Abstract

This study aims to analyze personal selling strategies in increasing new student admissions at STIKes Abdi Nusantara using a qualitative approach through data collection techniques consisting of interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings indicate that personal selling strategies are implemented through various approaches, such as school visits, communication via WhatsApp, participation in campus fairs, and the involvement of lecturers, staff, active students, and alumni, which create two-way communication and build emotional closeness with prospective students. This strategy has a positive impact on increasing the number of applicants, supported by the responsiveness of the promotional team, the appropriate use of media, and alumni testimonials. Although several obstacles were identified, including limited promotional personnel and low initial responses from prospective students, the institution was able to adapt its strategies effectively. Therefore, personal selling is considered an effective and relevant promotional strategy in higher education marketing.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which flash sales and free shipping vouchers influence purchasing decisions in Shopee e-commerce. This research employed a quantitative approach using a questionnaire distribution method. The population consisted of 99 Shopee users who had conducted purchasing transactions through the application. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis produced the equation: Y = 12.197 + 0.760(X1) + 0.447(X2). The hypothesis testing results indicate that flash sales and free shipping vouchers significantly affect purchasing decisions, with a significance value of Sig < 0.001 < 0.05, therefore H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The coefficient of determination value (Adjusted R Square) was 0.614, indicating that the variables of flash sales and free shipping vouchers explain 61.4% of the variation in purchasing decisions on Shopee e-commerce, while the remaining 38.6% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI), digital technology, and agentic automation are transforming business, employment, and higher education. Based on Abdul Latif Abdul Rahman's IC-BESTS 2026 material and supported by recent Scopus-indexed literature, this conceptual article examines how higher education should prepare Generation Z for an AI-intensive labor market. The study uses a qualitative conceptual review by synthesizing presentation themes on Southeast Asian AI adoption, agentic AI, skill transformation, operational risks, and higher education strategy with academic studies on AI in education, AI literacy, ethics, assessment, and digital pedagogy. The findings indicate that higher education institutions must shift from producing graduates for routine clerical work to developing AI-fluent orchestrators who can prompt, critique, integrate, govern, and ethically collaborate with AI systems. The article proposes a four-pillar strategic blueprint: democratizing AI fluency across all faculties, redesigning learning workflows, elevating digital governance and ethics, and reforming traditional academic assessment. The implication is that universities must move beyond tool adoption toward curriculum-wide transformation aligned with industry, government, and social needs.

Abstract

This article examines work and education opportunities in Türkiye within the context of Indonesia-Türkiye strategic partnership. It is developed from Nurullah's presentation material that highlights more than 75 years of diplomatic relations, Türkiye's strategic location, priority investment sectors, higher education ecosystem, and future-oriented technology careers. Using a qualitative conceptual review approach, the article synthesizes the presentation content with previous Scopus-indexed studies on higher education internationalization, employability, innovation systems, and future work. The discussion shows that Türkiye offers strategic value for Indonesian students, universities, entrepreneurs, and policy actors through quality education, international student mobility, investment opportunities, technology-driven sectors, and university-industry collaboration. The article argues that Indonesia-Türkiye cooperation should move beyond symbolic diplomacy toward structured academic mobility, joint research, internship pathways, entrepreneurship programs, and future-skills development. The implication is that higher education institutions need to position international cooperation as a bridge between education, employment, innovation, and sustainable development.

Abstract

This article examines strategic leadership in the age of artificial intelligence by emphasizing the need to balance machine intelligence with human insight. Drawing from Halima Idris's conference material and supported by contemporary literature on digital leadership, AI governance, ethics, and organizational transformation, the article argues that AI strengthens leadership through evidence-based decision-making, forecasting, fraud detection, educational innovation, healthcare support, and improved governance. However, AI cannot replace human qualities such as ethical judgment, empathy, accountability, cultural understanding, integrity, and wisdom. The study employs a conceptual literature-based method to synthesize key ideas on AI-enabled leadership and responsible decision-making. The discussion shows that effective leaders should use AI as a decision-support instrument while retaining responsibility for final decisions and social consequences. The article recommends that governments develop responsible AI policies, universities integrate AI literacy with ethics and critical thinking, and organizations build transparent AI practices while reskilling their workforce. The article concludes that sustainable development in the AI era requires hybrid leaders who combine technological competence with human values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Family Hope Program (Program Keluarga Harapan/PKH) in improving access to healthcare services for the elderly in Glagahsari Village, Sukorejo District, Pasuruan Regency, and to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. Program effectiveness was examined using William N. Dunn’s framework, covering goal attainment, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and appropriateness, integrated with Nunes’s perspective on healthcare access. The findings indicate that PKH has effectively improved elderly access to healthcare services, although its implementation is not yet fully optimal. Supporting factors include the roles of PKH social facilitators, families, village government, healthcare workers, Integrated Health Post cadres, and cross-sector coordination. Inhibiting factors include physical limitations, chronic illnesses, transportation constraints, dependence on family support, administrative barriers, and limited health awareness among some elderly beneficiaries. Strengthening cross-sector coordination, social assistance, and adaptive healthcare services is therefore necessary to optimize the program.

Abstract

The increasing use of cosmetic products among Indonesian migrant workers enrolled in beauty training has highlighted concerns about limited awareness of hazardous ingredients and insufficient safety skills, particularly in managing toxic substances and cosmetic packaging waste. This study investigated the effects of hazardous cosmetic material literacy and guideline book utilization on cosmetic safety competence among 30 Indonesian migrant trainees at the Gayantri Training Center in Singapore. Participants received structured instruction supported by a practical guideline covering hazard identification, safe handling, storage, and environmentally responsible waste management. A quantitative associative design was employed, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression at an α = 5% significance level. The resulting equation was (Y = 12.457 + 0.428X1 + 0.391X2 + e). Hazardous cosmetic material literacy significantly predicted safety competence (t = 3.842, p = 0.001), indicating that stronger knowledge improved participants’ ability to recognize and manage hazardous cosmetic substances. Guideline book utilization also had a significant effect (t = 3.516, p = 0.002). Collectively, both variables significantly influenced cosmetic safety competence (F = 24.638, p = 0.001) and explained 64.7% of its variance (R2 = 0.647). These findings demonstrate that literacy-based training and practical guidance can strengthen safe, professional, and environmentally responsible cosmetic practices
