Abstract

The aims of this study was to build a SEIR model on Covid-19 transmission, to find out the analysis and simulation of the SEIR mathematical model for the prevention of Covid-19 transmission and to determine the effectiveness of the application of the 3M health protocol recovered Covid-19 from January 2021 to April 2021. The results shown that the SEIR model can be used to prevent transmission of Covid-19. The results of the analysis of the SEIR model shown that the basic reproduction number 푹ퟎ<1for the three simulations with the presentation of the application of the 3M health protocol were 10%, 50% and 90%, respectively. Meanwhile, the simulation results of the model shown that the higher the 3M application presentation, the smaller the value of the basic reproduction number. This shown that the implementation of the 3M health protocol against Covid-19transmission in Makassar City is effective, because it is able to minimize the rate of increase in the number of Covid-19 cases. This can be a reference for the Makassar City Government so that the application of 3M continues to be carried out to break the chain ofCovid-19spreadingin Makassar.

Abstract

ndonesia is a country with the third-highest prevalence of stunting in the Southeast Asian region. South Sulawesi Province, one of the provinces in Indonesia, has a fairly high number of stunting cases. The implementation of the Bayesian Spatial Conditional Autoregressive (CAR) model in estimating the relative risk (RR) of stunting cases has not been carried out in Indonesia, especially in South Sulawesi Province. This study aims to determine the relative risk of stunting cases by using the Bayesian spatial CAR Leroux model and to build a thematic map of the relative risk of stunting cases in all districts/cities in South Sulawesi Province. The results show that the Bayesian spatial CAR Leroux model with hyperprior IG(0.5; 0.0005) is the best model based on the criteria used. Toraja district, Parepare City, and Enrekang district are the three districts/cities with the highest relative risk of stunting. On the other hand, Gowa district, Makassar City, and Pinrang district are the three regions with the lowest relative risk of stunting.

Abstract

Activated carbon is a cheap carbon material with high specific surface area, porosity, and electrical conductivity. This fact makes the various applications of activated carbon as an adsorbent, water treatment, and energy sector. Activated carbon dispersion studies facilitate the application of activated carbon as a primary material in the design of electrodes in fuel cells and batteries. In this study, dispersion studies of activated carbon were carried out in an aqueous system using surface active agents (surfactants) Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide (CTAB), Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS), and Polysorbate 80 (Tween 80). The ratio of activated carbon to surfactants varies from 1:0–1:5 for each surfactant. The UV-Vis spectrophotometer measurements at a wavelength of 200–500 nm showed that Tween 80 surfactant with a 0,05 g activated carbon with 3 mL Tween 80 could disperse activated carbon in water solvents better than CTAB and SDS.

Abstract

Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). The spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia has grown rapidly that the World Health Organization has declared Covid-19 a pandemic. Covid-19 cases have spread to 34 provinces in Indonesia. Covid-19 data in Indonesia involves space and time so the appropriate modeling is the space-time model. Space-time modeling of the Covid-19 cases in Indonesia using the Generalized Space-Time Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (GSTARIMA) model has not been carried out. The purpose of this research is to get the best GSTARIMA model and forecast the Covid-19 cases for the next several times. This model incorporates time and location interdependence with different parameters for each location. Identification of the order of the AR and MA used the STACF and STPACF plots. For simplicity of interpretation, the spatial order is chosen first order. In this study, the queen contiguity and the inverse distance location weighting matrix were used. The parameter estimation used is Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The results show that the best model for predicting Covid-19 cases in 34 provinces in Indonesia is the GSTARIMA model (1,1,0)1 using an inverse distance weighting matrix with the smallest RMSE value of 1.22.

Abstract

Chemical fertilizer is a mixture of chemical compounds which provide for the needs of chemical elements and nutrients in plants (Chauhan et al., 2013). One example rather than chemical fertilizer that is widely used as a fertilizer phosphate. Phosphate rock is the starting material for the production of all products are the main source of phosphate and phosphate fertilizers (Roselli et al., 2010).Natural uranium in phosphate rock has the properties can replace the position of calcium, resulting in a certain time will accumulate uranium in fertilizers. the existence of uranium in phosphates depending on levels of uranium in phosphate rock (Indri et al., 2006). In the manufacture of phosphate fertilizers, many radionuclides come into the fertilizer, so fertilizer spreading into the environment and become NORM radioactive sources (Rehman et al., 2006). This study was conducted to determine the radioactive material (NORM) in the chemical fertilizer in Indonesia using gamma ray spectrometry. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the six types of samples of fertilizers namely Urea, ZA, KCL, NPK, TSP and Phosphate has a content of natural radioactive materials (NORM).
