Abstract

New tourist villages generally face general problems such as a lack of understanding about tourism and communityempowerment, so the community's lack of ability to cultivate the potential of the region. By equipping themselves withthe CCB concept of good management can maximize the performance of tourist villages. The problems that ariserelated to the capacity faced by the Bagot Tourism Village. The purpose of this study is to identify the capacity ofindividuals, organizations, and communities in the Bagot Tourism Village and to evaluate the capacity for communityempowerment in the Bagot Tourism Village. A qualitative approach was used in this study by conducting in-depthinterviews with informants who benefited directly and indirectly from the Bagot Tourism Village. The results of theanalysis that has been carried out that it was found that the Bagot Tourism Village at the individual, organizationaland community level has a moderate capacity. The evaluation carried out on the empowerment and capacity of theBagot Tourism Village shows that the social empowerment and psychological empowerment of the Bagot TourismVillage community are in the high category and political empowerment which is felt to be in the medium category.Keywords : Community capacity; Empowerment; Tourism village

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is a major blow to the tourism industry. Creative and relevant ideas should beimplemented to support the tourism sector. Due to the shift in technological developments, promoting businessesusing this technology is often found. Instagram has been one of the choices to promote a tourist attraction. InJakarta, there are a lot of tourist attractions that used Instagram as a media to promote their attractions. One ofthem is Jakarta Aquarium. Jakarta Aquarium is the largest indoor aquarium tourist attraction at Neo Soho Mall,West Jakarta. This research aims to see the effectiveness of Instagram as social media in promoting tourismattractions. This research used a mixed method, using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The datawere collected through observation, literature study, documentation, and online questionnaires. The theory usedin this study is the Tourist Motivation in Traveling. Abstract

The development of tourism in the future will face increasingly fierce competition in both marketing and tourismproduct development. A place that can be said as a tourist destination is certainly supported by various things, one ofwhich is a tourist attraction and promotion on social media as an information tool. A tourist attraction is aninteresting and worthy tourist place to visit. In addition to tourist attractions, promotions on social media can attractthe attention of customers to visit tourist attractions. However, Tourist Attractions and Instagram Promotionsrequire a maximum strategy so that the information provided can be given correctly and maximally. The RanchCisarua experienced a decrease in visitors in 2021 by 35 percent and the management of Instagram social media isstill not optimal. Based on this, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tourist attraction andInstagram promotion on the decision to visit The Ranch Cisarua. This research is a type of quantitative research. Theresearch was conducted at The Ranch Cisarua. The sampling technique is non-probability sampling with purposivesampling type. The number of samples of 100 people was taken from the total population of Instagram followers@theranchcisarua as many as 11,300 people. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and observation. Theresults of data analysis and it is known that there is an influence of tourist attraction and Instagram promotion onthe decision to visit The Ranch Cisarua by 64 percent. Meanwhile, 36 percent is influenced by other variables notexamined in this study.Keywords: Tourist Attractions, Visiting Decisions, Instagram Promotions, Publicity.

Abstract

Due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Indonesia, the number of tourist arrivals to Indonesia fell in 2020. The COVID-19virus has paralyzed the tourism industry. Setigi is one of the tourist attractions that have been affected by the pandemic.Before the pandemic, Setigi was one of the popular tourist destinations in Gresik, East Java. During the pandemic, touristsbegan to stop coming, which caused a decline in the number of visitors at Setigi.The research was carried out using thequalitative method, which resulted in descriptive data, to facilitate obtaining information. Data collection techniques usedwere interview, observation, and documentation techniques. This study aims to discover what strategies are carried out bySetigi managers to increase the number of visitors during the pandemic and what obstacles the managers face during thestrategy implementation process. The author’s research results are the strategies the manager carried out to raise the numberof tourists during the pandemic; the first is to promote Setigi Tourism’s official account on social media platforms likeInstagram, Facebook, and Twitter. During the pandemic, promotional activities using social media have been an effective wayto do. The second strategy is to strengthen health protocols in tourist attractions by installing hygiene instruments andcontinuously monitoring the tourist attraction area’s condition. The third strategy is the improvement of facilities and servicesin tourist attractions, employees are required to welcome tourists in a friendly and polite manner and not forget to remindtourists about health protocols.Keyword: Tourism, COVID-19, pandemic, health protocol, promotion, Setigi.

Abstract

Community Based Tourism is a tourism concept that makes the community the subject of tourismdevelopment. Lon Malang Beach is one of the priority tourist destinations in Sampang Regency that appliesthis community-based tourism concept. This research aims to see how the application of the principles ofCommunity Based Tourism in Lon Beach Malang and see how the role of stakeholders involved in tourismdevelopment. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods in the formof observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study using purposive samplingtechniques. The results of this study show that the development of Lon Malang beach tourism has applied theprinciple of Community Based Tourism, where full tourism management is carried out by local communitiesthrough village institutions such as POKDARWIS and BUMDes. The results of the study also show thatstakeholders have played a role in the development of Lon Malang beach tourism and cooperate with eachother.Keywords: Community Based Tourism, Tourism, Community Participation, Stakeholders

Abstract

This study aims to describe the potential of coastal tourism at the Open Beach of Denpasar City. Denpasar City isadministratively divided into 4 sub-districts from west to east, namely West Denpasar District, East Denpasar District, NorthDenpasar District, and South Denpasar District. One of the coastal tourism in Denpasar City is located in the Open BeachRecreation Area which stretches on the coast of Sanur Kaja Village to Sanur Kauh Village, where the Sanur village community hasmanaged natural resources by paying attention to environmental balance and harmony.This study applies the Principles of Sustainable Coastal Tourism which are described as follows: 1. The Principle ofBalance Tourism management must be based on a commitment to a balanced pattern between economic development, socioculture,and conservation, 2. The Principle of Community Participation Involving the community in the management of tourismbusinesses, 3. Principles of Conservation Have concern, responsibility, and commitment to environmental conservation (nature andculture), 4. Principles of Integrated Management pay attention to ecosystem conditions and synergize with the development ofvarious sectors, 5. Abstract

Bindu Traditional Village (Desa Adat Bindu) is an emerging health and wellness tourism destination in Balithat features a variety of spiritual activities and traditional herbs and seasonings. Unfortunately, as a result of adearth of marketing and the COVID-19 restrictions, the number of tourists visiting the area dropped to as low as zeroin 2020. This issued has raised some concerns regarding resilience, necessitating the identification of Bindu Village’swellness tourism product, its visitors’ characteristics, and the efforts of stakeholders to increase visitor numbers.This research employs a qualitative methodology, gathering data through interviews, observations,documentation, and a review of the relevant literature. To obtain primary data, interviews with the head of BinduVillage and the head of Bindu’s POKDARWIS Group were conducted. The data are analyzed using the SWOT (Strength,Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats) framework to structure a promotion strategy.This research revealed that Bindu Traditional Village’s tourism products are comprehensive, encompassing,attraction, amenity, accessibility, and ancillary products. Middle-to-upper class travelers, both international andlocal, dominated the village. To increase the number of visitors, stakeholders must use social media to promote ahealthy, clean, and content lifestyle that is sustained by wellness tourism. Abstract

The condition of Bali tourism during the Covid-19 pandemic has become very concerning, on the one hand, the need fortravel is very high but cannot be balanced with the fact of the opening and closing of tourist destinations. Some of thetourist destinations that were closed were used as an opportunity for managers to renovate managed tourist destinationsto comply with CHSE standards. The current conditions have also provided new lessons for managers and touristsregarding the safety of traveling during a pandemic. Special interest tourism such as educational tours is currently indemand by family tourists who want to spend time with family and learn about the culture of local people. Bali ChocolateVillage is Chocolate Village is a new tourist destination in Bali since October 2020. It is located in Cau Village, MargaDistrict, Tabanan Regency. The founder of Chocolate Village is Dr. Ir. I Wayan Alit Artha Wiguna, M.Si. who built the touristattraction of Chocolate Village. Chocolate Village began to be known for educational tours that can provide insight forchild tourists about how the process of growing chocolate fruit to the process of making it. Chocolate Village is a favoritedestination today by local tourists and residents. The founder of Chocolate Village is I Wayan Alit Artha Wiguna who wantsto provide new educational tours for child tourists to learn new lessons about the chocolate-making process and educatetourists so that they get to know the chocolate tree which is one of the plantation plants in Indonesia. This child-friendlytourism-based educational tour is expected to: 1) Become a pilot for child-friendly tourist attractions. 2) Promote childfriendlybased educational tourism in every attraction of educational tours. 3) There is a change in the perspective ofvisitors related to the benefits of educational tourism activities.The formulation of the problems to be raised is 1) The potential of Bali Chocolate Village as a child-friendly tourismbasededucational tour 2) the existing condition of Bali Chocolate Village as a tour Child-Friendly Travel-Based EducationData were collected by observation, in-depth interviews, dissemination of questionnaires, literature studies, anddocumentation techniques. Data analysis techniques use descriptive qualitative and SWOT. The results of the identificationof educational tourism are expected to be able to provide new knowledge in traveling, educational tourism activities canstimulate interest and creativity in children, increase children's motivation Amid a period of school saturation from home,increase the attitude of respect and care for the tourist destinations visited such as natural tourism by protecting theenvironment and forming closeness between families.Keywords: Bali Chocolate Village, Child-Friendly Tourism, Educational Tourism

Abstract

The development tourism, is not only about refreshing but also activity of sport can be included in tourism. The impact of pandemic covid-19, has influenced the development of sport tourism in Indonesia. Yogyakarta, one of the most tourism destination, has many kinds of sport tourism spot. The reasons which can influence tourist arrival in a destination are tourists’ motivation. This research aims to know the domestic tourist’s motivation in visiting one sport tourism destination called Tankaman Natural Park in Kaliurang, Hargobinangun. This research applies the survey method and descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach. The data is obtained by distributing questionnaires, conducting the interview, and doing direct observation. The sample of this research is the domestic tourists. The research shows the motivation of domestic tourists visit to Tankaman Natural Park are dominantly fantasy motivation that the tourists could escape from their routines to seek comforts and hang out with family. And the second is to get physical activity by doing sport in tourism destination. Keywords: tourist motivation, sport tourism, tourism product
