Abstract

Education in Islamic boarding schools does not only emphasize the teaching of religious knowledge, but also plays a role in developing the interests and talents of students, both academic and non-academic. Based on Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, each individual has different potentials that can be developed through the right approach, one of which is through extracurricular activities. This study aims to describe the implementation of extracurricular tilawah at Nurudluha Islamic Boarding School, including management, implementation, and program evaluation. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of the study indicate that tilawah activities are carried out systematically with the talaqqi musyafahah method and supported by adequate facilities. This activity is able to improve the ability to read the Qur'an, build self-confidence, and develop the art of tilawah. Although this activity has a positive impact on the development of students' talents, there are still obstacles in the form of limited space to appear in official forums and the absence of efforts to involve students in competitions. Therefore, further policies are needed to expand student participation and encourage more optimal coaching sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategies and effectiveness of classroom management in supporting the teaching and learning process at the elementary level. Proper classroom management is believed to create a conducive learning environment, enhance student engagement, and support their cognitive and social development. The research employs a qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques conducted in several elementary schools. The findings indicate that classroom layout, lighting, ventilation, cleanliness, and the arrangement of learning materials significantly affect students' concentration and learning comfort. Furthermore, teacher involvement in organizing and maintaining the classroom plays a crucial role in the success of classroom management. The study recommends the need for teacher training in classroom management and institutional support to create more child-friendly learning spaces.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze STEM-based science learning strategies in enhancing students' creativity and scientific literacy. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing various recent national and international journal articles related to the application of STEM in science education. The results of the study indicate that STEM integration through learning models such as project-based learning and inquiry has proven effective in developing students' critical thinking skills, creativity, and scientific literacy skills. This strategy allows students to actively engage in solving real-life problems, generating innovative ideas, and understanding science concepts in a more in-depth and applicable manner. Thus, STEM-based learning can be a strategic alternative in facing the challenges of 21st-century education and is relevant for implementation at various levels of education.

Abstract

Management is a crucial aspect of the sustainability and success of educational institutions. In the history of Islamic civilization, the management of educational institutions developed based on principles rooted in Islamic values, such as trust (amanah), justice, consultation (shura), and responsibility. This article aims to examine the principles of Islamic management as applied in educational institutions throughout the history of Islamic civilization and to analyze their relevance to the management of contemporary Islamic educational institutions, particularly Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method of classical and contemporary sources that discuss the history of Islamic education and educational management. The findings indicate that Islamic management principles were systematically implemented in classical Islamic educational institutions such as kuttab and madrasah, contributing to the development of a strong scholarly tradition and an advanced civilization. These principles remain relevant and can serve as a foundational framework for the management of modern Islamic educational institutions.
