The scopes of this research are Indonesian language and literature teaching, either as the first, second, or foreign language. The research can be conducted in elementary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools, and/or university. Abstract

One of the factors causing a change in the sound of Indonesian environmental factors. For example the word /Sabtu/ in Indonesian commonly pronounced /Saptu/. It is seen a [b] turned into a [p] as a result of the influence of the sound [t]. This paper aims to explain the change of sound in speech used students in IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. The results showed that students in IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon less careful in using pronouncing. Students still mixing the languages to official situations with language in informal situations.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain the content of anti-corruption education in the study and appreciation of poetry in Central Java and Yogyakarta. The object of this research is five universities in Central Java and Yogyakarta, ie UNS, UAD, UMP, Unsoed, and Unikal. The content of anti-corruption education obtained through interviews with the lecturer of the course poem in five universities. Data were collected and analyzed by an interactive model. The results obtained from this study are as follows. (1) The values of anti-corruption education has been internalized into the course study and appreciation of poetry; (2) The value of anti-corruption education that internalized is still general and not concretely lead to anti-corruption values; (3) The value of anti-corruption education that internalized through poems containing the noble values of character education.

Abstract

Objectives to be achieved in this study were (1) Finding the problems and needs of blind students, planning, and prototype book enriching appreciation of literature in Braille that can be developed in school inclusion. (2) Develop prototype (draft) enrichment of literary appreciation books in Braille for blind students in school inclusion. (3) Test the effectiveness of the application of the enrichment of literary appreciation books of the validator in Braille for blind students in school inclusion. The method in this study research design development. The subjects were blind students who will use the product of the enrichment books and Indonesian language and literature teacher who will conduct an assessment of the indicators of achievement of the basic competencies of students with visual impairment. Plan activities that have been carried out in this research is the development of book design enrichment phases: (1) a preliminary study; (2) the development stage; (3) the testing stage book; (4) dissemination of the results of the final product, namely enrichment of literary appreciation books in Braille. The final product in the form of books enrichment appreciation of literature in Braille can be used by blind students in inclusive classrooms.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to present analysis toward several aspects in term of cohesion and coherence in writing paragraph of Indonesian language: in order to elaborate coherent paragraph for foreign learners or BIPA students. Other objective is to find the most suitable techniques for teaching essay writing for foreign learners. This research applies a qualitative method. The outcome of the research shows that the most common mistake is the use of conjunction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar menulis cerita pendek dengan karakter cinta tanah air. Penelitian dilakukan di SMPN 1 Mantingan Ngawi. Tahapan penelitian, meliputi: pengumpulan informasi awal, perencanaan, pengembangan format produksi awal, uji coba awal, revisi produk, uji coba lapangan, revisi produk, uji lapangan, revisi produk akhir, dan desiminasi serta implementasi. Hasil pengembangan buku ajar ditunjukkan pada tahap-tahap sebagai berikut. Validasi buku ajar dinilai oleh dua validator yang menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar termasuk dalam kategori baik karena persentase ≥ 75%. Uji coba terbatas melalui angket, wawancara guru, dan observasi pengamat. Hasil uji coba lapangan diperoleh nilai siswa dalam menulis cerita pendek rata-rata 80. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku ajar menulis cerita pendek dengan karakter cinta tanah air layak digunakan sebagai buku ajar menulis cerita pendek kelas VIII. This study aims to develop textbooks to write a short story with the character of love homeland. The research was conducted at SMPN 1 Mantingan, Ngawi. Research stages include: initial information collection, planning, development of initial production formats, preliminary trials, product revisions, field trials, product revisions, field tests, final product revisions, and dissemination and implementation. The results of textbook development are shown in the following stages. The textbook validation was assessed by two validators indicating that the textbook was included in either category because the percentage was ≥ 75%. Limited trials through questionnaires, teacher interviews, and observer observations. The results of the field test obtained the value of students in writing an average short story 80. So, it can be concluded that the textbook writing short stories with the character of love the homeland worthy of use as a textbook to write a short story class VIII.

Abstract

Salah satu materi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia adalah sastra. Keberhasilan pembelajaran sastra di SMP perlu ditinjau ulang, terutama di Kota Semarang, Indonesia. Pembelajaran hendaknya memenuhi kebutuhan siswa. Anak berusia 12-15 tahun memiliki karakter dominan pada unsur intelegensi, kepraktisan, kepekaan, dan sikap memilih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberi alternatif bahan ajar pada pembelajaran sastra. Penelitian ini berdesain deskriptif eksplanatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui analisis dokumen, yakni analisis pada teks dan konsep model aplikasi model. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan, dapat dibuktikan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis teks dapat menjadi alternatif model pembelajaran sastra. Kelebihan bahan ajar ini adalah dapat mencapai tujuan belajar serta dapat menemukan konsep dan menentukan keputusan dalam bersikap secara sosial. Oleh karena itu, teks sastra realis dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber dan bahan ajar. One learning Indonesian hearts material is literary. Learning success in junior high literature should be reviewed, especially in Semarang, Indonesia. Learning should fulfill student needs. Child with 12-15 year olds have the character of a dominant element on intelligence, practicality, sensitivity, and attitude vote. This research aims to review the alternative providing learning materials with open literature. This research desaign use descriptive explanative. Data were collected through document analysis, the analysis of text and model at application concept model. Based on the analysis can be proved that the text-based learning can be an alternative become learning model literature. Excess teaching materials literature is can be achieve the learning objectives as well as can be found the concept and determine the decision hearts operating be social. So, text realist literature can be utilized as a source and teaching materials.

Abstract

Rendahnya keterampilan menulis mahasiswa IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon memerlukan penanganan yang serius. Sebagai calon guru, mahasiswa Jurusan Tadris Bahasa Indonesia (TBI) perlu memperoleh pembekalan kemampuan menulis yang baik. Pembelajaran berbasis life skills akan mengarahkan mahasiswa untuk terampil menyelesaikan permasalahan-permasalahan kehidupan yang semakin kompleks. Pemilihan Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) didasarkan atas pertimbangan bahwa lahirnya sebuah gagasan memerlukan stimulus. Untuk itu, dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan menulis esai mahasiswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran CIRC berbasis life skills. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Jurusan TBI semester 2, tahun akademik 2015/2016. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya, baik dari aspek kemampuan dalam memilih tema, merumuskan judul, mengorganisasikan gagasan, menganalisis, maupun teknik penulisan. Dengan demikian, penerapan model CIRC efektif untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran menulis esai.The low skill of writing IAIN student Syekh Nurjati Cirebon requires serious handling. As a prospective teacher, students of Tadris Bahasa Indonesia (TBI) need to obtain good writing skill. Life-based learning skills will lead students to skillfully solve complex life problems. The selection of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) is based on the consideration that the birth of an idea requires a stimulus. For that purpose, a classroom action research is conducted to know the improvement of students' essay writing skills through the application of CIRC learning model based on life skills. This research was conducted in Department of TBI semester 2, academic of 2015/2016. The results showed that students' writing ability improved in each cycle, either from the aspect of ability in choosing the theme, formulating the title, organizing ideas, analyzing, and writing techniques. Thus, the application of the CIRC model is effective to apply in essay writing.

Abstract

Apabila seseorang memiliki keterampilan berbicara yang baik, dia akan memperoleh keuntungan sosial maupun profesional.Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di sekolah, guru kurang mengajak siswa untuk lebih aktif menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis. Kondisi ini mengakibatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa menjadi rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara pada kompetensi menceritakan kembali isi cerpen dengan menerapkan Language Experience Approach (LEA). Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini dilaksanakan di MAN 2 Kota Cirebon. Teknik pengumpulan data, meliputi: angket, observasi, wawancara, dan tes keterampilan bercerita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi LEA dapat meningkatkan keterampilan bercerita. Peningkatan tersebut ditunjukkan dari kualitas pembelajaran yang tercermin pada keaktifan, perhatian dan konsentrasi, minat selama pembelajaran, serta keberanian siswa bercerita di depan kelas. If a person has good speech skills, he or she will gain both social and professional benefits. In the implementation of Indonesian language learning in schools, teachers do not invite students to be more active in listening, speaking, reading and writing. This condition results in low student speaking ability. This study aims to improve speaking skills on the competence of retelling the contents of the short story by applying the Language Experience Approach (LEA). This class action research (PTK) is conducted in MAN 2 Kota Cirebon. Data collection techniques, including: questionnaires, observations, interviews, and skills test storytelling. The results showed that the implementation of LEA strategy can improve the storytelling skills. The improvement is reflected in the quality of learning reflected in liveliness, attention and concentration, interest during learning, and the courage of students telling stories in front of the class.

Abstract

Tarian Bumi (2007) adalah salah satu novel yang memperlihatkan politik dan adat kekerasan yang jejaknya tidak bisa hilang dan dilupakan hingga saat ini. Novel ini juga bercerita tentang perjuangan perempuan Bali untuk memperoleh dan mengembalikan lagi hal yang telah hilang akibat persinggungan tokoh dengan tragedi politik’65 serta akibat dari pelanggaran adat. Tulisan ini akan mengeksplanasikan: 1) peran adat dan politik dalam melahirkan kekerasan yang bekasnya sulit dihapus dan dilupakan oleh para tokoh perempuan, dan 2) perjuangan para tokoh perempuan sebagai subaltern untuk bertahan hidup dan menyuarakan keinginannya. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif analistik ini menggunakan perspektif pascakolonial. Berdasarkan analisis pada novel Tarian Bumi, tampak adat dan tradisi masih dipegang erat oleh masyarakat Bali. Kasta atau kelas menjadi penting untuk menentukan perempuan yang berhak berbicara dan yang seharusnya diam. Sebagai seorang Ida Ayu, Pidada merasa gagal lantaran anaknya menikahi seorang sudra. Pengalaman pahit yang dialami Luh Sekar karena status politiknya sebagai bekas anak PKI, membuatnya lebih tegar dan gigih dalam mencapai cita-citanya menjadi seorang jero atau bangsawan. Telaga mencoba memahami bahwa kebahagian hidup bukanlah dari atribut kebangsawan, tetapi justru pada cinta lelaki sudra bernama Wayan. Ulang-alik kelas ibu dan anak yang ditujukan oleh Oka Rusmini lewat sosok Kenanga dan Telaga, menunjukkan bahwa pergulatan subaltern tidaklah mudah dan pertarungannya terus berlangsung selama diskriminasi dan dominasi masih terus terjadi. Tarian Bumi (2007) is one of the novels that showcases the politics and customs of violence that traces can’t be lost and forgotten until now. This novel also tells the story of the struggle of Balinese women to obtain and restore the things that have been lost due to the intersection of the figures with the political tragedy'65 as well as the result of customary violations. This paper will explore: 1) the role of adat and politics in giving birth to violence that is difficult to erase and forgotten by women leaders, and 2) the struggle of women leaders as subalterns to survive and voice their desires. This descriptive analytical qualitative research uses a postcolonial perspective. Based on the analysis on the novel Tarian Bumi, it appears that customs and traditions are still held tightly by the people of Bali. Caste or class becomes important to determine the right woman to speak and who should be silent. As an Ida Ayu, Pidada feels failed because her son married a sudra. Buh Sekar's bitter experience due to his political status as a former PKI child, made him stronger and persistent in achieving his ideals of being a jero or nobleman. Telaga tries to understand that the happiness of life is not from the attributes of the noble, but it is precisely in the love of men sudra named Wayan. The mother-and-child class rounds directed by Oka Rusmini through Kenanga and Telaga figures show that the subaltern struggle is not easy and the fight continues as long as discrimination and dominance continue.

Abstract

Kompetensi kesusastraan kini tengah dikritisi oleh berbagai pihak yang memperhatikan lemahnya pembelajaran sastra di sekolah, khususnya sekolah menengah. Untuk itu penelitian dengan sasaran atau responden guru bahasa dan sastra Indonesia sekolah menengah di wilayah Kotamadya Tangerang Selatan dilaksanakan. Tulisan dengan metode deksriptif-analisis ini mendeskripsikan kompetensi yang mencakup memahami pengetahuan sastra, keberminatan dan pengalaman sastra serta keikutsertaan dalam perkembangan sastra. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis serta dikomparasikan dengan standar kompetensi kesusastraan yang ideal. Sehubungan itu intrumen yang digunakan untuk tulisan ini yaitu angket atau kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru bahasa dan sastra Indonesia di wilayah Kotamadya Selatan berdasarkan kompetensi kesusastraan masih jauh dari kriteria guru bahasa dan sastra Indonesia ideal. Untuk itu perlunya upaya meningkatkan kompetensi guru bahasa dan sastra Indonesia khususnya berkenaan dengan kesastraan. Literary competence is now criticized by the experts who pay attention on the weakness of the literature teaching-learning at schools, especially secondary schools. Therefore, this research focusing on the Indonesian language and literature teacher in secondary schools in the Municipality of Tangerang Selatan was conducted. Ths is a descriptive analysis research which explains the competencies including understanding literary knowledge, students’ literary interest and experience, and participation in developing literary activities. The data of this researchs were analyzed and compared to the ideal literary competence standards. The instrument of this research was questionnaire. The results of this research show that based on the literary competence, the Indonesian language and literature teachers in the municipality of Tangerang Selatan do not meet required standards as an ideal teacher. Therefore, it is proposed that some efforts to improve the competency of Indonesian language and literature teachers in the literature understanding and implementing on the teaching-learning process are necessary.
