Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of taxpayer awareness, tax knowledge, tax rewards, and public service accountability on motor vehicle taxpayer compliance at the Dompu Regency Samsat Office, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The research adopts an associative design with a quantitative approach. The independent variables include taxpayer awareness, tax knowledge, tax rewards, and public service accountability, while the dependent variable is motor vehicle taxpayer compliance. The study population consisted of 23,074 taxpayers, and the sample size of 100 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey, all of which were returned and valid for analysis. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 24 through classical assumption testing and multiple linear regression analysis. The findings reveal that, partially, taxpayer awareness and tax knowledge have a significant effect on taxpayer compliance, whereas tax rewards and public service accountability show no significant effect. However, simultaneously, all four independent variables significantly affect motor vehicle taxpayer compliance. The study recommends that the Dompu Samsat Office conduct educational and outreach programs to raise public understanding of the importance of motor vehicle taxation, thereby enhancing taxpayer awareness and compliance

Abstract

According to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP, 2020), errors in post-harvest handling, such as not using ice, storing fish in unhygienic containers, and delays in sales, are the main causes of declining fish quality. The objectives of this study were: 1) Describe the conditions of post-harvest handling of fish along the coast of Mataram City, 2) Identify obstacles and factors influencing post-harvest handling, and 3) Formulate appropriate and applicable post-harvest handling strategies. This study used a descriptive-qualitative approach to gain an in-depth understanding of post-harvest fishing business strategies along the coast of Mataram City. The results indicate that to reduce losses during the west wind season, some of the catch is processed into products such as pindang fish, crackers, shredded fish, or stored in refrigerators. Factors affecting post-harvest management include: lack of knowledge about hygienic fish handling techniques, limited cold storage facilities and infrastructure on ships, minimal training from relevant agencies, and fishing communities' dependence on middlemen. Based on the IFAS and EFAS matrices, the fishery is positioned in quadrant III, namely the WO strategy. Factors supporting the WO strategy include increasing the human resource capacity of fishermen and post-fishing businesses, encouraging product diversification, providing facilities and infrastructure to support post-fishing businesses, strengthening economic institutions in coastal communities, expanding access to capital, developing marketing and business digitalization, strengthening logistics and cold chain systems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digital-based service development strategy to increase member satisfaction at the Betang Asi Credit Union Cooperative, Palangka Raya. Developments in information technology encourage financial institutions, including cooperatives, to adapt by providing more effective, efficient, and easily accessible digital services to members. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods to describe the cooperative's strategies in developing digital services and their impact on member satisfaction. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research results show that the development of digital services such as mobile applications, online transaction services, and member information systems can improve ease of service access, accelerate transaction processes, and enhance member convenience in interacting with the cooperative. However, several challenges remain, such as varying levels of digital literacy among members and limited technological infrastructure. Therefore, further strategies are needed, such as increasing the socialization of digital service usage, training for members, and strengthening information technology systems to improve the quality of cooperative services. With optimal digital service development, it is hoped that member satisfaction at the Betang Asi Palangka Raya Credit Union Cooperative will continue to increase.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology in the healthcare sector has encouraged the implementation of electronic prescription systems (e-prescriptions) as part of healthcare transformation in Indonesia. However, this system raises legal challenges, particularly regarding the protection of patient personal data. This study aims to analyze legal challenges in protecting patient data within e-prescription systems based on Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health, supported by a case study in Central Lombok Regency. This research uses a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches, supported by limited empirical case studies. The results indicate that although the legal framework exists, there are still regulatory gaps related to data security, supervision, and legal responsibility. The case study in Central Lombok shows that digital health practices are developing without adequate data protection standards. Therefore, stronger technical regulations are required to ensure optimal patient data protection.

Abstract

The presentation of test results significantly influences the conclusions drawn from a test, such as the infiltration rate test for rain-fed rice fields conducted in Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency. Infiltration tests show various patterns, both in the time it takes to achieve constant infiltration and the length of the measurement data obtained. Continuing the test will yield more data, and the longer the test data, the stronger or weaker the regression relationship. The field infiltration study was conducted in rain-fed rice fields on clay soils and surrounding areas. A double-ring infiltrometer was used as the test equipment, and the tests were conducted during the dry season. The data used for analysis were infiltration data and the duration required for the test to achieve constant infiltration. The analysis results show that the constant infiltration rate obtained at test locations 1 to 5 is 2.5 cm/hour, 2.4 cm/hour, 2 cm/hour, 2.6 cm/hour and 2.6 cm/hour, respectively. For land that is still purely used for rice farming, the value is 2.4 cm/hour and the infiltration rate is still smaller than land that has been used as yard or plantation land which is 2.6 cm/hour. After constant infiltration occurs, the use of longer data (25 data) in logarithmic regression produces a determinant value of 0.6813 and the use of less data (16 data) produces a determinant value of 0.8581.

Abstract

Dairy-based yogurt is less suitable for individuals who suffer from lactose intolerance, have allergies to cow's milk protein, or follow a strict vegetarian (vegan) diet. Therefore, plant-based alternatives are needed, one of which is made from coconut milk. However, coconut milk yogurt faces challenges related to its physical stability, such as syneresis or water separation, which can be minimized by adding carrageenan as a stabilizer. This study aimed to examine the chemical characteristics including pH, moisture content, fat content, and protein content, as well as to analyze the market potential of plant-based yogurt made from coconut milk with carrageenan fortification. A descriptive-exploratory method was employed with three variations of carrageenan concentration, namely Y1 (0.2% w/v), Y2 (0.4% w/v), and Y3 (0.6% w/v). The results showed that the higher the concentration of carrageenan added, the higher the pH value (increasing from 4.68 to 4.95), but conversely, it decreased moisture content (from 85.77% to 83.15%), fat content (from 3.89% to 3.25%), and protein content (from 2.90% to 2.60%). The best treatment was found in sample Y2 with a carrageenan concentration of 0.4% w/v, which produced a pH of 4.83, moisture content of 84.98%, fat content of 3.70%, and protein content of 2.75%, all of which met the quality requirements of SNI 2981-2009. This product is considered to have high market potential, supported by the increasing trend in plant-based product consumption, the advantage of coconut milk as a lactose-free raw material, and its potential as a functional food.

Abstract

The enactment of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code marks a significant reform of Indonesia’s national criminal law system. One of the legal issues that directly affects the profession of public officials concerns the offense of falsifying authentic deeds. As public officials authorized to issue authentic deeds, notaries are particularly vulnerable to criminal allegations involving forged documents. This article aims to examine the redefinition of the offense of forgery and the limits of criminal liability imposed on notaries under the New Criminal Code. The study employs a normative juridical method using both statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that the New Criminal Code adopts a stricter and more objective formulation of the offense of authentic deed forgery. A notary should not be held criminally liable when the falsification originates from the bad faith of the appearing parties who submit forged supporting documents. Legal protection for notaries may be ensured through the strict application of the mens rea principle by law enforcement authorities. In conclusion, strengthening the formal verification process of supporting documents constitutes the primary instrument for mitigating criminal liability risks faced by notaries under the current legal framework.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of direct communication extension methods through field visits on the level of farmer knowledge in preventing anthracnose disease symptoms in cayenne peppers in the Sambelia District. This study used a simple linear regression analysis, which aimed to determine the relationship between the independent variables, namely, the agricultural extension method and the field visit method, which together affected the dependent variable, namely, the level of farmer knowledge on preventing anthracnose disease in cayenne peppers. The number of respondents was 40. The results of the study found that (1) the extension method through the concept of direct communication by conducting field visits influenced farmer knowledge in understanding the prevention of anthracnose disease in cayenne pepper plants. (2) The equation model showed that the regression coefficient of farmer knowledge was 0.667, indicating that every 1 unit increase in the independent variable, namely extension using the field visit method, would increase by 0.667 units.

Abstract

The development of the digital era has brought a major transformation for the fulfillment of human rights, particularly the right to freedom of opinion and expression. Freedom of opinion is a fundamental right guaranteed by the Indonesian Constitution. However, in the digital era, the implementation of this right often clashes with technical regulations, especially the Information and Electronic Transactions Law (ITE Law). The implementation of the ITE Law often triggers dilemmas and controversies in society due to articles that are considered open to multiple interpretations and vulnerable to being misused to criminalize legitimate criticism. This article aims to analyze how a balance between public order and human rights can be achieved within the framework of cyber law in Indonesia today. The research methodology used is normative juridical with a legislative and conceptual approach. Research results indicate that although the ITE Law was designed to create order in the digital space, several vague articles such as defamation and hate speech often create a chilling effect that hinders healthy public participation. Although the second revision of the ITE Law (Law 1/2024) has attempted to provide clearer boundaries, the challenges of fair law enforcement and the protection of human rights remain central issues in Indonesia's digital democracy
