Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe the results of implementation problem based learning. The study was pre-experimental design by using one group pre-test and post-test design. The participants included students from grade X MIA 6 as experimental class, X MIA 7 and X MIA 8 as replications class. Data was collected by observation and test. Data was analyzed using learning activities analysis, assessment of test result analysis with descriptive analysis, paired t-test, n-gain score and correlation analysis. The result showed that: (1) the implementation of problem based learning carried out very well, (2) students? formal reasoning ability improved from initial formal level towards formal level, (3) students? problem solving ability improved significantly with n-gain score which categorized as moderate level, (4) the correlation between students? formal reasoning and problem solving ability was in moderate positive correlation. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the implementation of problem based learning can improve students? formal reasoning and physics problem solving.

Abstract

Abstract Student?s critical thinking skills are important skills in learning. Indicators of critical thinking in this study consisted of four indicators. The result of observation in SMAN 1 Gedangan shows only one critical thinking indicator has been reached is an indicator interpretation. Therefore, the research was related the application of guided discovery learning to describe the implementation of learning, improved critical thinking skill, and the response of students to stationary wave. This research used experimental method with pre-experimental design and type of this research is one group pre-test post-test design using one experiment class and two replication class. The implementation of the three class observed from the teacher activity was stated to be very well executed. Based on the analysis of n-gain, critical thinking skills in the experimental class and the replication class 2 increased with medium category. The learning process get positive response from the students with very good category. The critical thinking skill that gets the lowest increase is the interpretation. Overall learning by applying the guided discovery model can improve critical thinking skills of students. Keywords: guided discovery learning, critical thinking skill, stationary wave

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan lembar kerja peserta didik pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan NAAP Planetary Orbit Simulator yang valid, praktis dan efektif sehingga layak untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains pada materi keteraturan gerak planet dalam tata surya di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan model 4D. Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik yang dikembangkan telah diujikan kepada 29 peserta didik kelas X IPA 4 di SMA Negeri 1 Kamal. Data penelitian didapat melalui metode validasi, observasi, tes, dan angket. Hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Keterampilan proses sains peserta didik dan tes aspek pengetahuan dianalisis menggunakan N-gain. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa (a) LKPD yang dikembangkan dikategorikan sangat valid, (b) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran kategori sangat baik, (c) aktivitas peserta didik dalam kategori aktif dengan persentase aktivitas yang tinggi yaitu 81,90% dengan kategori aktivitas yang tinggi, (d) keterampilan proses sains n-gain dalam kategori sedang, yaitu 0,67 (e) hasil tes aspek pengetahuan mendapat n-gain yang tergolong tinggi yaitu 0,77 (f) persentase respon peserta didik sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa Lembar Kerja Pesera Didik berbasis inkuiri terbimbing penunjang media virtual NAAP Planetary Orbit Simulator layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan lembar kerja peserta didik pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan NAAP Planetary Orbit Simulator yang valid, praktis dan efektif sehingga layak untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains pada materi keteraturan gerak planet dalam tata surya di SMA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian one group pretest posttest design. Subjek penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2 dan XI MIPA 3 di SMAN 1 Arosbaya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu metode pengamatan, tes dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD berbasis SAVI pada kategori sangat baik; 2) dengan penerapan model pembelajaran ini setiap siswa memiliki persentase aktivitas dominan pada setiap gaya belajarnya; 3) peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada ketiga kelas termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Berdasarkan analisis uji t berpasangan diketahui bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan pada ketiga kelas; dan 4) siswa memberikan respon yang sangat baik dalam penerapan model pembelajaran ini. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran, hasil belajar peserta didik serta respon peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran dengan model guided discovery. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Rengel Tuban yang berjumlah lima kelas. Sampel penelitian ditentukan atas rekomendasi guru dan diperoleh kelas X MIA 1, X MIA 2 dan X MIA 3 yang berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran guided discovery pada materi getaran harmonis sederhana terlaksana dengan sangat baik. Hasil belajar peserta didik pada aspek pengetahuan di kelas X MIA 1, X MIA 2 serta X MIA 3 meningkat dengan kategori tinggi, sedangkan pada aspek keterampilan semua peserta didik tuntas. Pembelajaran guided discovery memperoleh respon yang sangat baik dari peserta didik.

Abstract

This research reported the work on the implementation of performance assessment (PS) in sub material string wave reflection in senior high school using guided inquiry learning model. The aims were to train student?s science process skills and to collect the student?s response on the learning activities. The examined science process skills are as follows: how the students to formulate an experimental question, to determine the experimental goal, to formulate hypotheses, to determine the experimental variables, to administrate the data and analyzing it and to draw conclusion. The research was designed to be one group pre-test post-test. The teaching learning materials were validated before being used. The student?s activities on the class and their science process skills were recorded by video before being evaluated. The research data were analyzed by learning device analysis, implementation learning analysis, pre-test and post-test analysis, interview analysis and student response analysis. The change of students science process skills were analyzed by t-paired test. The results showed that: (1) the students?s science process skills improved. For the example, the students can formulate that experiment questions. (2) The question of ?what the difference between the reflected string wave at the tight and the loose strings??, (3) the students responses to the learning activities were also very good. The students felt happy, they were more active, more motivated to learn, braver to express their opinions and they felt that their science process skills were trained. Abstract

One of the way to improve students science competence is by applying inqury learning. Alternative levels of inquiry that can be applied into classroom is guided inquiry laboratory. Laboratory activity can improve process skill, scientific thinking, and problem solving. This research was conducted with aim to describe the validity and effectivity of guided inquiry laboratory worksheet in term of global warming material to improve problem solving skill. Before worksheet was implemented, the worksheet must be scored by validator. The worksheet is valid, if validator give good score in term of content and construct validity items. Worksheet is effective when the n-gain score greater than 0.3 and students giving a good respons after worked their worksheet. This research is development research by using ADDIE model. The result of worksheet validation by two validator is very valid and it can be used in implementation phase. Worksheet was implemented to 31 student grade XI in SMA Negeri 1 Taman, Sidoarjo to know the effectivity. Pre-test and post-test score were obtained in implementation phase. Students performance was good while doing post-test. Students can reach every problem solving skill indicator after they worked on their worksheet. The average of student n-gain score is 0.77 and it categorized in high category. This result show that there was an improvement in student problem solving skill. Student response questionnaire was distributed at the end of learning process. Student response to worksheet shows the excecllent result. So, the guided inqury laboratory student worksheet to improve problem solving skill is effective. Keywords: guided inquiry laboratory, worksheet, problem solving skill.

Abstract

Guided inquiry learning model with laboratory activities is one of the learning model that facilitates students to do the discovery in guidance. The results of interviews in 1 Manyar Senior High School showed that 50% students got low score under the minimum mastery criteria especially on the subject of global warming symptoms in which one of the factors is caused by the lack of activity in the form of invention. Based on that, the researcher applied guided inquiry learning model by using virtual laboratory to improve the students? process skill. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of learning model by using virtual laboratoirum to improve students science process skills and to describe the students? responses on the material of global warming symptoms. This research used quantitative research type with pre-experimental research design by using one group pretesst-posttest design with one experiment class and two replication classes. The data collection methods used were observation, test, and questionnaire. The data that was obtained in the form of pretest and posttest result were analyzed by using normality test, homogeneity test, t-test and normalized gain test. The results of the research are: a) the learning implementation in the three classes observed from the teachers activities was well executed; b) based on gain analysis, students science process skills on the material of global warming symptoms after using the virtual laboratories increased significantly; c) the learning got positive responses from the students with very good category. Based on that, it can be concluded that the application of virtual laboratory can improve the students science process skill. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan kelayakan ditinjau dari aspek kevalidan, keefektifan, dan kepraktisan alat peraga sub materi perpindahan kalor secara radiasi untuk menunjang pembelajaran fisika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan model ADDIE.Tahapan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis (analysis), desain (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Pada uji coba menggunakan desain penelitian one group pre-test post-test design dengan 1 kelas eksperimen dan 2 kelas replikasi. Kelayakan alat peraga ditinjau dari aspek validitas, keefektifan, dan kepraktisan. Kelayakan alat peraga ditinjau dari aspek validitas mendapatkan hasil penilaian validator sebesar 93,33% dengan interpretasi sangat valid. kelayakan dari aspek keefektifan ditinjau dari ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik di tiga kelas secara berturut-turut adalah 100%,91,67%, dan 97,22% dengan interpretasi sangat baik. Kelayakan alat peraga dari aspek kepraktisan ditinjau dari respon peserta didik di tiga kelas yang mendapatkan respon positif sebesar 98,26%, 95,26%, dan 97,22% bengan interpretasi sangat praktis. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat peraga sub materi perpindahan kalor secara radiasi yang dikembangkan ini telah layak digunakan sebagai penunjang kegiatan pembelajaran fisika. Kata Kunci : pengembangan alat peraga, media pembelajaran, perpindahan kalor secara radiasi.
