UPAYA MENGATASI ANAK BERKESULITAN BELAJAR DI SEKOLAH DASAR Supartini, Endang

Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk membantu guru-gum Sekolah Dasar (SD) Jomblang II Kecamatan Brebeh, dalam menghadapi anak-anak yang mengalami kesulitan belajar di kelasnya, agar prestasi belajarnya dapat meningkat. Selain itu untuk merintis program pendidikan terpadu bagi anak berkelainan di sekolah dasar, dengan model kelas jauh.Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara bertahap. Tahap pertama yaitu melatih guru untuk mampu mengidentifikasi siswa di kelasnya yang termasuk berkesulitan belajar dan melakukan tes intelligensi untuk mengetahui tingkat keeerdasannya. Tahap kedua, memberikan pelatihan pada guru SD tentang eara mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa, dan tahap ketiga melakukan rintisan berdirinya pendidikan terpadu dengan model kelas jauh, yaitu bekerjasama dengan Sekolah Luar Biasa terdekat.Hasilnya diketemukan 22 (dua puluh dua) anak mengalami kesulitan belajar. Setelah dites dengan tes intelligensi Raven temyata 50 % termasuk tunagrahita ringan, 13,6 % termasuk lamban belajar. 27,3 % termasuk normal, dan 9,7 % tingkat intelligensinya di atas normal. Dengan demikian kegiatan PPM ini perIu ditindak lanjuti sampai dengan tahap tiga.Kata kunci : Berkesulitan belajar, sekolah dasar.

The event was held with the aim to improve the productivity of coconut shell craftsmen (bathok) in the village of Santan and Ngimbang Bantul, using the concept ofIntegrated Production Process. These objectives are translated into specific objectives, namely procurement of appropriate technology, improve the ability of craftsmen in business management, and improve the ability of craftsmen in the use of the internet as a marketing medium. The concept of integrated production processes are translated into three activities: procurement of appropriate technology, the Internet as a marketing medium for training, and business management training.This activity is carried out by using lectures, discussions, demonstrations, handson and observation. Lecture method is used in the process of delivering training materials. Besides, it is also used in providing motivation to craftsmen to always defend and promote the spirit of trying as a major capital in increasing productivity of the craftsmen. Discussion method is used as a medium ofcommunication with the training to take place resulting in a two-way communication between the presenters and artisans. The method used in the demonstration of an example in every training, thus providing facilities to the artisans in understanding the material presented. The method used to apply a hands-on materials that have been obtained, of course, with the guidance of presenters. Observation methods performed to observe the craftsmen skills both during the training and after the training. Observations after the training aimed to determine the impact of the training that has been conducted related to the progress of the productivity of the craftsmen. The results of this activity are: (1) has been assigned some appropriate technology equipment that is 2 units of portable drilling machine, 1 unit sanding machine and 1 unit compressor, (2) business management training can improve the ability of craftsmen in the fields of management, which is 70% craftsmen have acquired in the management of the business, (3) training using the Internet can enhance the ability of artisans to utilize the internet as a marketing medium, which is 40% craftsmen have the ability to use the Internet, (4) based on the results of the analysis of increased productivity, increased artisans revenues of approximately 30%Keywords: concept of integrated production processes, coconut shellcraftsmen

The purpose of activities include: (1) develop a variation of materialprocessed eel (nuggets, meatballs, and various flavors of snack chips madefrom eel); (2) participants can describe about entrepreneurship; (3) able topractice manufacturing packaging; (4) the trainees can realize on the saleprice and labeling.Implementation method began with a pre-site survey analysis needsa partner to see. After the analysis we needed to know the existence of theproblems faced by partners. Of the problems we were trying to find solutionsto these problems. The method used in this activity is the lecture method,discussion, and practice. To see the success of the training activitiesneed to be evaluated. As an indicator of the success of both theoretical andpractical material 80% of participants can master the training materials.Godean eel business partners could increase the variety processedeel products (nuggets, meatballs, and various flavors of snack chips eel).Godean eel business partners could have the knowledge and understandingof entrepreneurship. Godean eel business partners could make proper andattractive packaging. The training of the fish processing is meant to socialize knowledge and skills in fish processing safety and healthy to be consumed for the fish sellers in Trisik Beach, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta.The 15 fish sellers attended the training from Trisik Village. The training was conducted 5 times consisting of one session of theory and 4 sessions of a practices. The methods of the training were lecturing, demonstrating and practicing on the spot. The evaluation was done after the training had finished.The result of the training showed that the participants mastered thetraining material given covering: 1) hygiene in fish processing, 2) fish processing for preserving products i.e fish crackered and smoked, and 3) fish processing for ready-served food such as siomay, ikan acar kuning and saos asam manis that are served hygienically. The result of the training has been applied in warung PKK Trisik Village, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta.Key word: training.fish processing

There four reasons why OpenOffice.org (OOo) should be introducedto the educators at Junior high School. Firstly, Ooo is the great software.OOo is the software developed for 20 years and designed as integratedoffice software that has consistence. Secondly, OOo version 3.3 is very easyto use. The most of educators have basics of using Ms Office. Based on theirexperience of using Ms Office, they will never find difficulties in writing,presenting, calculating and drawing with OOo. OOo is also supported byIndonesian language, so it is for beginner, too. Thirdly, OOo can be gotfreely. It means that we can get from anyone, distrubute to every one. OOois released under GPL (General Public Licence) license. Fourthly, OOo isopen. OOo is developed using paradigm open or ‘no secret’. It means thatevery one could see the source codes of this program. Anyone may giveadvices to improve and repaire the bugs. In consideration of economiccondition the most people in Indonesia, OOo gives smart alternative toanticipate the digital devide.

The long term goal of the program's science and technology for ExportProducts (IbPE) is to increase the productivity of ceramics in Small and MediumEnterprises Industries (SMI) "Soemarso Ceramics" and "Burat Kriasta"in Bantul in order to stimulate the growth of export of ceramic products. IbPE program is planned will be running for two (2) years, with specific targets to be achieved: (1) improve the quality and quantity of production to satisfy the customer or market demand by facilitating support equipment and provide training; (2) enhance customer satisfaction with the assistance of management based on ISO 9000; and (3) expand the marketing of the product through the assistance of web-based marketing strategies. Targets to be achieved in the first year is (1) to increase in the value of assets and turnover of the SMIs; and (2) to increase in the number and quality of the products marketed. The activities carried out by training and mentoring intensively, also by providing the machine production. In the first year has carried out activities for SMEs "Burat Kriasta" includes: (1) facilitation of making functional ceramic design with natural style; (2) the provision of soil mixers equipment; and (3) the preparation of the exhibition in November, while in SMEs "Soemarso Ceramics" has been carried out: (1) training and technical assistance to the manufacturing of ceramic high-temperature glaze; and (2) providing a ceramic combustion engine. In the first year, the activity has been running well. The target can be achieved in this activity is the increased value of the equipment assets of SMEs "Burat Kriasta" of 19.21%, and the turnover increased by 5%. In SMEs "Soemarso Ceramics" assets increased by 18%. In addition, an increase in the number and quality of 3) 2 the products marketed by up to 25% in SMEs "Burat Kriasta", whereas in SMEs "Soemarso Ceramics" production capacity can be increased more than 25%. Likewise, there is expansion of marketing network export to Korea in SMEs "Burat Kriasta"

The purpose of this activity is to (1) provide an alternative freshwaterfish post-harvest processing; (2) producing an acceptable using waste fish headsand bones; (3) provide an alternative to consumers in the form of productsmade from freshwater fish that are high in calcium, ready for consumption andhave long-term expired time; and (4) developing agri-based home Industry.These research subjects were Merapi Bangkit dan Sumber Makmur farmergroups in Teplok and Mudal, Argomulyo Village, Cangkringan, Yogyakarta.The method carried out was discussion on proper fish process, hygiene sanitation, food licensing, packaging, marketing strategies and product manufacturing. Competencies evaluation was conducted at the end of the program by producing some product. The evaluation characteristics items were: flavor, color, aroma, texture, innovation and the price per pack. The results show that the alternative fish processing using fish waste that have a long-term expired date can be implemented

The purpose of this training in order to conduct service community through the Sibermas Program is to increase skills and knowledge of the teachers of the secondary Tepus and Tanjungsari school in constructing and conducting Classroom Action Research.The participants of this service community are 20 subject matter teachers from any content areas of Tepus and Tanjungsari Secondary School. The training is held from August 27 to 29 2002. The constructing research proposal is conducting in a week between August 30 and September 5, 2002. The monitoring of research activities is held between September 15 and October 30. The training used techniques of lecture, discussion, tutorial, and monitoring.The result if this training' activity is that all of the teachers followed this activity havecompetencies of Classroom Action Research including basic consept, procedurs, constructing proposal, implementing, and reporting. There are 13 teachers could construct Classroom Action Research proposal. Two of them funded to conduct of research, those are the group from Tepus 2 Secondary School and Tanjungsari 2 Secondary School. Basid on the result, it could be concluded that this training activity could increase the skills and knowledge of the Secondary School teachers in contructing and conducting Classroom Action Research so this activity that could increase the achievement of he students. Pengaksesan data sudah sangat maju namun banyak kendala yang dihadapi oleh para sivitas akademika dan lembaga- idikan baik pada sisiem operasi maupun biaya operasi jaringan komputer lewat telepon yang dirasa masih berat. Salah" alternatif untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut adalah mengembangkan jaringan komunikasi data paket radio, dan- ~ anfaatkan untuk kepentingan pendidikan. Pendirian jaringan komunikasi data lewat radio memerlukan izin frekuensi,.".~ dapat dimiliki dalam bentuk konsesi, di mana 1 band frekuensi dipakai bersama di antara para pemakai jaringan. Oleh zrena itu, untuk mengembangkanjaringan komunikasi data paket radio perlu dibentuk paguyubanjaringan sistem komunikasi...:zc::: di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dengan nama Yogya-Net. Melalui penerapan IPTEK ini diharapkan terbentuk pagu-...:-cmjaringan komunikasi data paket radio dengan nama Yogya-Net yang berfungsi sebagai Gateway. Manfaat yang didapat..:n:-; pengabdian masyarakat dalam penerapan IPTEK ini adalah terjadinya pertukaran informasi antar lembaga pendidikan ngga hasil-hasil penelitian dan produk-produk pendidikan dapat di lihat secara cepat. Para peserta telah dapat merakit modem dan menggunakan untuk komunikasi. Dari pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa telah terbentuk Yogya-Net, merupakan sarana ikasi lewat radio, masyarakat menunjukkan antusias dalam mengikuti program ini mulai dari pembentukan Yogya-Net,cuatan modem dan percobaan mengoperasikan alat komanikasi. Selanjutnya disarankan untuk mensosialisasikan ikasi data paket radio kepada para sivitas akademika, perguruan tinggi, dan masyarakat luas di Daerah IstimewaI:' akarta.
