Abstract

Regional development will be closely tied to the pattern of community activities in carrying out daily activities. The area will grow rapidly if the area becomes the center of activity for the majority of the community around the area. Activities carried out by the community automatically form an agglomeration area. However, on the other hand, this agglomeration area can be created by building infrastructure networks and activity centers. Based on the search, the term agglomeration area can be interpreted as an urban or district area that is interconnected in a unified region. The characteristics of the Grobogan Regency area differ between the western and eastern regions. The western region has the characteristics of wetland agriculture with technical irrigation, while the eastern region is more dominated by dry land or rain-fed agriculture. For the northern and southern regions, the characteristics are almost the same, namely the hilly region.

Abstract

The area of Grobogan Regency is almost 30% of the district area in the form of Production Forest Area, which is 70,159.73 Ha of the total area of Grobogan Regency of 202,384.92 Ha, and there is at least agricultural land in the Forest Area of 8,664.86 Ha. The forest area in Grobogan Regency, which is quite large, should be managed based on the principle of sustainable forest management (SFM) which includes aspects of production, ecology and social sustainability. Thus, forest management will be able to provide a significant contribution to improving the welfare of the community, especially those around the forest area, without ignoring its economic and ecological functions. Fulfillment of the social aspect of sustainable forest management is a necessity because it will encourage the sustainability of production and ecology. The practical manifestation of fulfilling this social aspect is basically the involvement of the community, especially those around the forest, and other parties in the management or utilization of forests in a just manner. This has actually been realized by the central government, and a series of policies have been issued, especially those related to Social Forestry. The central government has allocated around 12.7 million hectares of areas to be managed and utilized by communities, through the People's Forest, Village Forest, Community Forest, and environmental services approaches as well as Customary Forests

Abstract

The road network has a positive role in economic growth in the short term creating jobs in the construction sector and in the medium and long term it will support increasing the efficiency and productivity of related sectors. This infrastructure is the answer to the needs of Grobogan Regency to encourage economic growth, by helping to overcome poverty, improve the quality of life, support the growth of economic centers and increase the mobility of goods and services and reduce the cost of investment activities. The road network system must be able to support the activity system in the form of spatial planning, increasing accessibility that can spread economic growth evenly. Purwodadi, which has been designated as part of the National Strategic Area (KSN) based on Presidential Regulation (PERPRES) Number 60 of 2022 concerning the Spatial Plan for the National Strategic Area of the Kendal, Demak, Ungaran, Salatiga, Semarang, and Purwodadi Urban Areas, must receive sufficient support for its development. In addition, Grobogan Regency is also a regency that has the highest movement attraction in Central Java. National Transportation Origin Destination Prediction (ATTN) Data 2023 shows that the movement pull (people/year) regionally in Central Java Province, Grobogan is the district with the sixth highest pull after Cilacap and Banyumas. To support the spatial structure/activity system, it is absolutely necessary to have an agreed road network system planning document that can guarantee integration between development centers, an accurate database, and consistent policies. In other words, activity system planning must be supported by a Road/Transportation Network System based on the appropriate road network function and hierarchy. Thus, the preparation and development of the road/transportation network system in Grobogan Regency is expected to support the regional development vision as outlined in the Regional Development Program (Propeda) and Strategic Plan (Renstra).

Abstract

The Gubug Urban Area as a local activity center (PKL) is expected to become a service center for district-scale areas in the western region of Grobogan Regency. With a strategic geographical location because it is adjacent to Semarang City and supported by adequate transportation and other networks, the Gubug Urban Area has developed very rapidly. The existence of transportation hubs such as the Gubug Terminal and Gubug Station has made it easier for the community to support mobility/movement and community activities both regionally and locally. These transportation hubs can be developed into supporting economic activity centers in addition to being public transportation service centers. It is hoped that this development can have a positive impact on progress in the surrounding area. The development of the Gubug Terminal will be directed at transit-oriented development (Transit Oriented Development - TOD) which will combine interactions between transit, commercial and housing activities. The feasibility of the development will be assessed based on its support for macroeconomic and microeconomic conditions. In terms of macroeconomics, the development of the Gubug Terminal will be able to encourage an increase in GRDP, contribute to sectoral growth, and suppress the rate of inflation. From a microeconomic perspective, the development of the terminal as a center of economic activity is considered feasible based on several financial indicators.

Abstract

The basic principle of PAH is to channel rainwater that falls on the roof surface through gutters to be collected into a reservoir tank. Then the overflow of water that comes out of the full reservoir tank is channeled into an infiltration well. The culture of making PAH and SURES has been widely practiced in many countries. Technologically, PAH and SURES are not difficult technologies, the materials and construction can be done by the community itself. If the culture of harvesting rainwater and absorbing overflow water into the ground is socialized, then a number of benefits will be obtained, including: cheap clean water sources, increasing the amount of groundwater reserves and reducing runoff that can prevent an area from puddles and flooding.

Abstract

Experience shows that there is one requirement needed to support the success of economic development in a region. This requirement is the solid understanding of the local government regarding the meaning of indicators and development variables as the basis for planning and evaluating policies taken by the central and regional governments. This adequate understanding will have a positive impact in the form of increasingly focused development implementation (including planning, implementation, supervision, and control activities) and an increasingly high community response in making development a success by trying to contribute to realizing the targeted goals. It is realized that in order to ensure the sustainability of economic development in the long term, it is very important to know the current conditions regarding the overall development of the region's economy as a reference in estimating future economic conditions.

Abstract

It is recognized that in order to ensure the sustainability of economic development in the long term, it is very important to know the potential of regional excellence as a whole as a reference for various policies that are formulated as well as relevant and appropriate programs and activities. Therefore, regional development planning requires accurate and precise data and information about the superior potential of the region. The availability of such data/information is expected to be able to provide a picture of the economic potential of the region so that economic development pattern policies can be determined, both sectorally and multisectorally. Mapping the superior potential of the local economy can be done by identifying the superior potential of the economic sector, this identification can include identification of the sectoral potential of natural resources, human resources, culture, tourism and other sectors.

Abstract

The eruption of Merapi Volcano in 2010 has caused a huge impact, especially for the people who live in five (5) villages, are Kepuharjo, Umbulharjo, Glagaharjo, Wukirsari, and Argomulyo, Cangkringan District, Sleman Regency. Some of the people directly affected have been relocated to Kuwang Hamlet, Argomulyo Village, Cangkringan District. The aims of this paper is to determine the residential preferences of communities directly affected by the 2010 eruption. The method used in this research is field observation with structured interviews with 100 respondents directly affected communities spread across five (5) villages that were most severely affected. The five villages are Kepuharjo, Glagaharjo, Wukirsari, Umbulharjo and Argomulyo. The analytical tool used to determine residential preferences is factor analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that there are at least six (6) main factors that represent the residence preferences of directly affected communities, namely safety from the eruption of Mount Merapi, good social relations in the community, personal attributes (age, length of stay in the area, and education), environmental comfortable housing, convenience of facilities and infrastructure and proximity to the workplace.
