Abstract

Objective: This study addresses the issue of delinquent customer payment behavior, which negatively affects the sustainability of electricity distribution and often necessitates temporary power disconnections by utility providers. Method: A research and development (R&D) approach was employed to design and implement a mobile disconnection system using an Arduino Uno microcontroller, HC-05 Bluetooth module, and an Android-based Bluetooth Controller. Results: Testing demonstrated that the HC-05 module provided an effective connectivity range of up to 4 meters, with an average 0.8-second delay between command transmission from the Android application and execution by the Arduino Uno to cut off electricity. Novelty: The developed IoT-based voltage breaker application significantly improves operational efficiency and service responsiveness for utility officers in handling late-paying customers, thereby enhancing overall utility management and sustainability.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to explore how enterprises, organizations, and institutions—both public and private—manage human resources to achieve greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness while preserving human dignity and enhancing employee potential. Method: The research employs a qualitative analytical approach, drawing from organizational management theories and case studies of enterprises with active primary trade unions to assess their impact on employee performance and workplace conditions. Results: The findings indicate that organizations which prioritize human-centered management practices and establish primary trade unions experience improved legal awareness among employees, enhanced socio-economic welfare, and stronger organizational cohesion. These factors collectively contribute to a more efficient, productive, and positive organizational environment. Novelty: This article offers an integrative perspective linking human dignity, labor relations, and organizational efficiency, emphasizing that sustainable productivity stems not merely from economic incentives but from institutional respect for employees’ rights, participation, and collective representation.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze and classify public sentiment toward prominent individuals on social media, focusing on distinguishing between acceptable opinion and hate speech. Method: A dataset comprising 700 tweets about public figures was collected and processed using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification algorithm, with Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) employed for feature weighting. The approach was chosen to evaluate the effectiveness of SVM in handling textual sentiment data. Results: The implementation of the SVM model demonstrated reliable performance in categorizing tweets according to sentiment polarity and identifying instances of hate speech. The TF-IDF weighting method enhanced the accuracy of feature representation within the model. Novelty: This study contributes to computational linguistics and social media analytics by providing an empirical evaluation of SVM’s capability in sentiment classification related to public figures, offering potential applications for automated monitoring of online discourse and hate speech detection.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the role of Indonesian positive law in regulating the sale of premium accounts through third parties and to assess the extent of consumer legal protection in such digital transactions. Method: The research adopts a normative juridical approach with a statutory and conceptual framework, supported by literature analysis and examination of relevant laws and regulations concerning e-commerce and consumer rights. Results: The findings reveal that current Indonesian legal provisions inadequately address the legality and consumer protection aspects of third-party premium account sales, creating a regulatory gap in the digital marketplace. The analysis indicates the need for clearer legal definitions, stronger enforcement mechanisms, and updated consumer protection frameworks to mitigate potential fraud and misuse. Novelty: This study contributes to the growing discourse on digital commerce law by highlighting the emerging legal implications of intangible digital goods transactions and proposing a structured legal perspective to enhance consumer protection in Indonesia’s rapidly evolving e-commerce environment.

Abstract

Objective: This study examines the influence of effectiveness, security, and lifestyle on students’ interest in using the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) for transactions. Method: A quantitative approach was applied with a sample of 187 accounting students from the 2020–2021 cohort at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. The purposive sampling technique was used, and data were collected through questionnaires based on a Likert scale derived from variable indicators. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 23. Results: The findings indicate that both effectiveness and security have a positive and significant impact on students’ interest in using QRIS. However, lifestyle does not have a significant effect on transaction interest. Conclusion: The results suggest that students’ adoption of QRIS is primarily driven by perceived efficiency and security rather than lifestyle factors, highlighting the importance of improving system reliability and performance to increase user engagement.
