Abstract

The goals of this research was to describe the practicality of inquiry based-physics learning to improve students’ scientific process skills in term of teacher’s activities treatment and students’ activities, and to describe the effectiveness in term of the scientific process skills improvement, classical mastery and students’ responses. This research was pre experimental research by using one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this research was determined by ensuring that the population was distributed normally and had homogenous ability, so it obtained grade XI MIA 1 and X MIA 2 of SMAN 1 Sooko as the samples. Inquiry based-physics learning could be implemented and successfully increased students’ scientific process skills in very good category. Students’ activity was categorized as good. Students’ learning achievement scope of knowledge could obtained classical mastery by 93,06 %. Students’ response of inquiry based-phisics learning model had very good criteria in both class. Based on that result, it showed that implementation of inquiry based-physics learning model could improve students’ scientific process skills. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, dan respon siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri pada materi hukum II Newton di kelas X MAN Rengel Tuban. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimntal yang menggunakan desain penelitian One grup pretest-posttest design.  Subjek penelitian ini adalah 30 orang siswa kelas X MIPA 4 di MAN Rengel Tuban. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar pengamatan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, angket respon siswa dan lembar soal pre-test dan post-test. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan gain ternormalisasi, analisis angket respons siswa dan analisis keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sampel berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri diperoleh Gain Score dalam kategori sedang. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa termasuk dalam kategori sedang.  Kegiatan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri pada materi hukum II Newton terlaksana dengan baik. Penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi hukum II Newton kelas X di MAN Rengel Tuban mendapatkan respon baik sekali dari siswa yakni sebesar 78,30%. Dengan demikian model pembelajaran inkuiri memiliki peran dalam melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif saat pembelajaran fisika untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Abstract The study aims to describe the implementation of learning, improvement of students creative thinking ability, and student response by using inquiry learning model in Newton second law in class X MAN Rengel Tuban. This type of research is a pre-experimental study using One grup pretest-posttest desaign. The subject is thirty person of class X MIPA 4 in MAN Rengel Tuban. The research instrument used was observation sheet of learning activity, student activity, student response questionnaire and pre-test and post-test questionnaire. Data analysis used is normality test, homogeneity test, normalized gain, analysis of student responses and analysis of learning effectiveness. The results showed that the samples were normal and homogeneous distributed. The calculation result shows the students creative thinking skill taught with inquiry model obtained by Gain Score medium category. The creative thinking ability of the student is included in the medium category. The learning activity using inquiry model in Newton II law material was done well. The application of inquiry learning model to improve students creative thinking skill on matter Newtons second law in class X MAN Rengel Tuban get good response from students equal to 78,30%. Thus the inquiry learning model has a role in tapping into the creative thinking skills during physics learning to improve students creative thinking skills. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan studi awal untuk mengetahui profil self-efficacy dan hasil belajar fisika dalam rangka menentukan model pengajaran yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan self-efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi momentum dan impuls. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan survey dan kajian literatur. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar angket self-efficacy dan lembar tes materi momentum dan impuls. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak  79 siswa kelas X. Hasil penelitian didapatkan: nilai rata-rata self-efficacy siswa berkategori tinggi pada dimensi magnitude, strength, dan generality; hasil belajar siswa tergolong kurang; model pengajaran yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan self-efficacy dan hasil belajar fisika adalah model pengajaran inkuiri. Kata-kata kunci: Inkuiri, self-efficacy, hasil belajar fisika, pembelajaran fisika. Abstract This study is a preliminary study to find out the profile of self-efficacy and the results of physics learning in order to determine the appropriate teaching model to improve self-efficacy and student learning outcomes on the momentum and impulse material. The research method in this study using survey and litelature review. Instrument used are self-efficacy questionnaires and sheet test momentum and impuls material. The subjects of this study were 79 students of class X. The results of this study indicated that: the average student self-efficacy score is high on the magnitude, strength, and generality dimensions; student learning outcomes are classified as less; appropriate teaching model to improve self-efficacy is a inquiry teaching model. Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kreatif ilmiah adalah keterampilan atau kemampuan untuk menghasilkan ide-ide atau gagasan yang ditekankan pada kegiatan ilmiah. Penelitian ini merupakan studi pendahuluan untuk mengetahui keterampilan berpikir kreatif ilmiah siswa pada materi momentum dan impuls. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah test yang mengadaptasi dari instrumen Hu dan Adey (2010) yaitu berupa lembar tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif ilmiah. Dari 69 siswa kelas XI peminatan Matematika dan Ilmu Alam, diperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kreatif ilmiah siswa masih tergolong rendah.  Kata Kunci: keterampilan berpikir kreatif ilmiah, momentum dan impuls   Abstract Scientific creativity learning skill is an ability to produce any ideas which is focused on science activity. This research is a preliminary study to find out the students scientific creativity skill on the momentum and impulse material. The research method of this study is test which is adapted from Hu and Adey instrument, those are scientific creativity thinking sheet test. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran Guided Discovery bermedia PhET dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi vektor. merupakan penelitian pre-ekperimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest, menggunakan satu kelas uji coba dan kelas replikasi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi dan tes. Data hasil pretest dan posttest dianalisis dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji t dan uji gain ternormalisasi untu mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian dengan media PhET pada materi vektor termasuk dalam kategori: a) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sangat baik; b) hasil belajar siswa pada ketiga kelas mengalami peningkatan signifikan dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan penerapkan model pembelajaran guided discovery dengan media PhET dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi vektor.   Kata kunci: Guided Discovery, PhET, Vektor. Abstract This study aims to describe the implementation of Guided Discovery learning model and improvement of student learning outcomes in vector material. is a pre-experimental study with a one-pretest-posttest design, using a single trial class and replication class. Data collection methods used were observation and test. Pretest and posttest result data were analyzed with normality test, homogeneity test, t test and normalized gain test to know the improvement of student learning outcomes. The results of research with PhET media on vector material are included in the categories of: a) excellent learning execution; b) student learning outcomes in all three classes experienced significant improvement with medium category. Based on this it can be concluded that the implementation of guided discovery learning model with PhET media can improve student learning outcomes in vector subject.   Keywords: Guided Discovery, PhET, Vector.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa, mendekripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, dan mendeskripsikan respons siswa setelah diterapkan model pengajaran langsung pada materi gerak harmonik sederhana. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre experiment dengan one group pre-test and post-test design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Sekaran pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X MIA 2 (kelas eksperimen), X MIA 3 (kelas replikasi 1), dan X MIA 4 (kelas replikasi 2). Tingkat peningkatan dengan n-gain scores besar 0,75 untuk kelas eksperimen, 0,72 untuk kelas replikasi 1, dan 0,74 untuk kelas replikasi 2 dengan kategori tinggi di ketiga kelas. Rata-rata persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen, kelas replikasi 1, dan kelas replikasi  adalah 83,59%, 80,46%, dan 82,03%. Respon siswa kelas eksperimen, kelas replikasi 1 dan kelas replikasi 2 dalam kategori sangat baik dengan rata-rata persentase pada masing-masing kelas adalah 81,89%; 81,27%, dan 83,03% . Kata kunci: Pengajaran Langsung, Hasil Belajar, Gerak Harmonik Sederhana.   Abstract This research was about the implementation of direct instructions on simple harmonic movement to increase the result of student learning at X grade in SMAN 1 Sekaran Lamongan. The purpose of this research was to describe the result of student learning, to describe the learning feasibility, and to describe students response after implemented the direct learning on simple harmonic movement. The type of this research was pre-experiment with one group pre-test and post-test design research. This research was implemented in SMAN 1 Sekaran for odd semester 2017/2018,. The subject of this research was students grade X of MIA 2 (experiment class), X MIA 3 (first replication class), and X MIA 4 (second replication class). The increasing of n-gain scores was 0,75 for experiment class, 0,72 for first replication class, and 0,74 for second replications class with high category in all classes. The average of learning feasibility presentation of experiment class, first replication class, second replication class respectively were 83,59%, 80,46%, and 82,03%. Student result of experiment class, first replication class, second replication class showed the positive value with the average of presentation on each class were 81,89%; 81,27%, and 83,03% with excellent category for three classes. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to produce a worthy (valid, practical, and effective) ripple tank teaching aid to increase science process skills on the topic of mechanical wave. The methods in this research refer to ADDIE research model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, Evaluation). The developed teaching aid, was reviewed by two physics experts from The State University of Surabaya, then was validated by two lecturers from The State University of Surabaya and a physics teacher in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Jombang. Based on the result of validation that has been done, the developed teaching aid is worth to use if it is viewed from validity aspect. To know its worth from effectiveness, restricted trial was conducted towards 30 students on grade XI MIA-1 in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Jombang. Achieving effectiveness is viewed from skills aspect, skills aspect in this research is science process skill, using pre-test and post-test. Based on the pre-test and post-test analysis, it shows that the students science process skill is increasing. As for practical aspect, it was obtained by the students response questionnaire. Based on questionnaire analysis, it is known that the students response towards the teaching aid was positive and learning engagement was very good hence it can be stated that the developed teaching aid is worth to use from practical aspect. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LEARNING CYCLE MODEL IN ENERGY TOPIC AT SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 2 LAMONGANAndika Habibatul Husna, Dra. Titin Sunarti, M.SiPhysics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, The Surabaya State UniversityEmail: andikahabibatulh@gmail.com Abstract Based on Law Number 20 Year 2003 on National Education System 1 point 1 explains that the ideal learning in Indonesia should be able to make the students play an active role in the process of improving human quality. One model that can be applied to meet these demands is the learning cycle model (LC). The LC model was first popularized by Robert Karplus. Based on Bybee and colleagues in 1996 in the Sciense Curriculum Improvement Study (SCIS), LC is one of the learning models using constructivism approach. LC consists of 5 syntaxes, namely: (i) engagement, (ii) exploration, explanation, elaboration and evaluation. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of LC model in Energy material in SMAN 2 Lamongan. The type of this research is experimental research. The object of this research is determined by using random sampling technique and the research instrument used is the learning activity sheet. The implementation of the LC model is observed by the observer by scoring on the instructional learning sheet and evidenced by the video recording when the learning takes place. The result of this research is almost all the components in the observation sheet of learning implementation. The implementation of learning with LC learning cycle model is very good (LC syntax implemented) at the first meeting and second meeting. The implementation of syntax is shown by the high performance value at the first meeting, which is 88.96% and the second meeting is 89.65%. The results of video analysis also support the performance values ??provided by the observer. Keywords: Learning cycle, learning activities, implementation

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan teknik mind mapping, mendeskripsikan peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik setelah diterapkan teknik mind mapping, dan mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar peserta didik setelah diterapkan teknik mind mapping. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experimental design berupa non equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Boyolangu. Sampel yang diambil kelas XI IPA 7 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 8 sebagai kelas kontrol. Variabel penelitian ini meliputi variabel bebas yaitu teknik mind mapping, variabel respon yaitu keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran, peningkatan pemahaman konsep, dan motivasi belajar, serta variabel kontrol yaitu guru, materi ajar, dan alokasi waktu pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji-t dua pihak, uji-t satu pihak, dan uji n-gain score. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil pemahaman konsep antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Pemahaman konsep kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari pemahaman konsep kelas kontrol dan peningkatan pemahaman konsep pada kelas eksperimen setelah diberi teknik mind mapping termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan teknik mind mapping termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Motivasi belajar peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen setelah diberi teknik mind mapping termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Kata Kunci: Mind mapping, pemahaman konsep, motivasi belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri dilengkapi lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre experimental dengan desain penerapan one grup pretest and posttest. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas X MIA 5 dan dua kelas replikasi yaitu kelas X MIA 6 dan X MIA 7. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Tekhnik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, analisis penilaian hasil tes menggunakan uji-t berpasangan dan n-gain, analisis penilaian proses, dan analisis angket respons. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri dilengkapi LKPD terlaksana dengan sangat baik, (2) keterampilan proses sains peserta didik mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dengan nilai n-gain cenderung tinggi, (3) respons peserta didik terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri dilengkapi LKPD berkategori baik dengan persentase sebesar 78% sampai 83%. Berdasarkan hasil-hasil di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri dilengkapi LKPD dapat melatihkan keterampilan proses sains.
