Abstract

Number of researchers reported that Palm Oil Fuel Ash (POFA) and Fly Ash (FA) can be used as supplementary cementing material (SCM) in concrete. Both materials have their own significant effects on the properties of concrete and have been accepted by using them for the improvement of workability and strength of concrete. However, studies showed that FA has better pozzolanic properties than POFA. Hence, properties of mortars blended with POFA (untreated and treated) as binary blend (CUP and CTP) and ternary blend that combined with FA (CUPF and CTPF) as cement replacement were investigated. Unground POFA has been used in this study. CUPF and CTPF resulted in significant improvement in the pozzolanic activity compared to CUP and CTP of mortar mix. Pozzolanic activity of ternary blend mortar achieved the specified pozzolanic activity index of 75% based on ASTM C618. Compressive strength of the C80P15F5 concrete with 15% of treated POFA + 5% of FA by weight of binder showed a slightly higher result compared to the control mix. It is suggested that the combination of POFA and FA as pozzolanic material will improves the mechanical properties of mortars and concrete.

Abstract

Airlangga University has implemented ISO 27001: 2013 in asset-based information security governance, covering information assets, software assets, hardware assets, and human resources assets. However, many vulnerabilities in university computing systems can not be mitigated properly, as evidenced by the continued hacking of university computing systems. It shows that the results of hacking tests on university computing systems are not identified in more detail and are not included in university risk management. The purpose of this research is to build a university information security risk management framework using OCTAVE method based on ISO / EIC 27001: 2013. This research uses the OCTAVE framework to build a risk management framework model. The measurement method will be done by qualitative method to measure the severity and the likelihood of each asset and quantitative method to measure the potential loss on the cost of each asset. The results of this research are expected to provide an information security risk management framework, so that the vulnerability and financial lost analysis of each asset can be a risk, and risk mitigation plans on each asset may consider vulnerability and return of investment

Abstract

Culinary business development is now growing quite rapidly, Surabaya became one of the target markets of domestic and foreign businessmen in culinary business. The high competition in the culinary business is a powerful reason to apply the right business strategy to be able to survive and win the competition. One of the method that can be used in offering business strategy is the Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS). By identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) of the business strategy and then designing the blue ocean strategy which is taken as a metaphor to represent these industries that may offer greater opportunity or higher profit potential. This is the goal of blue ocean strategy, to search for and gain unexplored market space instead of engage in traditional competition. The object of observations in this study is spicy noodle business. This study aimed atdeveloping a business strategy formulation with BOS and providing alternative solutions for business development to the management that agree with the socio-cultural conditions of Surabaya. The results showed that there are two strategies that should be eliminated, like the strategiesof offeringfranchise without royalty fees and no separation of smoking and non-smoking area. There are three strategies that should be reduced, such as reducing educative wall posters, reducting door prizes and photo contest, and reducing the amount of franchise. There are six strategies that can be improved, namely increasing serving time, being efficient of tables arrangement, providing employment for local residents, strategic location closes to several colleges, photobooth (selfie corner) for consumers and increasing the uniquenessconcept of the shop. The alternative solutions of business development can be done by adding facilities such as Wi-Fi connection and air conditioning (AC) installationto comfort theconsumers, guest comment (online and offline suggestion box), and membership (visitors’ ID).

Abstract

Understanding the concept of using the highest and best market is essential. Market forces will determine the creation of market value. To reach the equilibrium point, what the stakeholder wants is their desire is accep and provide optimal satisfaction (utility). To develop into a commercial property area it is necessary to analyse the most feasible and permitted land use permits, financially feasible and highest land productivity. Highest and best use (HBU) with feasibility requires interrelated criteria, therefore data and indirect consideration are required in additional research. Analytic Network Process (ANP) is a decision-making problem. It cannot be structured hierarchically because it leads to interaction and determines a higher level in the lower element. Not only are criteria that define alternatives as in hierarchy, but this is also an alternative can be important by using Analytic Network Process (ANP). This Paper is a conceptual based on literature review. A set of previous research are analysis to get the synthesis of the highest and best use (HBU) and the analytic network process (ANP) on land productivity decision making. A model is resulted to present the combination of four criteria of HBU into ANP

Abstract

Indonesia, as a developing country, has many slum areas. Over the years, there have been many projects specifically targeting the improvement of slum areas, both at a national or regional level. One example of such project can be observed in Malang City, East Java, where visual improvements of a slum area is attempted by the application of colorfull paints throughout the settlements. Two of the initial projects are Jodipan and Ksatrian Village that are located on the riverside area of Brantas River, one of the biggest river in East Java. The original idea firstly came to Jodipan Village to improve the cleanliness of the area. As the Jodipan Village improved, this village became a local tourism area. Due to its success, the painting project was then adopted to the Ksatrian Village across the river. Before the project, the residents of the villages were used to throw their municipal solid waste to the river. Since the improvement projects ran, it has been found that the improvement can be linked to residents’ awareness for municipal solid waste management. This study focuses on the correlation of visual improvement and behavior change of municipal solid waste; and the differences between the correlations in each village (Jodipan and Ksatrian). A descriptive model was done by observation and questionnaire to the 48 residents of Jodipan Village and 69 residents of Ksatrian Village, with a tolerance for error of 0,1 and confidence level of 90%.

Abstract

The high population density in Vietnam create many challenges in its urban development and supply of residential housing. To accommodate the large population, the buildings tend to go vertical and high density to maximize the development ratio in the limited land space and in the conservation of natural geomorphology. The high density of building blocks reduces the permeability for wind penetration. In the extreme case, the housing estate becomes a wind-obstructing structure that could be causing to environmental problems and health hazard due to low level of ventilation follow. So, a better understanding about wind flow in urban areas could help resolve some of the main difficulties that a designer might encounter to improve the geometries of urban areas. Therefore, this article performs the simulation methodology using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools in ANSYS FLUENT software to carry out the urban wind environment in the simple planning and design urban areas. The studied parameters were wind velocity 10 m/s in the case of straight wind and in the case of 450-cross wind. CFD is an effective and efficient tool to visualize a flow phenomenon of a particular flow problem. The advanced computational technique could calculate the fluid properties at all points defined within the model domain, providing a complete set of data within the model. However, it is important to highlight that CFD technologies have not been completely reliable as model assumptions are still unavoidable for the present computational technologies to resolve turbulent flows. Understanding the limitations of CFD is crucial to reduce numerical errors and realize possible erroneous data in the model.

Abstract

The 4.0 industrial revolution allows people to make payments using mobile devices which is called mobile payment. Mobile payment users in Indonesia have enlarged a significant improvement in the last few years. However, the use of mobile payment in Indonesia has not dominated yet. Most of the payments that they use are ATM Transfers, debit cards, and internet banking. These indicate the lack of continuance intention in using a mobile payment. The aim of this study is to examine the effects of mobile payments dimension (mobility, customization, security, reputation), service quality toward continuance intention through trust, and also the effects of trust toward continuance intention through perceived risk. The data used in this study are obtained through a research questionnaire. Respondents in this study were 170 Go-Pay and OVO users domiciled in Surabaya who made transactions with Go-Pay and OVO at least twice in the last few months. The sampling method of this study was non-probability sampling. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method for statistical test. SEM analysis was carried out using the Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS). The results of this study indicate that mobility and security have a significant positive effect on trust. On the other hand customization, reputation, and service quality do not affect trust. Trust has a significant positive effect on continuance intention and perceived risk. Meanwhile, the perceived risk made a significant negative effect on continuance intention.
