Abstract

The problem of righteous suffering remains one of the most profound and unresolved issues in theological discourse. The Book of Job occupies a central place in this discussion because it presents a righteous man who suffers intensely, not as a result of identifiable moral failure, but within a divinely permitted framework. This study critically examines Job 1:6–12, Job 2:1–10, and Job 42:1–6 through a qualitative theological approach that combines textual-exegetical analysis, theological synthesis, and critical engagement with major scholarship on Job. The study argues that Job’s suffering cannot be adequately explained through single-factor models such as retributive justice, deterministic sovereignty, or merely existential protest. Instead, the narrative reveals a multidimensional theological logic involving divine sovereignty, satanic agency, human suffering, epistemological limitation, and transformative revelation. To account for this complexity, the study proposes an interlocking “gear model” as a non-reductionist framework for interpreting righteous suffering. This model preserves both divine sovereignty and divine moral integrity while also recognizing the experiential depth of human pain and the limits of human understanding. The findings suggest that the Book of Job does not solve suffering through abstract explanation but reorients the reader toward a deeper encounter with the wisdom and majesty of God (Andersen 1976; Hartley 1988; Clines 1989; Longman 2012; Walton 2012).

Abstract

This article analyzes the integration of strategic planning, performance management, corporate budgeting, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) within BPJS Kesehatan as a public body responsible for administering Indonesia's National Health Insurance program. The study is based on an expert sharing session organized by BPJS Kesehatan in collaboration with Freshminds Indonesia and is positioned as a qualitative reflective study supported by literature review. The purpose of the article is to examine how planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring can be aligned into a more coherent strategic management system. The findings indicate that effective integration requires strategic clarity, performance-informed budgeting, clear accountability mechanisms, reliable performance information, and systematic follow-up through monitoring and evaluation. The discussion also shows that fragmented internal regulations, siloed work processes, and weak linkage between plans and budget execution may reduce organizational effectiveness. In contrast, a more integrated approach can strengthen efficiency, transparency, and strategic execution. The article concludes that BPJS Kesehatan's effort to build a unified management guideline is a relevant step toward a more adaptive, results-oriented, and accountable public-sector management system

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies implemented by the Baubau City Transportation Agency in controlling and supervising illegal parking using a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) approach. Illegal parking is a significant problem in Baubau City, causing traffic congestion and reducing the comfort and safety of road users. The SWOT analysis results indicate that the Transportation Agency has several strengths, such as clear policies and regulations, committed leadership, and the use of monitoring technology. However, there are weaknesses that include limited human resources and infrastructure, as well as public resistance to parking regulations. Opportunities that can be exploited include the use of digital technology and smart cities, and the development of partnerships with the private sector. Meanwhile, threats faced include public resistance, political pressure, and rapid vehicle growth. Based on this analysis, the study recommends increased inter-agency collaboration, the use of more sophisticated technology, and a more intensive public education campaign to improve the effectiveness of illegal parking control in Baubau City.

Abstract

The Ur III period does not suffer from a shortage of tablets: if anything, we have more information than we can adequately handle now. Starting about twenty or thirty years ago, a new cache of tablets from Urusagrig appeared on the art market: they appear to number more than 2700. Some of these tablets have been published; some collections have been returned to the Iraq Museum. Study of the archive is really just beginning. In addition to providing transliterations of a few previously unpublished Urusagrig texts in Iraq, this article seeks to address four main questions: 1. What can Iraqi scholars contribute to the ongoing debate about the location of Urusagrig? 2. How can Urusagrig texts legitimately be studied? 3. What do we know about its governor Ur-mes? 4. What were Urusagrig’s taxes like and did it hold a special place in the Ur III state?

Abstract

This interdisciplinary study examines how agricultural development policies are framed and legitimized through the digital discourse of regional leadership in Indonesia. By analyzing a corpus of speeches, policy documents, and digital communications from YouTube, official websites, and social media by Governor Andi Sumangerukka of Southeast Sulawesi, we employ Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to deconstruct the linguistic strategies, metaphors, and narratives used to promote agricultural agendas. Our analysis reveals three key findings: first, the construction of "modern" agriculture through techno-populist discourse that combines revolutionary metaphors with populist rhetoric, creating a sense of urgency while obscuring implementation complexities; second, the dichotomous identity assignment that positions farmers as either "progressive champions" or "traditional obstacles" to digital transformation; third, the legitimization of certain policy choices through crisis framing of food security and competitive disadvantage. An agricultural expert evaluation demonstrates significant misalignment between these discursive frames and on-the-ground realities in Southeast Sulawesi, particularly regarding technological accessibility, farmer capacity, and sustainable resource management. The study concludes that digital political discourse functions primarily as a legitimization tool rather than a participatory mechanism, potentially exacerbating social polarization in the agricultural community. These findings offer critical insights for developing more accountable and inclusive agricultural communication policies that bridge the gap between political narratives and farming realities

Abstract

Market uncertainty in the era of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) demands that businesses possess high predictive acumen. This study explores the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in demand forecasting through a descriptive qualitative approach. The study focuses on a deeper understanding of how the integration of AI technology transforms managerial decision-making processes and the dynamics of its adaptation within the digital business ecosystem in Indonesia. In-depth interviews were conducted with ten informants holding managerial and operational analyst positions in the e-commerce and technology retail sectors in Indonesia. The results show that the application of AI, particularly based on Machine Learning and Deep Learning, is able to reduce subjective human bias and capture non-linear data patterns that conventional statistical methods fail to identify. This implementation significantly improves inventory estimation accuracy, minimizes holding costs, and prevents loss of sales momentum (stockouts). However, the transition to an AI-based forecasting system faces significant structural challenges, including data quality issues (data silos), limited local talent with multidisciplinary competencies, and cultural resistance within the organization. From the perspective of managerial decision-making theory, AI acts as a cognitive amplification tool, shifting the paradigm from pure intuition to data-driven decision-making. This study concludes that the success of AI implementation is determined not only by the sophistication of the algorithm, but also by the readiness of data governance and the alignment of inclusive organizational strategies
