Abstract

Media pembelajaran merupakansalah satu aspek penting dalam pembelajaran, terutama pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, untuk membantu siswa memahami materi dengan mudah.Di abad ke-21 di mana teknologi digitalberkembangpesat, integrasi teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris sangat bermanfaat.Akan tetapi, tidak semua guru bahasa Inggristertarik menggunakannya karena beberapa dari merekalebih memilih untukmenggunakan media pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan haltersebut, penelitianuntuk mengetahui preferensi guru terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran konvensional dan digital. Menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, 10 guru bahasa Inggris dari 10 SD berbeda di tiga wilayah di Bangkalan,Madura, terlibat dalam wawancara mendalam. Hasilnya adalah terdapat empat guru yang lebih suka menggunakan media pembelajaran konvensional, satu guru lebih suka media pembelajaran digital,dan lima guru lebih sukamedia pembelajaran konvensional dan digital.Akan tetapi dalam pelaksanaannya, guru-guru tersebut menghadapi beberapa tantangan, seperti memiliki fasilitas dan keterampilan terbatas, pengaturan kelas yang kacau, dan terjadi kesalahan teknis selama penggunaannya.Kata kunci:Teknologi Digital, Konvensional, Media Pembelajaran,Preferensi, Bahasa Inggris,SD

Abstract

This study aims to explain the types of affixation errors and the factors that cause these errors in mini drama scripts written by the fourth-semester students of the English Study Program at Universitas Trunojoyo Madura, specifically from the A and B classes of 2021. This study is a descriptive qualitative research and uses a document analysis method to collect the data. There are 10 mini-drama scripts used as the data sources, and the data are words or phrases containing affixation errors. The technique of analyzing the data include data condensation, data display, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The identified errors are described based on the surface taxonomy and the types of affixations. The findings show that there are 35 total of affixation errors found in 10 mini drama scripts, which include only two types of errors based on the surface taxonomy: 32 omission errors and 3 addition errors. These errors involve the inflectional suffixes, such as -s (third-person singular), -ing (present participle), -d/-ed (past tense), -ed/-n (past participle), and -s (plural marker), and also derivational suffixes -ly and -ed. A total of 28 errors are caused by intralingual transfer, while the other 7 errors are caused by interlingual transfer. In summary, students’ lack of understanding of English affixation, and the differences in its usage between English and Indonesian, influenced the production of these errors in their writing. Keywords: error analysis, affixation errors, mini-drama scripts, interlingual transfer, intralingual transfer

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara jenis pertanyaan dan level kognitif dalam pertanyaan bacaan pada buku teks. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan menggunakan metode analisis konten.. Data yang digunakan berasal dari buku teks Pathway to English Kelompok Peminatan kelas dua SMA di Indonesia, dengan unit analisisnya adalah pertanyaan yang mengikuti bacaan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode simak dan teknik catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertanyaan wh-question dominan sebanyak 140 pertanyaan (46,73%), dengan 18,78% di antaranya termasuk jenis divergent dan 46,73% jenis convergent. Level kognitif terbukti ada, meskipun didominasi oleh pertanyaan dengan kemampuan berpikir rendah, yaitu sebanyak 81,22%. Sementara itu, pertanyaan dengan kemampuan berpikir tinggi mencapai 18,78%. Jenis pertanyaan dan level kognitif memiliki keterkaitan yang erat, di mana jenis convergent merepresentasikan konsep berpikir rendah dan jenis divergent merepresentasikan sebaliknya. Kesimpulannya, buku ini telah mengimplementasikan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi meskipun proporsinya tidak ideal. Kata Kunci: buku teks, bahasa Inggris, kemampuan berpikir, kognitif, pertanyaan

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efikasi penerapan analisis wacana multimodal dengan menilai gambar visual dan linguistik dalam media promosi Ekowisata Mangrove. Dengan adanya penerapan ini merupakan upaya untuk mengembangkan Mangrove di Bangkalan Madura melalui stiker kendaraan yang menarik. Penelitian ini menggunakan tata bahasa visual Kress dan Leeuwen (2006) dan struktur generik media promosi Cheong (2004) sebagai kerangka teoritis penelitian, yang memberikan penjelasan yang baik tentang makna reproduksi, makna interaktif, dan makna komposisi wacana gambar, serta struktur generik media promosi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan deskriptif. Penelitian kualitatif berfokus pada data dalam bentuk kata daripada angka. Hasil dari studi ini menyatakan bahwa penerapan analisis wacana multimodal terhadap stiker kendaraan sangat terkonsep dengan baik. Pemilihan objek yang ingin ditampilkan secara mencolok, bahasa promosi yang menarik, dan pemilihan tata bahasa serta warna sangat disesuaikan dengan perkembangan zaman. Kata Kunci: Ekowisata Mangrove,  Analisis Wacana Multimodal, Stiker Kendaraan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the PR strategy used by HAMLET, assess its effectiveness in achieving the campaign objectives, and identify important lessons learned for future community engagement initiatives. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design to investigate the use of Public Relations (PR) strategies in the BAKDES campaign conducted by HAMLET, the Student Association of the English Education Study Program at Trunojoyo Madura University (UTM). This case study has demonstrated the crucial role of strategic public relations (PR) in maximizing the impact and sustainability of community service projects. HAMLET's successful implementation of the BAKDES campaign highlights the value of utilizing a multi-pronged PR strategy, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and crafting a compelling narrative.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui campur kode yang digunakan oleh masyarakat Jawa yang menggunakan bahasa Madura. Penelitian ini mengambil data antara suami dan istri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengambil data dari lapangan di Socah. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa campur kode mungkin terjadi karena faktor individu; seperti menunjukkan status, peran dan keahlian. Namun hal itu mungkin saja terjadi karena kurangnya unsur bahasa yang digunakan. Anak kecil di lingkungan bilingual atau multilingual menghasilkan ujaran yang menggabungkan unsur-unsur dari kedua (atau semua) bahasa mereka yang sedang berkembang. Hal inilah yang dialami oleh Ibu Listijawati Redjeki, ia hidup dalam lingkungan dwibahasa dimana lingkungannya menggunakan bahasa Madura dan bahasa Jawa dalam percakapan sehari-hari dan mempengaruhinya untuk mencampurkan kedua bahasa tersebut dalam percakapan sehari-hari terutama ketika berbicara dalam bahasa Indonesia. Kata Kunci: Campur Kode, Orang Jawa, Bahasa Madura

Abstract

The music industry flourished in the late modern era especially for some of the concerts and the crowded nightclub. The music industry has always brought joy to people around the world. But behind that, there was a battle, rivalry and competition. While artists compete to reach the top of the charts and gain popularity, record companies struggle to find and nurture new talent. Still quite hesitant, the music industry has always provided opportunities for talented and dedicated people to pursue their dreams. NDX, aka Yogyakarta Group Music, is no exception. This study explores how NDX AKA creates symbolic capital, manages the reproduction of capital, and expands the battlefield using qualitative descriptive methods with Pierre Bourdieu's practical theory approach . Data for this study were obtained from interviews and field observations. After going through a data analysis process, researcher found that NDX AKA, also known as group music, constitutes its musical habits from an accumulation of cultural capital derived from the family and social environment that created the ethos of working in the music industry. NDX Group hopes to deploy a transformational strategy by diversifying cultural capital of business and fashion products into economic.Keywords: DIY, Pierre Bourdieu, NDX AKA

Abstract

Sexual Violence is any act of degrading, insulting, harassing, or attacking a person's body, or reproductive function, due to imbalances in power relations and gender. This study aims to provide understanding and interpretation to the community related to sexual and family violence both committed on children and married couples. Research techniques using action research, research not only always looks for data, but also conducts socialization and counseling about the Sexual Violence Criminal Law both about sanctions for perpetrators and protection rights for victims. The results showed that this externalization was influenced by the strong patriarchal culture so that women were not equal to their husbands. Objectification is in the form of rationalization of actions committed to her husband related to sexual relations as a necessity and obligation carried out by the wife to the husband. Internalization is the implication of inequality between husband and wife in the household, this makes the wife rationalize a number of reasons for continuing to carry out her role as wife. Lack of public understanding of sexual violence in the form of mapping forms of sexual violence cases in the family both in children and married couples such as physical violence, verbal violence, psychological violence, economic violence and counseling in the form of direct socialization and FGD. As an effort to prevent and protect, education is carried out through social media for perpetrators and protection for victims.Keywords: Study, Meaning, Sexual Violence, Domestic

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan fenomena diglosia pada masyarakat Kamal Bangkalan. Metode kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang fenomena penggunaan diglosia dengan menggunakan perspektif sosiolinguistik. Data diambil dari area lapangan di Kamal, Bangkalan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan beberapa langkah; (1) melakukan wawancara dengan masyarakat setempat dengan memberikan beberapa pertanyaan (2) mengumpulkan data hasil wawancara dengan transkrip hasil perekam, (3) mengidentifikasi data dengan mengelompokkan kalimat dalam kategori mana kalimat tersebut, apakah dalam kategori tinggi (H) atau rendah (L). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua kelompok yang berbeda di masyarakat Kecamatan Kamal Kabupaten Bangkalan. Informan memperoleh kelompok tinggi (H) dari orang tua dan sekolahnya. Sedangkan kelompkm rendah (L) didapat dari percakapan sehari-hari dengan teman-temannya. Dari segi leksikonnya, kelompok H dan L hanya memiliki sedikit kesamaan. Serta secara fonologis kelompok H dan L memiliki banyak perbedaan.  Kata kunci: Diglosia, Kelompok Tinggi, Kelompok Rendah, dan Kamal

Abstract

Since oral language is related with the sounds that convey meaning, a child must be a remarkable subject to be observed in using it in social interaction. Then surely a child must acquire pragmatic competence. Speech act are commonly given to specific labels such as apology, complaint, compliment, invitation, promise, or request’. Request is the first focus of this research. Afterward, regarding relative distance, a child needs to know a range of ways in making request politely. Thus, other pragmatic competence like using several different politeness strategies needs to be performed by a child. In this case, this paper attempts to answer the following research question: How does a bilingual child negotiate meanings involved in interlanguage pragmatics of request in a casual conversation? The subject of this paper is a bilingual child from Mondial Education who has English as a medium of instruction being spoken three hours a day at school and the data is in the form of transcription, both of them were taken from related research journal. The transcription was then analyzed and interpreted. The findings show that the subject that use English as second language are able to use various politeness strategy but fail to gain awareness of social distance (relative distance).
