusaha menyingkap lebih jauh pandangan komunitas Pall Punk terhadap pendidikan, khusunya terhadap jargon “sekolah jalanan”. Penelitian  ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasil dari kajian ini adalah potret pendidikan jalanan ala Pall punk.  Hal ini ditandai dengan adanya beberapa anggota Pall Punk dalam memenuhi kebutuhan -pendidikan- melalui sebuah institusi. Disisi lain tidak sedikit anggota Pall Punk tidak sekolah, karena implikasi dari jargon “sekolah jalanan”. Sedangkan  polarisasi yang terjadi bukanlah suatu kontradiksi melainkan -dalam pandangan mereka adalah-kebebasan berekspresi dan memilih, dan hal itu menjadi hak bagi setiap anggota yang bergabung dalam komunitas. Hal itu tidak menjadikan anggota punk yang sekolah –di lembaga- berani keluar dari komunitasnya.kata kunci : Pendidikan, Jalanan, Pall Punk.“SEKOLAH JALANAN” EDUCATION IN PALL PUNK COMMUNITY OF  KUDUS. The  perception  of people towards education  is very diverse. «Sekolah Jalanan” becomes jargon of Pall Punk  community  towards education. Jargon “Schools Streets” which is stated  by Pall  Punk community  members  shows that basically Pall Punks  need education community. This research analyzed the Pall Punk community’s view to education, especially jargon “Sekolah Jalanan”. This study used a qualitative method with phenomenological approach. Result from this study was style portrait of Pall punk. It is characterized by the presence of several members of Pall Punk joining class or education. In contrary, not few members of Pall Punk who do not study because of the implications of jargon “Sekolah Jalanan”. The polarization is not a contradiction but -in their view is-freedom of expression and choice, and it will be right for every member who joined the community.  This reason does not make the punk members who study in the formal institution will stop their study.keywords: Education, Street,Pall Punk .

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the implementation of mindfulness, particularly mindful self-compassion, in managing academic emotions in Islamic Religious Education and Character Education learning at SMA 1 Bae. This study addresses the absence of a holistic approach in assessing students’ spiritual development, particularly in terms of emotional management under academic challenges. Integrating mindfulness into Islamic Religious Education and Character Education learning is viewed as a vital teaching method to improve students’ emotional balance and spiritual well-being. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, involving in-depth interviews with students, Islamic Religious Education and Character Education teachers, and school counselors. Observations and thematic analyses were also conducted to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the participants’ experiences. The findings reveal that mindfulness practices encompassing self-kindness, common humanity, and mindful awareness help students manage academic anxiety, cope with failure, and build hope, empathy, and positive social interactions. The integration of mindfulness into Islamic Religious Education and Character Education learning not only strengthens students’ emotional management but also fosters their character and spiritual development. This study contributes to the development of a comprehensive model of religious education that extends to cognitive assessment by focusing on students' emotional and spiritual well-being in the context of secondary education.

Abstract

CONTEXTUALIZATION OF SPIRITUAL EDUCATION VALUES IN STRENGTHENING “ASSIDDIANG” CULTURE COMMUNITY OF BUGIS “KAMPUNG GURU PINRANG”. This study aimed to describe the characteristics and contextualization of education spiritual values on strengthening Assiddiang culture as Local Wisdom in the perspective of Islamic practice Bugis community at Kampung Guru Pinrang. This study was categorized as field research with descriptive qualitative-naturalistic approach and case studies. The data were analysed using interactive model analysis proposed by Miles and Huberman: data reduction, data display, conclusions and verification. The results showed that the spiritual education values practiced by Bugis community have strengthened their Assiddiang culture (unity). Assiddiang culture is identified as local wisdom in the Islamic practice Bugis community Kampung Guru. This culture has been internalized so this values system internalization needs to be maintained and has contributed to the planting of the value and character of social change, especially in Bugis community and Indonesian people in general.

Abstract

Model  evaluasi pembelajaran  harus  senantiasa ditingkatkan kualitasnya, tidak hanya pada proses belajar mengajar di kelas saja. Model  evaluasi pembelajaran  akan meningkatkan kualitas belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji model pembelajaran yang dipakai dalam proses belajar mengajar mata kuliah Model  Belajar  Mengajar Pendidikan Islam dan untuk mengetahui peran antar  variabel yaitu   proses  pembelajaran mata kuliah strategi pembelajaran  pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) terhadap output pembelajaran mata mata kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran  pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa  Tarbiyah Jurusan Pendidikan Islam, STAIN  Kudus  yang  berjumlah 152  orang.  Subjek penelitian diambil dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Pengumpulan data  dilakukan   dengan  menyebarkan angket dan analisis menggunakan   Structural  Equation  Model (SEM). Hasil  penelitian   ini  menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh  proses pembelajaran  mata kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran  PAI terhadap output  pembelajaran  mata kuliah strategi pembelajaran  PAI dapat diterima. Dan proses pembelajaran mata  kuliah strategi pembelajaran  pendidikan  Agama Islam (PAI) memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap output pembelajaran mata mata kuliah Strategi Pembelajaran pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI).Kata kunci: model, evaluasi, pembelajaran, pendidikan,  PAI.EVALUATION MODEL ON  “STRATEGI  PEMBELAJARAN PAI” TEACHING. Teaching evaluation model should be improved, not only its teaching and learning process. Teaching evaluation model improve the teaching and learning quality. This research aims to test the process of learning and teaching subject lesson of process of learning and teaching Islamic Education model and to know the analysis result of variables. They are teaching and learning process of subject ‘Strategi Pembelajaran PAI’ (Learning Strategy of Islamic Education).  The subjects in this research were Tarbiyah Department students on Islamic Education  Major of Kudus State Islamic College. The subjects in this study taken by using random  sampling  technique. They were 152 students. The data collection conducted by disseminating questionare. The analisis used Structural Equation Model (SEM). Then, the result of research showed that the influence of teaching and learning process to the output  was received and the process of learning and teaching had good influence to the learning and teaching output.Keywords: model, evaluation, learning , education islam

Abstract

ISLAM AND HUMANITY PROBLEMS IN PEDAGOGIC OF FREEDOM PERSPECTIVE. This study is intended to provide an overview of Islam and humanity problems that have recently developed as a result of the era of globalization and the solution of pedagogic of freedom perspective. Mahathir Mohamad said that globalization era becomes the arena of competition in all aspects of human life, whether social, economic, political, cultural, ideological, and defense and security aspects. Therefore, there is often a tendency of great competition and collision between developed and developing countries and even repressions often happen, one of them is the unfairness of rich aristocracy qou status acts abusively against the poor and small groups. For example, the case of dehumanism to the people of Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Syria and some Muslim countries in Africa is evidence of the loss of justice values. From the beginning, Islam actually condemns the behavior of injustice, Islam is present to defend the oppressed (mustadl'afin) both systematically and sociologically. Asghar Ali Engineer tries to articulate the theology of liberation Islam in education with the aim of defending mustadl'afin groups by giving awareness and equipping them with a very powerful ideological ideology against the oppressors.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran peran pendidikan Islam terhadap perubahan social yang terjadi dalam struktur dan fungsi masyarakat. Pendekatan dalam peneltian ini adalah penelitian  kepustakaan.   Pendidikan merupakan sistem  dan cara meningkatkan  kualitas hidup manusia dalam segala aspek kehidupan manusia. Bagaimana agar pendidikan itu tidak hanya hanyut oleh dinamika perubahan, tetapi ia mampu memerankan dirinya sebagai agen perubahan itu sendiri. Islam sebagai agama rahmat bagi seluruh alam, tentu sangat memperhatikan keadaan masyarakat. Hal ini terlihat dari bukti sejarah, bagaimana Nabi Muhammad SAW membangun  masyarakat Arab. Kemudian terus berkembang hingga Islam tersebar ke seluruh penjuru dunia. Hasil dari kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa Islam membangun masyarakat melalui pendidikan, karena proses pendidikan merupakan salah satu cara yang efektif dalam membangun umat. Dalam pendidikan Islam selalu memperhatikan dua sudut pandang dalam segala aspek, seperti aspek lahiriyah dan bathiniyah, aspek individual dan sosial, duniawi dan ukhrowi, yaitu terbentuknya  insan kamil.Kata kunci: peran, pendidikan Islam, perubahan sosial.THE ROLE OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION TOWARDS SOCIAL CHANGE. This study aims to find out the role of Islamic education towards social change that occurred in the structure and function of the community. This study uses library research. Education  is a system and way to improve the quality of human life in all aspects of human life. Education  as an aspect of life that cannot be separated from the community. How to make the education that not only strewn by the dynamics  change, but it was able to portray as an agent of change itself. Islam as a religion of mercy for all of nature certainly pays more attention to the circumstances of the community. This  is apparent from the evidence of history, how the Prophet Muhammad  built the Arabic community. Then continue to evolve until Islam spreads into all over the world. The result oh this articel show that Islam built the community  through education, because the process of education is one of the effective ways in building people. In Islamic education always pays attention to two viewpoints in all aspects, such as lahiriyah and bathiniyah aspects, individual  and social aspects, worldly and hereafter, i.e. the formation of ‘insan kamil’ or perfect human.Keywords: role, Islamic education, social change.
