Abstract

Employee performance is one of the most important factor in assessing the progress of a company. Performance is influence by several factors, one of them is employee engagement. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of employee engagement  and power distance as the moderator variable to employee performance.             This research was done in Patra Jasa Convention Hotel Semarang. The samples number determined in this research are 89 respondents and used purposive sampling method. As independent variable is employee engagement, moderating variable is power distance and dependent variable is employee performance. This research using simple regression and moderated regression analysis to verify and to prove the research hypotesis.            The results of analysis showed that employee engagement has a positive significant influence to employee performance and power distance may moderate relationship between employee engagement to employee performance.

Abstract

Income smoothing is defined as an intentional act done to reduce the fluktuation of profit managers to use certain accounting methods. The reason that income smoothing performed by the managemen tare: reduce tax debt, increase investor confidence, can strengthen the relationship between managers and employees The study was conducted using purposive sampling for sampling is used and there are 53 companies that were visited during the study. Analytical techniques used in this study is multiple regression analysis using SPSS where previous data was tested using the classical assumption test. The results show net profit margin (NPM) and size significantly positively related to income smoothing while the return on assets (ROA) and debt to equity ratio (DER) are not significant to earnings smoothing.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of Locus of Control (LOC) and Emotional Intelligence (EI) to Employee Performance (JP) use Job Stress (JS) as intervening variable’s. The issues from this research are absence and late that impact to employee performance.  This Research investigate two models  use SPSS 23th version. First, influence of  LOC and EI to JS. Second, influence of LOC, EI and  JS to JP.Sample is a random of 105 person of PT Telkom Divre IV Jateng and DIY worker’s. Technique of sample collection used Accidental Sampling and use the analysis of Linear Analysis, Path Analysis and Sobel TestResearch result showed LOC and EI has a negative and significant correlation to JS. LOC and EI has a positive and significant correlation to JP. JS has a negative and significant correlation to JP.

Abstract

Currently business competition furniture (furniture) lately relatively tight, so that each manufacturer must be able to provide the best quality products, so that consumers are satisfied, so that consumers willing to recommend to others to buy the production company. Purchasing decisions is the selection of two or more alternative choice of consumers in the purchase. If consumers have a choice between making a purchase and do not make a purchase or option to use the time, the consumer is in a position to take a decision. Based on the data, the average selling furniture CV. FURNITURE munawir Jepara decreased by 16,57 %. The decline was caused by various factors, such as product quality, design and features. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of product quality, design and features of the furniture purchase decisions. The population in this study is that consumers who buy furniture on the CV. Munawir FURNITURE, Jl. Raya Seokarno Hatta, Km 0,5, Tahunan, Jepara. The sample in this study was 100 consumers. The sampling technique in this study was done by using purposive sampling. Is the primary data type. Methods of data collection using the questionnaire. The analysis technique used is multiple regression. Results of analysis using SPSS showed that : Product quality proved positive and significant impact on purchase decision. Features proved positive and significant impact on purchase decision. Design proved positive and significant impact on purchase decision

Abstract

Employees are the most important part of the company. Therefore, the company should be able to treat employees properly. However, with the phenomenon of the high turnover in PT Primayudha Mandirijaya indicate that efforts are being made to ensure that the employees remain in the company is still less than the maximum. This study used three independent variabels are the reward system, employee motivation, and organizational commitment with one dependent variabel is employee retention. This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of reward systems, employee motivation, and organizational commitment to employee retention in PT Primayudha Mandirijaya.            Data collection methods used in this study was a questionnaire by using random sampling method. The sample used in this study were jobholder of PT Primayudha Mandirijaya with the number of 83 respondents. This study uses data analysis includes reliability test, validity test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient determination. F test and t test.            The result of this study indicate that variable reward system, employee motivation, and organizational commitment positively influence on the employee retention of PT Primayudha Mandirijaya. These variabels give a contribution of 52.8% of employee retention. The remaining 47.2% is influenced by variables outside of this study.

Abstract

The aim of this research to analyze the relationship between crude oil price, earning per share, price to book value, return on assets and debt to equity ratio toward stock price. Case study on Coal Mining Company listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in period 2012-2016. Research population used are Coal Mining Company that listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in period 2012-2016. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling and 14 coal company selected as sample of this research. Analysis used is Multiple Regression Analysis with significance level of 5% that includes classic assumption test, F statistic test, t statistic test and coefficient of determination test (R2). Results from the study showed that earning per share, price to book value and return on assets variables has positive and significant impact to stock price. Then crude oil price ratio and debt to equity ratio has negative and not significant effect to stock price. The result of coefficient of determination test showed the ability of model prediction is 64,7%, while the rest of 35,3% explained by variables outside of this study.

Abstract

This study is performed to examine the effect of Investment Opportunity Set (IOS), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Growth, Earning per Share (EPS), Total Asset Turnover (TAT) toward Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) in manufacture companies that is listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange over period 2011-2013.The population of this research is 148 manufacture companies that listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange period 2011-2013. Sampling technique used here is method of purposive sampling. The data is obtained based on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2011-2013 publication. It is gained sample amount of 30 manufacture companies from 148 manufacture companies those are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The analysis technique used here is multiple regression with the last square difference and hypothesis test using f-statistic to examine the mean of mutual effect with level of significance 5% and t-statistic to examine partial regression coefficient. In addition, classical assumption is also performed including normality test, multicolinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and autocorrelation.Regression equation is DPR= 0,006 + 0,005 IOS – 0,073 DER – 0,034 GROWTH + 0,033 Ln,EPS 0,192 TATO + e. According to analysis indicates that IOS, EPS and TATO has a significant positive influence on Dividend Payout Ratio. DER and Growth has negative influence on Dividend Payout Ratio. Predictable of the five independent variables toward Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) is 26,8% as indicated by adjust R square that is 26,8% while the rest 73,2% is affected from other factors outside of this study model.

Abstract

The food industry lately become a reference glimpsed by employers because its potential is quite large. Food entrepreneurs are always competing to build the public perception. Many companies implement specific strategies to influence consumer purchasing decisions. These activities aim to influence consumer purchase decisions so as to achieve the maximum profit in the sale.The population in this study were all employees of Special Warung Bebek Goreng mainstay Semarang. In this study, the study population refers to consumers who never make purchases at the point Deals Fried Duck mainstay Semarang unknown number. In consideration of the population is too much, this research is based on sampling.The result of this study showed that perception of price variable has positive and significant effect on employee purchasing decisions and promotion variable has positive and significant effect on employee purchasing decisions. Good price and good promotion will be able to improve purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The research was motivated by a bank customer complaints Pandanaran Semarang Branch of BRI which indicates a decline in customer satisfaction as well as increase i the number of customer who closed acounts during the three yaers 2009-2011. By looking at existing problems, this study aimed to analyze the influence of customer value and quality of service to the customer satisfaction to creat customer loyalty Pandanaran BRI branch Semarang. This study sample of 100 people Pandanaran Semarang Branch of BRI customers. Question is given by using questionnaire consisting of closed and open questions. Respondent’s answers wetre then analyzed with a two stage regression using SPSS for Windows. Based on the analysis conducted, it was concluded that the variable value and quality customer service and a sidnificant inpact on customer loyalty. The result of  this study is expected to be used as information for the BRI branch Pandanaran Semarang and further research. Abstract

          This research aims to analyze the influence of  Good Corporate Governance to the performance of manufacturing companies. The variables tested in this research are board of director (DEDIR), board of commisioner (DEKOM), independent commissioner (KOMIND), concentrated ownership (CONSOWN), institutional ownership (INSTOWN), and managerial managerial (MANOWN) to ROA. In addition, in this study also use control variables size and leverage. Research objects for this study are manufacturing companies in Indonesia listed on BEI (Bursa Efek Indonesia).          This research was conducted by purposive sampling method at manufacturing companies in Indonesia which listed on BEI from 2012 until 2016. The number of samples obtained by 34 manufacturing companies. Secondary data used in this study is from annual financial report data downloaded through IDX official website and official website of each company. The method of analysis used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis with 5% significance level and previously performed classical assumption test that include normality test, multicolinearity test, autocorrelation test, and heteroscedasticity test.            The results of this research indicate that board of directors (DEDIR), board of commissioners (DEKOM), independent commissioners (KOMIND), concentrated ownership (CONSOWN), and managerial ownership (MANOWN) have no significant effect on ROA. While institutional ownership (INSTOWN) shows a significant negative effect on ROA. The control variable size does not show any significant effect on ROA. While leverage has a significant negative effect on ROA. Based on the result of determination coefficient board of directors (DEDIR), board of commissioner (DEKOM), independent commissioner (KOMIND), concentrated ownership (CONSOWN), institutional ownership (INSTOWN), managerial ownership (MANOWN), size and leverage have influence of 12.6% against ROA. While the remaining of 87.4% influenced by other variables that are not used in this study.
