Abstract

ABSTRACT   The purpose of this study is to assess the role of conservatism on investment efficiency and firm innovation. Accounting conservatism is considered to reduce management's encouragement to invest in fixed assets that are not in accordance with opportunities. Innovation and conservatism seem to be contradictory concepts, innovation involves risk taking and invention, while conservatism embodies prudence and risk aversion. The sample used in this study were non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2019 using a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis method used is simple linear regression analysis. The empirical results of this study indicate that the accounting conservatism variable has no effect on investment efficiency. While the variable accounting conservatism has a significant effect on innovation.Keywords                   : Accounting Conservatism; Investment Efficiency; Innovation

Abstract

ABSTRACT Madura Island consists of four Districts, namely Bangkalan Districts, Sampang Districts, Pamekasan Districts, and Sumenep Districts. Bangkalan District as the entrance to enter the island of Madura makes Bangkalan District, especially the southern coastal area, a very diverse potential for halal tourism destinations by utilizing the sea view and the Suramadu bridge, which can be seen from the coast. Halal tourism comes with a concept that provides services for vacations equipped with facilities for the needs of the Muslim community in carrying out worship activities. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection methods used in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the southern coastal area of the Bangkalan Districts can apply the concept of halal tourism. Looking at some of the indicators that have been explained, which consist of Attractions, Accessibility, Amenities, and Additional Facilities that meet the criteria, but there are still some things that need to be improved with facilities and infrastructure and supported by regulations regarding Bangkalan District implementing the concept of halal tourism. Keywords                   : Bangkalan; Halal Tourism; Potential; Southern Coastal Area

Abstract

Many people create new products or services that fail to be accepted by customers. While innovation is needed to solve a complex problem faced by customers. This study aims to find out how the fashion business innovation process uses the design thinking method and the business model canvas carried out by Indonesian migrant workers in Taiwan during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses qualitative descriptive, through interviews, observations and documentation studies of the implementation of helping online entrepreneurship workshops conducted by the University of Muhammadiyah Gresik in collaboration with CLC-BJI Taiwan. From the research results, fashion business innovation starts from the empathy process to understand the problems of the PMI Taiwan Muslim target customers in terms of meeting the needs of Islamic clothing. Next, process the idea by observing existing solutions, Crazy 8 and having discussions to determine a solution called Ummul Syari by making a business prototype using the Go-Sew and Instagram applications which were tested on customers with very positive ratings. The business model that has been designed is validated to the stakeholders involved, concluding that the partners, key resources and customer elements have been validated and the business is feasible to continue. the results of the Desirability, Feaseability and Visibility tests of ummul syar'i businesses are fairly valid, all from the results of interviews with respondents.Keywords: Business Model Canvas; Design Thingking; Pekerja Migran Indonesia; Pandemi Covid-19

Abstract

One of the important indicators to determine the condition of an area in a certain period is to be able to look at the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) data both on the basis of current prices and on the basis of constant prices. Population is a human resource that is able to increase output in the economy of a region which in turn will create an increase in Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP). While education is capital for human resources that can improve abilities both formally and skills, making it easier for human resources to find work because it has a high competitiveness value and results in productivity in work which will produce output of goods and services and ultimately be able to increase the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) of Riau Province. This study aims to examine the effect of population and education level on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in Riau Province 2010-2020. This study was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and multiple regression analysis using the Eviews 10 application. The results of this study found that the population had a positive and significant effect on the GRDP of Riau Province 2010-2020. While the level of education has a negative and insignificant effect on the GRDP of Riau Province 2010-2020.

Abstract

In carrying out programs, every organization is always directed to be efficient to achieve company goals. One of the strategies is to improve employee performance. Employee performance will be carried out well if followed by the quality of human resources in which motivation and discipline factors will significantly affect the performance of employees.       This research aims to determine and analyze the effect of motivation and work discipline partially or simultaneously on teacher performance. This research uses a quantitative approach. The independent variables are motivation and work discipline, while the dependent variable is teacher performance. The data are analyzed using multiple linear regression with the F test and t-test. The results of the analysis and hypothesis testing can explain that motivation and work discipline simultaneously impact the performance of teachers at SMP Negeri 5 Surabaya, as proven by the results of statistical analysis using SPSS 26. The t-count is greater than the t-table. The research result shows that motivation and work discipline affect teachers' performance, respectively, with a value of 0.278 and 0.605, which means that the effect of the motivation and work discipline variable on teacher performance is 27, 8%, and 60.5%. By these results, the impact of work discipline on teacher performance is more significant than the effect of motivation on teacher performance. Moreover, stimulation and work field simultaneously impact teacher performance with an F-count value of 11.110 > F-table of > 1.68.Keywords: Motivation, Work Discipline, Teacher Performance.

Abstract

This study will examine the effect of Brand Awareness, Product Quality, and Word of Mouth (Wom) on Purchase Interest. The sampling technique in this study uses a simple random sampling technique because the sampling from population members is carried out randomly without regard to the existing strata in the population. The Technical data analysis used is the multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The data quality test used is a test of validity and reliability. The results of this study indicate that based on the F test, it is known that Fhitung > Ftable (11.450 > 2.72) and the value of Sig < 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), which means at a significant level of 5%, Brand Awareness (X1) variable, Quality Product (X2), and Word of Mouth (WOM) (X3) simultaneously have a significant effect on the variable of Purchase Interest (Y) of local Skincare at Sociolla Store Surabaya.Keywords: Brand Awareness; product quality; and Purchase

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of developing the entrepreneurial character of students through the kopontren business unit (cooperative boarding school), which has a function to directly and significantly determine the development of entrepreneurial character through business units as a form of facilities provided by Islamic boarding schools as a form for developing the entrepreneurial nature of students who are must be set, there are many development models that are applied in the Islamic boarding school, one of which is the Bazaar, the Bazaar itself has a very large impact on the development of the entrepreneurial character of students in the Islamic boarding school so by doing this research I hope to be able to get a significant picture related to the model of entrepreneurship character development through the Kapontren business unit at the Al-Hikam Islamic Boarding School so that the entrepreneurial character development model through this business unit can be an alternative for developing entrepreneurial character For students, this study uses a qualitative approach where data collection techniques use documentation, observation and thorough interviews with several students at the Al-Hikam Islamic Boarding School and the administrators or coordinators who hold the Kopontren business unit at the boarding school. Meanwhile, for data analysis, the descriptive qualitative analysis serves to analyze or describe the situation from various data collected in interviews or direct observations that occur in the field.Keywords: entrepreneurship; development style; Islamic boarding school

Abstract

The research departs from the importance of identification related to economic independence in Islamic boarding schools, which functions to see the involvement of Kiai and students in realizing the financial autonomy of pesantren phenomenologically because so far pesantren are only seen as Islamic da'wah institutions and educational institutions but pesantren as an institution for community empowerment. In the economic field, there are still many that have not been exposed in detail and in-depth. This study focuses on the goal, knowing the kiai's strategy in realizing the economic independence of the Nurul Amanah Santa Islamic Boarding School and the system of the santri in recognizing the financial autonomy of the pesantren. This method uses a qualitative approach where the data collection technique uses documentation, observation and thorough interviews with the Kiai and several students at the Islamic boarding school. The results of this study conclude 1). The kiai's strategy to realize the economic independence of Islamic boarding schools is to use capacity-building methods, strengthen institutions, transfer knowledge and strengthen networks. 2). The way of the santri in realizing the economic independence of the pesantren as assistant caregivers in learning the financial autonomy of the pesantren.Keywords: Strategy; Kiai; Santri; Economic Independence; Islamic Boarding School

Abstract

Human resource management as an individual manager regulates the role of the workforce of employees according to their abilities and even education in the company to produce and improve the performance of quality employees. This study aimed to determine the effect of worker status and work discipline on employee performance. There are three hypotheses tested in this study, 1. Worker Status has a negative and no significant effect on employee performance, 2. Work Discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. 3. Worker Status and Work Discipline simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This type of research uses quantitative methods and tests hypotheses according to the data obtained from the distribution of the questionnaires to all respondents. The research population is 48 employees. This study uses saturated sampling, which is taken from the entire population. The data collection results have been processed and analyzed through SPSS version 25. The study results indicate a negative effect (-0,189) and no significant effect (0 274) on employee status on employee performance. The second shows a positive (0,467) and significant (0,000) influence on work discipline on employee performance. The third shows a positive (0,267) and significant (0,000) impact on Worker Status and Work Discipline on employee performance.Keywords: Worker Status; Work Disicipline; Employee Performance

Abstract

This study aims to test empirically the effect of leverage, growth opportunity, and managerial ownership on accounting conservatism. This research was conducted in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the period 2017-2019. This research method is to use quantitative methods using secondary data in the form of corporate financial statements. The sampling method using purposive sampling method so that the sample used 100 samples. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear analysis. The results of this study indicate that leverage has no effect on accounting conservatism, growth opportunity has negative effect on accounting conservatism, and managerial ownership has positive effect on accounting conservatism.Keywords: Accounting; Accounting Conservatism;Growth Opportunity; Leverage; Managerial Ownership.
