Abstract

In the oil and gas industry, one of the key activities is the drilling process where the oil or natural gas are extracted. The process requires the supply of rolled products known as the Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG). As an important drilling component, OCTG has a high demand, which in some case it is not balanced with the optimal distribution route and cost that may affect the industry’s profit. In order to obtain the optimal distribution routes, this research compares transport routes generated by Sweep and Savings Algorithm to solve the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem, by taking an oil and gas company with inefficient OCTG distribution in Sumatera as the object of the study case. Additionally, the total transportation cost is calculated to further compare the results. The research concludes that Sweep Algorithm produces the most efficient routes with the lowest total transportation cost of Rp.18,890,875,000 per year, or 24% less than total cost derived from Savings Algorithm route.

Abstract

One indicator of the success of an entrepreneur can be measured by the innovation he created. It is essential that an entrepreneur has the ability to interact and work together in groups so that innovation can be created. Trust is a social capital that makes internal cooperation work well. Competitive aggressiveness is one of the dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation that is still contractual in its impact on innovation. This study wants to find out the relationship between trust in competitive aggressiveness and innovation and the effect of competitive aggressiveness on innovation. Data collection collected using a questionnaire consisting of two parts, the first in the form of open questions to find out problems or difficulties experienced by students and in the second part in the form of questions with a Likert scale. The data took from students who took entrepreneurship courses at UBAYA university. The data collected amounted to 100 and then processed by PLS-SEM analysis using α = 5%. Abstract

PT Waskita Bumi Wira as the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) is investing in the Krian-Legundi-Bunder-Manyar Toll road with a viability gap fund (VGF) scheme. In the 2016 Toll Road Concession Agreement (PPJT) between BPJT-BUJT-PII, several acceptable investment variables have been agreed, namely: total investment value = Rp12,224,389,000,000, average daily traffic volume (LHR) = 21,874 vehicle / day, loan interest = 12.5%, toll tariff for group 1 = Rp1,250 / km, internal rate of return on equity (IRRonEquity) = 17.64%, payback period of 14 years and net present value (NPV) = Rp. 3,731,695,000,000. During the construction, there was a design change and a delay in land acquisition, this causes cost overrun. With a concession period of 45 years, inaccurate risk factors in the prediction of traffic volume growth rates, specific and non-specific risk factors and other uncertainties greatly affect the investment prospects. Therefore investment needs to be reviewed before this toll road is divested in 2025 by sharpening the minimum attractive rate of return (MARR) and LHR variables, then comparing them with the initial business plan. The estimated selling price of the divestment is also examined in this study. The investment valuation criteria that will be used in the sensitivity analysis are NPV and IRRonEquity. The approach in determining MARR is the use of MARRpremium = 15.81%. Sensitivity analysis with a deterministic approach is carried out to obtain limits on changes in investment costs, land acquisition costs, LHR traffic, loans (syndicated loans) to NPV in several tariff scenarios. This research shows that the NPV value is very sensitive to changes in investment costs. It is also known that in the toll tariff scenario according to PPJT compensation can be given in one of the conditions: investment costs increase by more than 7%, LHR traffic is less than 75%, or an increase in loans (syndicated loans) of more than 9%. The analysis of the stochastic approach shows that the probability of not exceeding the investment budget revenue limits due to changes of 37.29% to 46.56%.

Abstract

Being world-class company not happen by only having effective business processes or good quality and competitive products, but it's about how the company focus on the character or DNA of the company. Culture can be defined as the group’s DNA such as genes to support the autoimmune system for enhance company’s growth. Positive organization culture can boost the employee engagement. How it would be? Appropriate culture activation program should leads to what the company wants. When assign employee engagement and satisfaction dimension and attribute, authors take the model from secondary data from EES (Employee Engagement and Satisfaction) Report 2014-2018 of PT Telkom Indonesia. Human resource (HR) is a function that fight for the company success story because the company's assets are employees. Predictive analytics complements various techniques (statistics, modeling, data mining) by considering the latest facts or company strategy and historical conditions of the company to make predictions about the future. From EES Report the dimensions and attributes are processed into statistical processing as done in predictive analytics. Set engagement and satisfaction as an outcome. And the strong correlation attribute would become the key for culture activation plan that suitable with corporate strategy to enhance employee engagement. The strong correlation attribute from this statistical processing are leadership, career path, and promote product awareness. Then appropriate culture activation program should lead suitable with that strong attributes. The author assume that 95% employees can join this culture activation, therefore with use the strong predictive correlation attribute for culture activation the employee engagement would increase 8,24%, and employee satisfaction would growth 6,95% than 2018

Abstract

Maritime workers are workers who are regulated internationally through the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006 which has been ratified by the Indonesian government through Law No. 15 of 2016. In the convention regulated aspects include health care on ships and land, social security, welfare facilities on land, access to seafarers' complaints, protection of health and safety, and accident prevention. This study aims to evaluate the application of the convention so far through the gap analysis method and index performance analysis (IPA). Gap analysis is used to get the difference between the performances and expectations of the respondents. To see the variables that need to be improved, maintained, not a priority for improvement or variables that are above expectation then used the IPA model. This research examines how seafarers' performances and expectations are related to the implementation of MLC in Indonesia, especially in the aspects of health care, social security, and welfare on board. The results show that almost all research variables suggest a gap although relatively small in value. First, it can be summarized that there are several variables that need to be improved such as Protection and health care, Hospitals on board, and complaints. These variable variables need to get attention for future improvements. There are several variables that need to be maintained such as visit a doctor, health, sick, disability, opportunity to use telephone and internet access, procedures for handling complaints, occupational health and safety (OHS), risk assessment, and safety meetings. Last, variables that are considered excessive in implementation should also get the attention that is medical

Abstract

The failure of some financial institutions can cause other banks to go bankrupt, and ultimately cause damage to the financial system throughout the world. Bankrupt is a condition in which a company suffers from a lack of funds to run its business. The paper is conceptual and the design of this research is qualitative method based on a theoretical review from many kinds of literature and previous researches related to this concept. There are two basic theories about (1) signaling theory for providing better information and positive signals about the company, as well as negative signals to and (2) the margin pressure theory for measuring about the risk of negative effects from internal or external forces on a company's profitability margins. This study aimed to determine the significant contribution of internal factors such as size, equity to total asset, loan to asset ratio, cost to income ratio, loan loss reserves, and from external factors such as gross domestic product growth, and inflation in predicting bankruptcy bank after the Global Financial Crisis. The researcher believes that the proposition of this study results can be tested empirically mainly in the banking industry
