Abstract

Development of a service industry not only promote the quality, timeliness and quality of service, but also requires the management of human resource is appropriate. This can be improved by considering factors such as, transformational leadership style, work motivation and organizational commitment. This study aims to explain how the effect of transformational leadership style, work motivation and organizational commitment to employee performance at PT TASPEN (Persero) Main Branch Office in Semarang.The population used in this study were all staff employees PT TASPEN (Persero) Main Branch Office in Semarang, amounting to 60 people. The sampling technique was conducted by sampling saturated. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis. The results of research to get the regression equation as follows: Employee Performance = -0,145X1 + 0,542X2 + 0,307X3Based on the test instrument, the indicators are valid and reliable. In the classical assumption, there are no symptoms multicoloniarity, does not occur heterokedastisitas, and normal distribution of data. The coefficient of determination shows the figure of 0,439, which means that the variable of employee performance is influenced by variables of transformational leadership style, employee motivation and organizational commitment of 43.9%. The results showed that work motivation and organizational commitment positive and significant impact employees performance of PT TASPEN (Persero) Main Branch Office in Semarang either partially or simultaneously. While the results of research on transformational leadership style negative and not significant impact employees performence of PT TASPEN (Persero) Main Branch Office Semarang.

Abstract

Along with the growth and development of the online store business in Indonesia which has increased very rapidly. The number of online stores offering the product are increasing. Particularly at “Fisheye Outlet” online store that sells gadget accecories and smartphoneaccecories. Increasing competition between online stores to sell their products , causing Fisheye Outlet online store sales decline.Fisheye Outlet online store should be able to use the best marketing strategies to stay afloat.This study uses five variables: quality products, competitive prices, product variety, store image, and purchasing decisions. This research hypothesis testing using the data of 100 respondents. The analysis technique used in this research is to use a software program Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 20.The result of this study indicate that variable product quality positively affect to store image. Then, variable competitive prices, store image, and product variety are positively affect to purchase decision.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of Djarum brand can build consumer confidence in the brand Djarum itself until today. For that brand equity should be achieved by a company to win a competition, especially in the cigarette industry. As we all know smoking becomes secondary needs among young people, but many young people there are who think smoking is their primary needs. This study uses quantitative methods. Data were collected by questionnaire technique. Respondents for this study is the population in the study were Djarum Super smokers with the number of respondents 100 people. Quantitative methods include the validity  and reliability, the classic assumption test, testing hypotheses through F test, t test and the coefficient of determination (R2). The data analysis technique used is the linear regression analysis. And in this study using Sobel test to detect brand loyalty as intervening variable.The results of this study indicate that the brand image and brand awareness and a significant positive effect on brand loyalty, brand loyalty subsequently accepted as an intervening variable in mediating the brand image and brand awareness to brand equity.

Abstract

Foreign currency derivatives are commonly used by companies to hedge foreign exchange risk. This study aims to examine the effect of Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Interest Coverage Ratio (ICR), liquidity, growth opportunity, firm size, foreign debt, and managerial ownership on hedging decision using foreign currency derivatives. Using purposive sampling, 93 non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2011-2014 are selected as sample. Sample data are collected from annual report published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange website. Logistic regression analysis is used in this study to examine the effect of independent variables on dependent variable. The result of this study proves that ICR, growth opportunity, firm size, and foreign debt have positive and significant effect on hedging decision using foreign currency derivative. Liquidity has negative and significant effect on hedging decision using foreign currency derivatives. Whereas DER and managerial ownership do not influence hedging decision using foreign currency derivatives. The value of Nagelkerke’s R Square is 35,4% which means the variability of the dependent variable that can be explained by the variability of independent variables in the model amounted to 35,4%.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to  define and comprehensively analyze the influence  of  work  family  conflict  and  role  ambiguity  towards  intention  to  quit  by conducting  work  stress  as  the  intervening  variable.  This  research  was  conducted  by passing the questionaires to 50 staffs in Grand Edge Hotel, Semarang.It applied multiple regression as method   analysing the data. In testng the data, validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, and determinant coefficient test, F test, T test, and Test of Sobel were conducted in order to check the mediation effectAs the result, it showed that work family conflict was positively and significanly influenced  work  stress  and  intention  to  quite,  role  ambiguity  was  positively  and significanly influenced work stress and intention to quite. Work stress   was to mediate relation between work family conflict and role ambiguity towards intention to quit.

Abstract

The background of this research is the reduction of direct interaction and a guarantee that the company gave notice to the customer. This study aims to determine how much influence customer contact and service guarantee to customer satisfaction with customer value as an intervening variable in train service users operating area 4 Semarang.            The number of samples in thie study are 100 respondents train service users ho were selected based on purposive sampling method. The questionnaire is distribute in April 2015. The data obtained are processed using validity and reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple regression analysis, goodness of fit test with regression coefficients, test F and test T.            The result of this study showed that the variables of customer contact provide value 43,6% and service guarantee provide value 42,7% which both have a positive and significant impact on customer value. Then customer contact provide value 25,8% and customer value with a  value of 62,7% which both have a positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction, while service guarantee with a value of 1,4% have a positive effect but not significant on customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine factors that can affects innovation on competitive advantage in the small and medium industries of metals and machinery were still able to survive in the current competitive environment. Intellectual capital, leadership, and business partner collaboration are all factors used in this study that may affect innovation.      The population in this study is small and medium-scale industries in the metal processing sector in Tegal regency, while the sample was taken of 120 companies / metalworkers. Model analysis using two steps linear regression analysis using SPSS 21.      The results showed that: 1) intellectual capital and leadership is a factor that can affect the appearance of innovation, while business partner collaboration doesn’t indicate influence on innovation, with coefficient regression ; 2) innovation has a very strong influence on the competitive advantages, with coefficient regression .

Abstract

High employee turnover rate may result the organization not effective and eficient. Organization must minimalism turnover intention so organization will not miss the experience employee and no expense useless. This research aims to analyze the influence of job involvement and job satisfaction on turnover intention of employees. This research was conducted in PT. Njonja Meneer Semarang to the number of samples set 101 respondents. The method used is Purposive Sampling and method data anlysis is used multiple linear regression analysis, using SPSS program.The results of  testing hypotesis, shows that job involvement has negative and significant influence on turnover intention of emloyees and Job satisfaction has negative and significant influence one turnover intention of employees. The results of determination are 0,482 indicates that the capability of independent variabels (job involvement and job satisfaction) in explaining the dependent variable (turnover intention) is 48,2%.

Abstract

Business competition in the airline industry is quite strict, and cannot be avoided. Ittakes a lot of innovations and knowledges of what needs are needed by the community sothat people will be loyal to the product. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect ofprice and service quality that affect customer satisfaction which may also have an impacton customer loyaltyThe purpose of this study is to find out the effect of price and service quality thataffect customer satisfaction which may also have an impact on customer loyalty. Thepopulation in this study was airline consumers in the city of Semarang. The number ofsample used was 126 people selected using nonprobability sampling and purposivesampling through questionnaires. The results showed that price affects customersatisfaction, service quality affects customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction affectscustomer loyalty. In this study service quality is the most influential variable on customersatisfaction. Customer satisfaction is also found to have a mediating function in theinfluence relationship between price and service quality to customer loyalty.

Abstract

Every company wants consumers can re-purchase the company. Therefore, employers race - the race to attract consumers of various segments in accordance with the target market. This is done to make consumers who have come in and buy food at the restaurant, are interested in coming back to the restaurant one is Holycow in Semarang. Problems that occur in Holycow is there a decrease in the number of sales and an increase in the number of complaints during the end  year 2014 and in the year 2015, which indicates an increase in customer dissatisfaction which cause customers not interested in re-purchase. Prasurvey based on the results that have been done, it can take several variables thought to influence the the image of the restaurant is customer satisfaction, and the perception of price. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that affect the image of the restaurant and customer repurchase intention Holycow Semarang.The study population was all subscribers restaurant Holycow Semarang. The sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling method. The sample used in this study were 96 people Holycow Semarang restaurant customers. The data used are primary data using questionnaires. The analysis technique used is the analysis path analysis with Sobel test.Based on this research results by using determination , the image of the restaurant is able to be explained by two variables: customer satisfaction and perception of prices by 76.6 % . Buying interest re able to be explained by the perception and image of the restaurant price of 71.7 %
