Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the income and business sustainability of micro and small businesses through the implementation of digital-based promotional strategies, strengthening business management, and product and service innovation. The main problems faced by partners include limited use of digital technology, weak financial and operational management, and a lack of product differentiation in the market. The implementation method includes training, mentoring, and periodic evaluations focused on optimizing social media, marketplaces, and the use of simple digital tools for marketing. In addition, managerial capacity is strengthened through the preparation of simple bookkeeping, business planning, and quality control. Business innovation is developed through product diversification, increasing added value, and adapting to market needs. The results of the activity show an increase in partners' understanding and skills in digital marketing, improvements to business management systems, and increased product competitiveness. The resulting impact is seen in an increase in the number of customers, expansion of market reach, and an increase in business turnover. Thus, this integrated strategy has proven effective in driving revenue growth while maintaining sustainable business sustainability in the digital economy era.

Abstract

The problem of environmental cleanliness is still a challenge in various residential areas, including in Sukakarya Village. Poorly maintained environmental conditions, such as the accumulation of household waste, clogged drainage channels, and decreased community participation in community service activities, have the potential to have a negative impact on public health and environmental quality. One of the strategic efforts that can be carried out is the revitalization of the culture of mutual cooperation as a form of strengthening the collective participation of the community in maintaining environmental cleanliness. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to increase public awareness, strengthen social participation, and create a clean and healthy environment through the strengthening of the culture of mutual cooperation. The method used in this activity is Participatory Action Research (PAR) with the stages of problem identification and field observation, Forum Group Discussion (FGD), implementation of mutual cooperation actions, community education, and evaluation of activities. The results of the activity show that the gotong royong revitalization program is able to increase community participation in environmental cleanliness activities, improve the physical condition of the environment through cleaning residential areas and drainage channels, and increase public awareness of the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness and health. In addition, this activity also strengthens social solidarity and rebuilds the values of togetherness in community life. Thus, the revitalization of the gotong royong culture has proven to be an effective strategy in managing environmental cleanliness based on community participation and has the potential to become a model of sustainable community empowerment.

Abstract

Waste problems are an increasingly complex environmental issue, especially in residential areas that do not have an optimal management system, such as in Babakan Village. Low public awareness in sorting and utilizing waste leads to increased environmental pollution as well as loss of economic potential from the waste produced. Therefore, this activity aims to analyze the role of environmental education and the use of recycled waste in improving the economic welfare of the community. The method used is a community empowerment approach through four stages, namely planning, socialization and education, training and practice, and monitoring and evaluation. The results of the activity show an increase in community knowledge, awareness, and skills in managing waste, especially through the application of the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) concept. The community is starting to be able to process inorganic waste into products of economic value, such as handicrafts, and utilize organic waste into compost. In addition, there has been an increase in community participation in community-based waste management activities. However, there are still obstacles in the sustainability of the program, especially related to the consistency of participation and marketing development of recycled products. Overall, this activity shows that environmental education combined with the direct practice of using recycled waste is effective in encouraging changes in community behavior while opening up opportunities to increase income. This program has the potential to become a model of sustainable community empowerment in supporting environmental sustainability and economic welfare

Abstract

This research aims to strengthen community participation and implement digitalization in the governance of the Red and White Cooperative (KMP) in Sukabumi City. The method used is a participatory approach by involving lecturers as supervisors and students as facilitators through legality counseling activities, managerial workshops, and intensive field assistance that includes door-to-door interaction for information system activation and curation of member products. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the participation and digital literacy of cooperative members, with an increase in the understanding of collective benefits by 56%, trust in the management by 61%, and digital report literacy by 63%. Digitization and information disclosure have succeeded in reducing the apathy of citizens, strengthening trust, and encouraging the development of cooperative productive business units. This program proves that the integration of persuasive education and digital technology is the main key in restoring the dignity of urban cooperatives and encouraging economic independence.

Abstract

Remaja merupakan kelompok usia yang rentan terhadap perilaku berisiko, termasuk konsumsi minuman beralkohol dan penyalahgunaan obat bebas, yang dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan dan kualitas hidup. Rendahnya pengetahuan remaja mengenai bahaya kedua perilaku tersebut menjadi salah satu faktor yang meningkatkan risiko penyimpangan perilaku. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja mengenai bahaya minuman beralkohol dan penyalahgunaan obat bebas melalui edukasi kesehatan di SMPN 2 Soropia. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan interaktif disertai diskusi dan media edukasi berupa leaflet. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan desain one group pre-test post-test terhadap 27 siswa. Instrumen evaluasi berupa kuesioner pengetahuan terkait perilaku berisiko remaja. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan siswa setelah diberikan edukasi. Rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 41,1 pada pre-test menjadi 85,2 pada post-test dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,77 yang termasuk kategori tinggi. Selain itu, kategori pengetahuan baik mengalami peningkatan setelah intervensi edukasi diberikan. Edukasi kesehatan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja mengenai bahaya minuman beralkohol dan penyalahgunaan obat bebas serta dapat menjadi upaya promotif dan preventif di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Household organic waste is an environmental problem that is still often not managed optimally, so it has the potential to cause pollution. This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to improve community knowledge and skills in managing organic waste through training on making compost layering method in Nanggeleng Village, Citamiang District, Sukabumi City. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) with the stages of problem identification, socialization, practical training, and monitoring and evaluation. The training was carried out by utilizing household organic waste which was arranged in layers between green materials and brown materials to support the decomposition process. The results of the activity showed an increase in public understanding, skills, and awareness in organic waste management as well as the ability to practice composting independently. This program contributes to reducing the volume of household waste and supports the creation of a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve the competitiveness of cassava chips MSMEs in Cibeureum Hilir Village through product rebranding and utilization of e-commerce based on digital marketing. The problems faced by partners inclueded simple product packaging, unattractive brand identity, and convetional marketing methods. The implementation method used the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) and Participatory Action Research (PAR) approaches through observation, training, mentoring, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation stages. The programs carried out inclueded creating new logos and packaging designs, digital marketing training, marketplace utilization, and business location registration on Google Maps. The results showed improvements in product visual quality, stroger brand identity, and increased partner understanding in using digital media for marketing purposes. Product began to be promoted through marketplace and social media, helping expand market reach. In addition, registering the business location on Google Maps made it easier for consumers to find MSME. Therefore, the implementation of rebranding strategies and e-commerce optimization ws considered effective in improving MSME competitiveness sustainably

Abstract

The problem of household waste management is still a major challenge, especially in areas that do not have an integrated management system. The practice of open burning that is commonly carried out by the community has a negative impact on the environment and health due to harmful gas emissions. This research aims to develop a waste management model based on community participation through the application of Smokeless Burn Barrel technology in Jayamekar Village, Sukabumi City. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) which actively involves the community in the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD), with interactive qualitative data analysis. The results of the study show that the application of Smokeless Burn Barrel technology is able to significantly reduce the volume of waste and smoke emissions, as well as increase public awareness and participation in waste management. In addition, there has been a change in community behavior in sorting waste before processing. The resulting model consists of four main components, namely the identification of participatory problems, the implementation of appropriate technologies, changes in community behavior, and continuous evaluation. However, the sustainability of the program still requires further assistance and institutional strengthening. This research confirms that the integration of appropriate technology and community participation is an effective strategy in realizing sustainable waste management and has the potential to be replicated in other regions.

Abstract

The problem of household waste is still a major challenge in maintaining environmental cleanliness, especially in densely populated areas. Low public awareness in sorting organic and inorganic waste leads to an increase in the volume of mixed waste and a decrease in environmental quality. Community Service (PKM) activities in Sindangsari Village are carried out through the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, including problem identification, socialization, education, implementation of the waste sorting system, and evaluation. The results of the activity show an increase in public understanding of waste classification and the importance of environment-based management. This program has succeeded in changing people's behavior to sort waste before it is disposed of, reduce the volume of mixed waste, and encourage the use of organic waste into compost and inorganic waste to be recycled or distributed to waste banks. The implementation of this system has proven to be effective in increasing environmental cleanliness and public awareness of sustainable waste management.

Abstract

The issue of household waste management remains an environmental challenge due to the increasing volume of waste generated and the continued practice of open burning, which has the potential to cause air pollution and public health hazards. This community service initiative aims to implement an aerated concrete incinerator as an alternative solution for more effective, economical, and sustainable household waste management in Sindangpalay Village. The activity was carried out using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, actively involving the community in every stage of the process—from problem identification, program planning, and implementation to monitoring and evaluation. This included field observations, environmental outreach and education, participatory construction of the incinerators, training on equipment use, and the implementation of waste management using lightweight concrete incinerators. The results of the activity showed that the use of lightweight concrete incinerators helped reduce the volume of household waste, curbed open burning practices, and increased community awareness and participation in more environmentally friendly waste management. In addition, this participatory approach helps encourage changes in community behavior regarding waste sorting and the simple application of the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), making the use of lightweight concrete incinerators an effective tool for supporting sustainable community-based waste management.
