Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan dalam bentuk action research (penelitian tindakan) dengan fokus tujuanuntuk mendapatkan informasi untuk menguji apakah kemampuan siswa dalam psikologi belajar bahasa Inggris benar-benar bisa ditingkatkan melalui penggunaan bahan bacaan otentik sebagai bahan belajar dan memberikan tugas kepada siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Action research merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menekankan pada proses dan hasil. Peneliti yang juga merupakan seorang guru secara langsung membuat perencanaan dan melaksanakan penelitian dengan tujuan yang jelas, yakni menemukan pendekatan belejar yang lebih efektif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua seri, masing- masing seri melibatkan empat sesi kelas dan empat tugas belajar mandiri yang mengukur planning, action, observation dan reflection and evaluation test. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama dua bulan yakni pada 7 Maret sampai dengan 9 Mei2012. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan oleh tim peneliti, dan berdasarkan pada impresi siswa terhadap subjek pembelajaran, dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi penggunaan bahan bacaan otentik dapat diimplementasikan sebagai pendakatan belajar yang efektif. Perbandingan rata-rata nilai awal dan nilai akhir menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan dalam pemahaman bacaan. Perbandingan nilai rata-rata keduanya adalah sebesar 41.7 dan 83.2. Dengan membandingkan nilai berdasarkan tipe kemampuan linguistik, tampak adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada setiap jenis uji kemampuan bahasa. Perubahan dalam arena non-linguistik terutama pada aspek motivasi dan rasa percaya diri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara motivasi bermain game online dan dukungan sosial terhadap adiksi game online pada remaja. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan non-probability sampling dan jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 270 remaja pemain game online MMORPG yang tersebar di Indonesia. Skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala adiksi game online yang disusun oleh Law dan Chang (2007) skala dukungan sosial yang disusun oleh Sarafino (1998), skala motivasi bermain game online yang disusun oleh Yee (2006). Uji validitas alat ukur menggunakan CFA dan analisis statistik menggunakan multiple regression. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa secara bersamaan motivasi bermain game online MMORPG dan dukungan sosial mempengaruhi adiksi game online. Berdasarkan hasil temuan penelitian ini, disarankan untuk menambahkan variabel lain.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of reference group and perceived quality toward purchase decisions of decorative cosmetics for lips without the halal label. The sample amount of 255 female students at Faculty of Psychology UIN Jakarta which were taken with non probability sampling. Data analysis used binary logistic regression analysis technique. The result found that there was significant effect of reference group and perceived quality on purchase decision which was explained in all independent variables was 30,8%, while 69,2% was influenced by external variable of this research. Overall these result indicated that the best predictor of purchase decision of decorative cosmetics for lips without halal label are performance, beauty bloggers, and serviceability. Therefore, for further research is suggested to examine another variables other namely culture, family, age, job, life style, personality, motivation and attitude is recommended for future research. DOI:10.15408/tazkiya.v22i2.8411

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of self-esteem and social support toward theoptimism for future life of street children‟s at shelter (Rumah Singgah) South Jakarta. Thisstudy is also aimed at identifying the contribution of self-esteem and social support toward theoptimism for future life of street children. This study applied quantitative method usingmultiple regression for data analysis. The population of this study is 400 street children andthe sample size is 250 street children. The sample size consisted of 173 (69,2%) males and 77(30,8%) females, aged form 12 to 18 years. The sample of this study was selected using nonprobability sampling technique. In collecting the data, this study used three instruments. Theyare optimism for future life, self-esteem, and social support in the form of Likert scale model.The findings of the study indicate that there is significant effect of self-esteem and socialsupport toward the optimism for future life of street children with the significance value at0,000 (p > 0,05). The R-square (R2) value is 0,286 which means that about 28,6% of theoptimism for future life of street children is determined by the self-esteem and social support.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of psychological capital and the perceptionof transformational leadership style to the workplace well being of employees.This study uses quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis involvinga sample of 220 civil servants of the Ministry X. The sampling technique usedin this study is a non-probability sampling. To measure workplace wellbeing,researchers compiled independently of workplace wellbeing scale based on thetheory of workplace well being developed by Page (2005). Then, the instrumentused to measure the psychological capital is Psychological Capital Quessionare24 (PCQ-24) developed by Luthans, Youssef & Avolio (2007). Furthermore,measuring instruments used to measure the perception of transformationalleadership is a modification of the measuring instrument multifactor Leadershipquestionnare factor (MLQ). Based on the results of hypothesis testing, firstconclusions obtained from this study is a significant difference of perceptionpsychological capital dan transformational leadership style on workplace wellbeing on the employees of the Ministry X. Then based on the results of tests ofsignificance of each regression coefficient on the dependent variable, there arefour variables were obtained significant regression coefficient values, namely; (1)hope dimension of psychological capital; (2) the dimension idealized influence oftransformational leadership style; (3) the dimensions of intellectual stimulationtransformational leadership style; and (4) individualized consideration dimensionsof transformational leadership style.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the significance of the influence of related variables email (the email work importance, email volume, email management tactics, email overload), type D personality and demographics (gender, occupation, age) against work stress. Participants in this study were employees who use email as a medium job taken with non- probability sampling technique that is convenience sampling. CFA Technique (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) was used to test the validity of measuring instruments and multiple regression analysis was used to test the research hypothesis.This research showed that is significantly related variables email, type D personality, anddemographics (gender, occupation and age) as an influence on work stress. A large proportion of thevariance of work stress described by all independent variables by 46.4%, while the remaining 53.6% isinfluenced by other variables outside of this study. There are three variables that significantly to jobstress, type D personality, gender and occupation. While the variable related to email (email workimportance, email volume, email management tactics, email overload), and age did not significantlyinfluence work stress. Researchers suggest the company should have the data of employees who havepersonality type D, in order to minimize the stress of work on employees. DOI: 10.15408/tazkiya.v22i1.8163

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi intensitas marital conflict seperti variabel kepribadian, dukungan sosial, dan individu serta variabel demografis yaitu jenis kelamin, usia menikah, pendapatan, pendidikan, riwayat perceraian orang tua, riwayat berpacaran. Sampel berjumlah 200 orang yang berusia dewasa dan sudah menikah selama dua tahun atau lebih, yang berdomisili di Jakarta. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis memodifikasi instrumen pengumpulan data, yaitu The Revised Conflict Tactics Scale (CTS2), Big Five Inventory (BFI), The Social Provision Scale, dan Multidimensional Measurement of Religiousness. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan variabel kepribadian, dukungan sosial, religiusitas, dan faktor demografi terhadap intensitas marital conflict. Hasil uji hipotesis minor yang menguji signifikansi masing-masing dimensi dari independent variable terhadap intensitas marital conflict terdapat tiga koefisien regresi yang signifikan, diantaranya religiusitas, faktor demografi usia menikah, dan tipe kepribadian conscentiousness. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan proporsi varians dari intensitas marital conflict yang dijelaskan semua independent variable sebesar 42,8% dan 57,2% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of job satisfaction (the nature of work, promotions, awards, salary, supervision, operational procedures, benefits, co-workers, and communications) and gratitude towards organizational citizenship behavior. Samples in this study as many as 200 employees of Gojumong Restaurant. The approach taken is a quantitative approach, using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is significant influence of variables job satisfaction and gratitude to theorganizational citizenship behavior. Minor hypothesis test results showed that artifacts arethree variables that significantly affect organizational citizenship behavior, namely coworkersand the communication of job satisfaction variables and gratitude. The implications of this research can provide input to the company to add a program tostrengthen the relationships between employees, such as recreation, habituationcommunication on superiors to subordinates and vice versa, and so the reminder to alwaysremind the gratitude like, words or pictures that can grow gratitude on each employeeposted in the locker. DOI: 10.15408/tazkiya.v22i1.8145

Abstract

Ketangguhan mental sebagai kesanggupan untuk bertahan dan mengatasi segala hambatan, kesulitan, atau tekanan serta tetap konsentrasi untuk bertanding menjadi hal yang sangat penting bagi atlet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh motivasi, strategi coping dan optimisme terhadap ketangguhan mental. Uji multiple regresi dilakukan dengan data 210 orang siswa sekolah atlet membuktikan bahwa secara bersama-sama ketiga variable memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan. Dimensi independen variable, yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan adalah berfikir positif dan harapan

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of individual needs on subjective well-being employees in the PPKGBK office (Center for Management of the Bung Karno Complex). This research uses a quantitative approach involving 161 PPKGB employees. Sampling was carried out using probability sampling with accidental sampling technique. The author uses a measuring instrument namely The Modified BBC Subjective Well-Being Scale (BBC-SWB) developed by Kinderman, Schwannauer, Pontin & Tai (2011). The data analysis technique used to answer the research question is multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of the major hypothesis test, the first conclusion obtained from this study is that there is a significant influence between individual needs on subjective well-being of employees at the headquarters of the Bung Karno complex management. Then, based on the results of the minor hypothesis test there are two variables whose regression coefficient values are significant namely: abasement dan achievement, while 14 other variables were not significant.
