Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of the magnetic anomaly distribution of minerals from the subsurface and to identify the composition of rock samples and surface morphology in the geothermal area of Makula Village using the SEM-EDS (Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy) method. Based on direct observation, the highest temperature obtained from the geothermal area of Makula Village is 43,6oC. The geothermal area of Makula Village Tana Toraja has the characteristics of various magnetic anomaly values ranging from -340,5 nT up to 1015,8 nT. The results of the A and B cross-section modeling using the Oasis software show that the structure of the rocks below the surface to the maximum depth, obtained some form of anomalous bodies namely, calcite, clay, coal, andesite breccia, basalt, and granite. The SEM-EDS test results show that the microstructure of rock samples is generally irregularly shaped with varying sizes and dominated by magnesium and silicon.

Abstract

Acidic acid water (ATT) is a waste water formed from a series of chemical reactions and biological activity during and after exploitation of open-air coal. Coal containing sulphide in the presence of oxygen and water is oxidized to form sulfuric acid to have a pH <4. This condition facilitates the solubility of Fe and Mn. As a result, AAT becomes a great potential as environmental polluters. This study aims to determine the efficiency of Fe and Mn removal at AAT. The method used is phytoremediation by usingwater hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) and purun tikus (Eleocharis dulcis) on artificial wetland system (LBB). The treatment was carried out for 25 days with a flow rate of 5 m3 / day. Measurements and sampling are done every 5 days. Measurements of Fe andMn concentrations using ICP-OES. The results of the analysis show that LBB is only able to increase the pH from 3.20 to 5.31. Water hyacinth and purple mice were able to accumulate Fe and Mn with the highest Bioconcentrate (FBK) factor for Fe, respectively of 1701,12 and 1010,86 and for Mn respectively of 1,12 and 1,45, Phytoremediation Index (IFR ) or LBB performance efficiency in excluding Fe and Mn respectively between (87,11-95,28)% and (70,08 -79,84)%. These results indicate that both of these plantscan be considered for use in longer-term AAT processing in larger LBBs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the metal oxide content of natural zeolite before being activated and after being activated. The activator used was hydrochloric acid6 M. Analysis of metal oxide content was carried out using the X-Ray Fluoresence (XRF) instrument. The results showed that there was a decrease in impurity levels after the zeolite was activated by acid. The content of Al2O3; SiO2; K2O and CaObefore activation were 2.15%; 86.34%; 4.32%; and 2.54% respectively, while after activation were 2.11%; 86.40%; 4.56%; and 2.78%respectively. The content of other metal oxides (impurity) generally decreases in levels after the zeolite is activated.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology leads to an increase in battery demand, one of which is lithium ion batteries. Lithium batteries have flammable liquid electrolytes when electrolyte leaks, and lithium metals in the battery will react with water, producing explosive hydrogen gas. Currently electrolytic solids as battery electrolytes have been widely developed. Chitosan is one type of natural polymerthat has the potential as a solid electrolyte material. The addition of a cation with a low atomic mass such as lithium ions (Li+) inside the polymer membrane enables an efficient charge transfer process. This study is an experimental study aimed at synthesizing a chitosan-based solid electrolyte membrane. The chitosan sample used is chitosan which has deacetylation degree of 98%. The chitosan-LiOH electrolyte membrane was synthesized using blending method with the ratio of chitosan-LiOH concentration of (100: 0), (95: 5), (90:10), (85:15), and (84:16) % w / w . The membrane obtained was characterized by color and thickness, determination of conductivity using LCR meter, and degree of crystallinity analysis with X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) tool. From the resultof the research, clear yellow chitosan-LiOH membrane was obtained with an average thickness of 0.1 mm, with the highest conductivity obtained with the ratio of chitosan-LiOH concentration of (85:15) % w / w.

Abstract

This study aims effectiveness of the NHT learning model applying Student Team Heroic Leadership Strategy mathematics learning outcomes of MTS Matakali students with a population of 80 people, consisting of 4 classes. The sample of this study were 23 people, class VIII A. The results showed that student learning outcomes in mathematics taught by the NHT learning model applying Student Team Heroic Leadership Strategy were in the high category with a classical mastery level reaching 95.65% or there 22 students who scored ≥ 70, as well as the proportion test using a 5% significance level were obtained Ztable = 1.65, meaning H0 was accepted if Zhitung ≤ 1.65. Because Zhitung = 1.36 is obtained, H0 is accepted, meaning that proportion of students who reach the completeness criteria of 70 is more than 85% of all students taking the test. This achievement shows that the expected student activities are fulfilled. Student responses taught NHT learning model applying the Student Team Heroic Leadership Strategy are in the positive category with an average score of student responses reaching 3.76. Thus the NHT learning model by applying the Student Team Heroic Leadership Strategy was declared effective in class VIII of MTs Matakali, Polewali Mandar.

Abstract

Mapping the cave is one effort to document the cave, so the map will be the information for caveman, the caveman will know the form of cave, size, ornaments that adorn, far from before entering the cave.This research aims to know the morphometry of Kallibong Alloa cave Karst Pangkep area. This research uses descriptive research type and data collection is done by observation technique, documentation, field measurement with high variable of cave roof, cave alley width, cave length, cave alley direction, caveslope, and cave ornament. The data obtained in the form of morphometry map of Kalibbong Aloa Cave is processed using Compass Cave and Corel DrawX7 software. The results showed that Kalibbong Aloa Cave has a length of 340.52 meters with entrance (cave mouth) which leads to 85 ° (east) which measuring 7.1 meters wide and 3 meter high, 9.00 ° slope average. The ornaments that found are stalactites, stalagmite, flowstone, pearl, helectit, pillars, and curtains.

Abstract

Preliminary research on CuAl2O4 particle size analysis was conducted to determine the probability of synthesizing these nanoparticles in water system by using the sol-gel technique. Precursors materials which have been used i.e Copper nitrate, aluminium nitrate, and citric acid. This technique starts from the precursor complex, and involves the formation of homogeneous stable intermediates. The structure of CuAl2O4 nanoparticle occurred when all precursors were calcinated at 700 °C at the furnace for an hour. The product was characterized by using X-ray diffraction method. The particle size was measured by Scherrer Law's and it showed to be 9,56 nm.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences of critical thinking skills and motivation to learn through the assignment of structured and independent tasks on students of class VIII-9 and VIII-10 MTsN 2 Makassar On Motion System Material In Humans. The design of this research is experimental research (quasi experiment). Population and sample are students of class VIII-9 and VIII-10 MTsN 2 Makassar Lesson 2017-2018. Data collected in the form of critical thinking skills tests and motivation test learning. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and inferentially by describing the mean, standard deviation, and percentage whereas the inferential analysis was used to test the hypothesis through t-test and before the first t-test was tested normality test and homogeneity of variance. The result of the research shows that there is significant difference of critical thinking ability between experimental class of structured task and experimental class of independent duty, as evidenced by the data tcount (5,31).Where based on the test criteria it can be said that H0is rejected because the value of t count is greater than the value of ttable(1.67). There is a difference in learning motivation between the experimental class of structured tasks and the experimental class of independent tasks, as evidenced by the value of learning motivation of structured task (3.37) lower than the self-learning task motivation (3.54), and tcount(1.70). Where based on the test criteria it can be said that H0is rejected because the value of t count is greater than the value of ttable(1.67).

Abstract

This research aims to determine the comparison of student’s biological problem-solving skill that learned problem-based learning model with direct instructions model on biology subjects the concept of growth and development of plant. This research used a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. This research samples is student of SMAN 12 Luwu class XII IPA selected by random sampling. Data analyzed by ancova test. Data analysis result show value p ≤ α 0,05 (p=0,010) indicating that there are difference of biological problem-solving skill which learned with PBL model and direct instruction model. Result of student’s biological problem-solving skill which learned with PBL model higher compared with learned use direct instruction model. The use of problem-based learning model on the learning activity needed to suitability with the study until learning more effective.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to develop a learning model based on the used Taksi Bekas Bimbel.in the form of valid and practical learning tools, 2) to obtain information about the learning outcomes of physics learning after applying the used Taksi Bekas Bimbelmodel and (3) to obtain information on the effectiveness of the learning based learning model Taksi Bekas Bimbel. This research is a research and development study which refers to the four D model (4-D model). Testing the device using a single case study. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2Pangkajene, Pangkajene Regency with the research subjects in class XI Pascal with 23 students who were taken randomly. Data collection was carried out through observation and learning outcome tests, then the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results showed that the learning tools developed through the needs analysis stage, the design stage as well as the development and test stages in the form of student books, student worksheets (LKPD), learning implementation plans (RPP) and learning outcomes tests (THB) were declared valid and effective so that suitable for use in learning physics. Meanwhile, student learning outcomes have achieved classical mastery where prior to the implementation of the Taksi Bekas Bimbel. learning the learning outcomes had not yet reached classical completeness. Thus the learning model based on Taksi Bekas Bimbelmodel can improve student learning outcomes or is very effective in learning physics.
