Abstract

Foreign exchange risk is one of the biggest risks facing the company in its activities in international trade. Changes in foreign currency exchange rates may result in losses to the company. Therefore, companies must anticipate doing risk management one of which is through hedging policy. This study aimed to analyze the effect of liquidity, managerial ownership, dividend policy, leverage, cash flow volatility, growth opportunity and control variables company size on the derivative instruments hedging policy on non-financial companies listed on the Stock Exchange 2012-2014.This study using purposive sampling method in order to obtain a total of 27 sample companies. This study used logistic regression analysis to determine the variables that affect the use of derivative instruments as hedging policy tool. Tests using logistic regression analysis only Overall Model Fit Test, Cox and Snell's R Square and Nagelkerke's R Square, Hosmer and Lemeshow Goodness of Fit Test, Classification Table and logistic regression analysis, so it does not require normality test.The results showed empirical evidence there are two variables that significantly influence the policy of hedging derivative instruments. Variable liquidity and volatility of cash flow positive and significant effect and in accordance with the predicted against the policy of hedging with derivatives insturmen. As for the other independent variables that significantly affect dividend policy does not however have the effect as predicted direction. In variable managerial ownership, leverage and growth opportunity not show direction as predicted. Control variables firm size did not show significant results on the dependent variable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was examine the effect of the failure of the company’sIPO. Failure IPO seen from the decline in the stock price by 50% over  5 years (60 months). The depedent variabel in this study is the failure of the company’s IPO that was measure by the time between IPO to failure. The independent variabel in this study is the firm age, firm size, initial return, business risk and the percentage of stock offerings.The study uses data from the annual report companies with listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2006-2009. Total of samples in this study is 59 companies. This study uses survival analysis method and cox regression analysis as the tool of survival analysis.The results of this study showed that firm age affect on IPO failure of a company, althought not significantly. Firm size and initial return affect of IPO failure of a company and significantly. Business risks affect the IPO failure of a company, althought not significantly. Percentage share offer does not affect the failure, althought not significantly.

Abstract

Global competition force big companies or small to more aware of employee performance.Performance derived from a job performance having meaning work performance or work performance indeed reached someone.Companies are required to more attention to the quality of human resources owned by giving the things needed to optimize performance employees.A good performance is a conducted in optimal with conformity upon default organizations and support the purpose company.The success of an organization influenced by the performance of ( job performance ) human resources, for that each company will try to improve the performance employees in achieving its objectives organization on whom it is setThis research aims to analyze the effect of variables of compensation,organizational commitment and transformational leadership style on employee performance. This research was conducted at PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) Gresik – East Java. The sample used in this research were employees of PT Barata Indonesia (Persero) Gresik – East Java 78 people in total. The sampling technique was conducted using Purposive Sampling.This research shows that compensation,organizational commitment and transformational leadership style on employee performance influence positively and significantly to the employee performance.Value of determination coefficient (R2) is 0,760 or 76%. This means variable compensation , the organization and style transformational leadership explain the employee performance amounted to 76 %.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Service Quality, Brand Image, Price and Product Trust on purchasing decisions on  Berrybenka.com e-commerce platform. These days, E-Commerce has became common thing in community, technological developments and facilities advances make this platform has growing demand in all market segments. From the start of its ease to the speed of E-commerce services into the spotlight of consumers. Quality of Service, Brand Image, Price and Products Trust are widely used as reference consumers in determines purchasing decisions, especially in the city of Semarang that is high sensitivity to a product. So in this study, want to discover how or what matters affect the Purchase Decision from consumers in the world of E-Commerce. In this study data were collected from 140 selected respondents who had made purchases on Berrybenka.com E-commerce platform. Analysis method with  AMOS program.  The results show that  Quality of Service,  Brand Image, Price has a positive and significant effect on Product Trust. Then, Product Confidence has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decision.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increased use of motorcycle sport 150 cc Yamaha in big cities in Indonesia, one of which is the use in the city of Semarang. Competition is extremely tight in the automotive industry especially two-wheeled vehicles require companies to continue to innovate in order to meet the tastes and needs of consumers who are continually changing. Competition is very competitive in the automotive industry motorcycle in Indonesia, one of the challenges to be faced by the automotive manufacturers motorcycle. Despite doing a variety of innovations to its products, not easy for automotive motorcycle manufacturers to make decisions appropriate marketing strategies to attract customers ,on the other hand the consumer today already begun critical of the goods / services to be selected by looking at several factors into consideration including product, price, promotion and distribution.This analysis includes validity and reliability, classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, hypothesis testing by T- test and F, and analysis of determination coefficien (R2). From the analysis above, we get a regression equation :Y = 0,303 X1 + 0,269 X2 + 0,383 X3 + 0,194 X4Based on the equation of multiple regression analysis the promotion variables have the most impact on purchasing decisions for 0.383, followed by products variable amounting to 0.303 and 0.269 for the price variable. While the distribution variables have an influence lowest compared to other variables for 0.194. Hypothesis testing using t tests showing that the four independent variables are product (X1), price (X2), promotion (X3) and distribution (X4) which investigated proved positively and significantly affect the dependent variable is the purchase decision. Then through the F test can be seen that the variables product, price, promotion and distribution eligible to test the dependent purchasing decisions. Adjusted R Square explained figures that 84.6% of purchase decisions variation can be explained by the four independent variables in multiple regression equations. While the rest of 15.4% is explained by other vaariabel beyond the four variables used in this study.

Abstract

Industry in Indonesia been growing well from year to year, including growth in the food and beverage industry. More businessman interested and join the food and beverage industry nowadays.  Many ways businessman  do to win the competition  in the industry or also known as competitive advantage. This research’s objectives are to test the influence of entrepreneurial orientation, product innovation, and partnership support against the competitive advantage of food and beverage industry in Semarang city.Taking a sample of 150 respondents  from businessman  in food and beverage industry in Semarang city using simple random sampling technique selecting respondents. The method of data analysis used is multiple regression analysis, where the analysis consist of validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, t test, and F test.The result of multiple regression analysis shows that product innovation variable (0.363)and partnership   support  (0.152)  variable  have  positive  and  significant   influence  to  competitive advantage,  while entrepreneurial  orientation  (0.087)has  positive but not significant  influence  to competitive advantage.

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMES) have a great role in national economic growth.To maintain the continuity of the activities of SMES in the middle of an existing business competition needed a proper marketing strategy management to achieve company goals. Factors that may affect the marketing strategy stems from internal factors and external factors. The object of this research is the company's Snack business form that is Snack barokah that have yet to implement a proper marketing strategy management to expand its business. This study aims to identify the factors that may affect and become elements of the marketing strategy as well as develop and recommend an appropriate marketing strategy to be applied            This research use analyses QSPM (Quantitave Planing Strategy Matrix) to devise strategies that will be taken. The sample of this research taken from Parties within the company. Determination of samples as respondents using purposive sampling with a respondent's consideration that is has the ability and authority in formulating marketing strategies company.            This research resulted in SME strategic alternatives and the priority order of Snack Barokah  as follows: increase product quality by using a packaging machine, producing their own snacks, increasing quality of products to face competition, seeking additional capital to take advantage of a Government loan program, maintain price levels and improve the quality of flavour, vigorous business  products  promotion  by utilizing electronic media facilities, increase promotion directly approach the way to expand the market whole salers consumer voice, delivers, and maintains good relations with suppliers

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the physical environtment and non-physical environment on employee performane with moivation as the mediating variable.The population used in this study were 147 non-medical employees who are supporting departement of RSUD dr.Ashari Pemalang who had become permanent employees. The number of samples used in this study were 70 respondents taken by purposive method. The method of data collection is done through a questionnaire. This research uses path analysis using the SPSS 21 analysis tool.The result of this study show that the physical environment has a positive and significant effect on work motivation, a non-physical environment has a positive and significant on work motivation, the physical environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and a non-physical environment has a positive and significant on employee performance. The results of this study also indicate that there is a mediating effect of work motivation variables between the influence of the physical environment and non-pysical environment on employee performance.

Abstract

Nowadays.  Tourism,  one  of  the Indonesia  commodities  has  been giving  huge    role  in raising  the Indonesia  GDP.  The number of the tourism  in Indonesia  is increasing significantly. Whereas, the number of the local visitors who came to Lake Toba (one of the biggestlourism place in Indonesia)  increasing  slowly.  The aim  of  this  research  is to  examine  the factors   that  may influence tourist to visit Lake Toba. The study surveyed  185 visitors who came to Lake  Toba. The survey period  was from  third week of July  2015 to fourth  week of July 2015.  The data analyses were conducted by confirmatory factor  analysis and structural  equation modeling.  The results of the statistical analysis reflected  that most of the visitors of Lake   Toba are highly  concern about Brand Image four  times more than Brand Awareness.  This study demonstrates  that brand image and   brand  awareness positively  affects perceived  quality.  moreover, perceived  quality    is the factors  that influence the tourist to visit Lake  Toba.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the influence of the perceived presence of fun at work toward organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) with job satisfaction and work engagement as intervening variable. This study using samples from employers of PT Djarum in Kudus. Samples taken by are 125 respondents using Non-Probability Sampling technique where not all members of tthe population in the same position have the opportunity to be selected into the sample.  The analyzed data comes from distributed questionnaires to employees, then its analzed using confirmatory  factor  analysis  and  regression  weight  with  AMOS  22.The  result  of  Structural Equation Model analysis indicated that fun at work have direct and indirect impact on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Implication and suggestion for further research also discussed.
