This study aims to analyze how Wasathiyah Islam is framed in national mass media coverage and how the construction of the meaning of Islamic moderation is formed through Islamic news texts. The main focus of this study is to identify the pattern of representation of Wasathiyah Islam in mainstream media and the framing strategies used in shaping public perception of the concept of moderate Islam in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative approach with a content analysis method based on Robert N. Entman’s framing model. The research data were obtained through documentation of Islamic news from national media such as Kompas, Republika, CNN Indonesia, and Tempo within a certain period relevant to the research focus. The analysis was conducted by examining framing elements, including problem definition, causal interpretation, moral evaluation, and treatment recommendation in each news item related to Wasathiyah Islam. The results show that Wasathiyah Islam in mass media is generally framed positively as a symbol of moderate Islam associated with tolerance, peace, and nationalism. However, this framing is still influenced by political dynamics, media ideology, and the logic of the media industry. As a result, the representation of Wasathiyah Islam is not always consistent and tends to be situational.

This paper discusses the authority of the District Court in resolving land disputes in Indonesia, with reference to the perspective of Islamic law. The aim of this research is to explore the role of the District Court in handling land disputes and to compare the implementation of Indonesia's positive law procedures with the principles of Islamic law. In the context of Indonesia's positive law, land disputes are resolved through the district court, emphasizing formal and administrative procedures based on the Basic Agrarian Law (UUPA) and related regulations. In contrast, Islamic law prioritizes principles of consultation, mediation, and social justice before involving the Sharia Court if necessary. This discussion also identifies differences in proving land ownership, where positive law in Indonesia relies more on administrative documents, while Islamic law emphasizes testimony and evidence that is valid according to Sharia. The results of the study show that despite significant differences in the approach of both legal systems, both share the same goal of ensuring justice in resolving land disputes. This study recommends the need for a deeper understanding of the integration of Islamic law in resolving land disputes in pluralistic Indonesia.

Every technique that experts have revealed has its advantages and disadvantages. This is a positive thing because they complement each other. Educators must have accuracy in determining the right method for students so that mistakes do not occur. Choosing the appropriate method for students is a very important first step to achieving success in teaching-learning. Conversely, errors in selecting methods by educators can be the initial cause of failure in achieving goals. The methodology in this study was to use qualitative field research conducted at the Raudhatun Najah Islamic Boarding School. In contrast, the research findings showed that at the Raudhatun Najah Islamic boarding school, students were asked to directly speak Arabic conversations without translating into their mother tongue. Although in practice, there are still many obstacles encountered. Some problems encountered at the Raudhatun Najah Islamic boarding school are the many words that need to be clarified for students, the lack of awareness of students to speak Arabic, and the lack of motivation from some teachers to create a good Arabic language environment. Arabic learning methods at the SMP/MTs level should focus on conversational aspects and everyday vocabulary mastery. This should continue to be practiced until students feel confident without having to focus too much on grammar from the start. After students feel comfortable speaking Arabic, then they are taught about grammar. It is important to remember that grammar in teaching Arabic is not an end but a tool to improve speaking and writing skills. This aspect of writing can be taught by asking students to write their everyday stories.

Ideally, zakat should function not only as an instrument for socio-economic empowerment but also as a driver of ecological transformation in responding to the climate crisis. In reality, however, the utilization of zakat to support energy transition and climate-change adaptation remains fragmented, lacks operational models, and is not yet integrated into the national green finance framework. This study aims to formulate a Green Zakat Model that systematically connects Islamic principles, environmental sustainability, and climate mitigation–adaptation strategies. The research employs an exploratory qualitative approach through policy analysis, extensive international literature review, and in-depth interviews with zakat institutions, Islamic economics experts, and green-energy stakeholders. Data were analyzed using thematic coding to identify patterns, opportunities, and barriers to integrating zakat within the green finance ecosystem. The findings show that zakat holds strategic potential to finance community-based energy resilience, low-carbon technologies, ecological rehabilitation, and adaptation programs for vulnerable groups. The proposed model presents a governance framework, maqashid-based green project criteria, and accountability mechanisms aligned with global green finance standards. These results highlight that zakat can serve as a catalyst for an inclusive and socially–ecologically just energy transition.

Ideally, Islamic teachings provide a comprehensive ethical foundation such as the principles of tawhid, amanah, khalifah, and mizan to guide a harmonious relationship between humans and the natural environment. However, in reality, recurring ecological disasters such as the floods in Aceh–Sumatra reveal a significant gap between these theological ideals and actual environmental practices. This study aims to analyze the Aceh–Sumatra flood phenomenon through the lens of ecotheology in Islamic philosophy, examining how religious values can serve as a moral framework for understanding and responding to ecological crises. This research employs a qualitative library-based method using textual–philosophical analysis of Qur’anic ecological verses, works of classical and contemporary Muslim philosophers, and scientific literature on ecology and disaster studies. The findings indicate that ecological disasters arise not only from natural or structural factors but also from a moral crisis rooted in the disrupted human–nature relationship caused by weak internalization of Islamic ethical values. This study highlights the urgency of integrating Islamic environmental ethics into policy-making and disaster mitigation strategies to reinforce ecological balance and foster spiritual awareness within society.

The halal certification system in Nigeria currently faces serious challenges, including weak transparency, vulnerability to document falsification, and limited supply-chain oversight, whereas ideally halal certification should ensure authenticity, accountability, and public trust throughout the entire value chain. This study aims to develop a conceptual model of digital halal certification that aligns with Nigeria’s social, economic, and regulatory context. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review by examining Nigerian halal policies, institutional reports, and recent scholarly publications on blockchain and halal management; the data were then analyzed using content analysis supported by theoretical triangulation. The findings indicate that blockchain has significant potential to enhance transparency, tracking accuracy, and fraud prevention within Nigeria’s halal ecosystem, although its implementation requires regulatory readiness, technical capacity, and stakeholder collaboration. The study recommends the development of a context-appropriate blockchain architecture for halal certification, the implementation of pilot projects to assess technical effectiveness, and the formulation of policy frameworks that support long-term adoption of this technology in the national halal certification system.

Ideally, the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) serves as a tool to enhance human capacity in thinking, working, and making decisions more effectively. However, in reality, the advancement of AI brings significant ethical and ontological challenges, including the potential loss of human autonomy, algorithmic bias, and concerns that the boundary between machine intelligence and human consciousness is becoming increasingly blurred. Therefore, a guiding value framework is needed to properly position intelligent technologies within modern life. The Qur’anic perspective offers a relevant conceptual foundation for understanding human uniqueness and the limitations of all non-human creations. This study aims to examine AI through the dimensions of ethics, ontology, and human boundaries by analyzing Qur’anic verses related to intellect, creation, and moral responsibility. The research employed a qualitative library-based method, using thematic analysis of primary and secondary sources. The findings indicate that the Qur’an emphasizes the uniqueness of humans as rational and moral beings, while AI remains an instrumental creation without consciousness. Principles such as justice, public benefit (maslahah), and the preservation of human dignity serve as essential foundations for the responsible development and application of AI.

Ideally, the ecological crisis in Southeast Asia should be addressed through strong technocratic policies and scientific approaches. However, the reality shows that environmental mitigation efforts often remain ineffective due to the absence of ethical foundations and the erosion of spiritual awareness in the human–nature relationship. In this context, the Theravāda Buddhist tradition in Thailand offers an alternative approach through ecotheology, combining spirituality, ecological awareness, and social activism. This research aims to analyze the role of the Thai Sangha as a regional ecotheological model and evaluate its relevance for developing a Southeast Asian ecotheological framework. The study employs a qualitative library research method using content analysis and comparative review of academic literature, religious documents, and ecological monastic practices such as tree ordination, green monasteries, and community forest management. The findings reveal that the Thai Sangha has successfully transformed Buddhist spirituality into tangible ecological action, providing an effective response to environmental crises. Thailand’s ecotheology shows significant potential to be adopted regionally when institutionalized and implemented through cross-sectoral collaboration involving the state, local communities, and environmental NGOs. This study proposes a foundational academic framework for developing a Southeast Asian Ecotheology Model, based on local spirituality, ecological consciousness, and community participation as transformative strategies for mitigating ecological crises in the future.

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed the way humans acquire, manage, and validate knowledge, creating new challenges for the paradigm of Islamic epistemology. This study aims to analyze the concept of Islamic epistemology, examine the impact of knowledge transformation driven by Artificial Intelligence, and formulate a framework for reconstructing Islamic epistemology within the digital ecosystem. The study employs a qualitative approach using library research, analyzed through descriptive-analytical and philosophical methods based on both primary and secondary literature. The findings indicate that Artificial Intelligence has not only transformed the mechanisms of knowledge production and dissemination but has also influenced the authority of knowledge, the validity of information, and human patterns of thinking. Although AI provides greater efficiency and broader access to knowledge, its utilization still requires an epistemological foundation that integrates revelation, reason, and empirical experience as complementary sources of knowledge. This study proposes a reconstruction of Islamic epistemology that integrates the values of tawhid, ethics, and public welfare (maslahah) with the advancement of digital technology, thereby establishing an adaptive knowledge paradigm without compromising the philosophical identity of Islam. These findings are expected to enrich the discourse on Islamic philosophy while providing a conceptual framework for the responsible development and utilization of Artificial Intelligence.
