Abstract

This research discusses the genealogy of 'Abdullāh ibn Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān’s thought, an Islamic scholar who examines the book Minḥat al-‘Allām. In this context, a comparison with Ibn Ḥajar, who adheres to the Shafi'i madhhab, shows differences in approach. Although al-Fawzān comes from the Hanbali madhhab, he chooses strong opinions supported by scholars. The research method used is a qualitative approach, exploring the Islamic educational values and al-Fawzān's thoughts on jihad in Minḥat al-‘Allām. The steps of analyzing al-Fawzān's thought genealogy involve a multicausal approach, considering historical context, personal experience, and intellectual influence. 'Abdullāh ibn Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān emphasizes the importance of interpreting the Quran and Sunnah and accepts ahadith as a source of Islamic law. In deducing laws, al-Fawzān uses the Hadith method by considering the texts of the Quran and Hadith, the opinions of the companions, and the use of analogy. Al-Fawzān's thoughts on jihad-related hadiths demonstrate a broad understanding, considering social and historical contexts. His genealogical analysis depicts the influence of formal education, academic environment, scientific methodology, the heritage of Islamic scholarship, social-political experience, and interaction with other scholars. Al-Fawzān's thought represents a synthesis of experience and education, forming a deep understanding of hadith in a modern context.

Abstract

This research reveals and describes the dynamics of madrasas and Muhammadiyah schools in the era of curriculum policy transition, where curriculum changes in Indonesia have a serious impact on educational institutions. The era of policy transition causes upheaval and dynamics that are not simple. The type of research used is descriptive research. Data was obtained through questionnaires and interviews as more in-depth information. The respondents in this study were 31 educators in madrasas and Muhammadiyah schools in Yogyakarta City, spread across seven educational institutions starting from elementary (SD), middle school (SMP), and high school (SMA). The results of the research show that there are dynamics in madrasas and Muhammadiyah schools in the city of Yogyakarta. First, the implementation of 2 types of curriculum (K-13 and the Independent Learning Curriculum). Second, there is a level of concern among educators regarding student achievement and achievements. Third, even though there are quite big concerns, personally, the majority of educationists accept the implementation of the independent learning curriculum; however, institutionally, they are considering it first. Fourth, the implementation of two curricula (K-13 and the Independent Learning Curriculum) produces two tendencies: k-13 is more about academic achievement, and the independent learning curriculum tends to focus more on life skill achievement.

Abstract

The process of digitalization, technology and information is an important momentum and opportunity for humanity to take advantage of all forms of contemporary developments in the digital world, including its use as a learning medium. Video media is an alternative used in learning activities and one of them is YouTube. However, not all teachers accept changes in circumstances and technology to be used as evaluation material in order to improve themselves better. Not a few teachers persist in past teaching patterns because they think that their teaching experience has shown success in the students they teach. Such understandings are reluctant to make changes, because they are considered to threaten patterns that have existed for a long time. In fact, technological developments have influenced every line of life and required new adaptations from humans in interacting with each other, including in the educational process. This problem does not occur with PAI teachers at SDN Semen. Existing PAI teachers have been able to adapt to increasingly advanced and developing technology. Even PAI teachers at the school are accustomed to using online features in learning activities. What's more interesting is that PAI teachers are able to use YouTube media even though they are still faced with several inadequate supporting facilities and also limited internet wifi in some classes. Based on this phenomenon, the aim of this research is to describe more fully the implementation of YouTube as a learning medium and will describe how PAI teachers implement this media-based learning. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach, collecting data through non-participant observation, unstructured interviews and documentation. The research results show that YouTube implementation goes through three stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation.

Abstract

The process of learning activities is now increasingly varied and developing following advances in various fields of science, but not all teachers are willing or able to utilize these various learning methods. This problem occurs especially in the fields of social and religious sciences which are mostly guided by textbook texts without any initiative by teachers to develop contextually during the learning process, so that the essence of the learning material cannot be understood by students. Apart from that, technological advances have given rise to moral problems that are at an alarming level. This issue is related to Islamic religious education learning activities and their implications for the quality of student character, so evaluation is needed in the form of research and assessment as material for reflection on the results of implementing the PAI learning process on the quality of student character. This research aims to analyze the relationship and influence of PAI learning with improving the quality of student character. The research approach uses correlational quantitative methods. The population is 99 students in class XI at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Wates. Sampling used saturated sampling, and questionnaires as data collection techniques. The data analysis techniques use descriptive and inferential. Descriptive analysis techniques include frequency analysis and cross tables, while inferential analysis techniques include correlation analysis and simple linear regression. The research results show that the contribution of PAI learning to improving the quality of students' character is positive and significant, and the correlation coefficient value is 0.542 in the medium category. The influence of PAI learning on the quality of students' character is 29.4%

Abstract

The research aims is to determine: 1) The condition of students' disciplinary character at Noling Education Foundation Junior High School; 2) The management of implementing student discipline formation through social learning approach at Noling Education Foundation Junior High School. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research, data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation methods. As for the data analysis techniques used, they are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings indicate that 1) The disciplinary character of students at Noling YPN Junior High School has fulfilled 5 indicators of discipline, namely attending school, participating in learning activities, completing assignments, studying at home, and adhering to school regulations properly. There are 2 indicators that show minimal results in shaping student discipline using the social learning approach, namely students' discipline in completing assigned tasks and students' discipline in studying at home. 2) The implementation of student discipline formation management through the social learning approach starts from planning, including formulating objectives, drafting the format of student discipline formation, and establishing school regulations. This process involves Teachers and Education Personnel, School Committees, Stakeholders, and students' parents, considering the goals to be achieved. Teachers apply social learning indicators in the teaching process, and evaluations are conducted to identify the core of teachers' mistakes in shaping student discipline, thus identifying supporting and inhibiting factors, including funding solely sourced from the School Operational Assistance (Bos) funds and the completeness of facilities and infrastructure at Noling YPN Junior High School. 3) The model of student discipline formation consists of regular habits, providing explanations about the rules, explaining the consequences of actions logically, shaping behavior in one step, and teaching problem-solving skills, primarily in shaping student discipline.
