Abstract

THE DEVELOPMENT OF INCLUSIVE MADRASAH MODEL (A STUDY  OF PREPAREDNESS AND DEVELOPMENT MODELS OF INCLUSIVE MADRASAH CURRICULUM IN MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH AL HIDAYAH MARGOREJO SURABAYA). This research was motivated by the existence of learners in MI Al-Hidayah consisting of regular learners and learners with special needs. It was  also conducted considering that in the city of Surabaya, inclusive madrasah model hasn’t been  found. This study aims to analyze the preparedness of madrasah towards inclusive madrasah, and to develop one of the products needed in the development of inclusive madrasah that is document product I of inclusive madrasah curriculum. This research used development research model. The results of the research were: first, 100% or all respondents expressed readiness to welcome the change from regular madrasah to inclusive madrasah as proved by the commitment to participate, promote, and avoid resistance to change. Second, document model I of the inclusive madrasah curriculum developed in Madrasah Al-Hidayah based on long term local needs analysis using four models: duplication model, modification, substitution and omission. The four,  models are not contained in the curriculum document I MI Al-Hidayah. The four curriculum models will be clarified on the design of PPI, syllabus and RPP (Lesson Plan).

Abstract

This study uses Prophet Muhammad's integrated paradigm of Islamic intellectual heritage, which formed the epistemic foundation of the Medinah civilization. If Muslim scientists believed that expertise in one scientific field required proficiency in others or encyclopedic knowledge, polymath scientists have been replaced by highly specialized scientists who ignore these broader scientific regions. Contemporary Islamic scientific references, as a result, lack hybridity. Western knowledge typically trumps Islamic wisdom in scientific credibility. This study, thus, collected and analyzed data using qualitative methodologies and library resources. This study focuses on exploratory qualitative data from the perspectives of various scholars on the "Integration of Knowledge," aiming to reformulate an integration between traditional and contemporary knowledge that is adaptive in Indonesia’s education. Many epistemology studies have concentrated on Islamic literature and ignored Western knowledge. Unlike modern Eurocentrism, certain scientific integration studies value all information sources equally.

Abstract

The article aims to investigate the role of waqf in the modernization of education in Pesantren, by using a case study of the utilization of productive waqf at Modern Pesantren of Gontor and Pesantren of Tebuireng Jombang. The Method used is qualitative with phenomenological approach and comparative study. The result of the study shows that the pesantren built with Islamic philantrophy in the form of waqf institution is a good model for development of pesantren education in Indonesia’s contemporary era. The development process of waqf pesantren of Gontor Modern Pesantren and Tebuireng Pesantren is carried out with several supporting pillars, including: the pesantren administrators’ dedication of their wealth as waqf, the professional institutionalization of waqf pesantren in the form of the foundation’s legal entity, the productive management of waqf assets, and the productive utilization of waqf for the development of education. Both pesantrens have proven that the foundations’ nazir (administrator of waqf) have succeeded in productively managing the waqf in the pesantren community. This further cement the importance of pesantren as an integral part of the society.

Abstract

This study examined the social dynamics of Smart Class Initiative (SCI) students within a pesantren-based education system at SMA Unggulan Haf-Sa Zainul Hasan BPPT Genggong Probolinggo. Drawing on Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences and the Indonesian Ministry of Education Regulation No. 12/2024 on gifted education, the research addressed common social challenges among excellent students, such as feelings of alienation and reduced peer interaction. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participant observations at school and dormitory settings, and literature reviews. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model and Johnny Saldana’s coding techniques. The findings revealed that SCI services did not create social gaps between SCI and regular students. Pesantren activities have encouraged active social engagement manifested through academic collaboration and mutual support. From Alfred Adler’s perspective, regular students’ feelings of inferiority stimulated positive social compensation reinforced by Islamic ukhuwah, resulting in an inclusive environment. The study highlighted the pesantren’s role as a mediator that has prevented introversion among excellent students. However, its single-site focus limits generalization, indicating the need for future comparative research.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bermaksud mengkaji tentang implementasi kurikulum pada pendidikan dasar yang berbasis pada kesetaraan gender. Untuk maksud tersebut, penulis melakukan penelitian kualitatif. Dengan melihat berbagai fenomena bias dan diskriminasi gender yang selama ini membudaya, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan menjadikan upaya untuk membangun kurikulum berperspektif gender menemukan relevansinya. Pendidikan dasar, sebagai upaya membangun pengetahuan, keterampilan  dan sikap sejak dini menjadi hal penting dalam sosialisasi dan penanaman keadilan gender.Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat diketahui bahwa implementasi kurikulum berperspektif  gender ini bisa dilakukan  melalui  beberapa pendekatan, baik secara implisit, eksplisit,  perubahan maupun aksi sosial sebagai upaya dalam meminimalisir bias gender yang ada dalam pendidikan, tentunya dengan berbagai formulasi yang ditawarkan.Kata kunci: kurikulum, pendidikan,  genderBASIC EDUCATION CURRICULUM IN A GENDER PERS- PECTIVE. This paper  intends  to examine the implementation  of the curriculum in primary education based on gender equality.  For that purpose, the authors did a qualitative  research. By looking at the various of bias phenomena  and gender discrimination  that is widespread, including in the world of education is making  efforts to build the curriculum based on gender perspective finds its relevance. Primary  education, as an effort  in building  the  knowledge, skills and attitude  since early phase becomes an important  thing in the socialization and instilling  the  gender justice. From  the  results of research that has been done, it can be noted that the implementation of the curriculum based on gender perspective can be done through a number of approaches, either implicitly or explicitly, changes, or social action in an effort to minimize  the gender bias that exists in education, of course with the variety of formulations  that are offered.Keywords:  curriculum, primary education, gender

Abstract

Curriculum has strategic values in the era of independent campus. This research aims to construct a curriculum based multiple perspectives tends to learners’ preference and diversity in Islamic Higher Education. It’s a mix-method research. Qualitative methods, using naturalistic design with interactive models, while quantitative methods with cross-sectional surveys to determine the level of stakeholder’s understandings and the result of it. The result found that multiple dimensions leads to an eternal-essential closed to the Oneness of God, creativity, capability. The other one refers to instrument; model, knowledge, organization, sequence, need analysis, purpose, value, and stakeholder. Furthermore, the appropriate one tends to an essential-humanistic technologies curriculum in fulfilling for independent campus recognition.

Abstract

Meningkatnya kerusakan lingkungan hidup hutan dan ketidakjelasan solusinya menarik untuk diteliti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan jawaban  proses meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk melestarikan lingkungan hidup. Penelitian ini menggunakan  pendekatan Participation Action Research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pengembangan kesadaran melestarikan lingkungan hidup dilakukan  dengan mengembangkan  partisipasi melalui kegiatan kelompok  sebagai media komunikasi untuk   merumuskan  penyebab terjadinya  kerusakan lingkungan hidup, serta menemukan pemecahan masalah melalui pendidikanagama. Hambatan internal dalam mengembangkan kesadaran melestarikan lingkungan adalah latar belakang ekonomi, rendahnya  pemahaman masyarakat terhadap dampak  perusakan lingkungan hidup hutan, dan rendahnya  pemahaman agama.  Faktor eksternal meliputi provokasi dari luar daerah yang mempengaruhi masyarakat melakukan pengerusakan hutan, tingginya nilai jual, dan tersedianya pasar  yang memanfaatkan hasil pencurian. Solusi untuk mengembangkan kesadaran masyarakat adalah meningkatkan sikap humanisme melalui sosialisasi materi pelestarian lingkungan dan  pendidikanagama dengan pendekatan terpadu.

Abstract

In the era of massive information sources, the ability of the young generation to have critical thinking, literacy, and numeracy skills is needed. These three variables are the focus of this study: how are students' abilities in critical thinking, literacy, and numeracy using STEM-based learning? To answer this problem, the researchers employed mixed research with an explanatory sequential design. The researchers used quantitative analysis and then utilized qualitative. The findings of this study revealed that STEM exerted a good influence on student learning. The findings of this study also stated that the ability of students to think critically was in a good category (n=76,55), literacy was in a good category (n=3,58), and numeracy was in a neutral category (n=58,57). In addition, the researchers uncovered that STEM is an alternative to teaching science and produces critical thinking, literacy, and numeracy skills.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk melacak  pemikiran dan  gerakan keagamaan pesantren  di  era  globalisasi. Pendekatan dalam peneltian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan.  Hasil  penelitian ini adalah radikalisme dan liberalisme sebuah pesantren sangat tergantung kepada para pemimpin di pesantren tersebut (pemilik, kyai, atau santri senior). Jika arus pemikiran para pemimpinnya berkarakter radikal, maka sebuah pesantren beserta santrinya akan berpandangan  radikal, sedangkan jika para pemimpinnya berkarakter moderat, maka sebuah pesantren beserta santrinya berkarakter moderat, bahkan bisa menjadi liberal dalam situasi dan waktu tertentu.  Sejalan dengan globalisasi, wajah pesantren  di Indonesia sudah tidak lagi dimonopoli oleh kelompok tradisional atau fundamental-radikal, melainkan  sudah diwarnai oleh pesantren-pesantren baru yang di bentuk oleh kelompok Islam lainnya dengan wajah yang berbeda pula.Kata kunci: radikalisme, moderatisme, liberalisme, pesantren, globalisasi RADICALISM, MODERATISM, AND BOARDING LIBERALISM (KEEP TRACK OF THOUGHT AND BOARDING SCHOOL RELIGIOUS MOVEMENT’S IN THE GLOBALIZATION ERA). This study aims to track the movement of thought and boarding school religious movement  in the globalization  era. This study uses library research. The result of this study is the radicalism and liberalism of a boarding school is very dependent upon the leaders in its boarding school (owner, kyai, or senior students).  If the current leaders have radical character thought, then a boarding school with its students will think the radically, whereas if its leaders are moderate, so a boarding school and its students will have moderate characteristic, even they can be liberal in a certain situation and time. In line with the globalization, the face of boarding school in Indonesia is no longer monopolized  by traditional or fundamental-radical  group, but it was already colored by boarding schools in new forms by other Islamic groups with different faces.Keywords: radicalism,  moderatism,   liberalism, boarding  school, globalization

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the efforts of Chinese Muslims in practicing Islamic education in their minority communities. By using a social pedagogical approach model in Islamic education, Chinese Muslims make social and cultural issues a starting point for religious understanding. As a minority social entity, Chinese Muslims who are members of PITI (Indonesian Chinese Muslim Association), also try to transmit their Islamic knowledge not co-opted by radical Islamic religious doctrines. By using qualitative-phenomenological research methods, this study has succeeded in finding that this minority Muslim community's social pedagogy realizes by involving three elements simultaneously: teaching, acculturation, and social action in Islamic education. Through this strategy, Chinese Muslims try to become devout Muslims without reducing their cultural reality as a Chinese. In another position, the Chinese Muslim social pedagogy approach seeks to carry out the de-radicalization movement using socio-cultural instruments through academic activities in Islamic education.
