Abstract

The number of bullying cases in the school environment, studies related to prevention efforts, and the importance of empathy in preventing bullying behavior emphasize the urgency of conducting literature reviews. This is done to find out how empathy can prevent bullying and how education should be carried out so that students become anti-bullying. A review of the literature provides effective strategies that can be widely implemented to prevent bullying and support positive social development for the entire school community. Research was carried out on the selected articles through the selection stages that had been set, so that eight articles were produced for analysis. Results of the analysis show that empathy plays a crucial role in overcoming bullying behavior in the school environment by improving students' emotional understanding, encouraging pro-social behavior, reducing aggression, and increasing social responsibility. Empathy can help students better understand and feel the emotions of others, which in turn reduces the tendency to act aggressively and increases appreciation for the feelings and perspectives of others. Teachers have an important role in minimizing bullying by integrating empathy into the curriculum and using interactive methods. Structured and continuous empathy training, as well as an increase in students' emotional intelligence, are effective in preventing bullying behavior. A proactive counseling approach, the creation of a supportive school environment, and the involvement of parents and the community in anti-bullying programs strengthen student character building and create a safe and inclusive environment. The collaborative implementation of these programs can have a long-term impact on preventing bullying and building more positive social relationships.

Abstract

The social reality of interfaith relationships among teenagers and adults is often encountered in the community and frequently occurs among celebrities or public figures. The phenomenon of religious conversion from Hinduism to non-Hindu religions is not only experienced by the Hindu generation from the Balinese ethnic group but also from various ethnic groups across Indonesia. The phenomenon of religious conversion occurring among Hindu teenagers is an interesting subject to study and analyse. Therefore, this paper attempts to conceptually discuss the study of religious soul in adolescence for the Hindu generation to anticipate religious conversion by using a psychological approach. Religious conversion is generally caused by many factors such as marriage, environment, career, economy, and others. However, psychologists believe that the driving factor behind religious conversion is psychological in nature. Psychologically, the factors driving religious conversion can be grouped into two main categories: internal factors (personality and disposition) and external factors (family, environment, changes in status and roles, and poverty). The psychological state of a person who converts to another religion depends on the personality of the individual. However, in Hindu teachings, abandoning the teachings of the Vedas (religious conversion) will not lead to perfection, happiness, and the highest goal, which is moksa, in accordance with the Bhagavad Gita, XVI. 23. Efforts to anticipate religious conversion among Hindu teenagers (the Hindu generation) can be carried out in two ways. The first is through parental participation in the moral and personality education of Hinduism within the family. Parents should fulfill their duties towards their children according to the guidance of the Sarasamuccaya, 242. The second way is through non-formal education (pasraman). Abstract

Identity politics and religion pose significant challenges for many countries in Southeast Asia, potentially threatening regional stability. Despite this, there has been limited research exploring their impact on regional stability in ASEAN countries. A recent study aimed to analyze the influence of identity politics and religion in ASEAN member countries, particularly those with democratic systems such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand, from 2020 to 2024. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach, examining annual reports on freedom of religion and belief, domestic political and economic dynamics, as well as previous and current literature on political, economic, and social dynamics in the region. The analysis revealed that Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand are experiencing domestic instability, partly due to identity politics and religion. The research found that the majority ethnic or religious groups dominate identity and religious politics with support from the government and political elites, leading to regional instability within ASEAN member countries. Additionally, it was noted that national regulations need updating, particularly regarding equality and justice for minority groups and the mass media, to address the suppression of identity politics and religion in democratic systems.

Abstract

Legal protection of "Jargon" as something that can be protected is experiencing difficulties. Protection of “Jargon” as Intellectual Property is experiencing obstacles. Identifying the type of Intellectual Property is problematic because it does not have a tangible form, either Copyright or Industrial Property Rights. Therefore, it can be used by other parties even though "Jargon" is closely related to a person's characteristics and is created based on the results of someone's creative thinking. This often happens in the creative industry, which is supposed to apply creativity without injuring other people's creativity. This article analyzes and identifies "Jargon" according to Intellectual Property Law. It is supported by scientific articles related to the discussion to find efforts that can be considered in giving awards to the originators of "Jargon." Prior notification or inclusion of professional credit must be done before other parties use someone's "Jargon" as a grant of Moral Rights to the originator. Mainly if "Jargon" is used as a brand, company/agency, title of event to be broadcast, or other creative ideas.

Abstract

Flooding and regional spatial planning are two things that are closely related to each other, if regional spatial planning is carried out properly and correctly then flooding will not occur. However, a factual phenomenon that often occurs during the rainy season, the threat of flooding often overshadows residential areas, and during the dry season, many areas experience drought in agricultural areas. The aims of this writing are: 1) to obtain the results of a sustainable spatial planning analysis that can be a solution for flood management, and 2) to obtain the results of a spatial planning analysis in an area that can be audited when a flood disaster occurs. The research method used is to use a socio-juridical approach (socio-legal), this research is supported by a statutory approach (statute approach), historical approach (historical approach), and conceptual approach (conceptual approach). In general, this research is analytical prescriptive. The results of this study are as follows. First. As a form of sustainable spatial planning solutions for flood management, there are five steps that can be taken, namely: 1). conduct an audit of space or land use in accordance with the functions and designations in the RTRW, master plan, RDTRK. 2). check the legality of the land/house. 3), the government, academia, the public and experts are expected to sit together to formulate directions and strategies that can be implemented to find a win-win solution for flood management. 4). Regional governments can normalize rivers, canals, revitalize lakes, lakes, reservoirs, and save beaches and mangrove forests whose land has been converted, and 5). The local government needs to carry out social engineering for residents who live close to water conservation areas. Second. In connection with this phenomenon, there are several audit steps to handle spatial planning, namely: 1) Conducting spatial audits in the form of evaluations related to the suitability of RTRW, RDTR, and RTBL spatial utilization activities. 2) The central government conducts an audit of compliance with spatial planning within the scope of the province. 3) The central government prepares and reports audit results and publishes them to the public. 4) The regional government must control and take action against those who violate the spatial plan. 5) The regional government conducts building and environmental audits, preferably for downtown areas which are seen as conformity with the basic building coefficients, availability of green basic coefficients. 6) The local government revitalizes existing channels throughout the city, both rivers and ditches, which may cause flooding or inundation.

Abstract

Climate change has a negative impact on life and is becoming a global problem. The importance of the protection and conservation of wetlands has been agreed in the Ramsar Convention to address carbon emissions. The Indonesian government through the Ministry of Environment and Forestry will “Net Zero Emission” by 2060. This empirical normative research aims to understand the causes, effects, efforts and legal sanctions of perpetrators of illegal mining crimes in wetlands in Central Kalimantan Province. The results of the research conclude that there are still illegal mining crimes due to factors: economics, minimal employment, low legal awareness and working skills. Impact of illegal mining: environmental damage, social problems, triggering potential horizontal conflict and others. Efforts to tackle illegal mining crime are conducted preventively and repressively, but have not effectively resolved the problem. There is a need for decisive action and resolution of problems from the parties involved in the illegal mining issue in accordance with the Mineral and Coal Act. However, the state must continue to strive for the well-being of the people in accordance with the Constitution of UUD NRI of 1945.
