Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of leadership style on employee performance Education Office of Central Java province, to analyze the influence of labor discipline on employee performance Education Office of Central Java province, to analyze the influence of leadership style on job motivation of Education Office of Central Java province, to analyze the influence of labor discipline on work motivation Education Office of Central Java province, to analyze the effect of work motivation on employee performance Education Office of Central Java province.The sample was 54 employees in Central Java Provincial Education Department, with technical distributing questionnaires then tested the validity, reliability test, the classic assumption test and regression analysis to test the hypothesis.Based on the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that: (1)leadership style significantly positive effect on employee performance so the first hypothesis is accepted. That is the better style of leadership will further improve the performance of employees. (2) Discipline labor significantly positive effect on employee performance so the second hypothesis is accepted. This means that the better work discipline will further improve the performance of employees. (3) The style of leadership in a positive and significant effect on work motivation. So the better style of leadership, the higher motivation to work so that the third hypothesis is accepted. (4) The discipline of working in a positive and significant effect on work motivation. So the higher the discipline of work, the higher motivation to work so that the fourth hypothesis is accepted. (5) work motivation significantly positive effect on employee performance. So the fifth hypothesis is accepted. This means that the higher work motivation will further improve the performance of employees.

Abstract

Community life in the urban dynamic makes people choose foods that are practical. Manufacturers chicken nuggets Fiesta is one of the manufacturers of ready cooked meals of chicken nuggets. In a period of three years back chicken nuggets Fiesta compete with other similar products and led to a decline in sales. This study aimed to analyze the effect of product quality, perceived price, promotion and brand image on purchasing decisions chicken nuggets Fiesta in Semarang.The samples used in this study of 100 people who have ever made a purchase products Fiesta chicken nuggets in Semarang. Questionnaire distributed in April 2016 to May 2016. The data were then processed using multiple regression analysis.The results showed that the product quality, perceived price, promotion and brand image has a positive influence on purchase decisions. Variable most influential product quality and perception variables affect the price of the smallest. T test results showed that each of the independent variables have a significant influence on purchasing decisions. This equation model has a F value of 24.726 with a significance level of 0.000. The results of the analysis of determination coefficient of 48.9%, indicating that the variable quality of the product, the perception of price, promotion and brand image just explain the influence on purchasing decisions by 48.9%. While the remaining 51.1% is explained by other variables that are not described in this study.

Abstract

Banking industry now faced with the situation of intense competition and rapid change in business dynamics. As evidenced by a large number of banks standing in Indonesia at the moment. Some behavior that is done in companies today not only appropriate role behavior, but more expected to bring up the Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is an attitude arising among them due to its high organizational commitment. Therefore, by increasing organizational commitment affect Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among employees. This purpose of this study aims to analyze the influence of organizational commitment on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). The sample in this research are permanent employees which amounts to 44 respondents by the census method. Methods of data collection in this study was through a questionnaire that distributed to 44 employees in Bank Indonesia  representative office of Purwokerto .The analysis showed that variable organizational commitment have a positive affect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. The coefficient of determination indicates Adjusted R Square of 0,563. The results of the determination coefficient indicates that the contribution of organizational commitment in influencing Organizational Citizenship Behavior is 56,3% while the remaining 43,7% is influenced by other variables. It can be conclude that, organizational commitment  have a strong influence in affecting Organizational Citizenship Behavior.

Abstract

Purchase Decision is an act that begins with the perception of a product and aninterest in buying the product. In this modern era of increasingly fierce competition among products, this is what causes the decline in purchasing decisions due to the effectiveness of advertising and brand equity is less effective at LUX products. This decline marked by the decline in market share. This study aimed to analyze the influence of variables advertising effectiveness, brand equity and buying interest on purchasing decisions and are expected to increase the return rate LUX product purchasing decisions. Methods of data collection were performed using non-probability sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires from multiple data sources responder community in Semarang, using the data  of  192  respondents.  And  the  results  of  data  processing  using  SEM  (Structural Equation Modeling) through AMOS program.The test results from these studies show that the variable attractiveness of advertising has influence positive and significant impact on the advertising effectiveness , the variable advertising effectiveness also has the effect of positive and significant impact on brand equity. And variable advertising effectiveness and brand equity, positive effect on the variable purchase interest, followed by a variable Brand Equity and Purchase Interest also significant and has positive influence in intreasing the purchasing decision.

Abstract

Food business is one of the favorite business in Semarang, especially café. It’s proven with the rising of the growth number by 2010 to 2016 in Semarang area. One of the favorite café is Blackbone Coffee, located in Banyumanik. The tight competition in this business become one of the factor of decreasing selling in Blackbone Coffee. Therefore creative ideas are needed to hold the business on.The  goal  of  this  study  is  to  explain  the  influence  of  the  café’s  atmosphere, promotion appeal, and product’s variety to the purchase decision, where the brand image is used as the intervening variable between the café’s atmosphere, promotion appeal, and product’s variety of the purchase decision in the Blackbone café. Those factors have the biggest impact in the purchase decision by the customers. Sample were collected from 100 respondents. Respondents' answers were analyzed by Multiple Linear Regression using SPSS program.The result show that café’s atmosphere, promotion appeal, and product variety has positive and significant impact on brand image variable. 0,383 for café atmosphere, 0,161 for promotion appeal, and 0,459 for product variety. Brand image as the intervening variable has positive and significant impact on purchase decision variable with 0,443.

Abstract

The performance of the employees have an important role in achieving the success of a company, the employee acts as a planner and executor of the company's goals. Employee performance is affected by many factors such as emotional intelligence and role ambiguity. This study aimed to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence, role ambiguity on performance. The negative impact caused by the ambiguity of roles can degrade the performance of the employee. The employees who experience role ambiguity, the results of his work was not optimal. Emotional intelligence employees can improve employee performance.The study population was all nurses General Hospital Semarang as much as 269 nurses. The sampling technique using a convenience sampling technique, with a total sample of 75 nurses and using multiple regression analysis with SPSS.The results of hypothesis testing, showed that emotional intelligence variables negatively affect the role ambiguity and ambiguity variables negatively affect performance. Emotional intelligence variable positive effect on performance.

Abstract

The gradual increase of human population in Indonesia caused the increasing of the primary need of clothing, resulted in the development of fashion businesses in Indonesia, especially in the DKI Jakarta as the Capital Region of Indonesia. Nesty Collection is a private label brand fashion firm that competes with the other private label fashion firms in Tanah Abang Trading Center to earn large profits from fashion marketing. This study aimed  to analyze the factors that might affect the purchasing decision of Nesty Collection’s fashion products. This study used five variables, which are product design, product quality, competitive price, brand image, and purchase decision. This research hypothesis testing using the data of 102 respondents. The analysis technique used in this research is to use a software program Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 22. Results showed that the purchasing decision of Nesty Collection’s fashion products was affected by brand image and competitive price. Brand image of Nesty Collection was affected by product design and product quality.

Abstract

Recruitmen process and placement of personnel in the Directorate of Central Java Police Drug Investigation Division, has not describe personnel needs, in determining which members of the Directorate of Central Java Police Narcotics Investigation Unit received only members provided by the bureau of human resources. Another phenomenon that occurs in Directorate of Central Java Police Drug Investigation Division are declining morale member in carrying out duties, which have an impact on performance. This study aims to identify and determine the role of leaders in improving the performance of organizations in the Directorate of Central Java Police Drug Investigation Division. Research questions were examined in this study were (1) How does the role of the leader in empowering existing members and placing members in accordance with their competence to fill the right positions? (2) How does a leader in efforts to motivate and inspire its members to improve performance? (3) What is the role of leadership in seeking alternative solutions to the barriers that exist in the performance of the Directorate of Central Java Police Narcotics Investigation?The research  uses qualitative research methods where data collection is done through depth interviews, observations, and documentation that are better able to explore the role of the leader in Drug Investigation Directorate. Validity of the data used is to implement member checking. This study took place at the Directorate of Central Java Police Narcotics Investigation and retrieve objects members and leaders who served in the Directorate of Central Java Police Drug Investigation Division.In this study revealed that the role of leaders in Drug Investigation Directorate in the Central Java Police empower existing members to the fullest. Leaders put members of the right to occupy a position tailored to vocational education has been followed. Drug Investigation Division in the Directorate itself, the Leader has the authority to determine who attend training or vocational education held by the bureau of human resources. In addition, the leaders also held Rakernis which aims to provide training to members on the subject of drug offenses and how to resolve the problem, and to motivate members to get the better performance provided. Leadership role to foster or strengthen motivation to members by giving awards if the performance of a given good and proud member of the institution. The award is given to members in the form of a promotion, or a chance to go to school anymore. Besides other forms of motivation in the form of attention and a real example to the members that can be used as an example in everyday life. In addition, members are given discretion in carrying out the task, as the leader of the task entrusted to members and assume that the member is able to do the job well. While in the process of decision-making and problem-solving, leadership involves its members in accordance with the issues involved, the level of confidentiality, duty and authority so that not all of them are involved in any decision making. Besides always received an opinion leader for the betterment and improvement of the performance of the Directorate of Central Java Police Drug Investigation Division.

Abstract

The development of Indonesia's economy can not be separated from the existing industries in the areas scattered throughout Indonesia. Yogyakarta as one of districts has a potential and growing industrial sectors supported by the tourism sector located in the area. One of them is the bakpia industry in Ngampilan. Like other industries, the exhaust industry in Purbalingga also has problems such as capital difficulties, difficulties in product distribution, supply of raw materials for production and competition of similar products. These problems include into supply chain management. The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of long-term relationship, information sharing, trust, and cooperation on supply chain management performance.The population of this study is the company in the bakpia  industry in Yogyakarta which amounted to 165. This research will use a sample of 100 respondents through questionnaires, where the data obtained will be analyzed include validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, t test, and coefficient of determination testThe test results show that the indicators in this study are valid and reliable. The most influential variables are trust, then cooperation, then information sharing, and long-term relationship. These results show that all independent variables have a positive and significant influence on the dependent variable supply chain management performance.

Abstract

Profit growth is the ratio that showed how ability of company increased net profit over the previous year. The higher the ratio of profit growth, more better the company financial performance. This research wants to examine the effects of Current ratio, Debt to Asset ratio, total asset turnover,and net profit margin to profit growth of food and beverages company.The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. There are 15 companies that used during the research. Analytical technique used in this research is multiple regression analysis by using SPSS 20. Data sample has tested using with  the classical assumption test such as normality test, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroskedasticity test. And the hypothesis test is done by using the F test, T test, and R².The result of this research shows that current ratio, debt to asset ratio, total asset turnover, and net profit margin simultaneously have a significant influence  to the profit growth of food and beverages company with a significance level of 0,000. From the research also known that partially Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR), Total Asset Turnover (TAT), and Net profit margin (NPM), have an influence a positive significant to profit growth of food and beverages company, while Current Ratio(CR) does not have positive significant influence to profit growth of food and beverages company.The value of adjusted R square is 29.3%. This means that 29.3% of profit growth can be explained by independent variable (Current ratio, debt to asset ratio, total asset turnover and net profit margin). While the remaining (70,7%) is explained by other variables or other causes.
