Agricultural activities and their marketing are the driving force of the economy in Grobogan Regency. The potential of the agricultural sector is quite potential with the amount of production that tends to increase from year to year. With the existence of a warehouse receipt system, it will increasingly support and increase the level of need for an Agribusiness Sub Terminal to support community welfare. On the other hand, with the increase in the amount of agricultural production, it is also necessary to think about industries that operate in the agricultural sector to increase the added value of these agricultural products. This can be a booster for increasing the community's economy. Abstract

The diversity and uniqueness of geology provide its own value to become a great geoheritage potential in the Grobogan Regency. This potential is very strategic to support regional development planning through geological resource conservation and development of geology-based tourism sectors integrated in the Geopark concept. Based on the potential of geoheritage in Grobogan Regency, it is necessary to build an integrated management system so that it can support sustainable regional development planning and be developed to improve community welfare. The research methods used are literature studies, surveys and observations, Focus Group Discussions, and interviews. The research was conducted through an inventory of geodiversity which was compiled by highlighting the uniqueness of geology in the form of lithology, geological structure, morphology and morphogenesis. The results of the study indicate that there are 11 main geosites that have the potential to be proposed as geoheritage, namely: 1) Gua Lawa and Gua Macan Sites, 2) Sendang Keongan Site, 3) Gunung Ngajaran and Gunung Watu Putih Sites, 4) Waterfall Widuri Site, 5) Gua Urang, Gua Gajah, and Gua Pawon Sites, 6) Sendang Wangi Site, 7) Bledug Kuwu, Bledug Cangkring, and Bledug Ramesan Site Complex, 8) Ancient Elephant Fossil Site in Banjarejo, 9) Mrapen Eternal Flame Site, 10) Sendang Beluk Site, 11) Jono Geographical Indication Salt Site. The potential of geoheritage in Grobogan Regency supports at least 8 of the 17 sustainable development programs, namely: 1) no poverty, 2) quality education, 3) gender equality, 4) decent work and economic growth, 5) sustainable cities and communities, 6) responsible consumption and production, 7) climate action, 8) partnerships for the goals.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and optimize tourism management in Grobogan Regency through the analysis of tourist reviews on Google Review. A total of 200 reviews from ten popular tourist destinations were analyzed using a text mining approach, involving data preprocessing, bigram and trigram pattern identification, thematic categorization, and sentiment analysis. The findings reveal that the most common complaints concern inadequate infrastructure, limited public facilities, and poor maintenance by tourism managers. Despite the natural appeal of several sites, the lack of supporting infrastructure negatively affects visitor satisfaction. Thematic analysis identified five key issues: cleanliness, accessibility, facilities, services, and ticket pricing. Sentiment analysis results showed that 60% of reviews were positive, 30% negative, and 10% neutral. Based on these insights, the study proposes several strategic recommendations, including infrastructure improvements, local community engagement, and continuous digital evaluation. The study demonstrates that online reviews provide valid and real-time data for assessing tourism performance and can serve as a foundation for evidence-based policy. The implications highlight the importance of collaboration among local governments, tourism stakeholders, and communities to establish adaptive, participatory, and sustainable tourism management practices.

Abstract

Local governments have the authority to manage local resources to promote economic growth as a consequence of regional autonomy. To establish effective development policies, it is important for local governments to comprehensively map the potential of key economic sectors. The objective of this study is to identify the key economic sectors in Grobogan Regency, which includes 17 different sectors. This analysis was conducted using Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) data at constant prices for the period from 2020 to 2024. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, this study employs three main analytical methods: Location Quotient (LQ) to identify core sectors, Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ) to analyse sector growth prospects, and Klassen Typology to classify sectors based on growth and contribution. The analysis results show that the LQ identifies 10 sectors as core sectors in Grobogan Regency, with agriculture, forestry, and fisheries being the most prominent. In-depth DLQ analysis identified seven sectors with significant growth potential, with manufacturing emerging as the most promising. Meanwhile, Klassen Typology classified agriculture, forestry, and fisheries; financial and insurance services; property; education services; health and social services; and other services as leading sectors playing a significant role in the regional economy. These findings provide valuable insights for the Grobogan Regency government in formulating more targeted and sustainable economic development policies. With leading sector analysis, the government can focus on formulating policies for base sector development and diversifying prospective sectors.

Abstract

This study aims to identify efforts to improve the effectiveness of youth policies in Grobogan Regency in facing global challenges. The study shows a significant evolution in the approach to youth policy-making between 2020 and 2024, marked by a shift from a paternalistic model to an active participation and partnership model. The analysis of best practices reveals trends in youth policy formulation and implementation with integrated, participatory, and technologically advanced strategies. The success of these practices is characterized by effective cross-sector collaboration, active youth involvement in decision-making processes, and extensive use of digital platforms. Using Grobogan Regency as an example, the study identifies key issues in youth policy implementation, including inadequate youth involvement in decision-making processes, mismatches between education programs and labor market requirements, and social disparities between youth living in rural and urban areas. This study uses comparative analysis, legislative evaluation, and institutional review. The research findings indicate the need for a comprehensive approach to improve the effectiveness of youth policies, including strengthening interagency collaboration, increasing opportunities for active youth participation, developing digital platforms, and improving mechanisms to support youth entrepreneurship. A key element in improving effectiveness is the development and implementation of a comprehensive system to assess the effectiveness of youth policies, based on clear indicators and regular monitoring such as the calculation of the Youth Development Index (Indeks Pembangunan Pemuda/IPP) which has been carried out at the national and Central Java Provinci levels.

Abstract

Grobogan Regency is an agricultural region that frequently faces chronic drought, particularly during extended dry seasons. This situation significantly affects the agricultural sector and the availability of clean water for the population. This study aims to identify the subsurface geological conditions, lithological characteristics of the bedrock, and the distribution and potential of groundwater aquifers using a resistivity-based geoscanner method. This geophysical approach was chosen for its ability to map subsurface structures non-invasively. The research was conducted at six measurement points in Grobogan from July to September 2020. The resistivity data were analyzed using Res2Dinv software to generate two-dimensional subsurface profiles. The results revealed that rock resistivity values ranged from 0.06 to 821 ohm-meters, indicating lithological variations such as clay, sand, calcareous sandstone, marl, and hard limestone. Five distinct aquifer zones were identified with varying depths and thicknesses. One promising site indicated a productive groundwater zone at a depth of 30–70 meters, with a thickness exceeding 20 meters. These findings are expected to serve as a scientific foundation for planning groundwater exploration and sustainable water resource management in Grobogan, particularly in drought-prone areas. Furthermore, the use of geoscanner-based techniques presents a promising application of geophysical methods in the broader context of water resource planning in regions with similar geological settings.
