Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of different types of ownership, liquidity risk and credit risk on bank financial  performance.  State ownership  and foreign ownersip  were used as the ownership indicators. Liquid Asset to Total Asset (LATA), Non Performing Loan (NPL) and Return On Asset (ROA) ratio were used as the proxied of liquidity risk, credit risk and financial performance. The Population that was used in this research consisted of all conventional  commercial  banks which published the financial statements during 2007-2011. After passed the purposive sampling method there were 51 banks obtained as samples. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistic, panel regression test with common effect model, classical assumption test and hypotheses test. The result  of this  research  showed  that  independent  variable  consisted  of state  ownership,  foreign ownership,  LATA,  NPL  and  control  variable  bank  size  all  have  significant  impact  on  ROA. Research also found that state banks and foreign banks have a better level of profitability  than private domestic banks.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of credit risk, banking intermediation, liquidity risk, and management efficiency to banking profitability. The dependent variables in this study are Return On Assets (ROA) and Return On Equity (ROE). Meanwhile, the independent variables in this study are Allowance for Impairment Losses Ratio (CKPN), Loans to Deposits Ratio (LDR), Liquidity Gap, and Operating Expenses to Operating Incomes Ratio (BOPO).  The sampling technique is conducted by purposive sampling method. The number of total samples in this study is 9 conventional commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2010-2014. Data processing was performed using multiple linear regression analysis through classic assumption test beforehand. The results using ROA as the dependent variable showed that CKPN and LDR have a positive and significant effect on ROA, BOPO has a negative and significant effect on ROA, and Liquidity Gap has a positive but insignificant effect on ROA. Meanwhile, the results of this research using ROE as dependent variable showed that LDR and BOPO have a negative and significant effect on ROE, CKPN has a positive but insignificant effect on ROE and Liquidity Gap has a negative but insignificant effect on ROE. The results concluded that the profitability of banks can be influenced by CKPN, LDR, and BOPO.

Abstract

Nowadays, in order to obtain information about a product is not only limited to the information that given from the manufacturer. But the information can also be obtained through other personal consumer, this is called with Word of Mouth communication. As the development of current technologies, Word of Mouth communication evolved into electronic Word of Mouth can be done with a wider range. Electronic Word of Mouth Communication can positive or negative statements that form of consumer opinion, potential consumers, as well as a former consumer about a product that can be accessed by anyone in the virtual world as social media that can affect the consumer interest in consuming these products. This research aims to know the existence of the electronic Word of Mouth influence against the interests of consumers against purchasing a product, especially cosmetic products Sariayu. This research uses nonprobability sampling technique by distributing questionnaires to 258 female respondents aged 17 to 29 years who use social media and find out information about Sariayu cosmetic products. The collected data is then analyzed by several tests such as validity test, reliability test, normality test, heteroskedasity test, multicollinearity test, multiple regression analysis, t test, F test and determination coefficient test (R2) using IBM SPSS software application 22 for Windows. Based on the results show that electronic Word of Mouth has positive and significant effect to purchase intention.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of incentives, leadership and work load on the performance of nurses background of the phenomena that occur in the performance of nurses at the General Hospital of Semarang City. This study uses incentives, leadership and workload as independent variables and the performance of nurses as the dependent variable. This research was conducted at the General Hospital of Semarang City, with the data collection method using a questionnaire distributed to 70 nursing rooms General Hospital of Semarang City with a minimum length of work for 3 years.Based on the multiple linear regression test, the results show that the incentives have a positive relationship and a significant influence on the performance of nurses. Leadership has a positive and significant impact on the performance of nurses. While the workload has a positive relationship, but no significant effect on the performance of nurses.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of variables consisting of Return On Equity, Debt to Equity Ratio, Current Ratio, and privce to Book Value of the stock return of sharia in the companies belonging to the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) in the year 2007-2011. Sharia stocks are stocks in Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) are corporations stocks while are in operation not contradiction with Islamic Sharia, either on the product or its management. The grouping of Sharia stocks are in Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) in the Jakarta Stock Exchange. This research uses secondary data obtained from the financial statements of companies belonging to the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). Sampling was done by purposive sampling method, the number of samples used by 14 companies. The analytical method used in this research is multiple linear regression method. The results of this study indicate that the Return On Equity, Debt to Equity Ratio, Current Ratio and Price to Book Value simultaneously significant effect on stock returns. The results of the analysis of partial Return On Equity significant negative effect, while the Debt to Equity Ratio and Price to Book Value significant positive effect, the Current Ratio is not significant positive effect on stock returns. The results showed that 42.7% of variation variable stock returns can be explained by the variable Return On Equity, Debt to Equity Ratio, Current Ratio and Price to Book Value. While 57.3% stock return variable variation explained by other factors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence of employee responsiveness, employeeempathy, and employee reliability to service quality. Service quality can influence to consumer trust. The population used in this study is the guest in Griya Bougenville who ever live in there or more than once times.Samples in this study were 100 respondents and the techniques used are non-probability sampling technique with Accidental Sampling approach. The researcher use validity test, reliabilitytest, linier regression analysis, and hypothesis test supported by SPSS computer program version17. Independent variables are employee responsiveness, employee emphaty, and employee reliability. Intervening variable is service quality, and dependent variable is consumer trust.The  result  of  research  showed  that  employee  responsiveness,  employee  empathy,  andemployee reliability  have positive and significant impact on service quality. Service quality have positive and significant impact to Consumer Trust.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of CAR, BOPO, NPF and FDR on the profitability of Islamic Commercial Bank in Indonesia.. Profitability is proxied by ROA.The sample in this study is Islamic commercial bank in Indonesia during the period 2013-2017. The number of samples were 11 banks taken by purposive sampling method. The analytical method of this study uses multiple linear regression with the SPSS 23 program which has previously passed the classic assumption test.The results of this study indicate that CAR has a positive and significant effect on ROA. BOPO has a negative and significant effect on ROA. NPF has a negative and significant effect on ROA. FDR has a positive and significant effect on ROA. While using size as a kontrol variable indicates that CAR has a positive and significant effect on ROA.

Abstract

Hedging is an alternative of risk management that aims to protect the assets of company from losses caused by the risk. This study’s purpose is to analyze the influence of leverage, liquidity, growth opportunity, financial distress, cash flow volatility and dummy variable for the different effect of mining companies to manufacturing companies on hedging decision using derivative instruments at  manufacturing and mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2010-2014. This study uses secondary data derived from 72 annual financial statements. Sampling using purposive sampling method with the provision of the company that publishes  financial statements. Data analysis using logistic regression test. The results of this study found that liquidity, growth opportunity, financial distress, and cash flow volatility have significant effect on Hedging Decision using derivative instruments, whereas for the other variables did not influence hedging decision using derivative instruments. From the results of logistic regression found that the variable leverage, liquidity, the growth opportunity, financial distress, cash flow volatility and dummy variable for the different effect of mining companies to manufacturing companies can explain Hedging Decision using derivative instruments  by 25,8%, and the rest is explained by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

Human resources are the most important part to carry out the task and achieve the goal. From the results of employee performance data of the Industry and Trade of Central Java province occurred fluctuation. According to previous researchers factors of work facilities, non-physical work environment and job satisfaction affect employee performance. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of work facilities, non-physical work environment and job satisfaction on employee performanceData collection method used in this research is questionnaires dissemination by using purposive sampling method, the sample used in this research is employees of Industry and Trade Service of Central Java Province as much as 78 respondents who have working period more than four (4) years. This research uses data analysis methods such as validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination test, F test and t test.The results of this study indicate that work facilities, non-physical work environment and job satisfaction affect employee performance. Adjusted R Square value of 55.2%, which means that performance can be explained by the variable working facilities, non-physical work environment and job satisfaction. The remaining 44.8% can be explained by other variables.

Abstract

University is a part of education that produced educated employee who are able to fulfill the requirement of labor market. Islamic State of University (UIN) Walisongo Semarang were one of university that makes change from institute to University. It is done to keep demand of people needed and abreast of time, especialy the development in labor market. The purpose of this research is to do the culture mapping recently and expected future by all of stakeholder in order to it can be as recommendation to institute, have the culture recently and expected future This research used the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) method. Survey was done by employees, lectures, and university students using descriptive quantitative approach.             The result of this research is there was a similar of organization culture curently and expected future. That sense by stakeholder, such as employees, lectures, and university students who said that profile of Islamic State University (UIN) Walisongo Semarang currently and expected future was clan culture. There was tendency to clan culture that powerful as type culture expected. Clan culture dominated organization culture in UIN Walisongo releted to religious value that had UIN Walisongo since before change. In UIN Walisongo, it prioritised role or attitude silaturahmi, sincere, shidiq and humble and there were islamic organization culture that was taken from the resource of islamic law such as, Al Quran And Al Hadist Rasulullah SAW. This organization culture mapping can be reference UIN Walisongo to determine principle that accorded with vission, missions and purposes UIN Walisongo.
