Abstract

The purpose of this devotion is to increase the efficiency of theproduction process of bamboo craft with a round stick making machine.Gains derived by a craftsman can accelerate the process of making bamboohandicraft. Gains derived by devotees is to help solve problems encounteredin the process of manufacture of handicraft artisans.The process of making machines include: planning, manufacture,and testing. The material used is steel square profile 3 cm in size, profilesteel elbow size 3 cm, the steel shaft of 64 mm diameter, Alluminium tomake puley, 15 mm thick wooden board, and 8 mm thick steel plate. Thetools used to make machines include lathes, drilling machines, sawsmachine, and electric welding machines. Machine performance testing doneby measuring the sticks diameter and length are made, and measure the timerequired.The results of the manufacturing process is to have made a roundstick making machine with long dimension of 90 mm, width 50 cm and 65cm high. The machine can make a stick of bamboo with a diameter of 3 mmand 4 mm. Long bamboo stick, not limited or made in accordance with thelength of the cut material. Machine capable of making a round bamboo stickwith a uniform size within 2 minutes to 50 cm long stick.

Abstract

Karangmalang and Kuningan are the area located near the campus ofYogyakarta State University and Gadjah Mada University. This causes the twoareas have crowded population. Many students from outside of Sleman Yogyakarta stay in many boarding houses that need laundry service since they do not have enough time and are very busy of studying activities. There are approximately 30 laundry service businesses in these areas. The condition has positive impact on local people income generating. However, it also cause adverse effects on the environment because of the laundry waste water directly discharged into the environment without prior treatment. The priority problem to solve is the disposal of waste water and dissemination of eco-friendly detergen. We had “Sekar Laundry” and “Ramadhani Laundry”as our partners in this programme. To achieve the objectives of the project we carried out the following methods: (1) socialization, counseling, and training for the introduction of ecofriendly detergents and simple sewage treatment; and (2) the application of appropriate technology of waste water treatment based on fitoremediation for both partners. The results obtained were in accordance with the purposes. We could overcome the environmental pollution caused by waste water of laundry activities. Based on laboratory tests, laundry waste water from the outlet of the Waste Water Treatment Plant (the WWTP) had significantly quality improvement that it made safer to be discharged into the environment, with 27,125% of BOD decline efficiency, 120,350% of COD decline efficiency, 17,300% of TSS decline efficiency, 11,597% of detergent decline efficiency, and 88% of phosphate decline efficiency

Abstract

The program is aimed at developing casting competence at SMK Muhammadiyah Prambanan Yogyakarta by developing gas fueled aluminium crucible furnace. Research and development method was used to develop aluminium crucible furnace. Training on crucible furnace operation and aluminium casting for SMK Muhammadiyah teachers was done using demonstration and lecture method. The program result is (Ø600x500)mm crucible furnace with capacity of 15 kg melted aluminium. The furnace need 2,7 kg of LPG and 55 minutes to melt 8,6 kg aluminium. SMK Muhammadiyah Prambanan teachers are able to operate the furnace, to make a sand mold and to do a daily and special maintenance

Abstract

Kegiatan  pen gab dian  kepada  masyarakat   yang  merupakan   Pelatihan   Program  Inkubator   Bisnis  ini diperuntukkan    bagi siswa-siswa  SMUN Kalasan  yang tahun  ini merupakan  tahun (tahap)  pertama.  Secara umum tujuan  yang ingin dicapai  dengan program  ini adalah  bahwa  setelah  peserta  selesai mengikuti  kegiatan  sampai  dengan  tahap  III, peserta  memiliki  pengetahuan, kemampuan  dan keterampilan  untuk memelihara,  merawat,  dan memperbaiki  komputer,  Dengan pengetahuan,   kemampuan  dan keterampilan  yang dimiliki tersebut  diharapkan  mereka  dapat hidup mandiri,  menggunakan   kemampuan  dan  keterampilannya untuk   berwirausaha     sehingga    dapat   dimanfaatkan    untuk   menopang    kehidupan    keluarganya,     atau  paling   tidak   untuk meningkatkan   taraf  hidupnya,   Secara  khusus  tujuan  yang  ingin  dicapai  pad a kegiatan  tahap  awal  ini  adalah  para  peserta memiliki   pengetahuan    dan  kemampuan   dasar  tentang   komputer   yang  meliputi   bagian-bagian    beserta   fungsi  dan  prinsip kerjanya. Metode   yang  digunakan   dalam  rangka  pelaksanaan    program   inkubator   bisnis   di  SMU  Kalasan   ini  adalah   dengan menggunakan  pendekatan  teori dan praktek. Teori diberikan sebelum praktek. Dalam menyampaikan  teori, pengabdi menunjukkan komponen-komponen     yang  dijelaskan   beserta  prinsip  kerjanya.  Disamping   itu peserta  memberikan   penjelasan   singkat  apa dan bagaimana  komputer  bisa bekerja.  Dalam  kegiatan  praktek,  peserta  dibimbing  agar berani  mencoba,   dengan  asumsi jika keberanian   telah ada dihati  perserta  maka untuk melaksanakan   praktek  akan dapat berjalan  dengan  lancar. Hasil  dari  kegiatan  ini adalah  telah  berhasil  dilakukan  pelatihan   dengan   dengan  materi  perawatan,   pemeliharaan    dan perbaikan  komputer  yang  sifatnya  masih  sangat  dasar. Materi  yang telah  diberikan  adalah  sebagai  berikut  : (a). Pengenalan Hard Ware, (b). Pen genal an Card (lIO monitor),  (c). Pengenalan  Setup Bios, (d). Pemasangan   alat pendukung  (disk drive, hard disk), (e). Sistem  Operasi  (DOS, LAN), dan (f). Perawatanlpemeliharaan    komputer. Kata kunci  : P3HP, Inkubator  bisnis,  SMU Kalasan

Method applied in this activity are discourse,discussion - information, demonstration and experiment.They made of lenan household single form of diametrical and circle,multiple form of diametrical and circle, and lenan with various technique ofmeronce. Each participant makes four kinds of object, out of five objectsplanned. Based on evaluation result, this activity was attractive and its canbe utilized and developed in school as component of skill teaching of PKK.And it can be to public. This Activity assessed to be very useful so thatparticipant expects for the next activity for developing skill teaching ofPKK for junior high schools student. Abstract

Tujuan utama program  penerapan  IPTEKS  ini adalah untuk melatih  para guru agar memiliki  kemampuan   menyusun  butir­butir soal yang memenuhi  persyaratan   untuk  dimasukkan  ke dalam bank  soal,Khalayak  sasaran  adalah  para guru SLTP dan SMU di Propinsi  Daerah  Istimewa  Yogyakarta  yang  diizinkan  oleh Kanwil Depdikbud   setempat  untuk  mengikuti   kegiatan  ini. Metode  yang  digunakan   meliputi  kegiatan   ceramah,   pelatihan   praktek terbimbing/tutorial,   dan kerja mandiri.Soal yang disusun  dalam  pelatihan  pengembangan   bank soal ini adalah  untuk  seluruh  mata pelajaran  yang  diebtanaskan yang diajarkan di kelas III cawu-L  Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan  bahwa para guru benar-benar  dapat ditingkatkan   kemampuannya dalam menyusun  kisi-kisi,  menyusun  dan menyunting  butir soal, merakit  soal, menganalisis   butir soal menggunakan   program ASCAL dan dimasukkan  ke dalam bank soal, menganalisis  butir soal menggunakan  program  lTEMAN  dan menginterpretasikan hasilnya  untuk mengetahui  kekuatan  distraktor  rnasing-masing  butir soa1. Setelah soal dari setiap mata pelajaran  diujikan  pada500 testi, hasilnya  menunjukkan   bahwa  presentasi  butir  soal yang  tidak  memenuhi  persyaratan   untuk  dimasukkan   ke dalam bank  soal berkisar   12% sampai  45%.  Hasil  pemantauan   di sekolah  menunjukkan   bahwa  pengalaman   yang  diperoleh   para petatar   benar-benar    ditularkan   kepada   guru  lain  di  sekolahnya   masing-masing    di  antaranya   ada  yang  melalui   kegiatan Musyawarah   Guru Mata Pelajaran  (MGMP).Kata kunci: Bank Soal-  Menulis  Butir

Abstract

The aim of community service activities through a U-UJI TDDC will be conducted strain mapping M. leprae (genetic mapping) and TTC-based maping region mutation patterns of drug rifampin rpoB gene-based regions. The be- nefits of this activity is an increase in quality of life for the leprosy both socially and economically because of the application of molecular technology could help  early  detection  of  regional-based  Variable  Number  Tandem  Repeat (VNTR) of the TTC and rifampin-resistant gene (rpoB gene) and is expected to occur later therapeutic action will accelerate the decline in the incidence and cure the patient. Materials in this study isolates M. leprae from skin incision swabs, nasal mucosa and skin lesions biopisi of leprosy who come from a few enclaves leprosy in  Sumberaji-Lamongan District.  Criteria  for  patient  sample  is  still relatively new or are in treatment. Based on these criteria finally set 17 sample patients, whether included Pseudobasiler type (1 sample) and Multibasiler (16 samples). The method used is a nested PCR using specific primers from the region of the TTC, LP and rpoB. The results of nucleotide sequencing of both the sequence of the region of TTC, LP and rpoB region using GENETIX Mac software ver. 9.0. Community service activities based on the application of molecular technology by U-Uji TDDC, Airlangga University in endemic areas, especially infectious diseases in leprosy Sumberaji Lamongan District, from the results of PCR and nucleotide sequence analysis of a sample selected patients  indicates that the bacteria M. leprae in Sumberaji consists of three strains of M. leprae based on TTC-15, TTC-23 and TTC-28, while the analysis of the rpoB region of the mutation was not found either in CAG513-Gln, GAT516-Asp, CAC526- His, and TCG531-Ser-Leu CTG533, this indicates that the isolates of   M . leprae found in the leprosy in Sumberaji Lamongan district are sensitive to rifampin treatment. The results of this mapping can be used as a reference that rifampin  treatment  can  be used  for  therapy MDT  on  leprosy in  Sumberaji Lamongan district

Abstract

Tujuan  dari  kegiatan  pengabdian   pada  masyarakat  yang dilaksanakan   oleh  tim   dosen Juresan  Pendidikan  Fisika  FPMIPA IKIP Yogyakarta  ini adaJah: pertama,   membantu  industri kecil tempe  benguk  dalam  merancang  dan membuat  sistem  pengolahan  Iimbah, kedua , untuk membuat  sarana  kegiatan   praktikum  dan penelitian  untuk mahasiswa  yang mengambil  mata kuliah    Fisika   Lingkungan    dan   Manajemen    Lingkungan,    melakukan    pengujian    secara kuantitatif    (uji   kualitas   Iimbah)   dan   kualitatif    (angket   untuk   mengetahui    kemanfaatan instalasi  Iimbah bagi lingkungan  sekitarnya).Metode  kegiatan  yang  dilaksanakan   dalam  kegiatan  pengabdian   ini  meliputi  metode: pertama,    untuk   mengetahui   pendapat   masyarakat   mengenai   adanya   instalasi   pengolahan limbah  melalui  wawaneara  dan angket  di lapangan.  Kedua,  untuk memberikan   keterampilan perancangan   dan  pembuatan   sistem  pengolahan   limbah dilakukan praktik  langsung  dengan menghadirkan  beberapa  pemilik industri  sejenis.Indikator   keberhasilan    program   ini  adalah   dengan   semakin   meningkatnya    kualitas lingkungan  di sekitar  industri  tempe  benguk  dengan  adanya  sistem  pengolahan  limbah.   Hasil Jain yang  didapat  adalah  telah  diraneang   dan  dibuat  sistem  pengolahan   limbah  yang  dapat dimanfaatkan    oleh   industri   kecil.   Kesimpulan    yang  didapat   ternyata   sisitem   pengolahan limbah  yang  dibuat  efektif  untuk  rnereduksi   tingkat  berbahayanya   limbah  bagi  lingkungan (dibuktikan   dengan  pengujian   dan  analisis   fisis  Iimbah).  Dari  hasil  wawaneara   dan  angket ditunjukkan   bahwa  masyarakat   serempat   merasakan   manfaat   keberadaan   instalasi  tersebut, limbah  yang asalnya  tergenang  menjadi  sumber  penyakit  dan bau dapat  teratasi  dengan  baik. Banvak   pengusaha   industri   yang  menyadari   pentingnya   instalasi   pengolahan   Iimbah  tapi sulitnya   finansial,   sehingga   perlu  lebih  dikembangkan    pola  pengabdian   untuk  pernbuatan sistern pengolahan  1imbah di industri  keeil. Abstract

This training aims at giving preview in the arrangement of swimming teaching  model based on religious moral values  for students of FIK UNY. There are two approaches for activities method. First is theoretical approach which consists of material presentation, discussion, and question answer. Se- cond one is practical approach which consists of mastering the swimming basic technique, class management based on religious moral values, water games, etc. Each of approaches then was evaluated  using  swimming  teaching  program based on religious moral values. The material presentation focuses on: theo- retical and practical material about swimming basic skill, swimming rules, basic safety water, and swimming teaching model based on religious moral values. The indication of training successfulness could be seen from the high motivation of participants in following it and also from the new science and skill about swimming learning model based on religious moral values that was gotten. The program of people service was going well and followed by 31 of participants. Based on result discussion that was presented then there are some high light points: (1) There are lots of students voices that hoping a special class in swimming subject which separates male and female students, (2) They also want to use swimsuit that can close over the body, (3) there is a tension from female students who wear veil then she leave out it because of swimming rule about cloth manner in swimming class, (4) time for swimming class is just same with public visitors who also use same facilities of pool so then it could be like a public show for them, (5) It should be a female teacher for female students and a male teacher for males
