Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of guided inquiry learning models and problem-based learning models on critical thinking skills of class X students at SMAN 2 Bondowoso. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design. Sampling using purposive sampling in class X B as the experimental class and class X C as the control class. Data collection techniques are observation, tests, and documents. Data analysis techniques are Independent Sample T-test and N-Gain test. The results of the study indicate that there is an effect of guided inquiry learning models on students' critical thinking skills with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and the N-Gain test in the experimental class of 0.3352 and the control class of 0.0390. From this comparison, it is concluded that the experimental class has a higher increase in critical thinking skills than the control class. Based on the N-Gain assessment criteria, the control class is included in the low criteria, namely N-Gain <0.30, while the experimental class is included in the medium category with a value of 0.30 ≤ N-Gain 0.70. This shows that the use of guided inquiry learning models has a significant influence on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

In 2023, Central Java Province received the largest allocation of village funds. However, among the 29 regencies in Central Java, no region has achieved the status of an Independent Village (Desa Mandiri). Additionally, the economic growth rate of Central Java Province over the past four years has been lower than the national growth rate, and four regencies in Central Java have an average growth rate below that of the province. This study aims to analyze the impact of village funds on the economic growth of regencies in Central Java Province using data from 29 regencies during the 2018–2023 period. The results of the path analysis estimation show that village funds have a significant negative direct effect on economic growth. The use of village funds tends to be suboptimal in supporting economic acceleration. However, village funds have a positive impact on physical capital, such as infrastructure, as well as on human capital, represented by the increase in the Human Development Index (HDI). Although physical and human capital have been proven to contribute to economic growth, the indirect effect of village funds through these two factors is not significant.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the post-pandemic socio-economic gap and recovery efforts in Banyuwangi Regency. Using a literature review approach and bibliometric analysis with VOS Viewer, the research identifies the factors contributing to the socio-economic gap in Banyuwangi, as well as the strategies implemented for recovery. The analysis reveals that unequal access to technology, education, and economic resources is a major cause of the gap. On the other hand, recovery efforts focused on developing MSMEs, tourism, rebranding local products such as Banyuwangi batik, and the Banyuwangi Rebound program have played a significant role in reducing the negative impacts of the pandemic. These findings provide valuable insights for the government and economic actors in designing more inclusive policies based on local community empowerment for sustainable recovery.

Abstract

Demand for money is an important indicator in the economy that reflects the needs of the public and economic actors for cash and non-cash money for transactions, investments, and reserves. Bali Province, as one of the main tourist destinations in Indonesia, has unique and interesting economic dynamics to study, especially in terms of money demand. Over the period 2000-2023, changes in the demand for money in Bali Province were influenced by various macroeconomic factors such as inflation, interest rates, and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the demand for money in Bali Province by using the Domowitz-El Badawi Error Corection Model (ECM) on secondary data obtained from the Bali Central Bureau of Statistics. The result revealed 24.4% of the imbalance from the previous period will be adjusted in the current period. This negative and significant coefficient indicates that the ECM model used is valid. In the long run, inflation and GDP have a positive effect on money demand, while interest rates have a negative effect. In the short term, inflation has a positive effect, while the BI rate has a negative effect on money demand. However, GDP shows a negative coefficient, which may indicate the influence of other factors in the short term.

Abstract

Informal economic education within families serves as a crucial foundation that shapes children's economic mindset from an early age. This study explores how parents' socioeconomic status influences teaching methods and the economic values instilled in their children. The research involves six families in Surabaya representing low, middle, and high socioeconomic classes. The evaluation employs the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model to analyze the relevance, resources, implementation, and outcomes of informal economic education. The findings reveal significant differences: families with higher socioeconomic status tend to use more complex methods, such as critical dialogue and strategic role modeling. Meanwhile, middle-class families rely on habit formation and dialogue to build financial management understanding. In contrast, families with lower socioeconomic status focus more on basic role modeling and simple habit-building. This study recommends that all parents enhance their awareness of the importance of economic education and apply methods tailored to their circumstances. Furthermore, there is a need for more inclusive and accessible formal economic education programs to support families across all socioeconomic levels in developing more effective teaching methods.
