Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between stock returns, trading volume and macroeconomic variables such as inflation, exchange rates and interest rates. The endogenous variables in this study are stock returns and trading volume while the exogenous variables are inflation, exchange rates and interest rates. The sample used in this research is secondary data of JCI closing price, trading volume, inflation, exchange rates, and interest rates on the period from 2006 to 2015. Using Eviews 8, methods of analysis used in this study include stationary test, lag order selection criteria, multivariate cointegration tests: Johansen Cointegration Test, VECM estimation, t-statistical tests, F-statistical test, coefficient of determination (R²), impulse response analysis, variance decomposition analysis and granger causality test. The results of this research shows that stock returns have positive effect on trading volume. Trading volume has positive effect on stock returns. Inflation has negative effect on stock returns, but has no effect on trading volume. Exchange rate has no effect both on stock returns and trading volume. Interest rate has no effect both on stock returns and trading volume. Granger causality test shows that there is bi-directional causal relationship between stock returns and trading volume.

Abstract

Bank is one of the financial institution which have activities to raise funds from public in the form of savings and distribute them to the public in from of credit or other form. The purpose of the banking business is gain profit. Ability of the banks in gain profit is measured by return on assets (ROA). The purpose of this research is to examine influence of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and BOPO through Return On Asset (ROA) of public banking listed at Indonesian Stok Exchange during 2007-2010. Research using purposive sampling method for taking samples. Data obtained on the basis of publication Annual Bank, obtained 20 samples of General Bank. Samples used in this research are public banking listed at Indonesian Stock Exchange on period 2007-2010. Analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this research found that Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) hasn’t significant positive effect to Return On Asset (ROA), Non Performing Loan (NPL) hasn’t significant negative effect to Return Asset (ROA), Net Interest Margin (NIM) has significant positive effect to Return On Asset (ROA), and BOPO has significant negative effect to Return On Asset (ROA).

Abstract

This study aims to explain the influence of service system quality, service environment, and contact personnel in order to influence purchasing decision, which utilitarian value and corporate image are used as intervening variables between service system quality, service environment, and contact personnel to BRT Trans Semarang customer’s purchasing decision.Sampling of this research was done by using a non-probability sampling with purposive sampling method, in which respondents is BRT Trans Semarang. The answers of 175 respondents were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 22 with  Multiple Regressional Analysis as analytical tool. The first regression to analyze the effect of service system quality on utilitarian value. The second regression to analyze the effect of service environment and contact personnel on corporate image. While, the third regression to analyze the effect of utilitarian value and corporate image on purchase decision. The result shows that service system quality has positive and significant impact on utilitarian value. Service environment and contact personnel have positive and significant impact on corporate image. Abstract

Nowadays, the competition on sport shoes is getting more competitive. Each company design sport shoes with the best quality. The purpose of this research is to explain the effect of brand image, product design, and product quality influencing on purchasing decision of Nike’s sport shoes and also explain which variable has the biggest influence on the purchasing decision of Nike’s consumer.This research takes 100 respondents using Accidental Sampling technique as sample. The analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. There are three stages before conducting multiple linear regression analysis, validity and reliability testing and classical assumption testing. After all stages of multiple linear regression is done, the writer conducted goodness of fit test: individual parameter significance test (t test), simultant significance test (f test), and determination coefficient test (R2 test).The result of Regression analysis showed that the variable of brand image, product design, and product quality had positive influences to the purchasing decision with an equation Y = 0,276  X1 + 0,238 X2  + 0,405 X3. The most influential variable was product quality in the amount of 0,405, followed by brand image in the amount of 0,276, and the least influential variable was product design in the amount of 0,238. T test result showed that brand image, product design, and product quality individually had a significant influence on purchase decision. This equation model had F value of 29,546 with a significant level of 0.0000. The analysis used determination coefficient or R2 test showed that 46.4% purchasing decision could be summarized by brand image, product design, and product quality and 53.6% purchasing decision could be summarized by other variables which had been explained by another factor.

Abstract

Good performance of employee in organization is important thing in running an organization. The better performance of employee could make a greater opportunity to achieve organization goal. To improve the performance of employee, organization should arrange some strategies which is effective and efficient in order to achieve the better result. This study aims to analyze the effect of salary, allowance, and job promotion to employee performance in Badan Kepegawaian Daerah, Center of Java Province, this study involve 103 respondents as the sample.  The selection of sample was conducted through sensus method. The variable used in this study were salary, allowance, job promotion, and employee performance. Statistic analysis method was conducted by multiple regresive linear technique with SPSS version 23.The result of this study shows that there is signficant effect of salary, allowance, and job promotion to employee performance simultaneously. Whereas partially salary, allowance, and job promotion have positive and significant effectt to employee performance. Employee performance is affected 42.6% by those three variables.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the differences and the factors that affect the Level of Reliance The Audit Board of Republic Indonesia’s (BPK) Auditors at the Ministry / Agencies (K/L) and Local Government, on Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP). The increasing role of APIP in good goverment governance, as well as resource constraints of BPK , is a contributing factor increasing the efficiency of the BPK audit with increasing levels of reliance on APIP. The sampling method was convenient sampling. Samples were selected based on easiness of control questionnaires. This study uses primary data with respondent, BPK’s auditor has done performance audit on APIP in 2013, with a sample of 74 respondents. The statistical tool used is the Mann Whitney U test, Manova, and Multiple Discriminant Analisys. The results showed that there was no difference in the level of reliance and perceptions of quality inspection between APIP K / L and local government. The most influential factors on level of reliance BPK auditors on APIP is independence and objectivity, inherent risk of auditee, and competence.

Abstract

This study aims to examine islamic bank’s insolvency risk in Indonesia. Insolvency risk is measured by Zscore method. Factors are used in this study which influence islamic bank’s insolvency risk are fee based income, cost inefficiency, loan asset ratio and size.            The population are islamic banks in Indonesia. This study use purposive sampling technique and select 5 (five) islamic bank for the sample. Characteristic of the sample are islamic banks in Indonesia which have periodic accounting data published by Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) in 2008-2014. The analisys method is multiple linier regression analysis.             The result show that fee based income, cost inefficiency and loan asset ratio have significant and positive influence on islamic bank’s insolvency risk, but size has no significant influence on islamic bank’s insolvency risk. Judging by the value of adjusted R square was 31,3% which means the independent variabel is able to explain 31,3% variation of dependent variabel.

Abstract

Corporate banking is an intermediation institution that connects between the surplus and deficit. The function of bank as the intermediary leads bank vulnerable to risk. An increased number of banks that are not in a good position, it is seen from the increasing number of banks with ROA, BOPO, NPL, LDR which is below average. Also there is an inconsistency in the previous studies. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the risk of bank in Indonesia. Based on the bank’s data that is contained in the Financial Services Authority 2012-2014.The population in this study was a conventional commercial bank in Indonesia in 2012-2014. The sampling used purposive sampling with criteria which is listed bank in Financial Services Authority, as well as having an annual report in 2012-2014, and the calculation SDROA to three years back. There are 178 data observations in this study using multiple linear regressions. The variables of this research are the LDR, NPL, ROA, SIZE, and CAR.The results showed that the NPL and ROA have negative effect on the bank's risk. The higher the value of bad loans, the closer the bank to its risks. Higher value of inefficiency, closer the bank to the risk of banking. SIZE showed positive effect on bank's risk. Higher bank’s assets make it closer to the risk. In addition it was found that LDR and CAR did not have significant effect to risk of banking.

Abstract

E-toll card is a new innovative product of electronic money.This study was conducted to investigate the itention of toll users to buy e-toll card. how much consumers to buy the product e-toll card. This study aimed to analyze the effect of promoting attractiveness, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and price on buying intention of e-toll card in the city of Semarang as the dependent variable. In this study, observer take 150 respondents that were taken by using a purposive sampling technique. Analysis using SPSS 16.0, including, reliability test, validity test, classic assumptions test, multiple regression analysis, hypothesis testing via the F and T test, and analysis of the coefficient of determination (R²). Percieve Usefulness showed the greatest regression coefficient. Percieve Usefulness is the most important factor influencing the Buying Interest of consumers who buy e-toll card product. The second important factor is the Percieve of Ease of Use than Price and The Attractiveness Effect of Promotion as the third and  factors that influence the Consumers Buying Interest. The coefficient of determination (adjusted R2) of 0,816 or 81,6 percent of the coefficient of determination means the model is good enough. The fourth independent variable in this study could explain 81,6 percent of the purchase decision variables. While the rest of 18.4 percent is explained by variables other than the four variables used in this study.

Abstract

Basically nursing is recognized as one of the jobs that are full of pressure, so in this case work stress becomes one of the important issues that need to be considered among nurses. Stress on the nurses is caused by several factors derived from the role stressor. This study aims to analyze the effect of some kind of role stressors on turnover intention through job satisfaction among nurses. It was conducted on 146 nurses at the hospital at the Panti Wilasa Citarum  Semarang hospital. Analysis of structural equation model (SEM) was used to identify and explain the result from the relationship between each role stressors variable towards job satisfaction and turnover intention variable. All variables in this study were measured using 29 indicators.The result of this study indicate that role stressors variable  such as role ambiguity, role conflict, role overload, and work-family conflict are found to have a direct negative effect on nurse job satisfaction. But relationship between role ambiguity and role conflict variable are both statistically found to have an insignificant negative effect on job satisfaction variable. Job satisfaction was found to have a significant negative effect on turnover intention variable.
