Abstract

Islamic banks are expected to achieve financial sustainability while maintaining compliance with Sharia principles. Therefore, evaluating Islamic banking performance requires an integrated approach that considers both financial and Sharia dimensions. This study aims to evaluate the performance of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) using the Sharia Conformity and Profitability (SCnP) model and analyze its implications for profit distribution during 2021–2025. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed using secondary data obtained from BSI Annual Reports. The analysis calculated the Islamic Income Ratio (IIR), Islamic Investment Ratio (IInvR), Profit Sharing Ratio (PSR), and Return on Assets (ROA), which were integrated into the SCnP framework. The findings indicate consistent growth in total assets, net profit, and profit distribution throughout the observation period. The Islamic Income Ratio remained above 80%, while the Profit Sharing Ratio increased from 36.13% in 2021 to 45.29% in 2025, indicating stronger implementation of Sharia-based financing. The SCnP results demonstrate that BSI maintained high Sharia conformity and profitability, reflecting balanced financial performance and compliance with Islamic principles. These findings suggest that stronger profitability and Sharia conformity support sustainable profit distribution. This study highlights the usefulness of the SCnP model for comprehensively evaluating Islamic banking performance and supporting sustainable Sharia-compliant banking practices.

Abstract

YouTube is one of the digital streaming platforms with the largest user base in the world. This makes it one of the most effective digital media platforms for distributing information. However, with the large number of creators today, competition has become increasingly fierce, making Search Engine Optimization (SEO) a key strategy for boosting the visibility of video content. This study was conducted to determine the extent to which the implementation of SEO affects the performance and engagement of the YouTube video content on the Adainfo.Official channel. A quantitative descriptive method was used in this study, employing a pre-experimental design of the One-Group Pretest-Posttest type and a case study approach. Direct observation using YouTube Analytics was used to collect data, and purposive sampling was applied to three video samples before and after SEO implementation. The indicators analyzed were impressions, views, CTR, and engagement rate. The results indicate that SEO strategies improve several video content performance metrics. Impressions increased by 240.6%, views increased by 503.1%, and CTR increased by 206.3%. However, there was a 93.4% decrease in the Engagement Rate (ER) indicator. This indicates that the results of SEO implementation have a positive impact on improving the visibility and reach of video content, but have not yet had a significant effect on increasing audience engagement.

Abstract

As one of the world's leading tourism destinations, Bali faces increasing environmental pressures resulting from rapid tourism development. In response, many hotels have adopted green practices to support sustainable tourism; however, the implementation of such initiatives remains uneven across the hospitality sector. This study explores how green practices are implemented within Bali's hotel industry and examines the challenges faced by hotel operators in maintaining sustainability initiatives. A qualitative research approach was employed using semi-structured interviews with four hotel representatives, including managers from both eco-certified and non-eco-certified hotels in Bali. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns and key themes related to sustainability implementation and operational challenges. The findings reveal significant variation in the adoption of green practices among hotels, with common initiatives including waste reduction programs, energy conservation measures, water-saving practices, and efforts to reduce single-use plastics. Hotel operators reported several barriers to effective implementation, including high operational costs, limited technical support, inconsistent government enforcement, and varying levels of environmental awareness among tourists. The findings also indicate differences in sustainability expectations between domestic and international tourists, with international visitors generally demonstrating stronger environmental awareness. In addition, participants highlighted the importance of transparent sustainability communication and the growing role of social media in shaping tourists' perceptions of environmentally responsible accommodation. This study contributes to the sustainable tourism literature by providing industry-based insights into the practical realities of implementing green initiatives in Bali's hospitality sector.

Abstract

The phenomenon of climate change that impacts environmental issues triggers organizations globally to strengthen environmental protection as result of their business activities. In motivating environmental protection actions, the contribution of empowered employees in their environmentally friendly practices is inseparable. This study aims to explore the relationship between organizational encouragement of Top Management Green Commitment (TMGC) and Green Transformational Leadership (GTL) on the management of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) so that it has implications for Green Employee Empowerment (GEE). Data collection in this study was designed using a survey method by distributing online questionnaires to 480 respondents working in the digital industry and startup companies. Research responses were taken using a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling approach. This research is quantitative with data processing of relationships between variables using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) method. The study found that GTL and GHRM have a significant influence on GEE behavior. This study also confirmed the relationship between TMGC and GHRM practices does not significantly affect GHRM practices. This shows that top management commitment alone without any examples and real actions is not enough to influence individual behavior to play an active role in implementing sustainability within the organization.

Abstract

Unstructured inventory management can lead to recording errors, disorganized data, and difficulties in determining replenishment schedules and priorities. This issue occurred at CV. Sahabat Tani Berkah, where inventory management was still conducted manually. This study aimed to design and implement a web-based inventory management information system to support structured inventory recording, determine reorder timing, and prioritize stock replenishment. The system applied the Reorder Point (ROP) method to calculate reorder timing based on demand, lead time, and safety stock, while the Rule-Based System (RBS) method was used to determine replenishment priorities according to stock conditions and demand levels. The system was developed using the Waterfall methodology, consisting of analysis, design, implementation, and testing phases. Data were collected through observation and interviews, and the application was built using the Laravel framework. The results indicate that the system can manage incoming and outgoing inventory data in a structured manner, automatically calculate ROP and safety stock values, and classify replenishment priorities into high, medium, and low categories. Consequently, the system helps reduce the risks of stockouts and overstocking while improving the effectiveness of inventory management and replenishment decision-making.

Abstract

Flood disasters continue to pose significant challenges to urban resilience in Makassar City, Indonesia, highlighting the urgent need for effective digital disaster risk communication. Despite the increasing use of digital platforms for disseminating disaster information, communication remains hindered by fragmented information, limited digital access, inadequate inter-agency coordination, and diverse levels of public digital literacy. This study aims to examine strategies for optimizing digital disaster risk communication to strengthen flood disaster resilience in Makassar City. A mixed qualitative design integrating bibliometric analysis and qualitative inquiry was employed. The bibliometric analysis was conducted to identify global research trends, conceptual structures, and collaboration networks related to disaster risk communication, while empirical data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, documentation, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) involving government agencies, disaster management institutions, communication authorities, environmental experts, and community representatives. Qualitative data were analyzed using NVivo 12 Plus through thematic coding and data triangulation. The bibliometric findings indicate that risk communication, community resilience, social media, and disaster risk reduction are dominant themes in global research. Meanwhile, the qualitative findings reveal that Makassar has adopted digital communication platforms for disaster management; however, their effectiveness remains limited due to fragmented communication systems, weak institutional coordination, and unequal digital access. Integrating the bibliometric evidence with the qualitative findings demonstrates that strengthening disaster resilience requires an integrated digital communication ecosystem supported by collaborative governance, interoperable information systems, enhanced digital literacy, and active community participation. This study contributes to disaster governance by proposing a comprehensive framework to optimize digital disaster risk communication in urban flood management.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital public services has transformed the way governments interact with citizens. However, digitalization does not automatically improve public service effectiveness, as citizens may still encounter administrative burdens that hinder service accessibility and reduce trust in public institutions. This study examines the effect of Administrative Burden on Public Service Effectiveness through the mediating role of Citizen Trust in the context of digital public services provided by the Makassar City Government, Indonesia. A quantitative explanatory design was employed using data collected from citizens who had utilized digital public services. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), complemented by PLS-Predict and Importance–Performance Map Analysis (IPMA). The results reveal that Administrative Burden significantly influences Citizen Trust (β = 0.599, p < 0.001), while Citizen Trust has a strong positive effect on Public Service Effectiveness (β = 0.703, p < 0.001). Furthermore, Citizen Trust significantly mediates the relationship between Administrative Burden and Public Service Effectiveness (β = 0.422, p < 0.001). PLS-Predict indicates moderate predictive power, confirming the model's ability to predict out-of-sample observations. IPMA further identifies Citizen Trust as the most important leverage factor for improving Public Service Effectiveness, exceeding the contribution of Administrative Burden. The study extends Administrative Burden Theory into the context of digital local government services by demonstrating that administrative simplification enhances public service effectiveness primarily through strengthening citizen trust. These findings suggest that digital public service reform should prioritize reducing administrative friction while simultaneously fostering transparency, procedural fairness, responsiveness, and institutional trust to achieve sustainable improvements in public service effectiveness.
