Abstract

In order to support offshore aquaculture in Indonesia, a floating net cage is being developed by Pusat Studi Kelautan ITS and will be placed in Sidoasri Village, Malang, Indonesia. The use of floating net cage will shift the habits of the fishermen. It will be very for the effort of developing the floating net cage if it will be rejected by the fishermen. Therefore, it is important to measure the factors influencing fishermen intention as a potential user to use the cage. In this paper, Technology Acceptance Model is integrated with Theory of Reasoned Action to identify the factors. The findings of this study, obtained that fishermen intentions to use floating net cage is influenced by their attitude and subjective norm, while perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have a role to affect the intentions indirectly

Abstract

Public Works Education and Training Center in Region IV of Surabaya is one of work units from education and training center, ministry of public work. It has a role as the organizer of any educational and training as the administrator of non-taxable revenue. Public Works Education and Training Center in Region IV of Surabaya has building which can be used by the internal institute or by the public through the non-taxable revenue fee. However, the property itself is not sufficient compare to the activities held. It caused the utilization of the building is not optimal. The aim of this research is to analyze the strategy of improving the utilization of public work education and training center building area IV Surabaya. The method used in deciding the strategy was by analyzing the internal and external factors through SWOT method. The analysis process of the internal and external factors was done by using the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method; they were determining the internal and external factors, evaluating them, and developing strategy. The FGD was attended by the internal authorities. By using the Grand Strategy Matrix would be gained the grand strategy of improving the utilization of the building, which then the derivative strategy was analyzed based on the highest score in EFI and EFE matrix. The result is the organization position in the big strategy matrix was in the first quadrant which encourages the aggressive growth. The grand strategies which believed suitable to the organization condition were the market development, market penetration, and product improvement.

Abstract

Abstrak PROPER merupakan Program Penilaian Peringkat Kinerja Perusahaan oleh  Kementerian Negara Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan yang merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mendorong dan mengevaluasi penaatan perusahaan dalam pengelolaan lingkungan hidup. Metode yang diterapkan pada PROPER dilakukan secara bertahap yaitu kategori ketaatan (peringkat hitam, merah dan biru) dan lebih dari ketaatan (peringkat hijau dan emas). Kategori lebih dari ketaatan memiliki salah satu kriteria penting yaitu kriteria inovasi, dimana industri yang telah memiliki inovasi dalam pengelolaan lingkungan akan berpotensi untuk mendapatkan peringkat hijau/emas. Efektivitas PROPER dalam memicu munculnya inovasi teknologi yang ramah lingkungan dapat dilihat dengan pendekatan jumlah peserta yang ikut, peringkat yang diperoleh dan jumlah inovasi yang dihasilkan dari PROPER. Jumlah peserta PROPER 2015 mencapai 2.076 peserta yang berarti mengalami peningkatan rata-rata pertahun sebesar 28% sejak sepuluh tahun terakhir. Persentase ketaatan peserta PROPER mengalami peningkatan hingga tahun 2015 mencapai 74%. Peringkat lebih dari ketaatan mencapai 120 peserta dengan jumlah total inovasi yang dihasilkan sebanyak 151 inovasi diberbagai bidang seperti efisiensi energi, penurunan beban pencemar udara, 3R limbah B3, 3R limbah padat Non B3, efisiensi air dan penurunan beban pencemar air, keanekaragaman hayati, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa PROPER sudah sesuai sebagai alat evaluasi dan pemicu inovasi teknologi Industri.

Abstract

Pada Kecamatan Simokerto tercatat 1.186 kepala keluarga atau sekitar 26,6% masih membuang air limbah domestik (black water dan grey water) langsung ke badan air atau saluran drainase tanpa ada pengolahan. Kondisi sanitasi di Kecamatan Simokerto dapat dikatakan belum sesuai dengan target Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) tahun 2015-2019, salah satunya yakni 100% sanitasi yang layak. Oleh sebab itu, perlu adanya upaya perbaikan sanitasi yakni merencanakan instalasi pengolahan air limbah domestik (black water dan grey water) di Kecamatan Simokerto dan biaya yang dibutuhkan.  Instalasi pengolahan air limbah domestik yang digunakan untuk Kecamatan Simokerto, yakni Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (ABR). Perencanaan ABR berdasarkan pada kebutuhan lahan, pembangunan, pengoperasian, perawatan, biaya investasi, dan efisiensi. Penentuan debit air limbah berdasarkan hasil survei yakni 146 liter/orang/hari dan kualitas air limbah domestik BOD, COD, TSS, dan pH yang digunakan dalam perencanaan yakni 494 mg/l, 799 mg/l, 473 mg/l, dan 6,8 dengan kapasitas pengolahan untuk 100 KK.Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (ABR) yang direncanakan memiliki 6 kompartemen dengan diameter pipa inlet 110 mm. Dimensi panjang, lebar, dan kedalaman ABR yakni 13,2 meter, 2,6 meter, dan 2,6 meter. Biaya yang dibutuhkan dalam pembangunan ABR ini adalah sebesar Rp. 173.700.000,00.

Abstract

Jaringan transportasi darat seperti jalan raya suatu wilayah mempunyai hubungan erat dengan kesejahteraan pada wilayah tersebut. Jaringan transportasi jalan yang baik diharapkan dapat memperbaiki aksesibilitas suatu wilayah, sehingga tingkat kesejahteraan menjadi ebih baik (PDRB tinggi). Demikian pula hal nya untuk wilayah Provinsi Jawa Timur yang mempunyai 30 kota / kabupaten dengan 43 ruas jalan nasional sepanjang 3038 Km , perlu diketahui tingkat aksesibilitas ke seluruh wilayah kota/kabupaten tersebut. Penelitian ini berusaha mengetahui wilayah yang mempunyai aksesibilitas tinggi  dan  aksesibilitas rendah.  Prioritas jalan harus  dilakukan pada  wilayah  kota/  kabupaten yang aksesibilitasnya rendah. Permasalahan wilayah mana yang mempunyai akasesbilitas yang tinggi dan aksesibilitas rendah Kemudian solusi apa yang harus dilakukan untuk wilayah kota/kabupaten yang aksesibilitasnya rendah Bagaiman model hubungan tingkat aksesibilitas dengan kesejahteraan wilayah (PDRB) Berapa besar Indeks Alpha Jaringan JalanTersebut.Langkah awal yang dilakukan adalah mengumpulkan data primer dan atau sekunder (travel time), yang selanjutnya  data   waktu perjalanan  antar wilayah (travel time ) tersebut  dicari lintasan terpendeknya menjadi matrix  hubungan   antar  wilayah  dengan  sel matrix berupa  waktu perjalanan terpendek (travel time) antar wilayah. Kemudian dengan indeks Shimbel  dapat   ditentukan   wilayah   yang   mempunyai aksesbilitas   tinggi dan aksesibilitas  rendah. Penentuan prioritas pembangunan/ pemeliharaan  jalan dalam upaya untuk perbaikan aksesibilitas  dapat  ditentukan  dari  tingkat   aksesibilitas  wilayah  tersebut Selanjutnya  dibuat  hubungan Aksesibilitas dengan kesejatraan wilayah.Hasil yang diperoleh melalui penelitian ini berupa infomasi wilayah kabupaten/kota di Jawa Timur yang mempunyai  aksesibilitas  tinggi  seperti  Mojokerto  (total  travel  time  5879  menit)  dan  wilayah yang mempunyai aksesibilitas rendah seperti Banyuwangi (total travel time 14057 menit), sehingga dapat ditentukan prioritas pembangunan infrastruktur jalan dalam beberapa tahapan sesuai kemampuan anggaran yang tersediaa untuk perbaikan aksesbilitas wilayah Kota/ Kabupaten di Propinsi Jawa Timur. Model hubungan anatara tingkat aksesibilitas dengan tingkat kesejahteraan wilayah ditunjukkan dalam persamaan  Y=  301539x + 2E+08, R2= 0.1167          artinya peranan infratruktur jalan dalam kesejahteraan wilayah sebesar       11,67  %, sisanya sebesar 88,33 % dipengaruhi oleh infrastruktur transportasi lainnya. Karena itu perlu dilakukan penelitian pengaruh infrastruktur transportasi lain    bersama dengan infrastruktur jalan terhadap kesejahteraan wilayah (PDRB).  Indeks  Aksesibilitas/  mobilitas  menunjukan angka   masing2  sebesar  0,063>0,05  (syarat)  dan 0,00007<0,005 (syarat), sedangkan Indeks Alpha Jaringan Jalan menunjukkan angka 0,26. Penambahan Jaringan Jalan akan menambah angka-angka tersebut atau kondisi jalan menjadi lebih baik

Abstract

This paper discusses an underwater vehicle named Kapal Tempur Bawah Air (KTBA). This vehicle needs INS and GPS  to know attitude, orientation, acceleration, velocity, and position. INS can provide attitude and movement data as well as long distance. INS on KTBA is implemented using Sublocus inertial sensor developed by Advanced Navigation. To know the navigation data, needed a process called interfacing. This process need a processor to read the data from inertial sensor. The processor to be used is Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. Besides data processing, need a user interface for the process that occurred. Therefore, this paper designed a Graphical User Interface for inertial navigation system. This interface design uses PyQt libraries with Python programming. The GUI testing is done by calculating the frame rate per second. The test results have different 56.83 % between Personal Computer and Raspberry Pi.

Abstract

Architecture of an ancient house in Kampong’s Surabaya is one of the folk architecture creations in urban areas that grow and follow dynamics of urban development. In some of the city areas, this architecture is still sustainable for living space of city residents, especially for lower and middle class. Kampong as city villages has a high adaptability to development within the city so that it can adjust to future conditions efficiently. Cultures living in kampong require an appropriate strategy in associating with various limitations. However, limitation does not make a typical house in kampong uncomfortable and unlivable. Bioclimatic adaptation can be one of the strategies in development of typical ancient houses in kampong. It seems that typical ancient house in Surabaya City is influenced by tradition and style of Javanese, Colonial and Modern Architecture. Bioclimatic strategy is a design approach that considers the relationship of architecture to climate, biology, technology, in order to obtain comfort and energy efficiency. The form and performance of ancient house architecture in Surabaya City with a bioclimatic approach with occupant spatial interaction is an interesting topic for this study. This study uses quantitative and qualitative research which is descriptive research using field study and description method to explain the interaction between building and its occupant that creates architecture of residential houses and its transformation. Bioclimatic adaptation as a design strategy allows a unique form architecture, climate responsive and environmentally friendly. Usaha untuk merubah citra Dolly dan Jarak sebagai eks-lokalisasi yang dulunya terkenal dan terbesar se-Asia Tenggara di Kelurahan Putat Jaya, Kecamatan Sawahan, Kota Surabaya, tidak pernah henti dilakukan. Menjadikan daerah Dolly dan Jarak sebagai kampung Wisata Edukasi yang mumpuni serta menopang pokok ekonomi, merupakan impian seluruh warga beserta Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Surabaya. Pada kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat berbasis Penelitian kali ini, pengabdi berupaya untuk melakukan diversifikasi produk olahan rumput laut berupa aneka makanan beku yang praktis, sehat dan higienis.

Abstract

Global warming issue has forced the construction world including architecture to find the green material in order to minimize CO2 which damages to the nature. In the beginning, wood was one of the green material but it has long growth cycle. Lately, bamboo has been chosen for its fast growing cycle and resuming some wood properties, also known as local material and eco-friendly –benign to the nature. Generally, wood and bamboo are composed by carbon-based compound. So, they are combustible and flammable when they are exposed to the fire. Up to now, there are not so many studies regarding the fire behavior of raw round bamboo which is used as the structure. To investigate the effectiveness of bamboo protection layer, the nine-trunk bamboos will be tied up to construct the column. A one bamboo will be placed in the middle and surrounded by the other eight-bamboos –as the protection layer of the center. All of them are with no-fire retardant. By doing this, it is possible to obtain knowledge upon bamboo on its natural properties. Specimen will be exposed to the fire inside the furnace up to 700° C. The temperature changing on the specimen will be measured by thermocouples which are installed inside and outside the wall of main bamboo in the center part. The main bamboo is expected to have lower temperature than its auto-ignition temperature, so that the structure will be able stand out during the fire until the occupants able to be evacuated safely.

Abstract

The wire-mesh sensor is an intrusive sensor device that uses for generating 2-dimensional (2D) images of fluid flow. Sensors made of 2 layers copper wires, transmitter, and receiver, that perpendicular each other. The wire-mesh sensor will directly to measure the value of inductance or capacitance at the crossing wire. There are 208 data measurements in 16 × 16 cylindrical wire-mesh sensors. All data measurement then processed by Python software to obtain a 2D image of the capacitance distribution. Experiment results show the inhomogeneous distribution of capacitance that occurs in the wire-mesh sensor. Three types of liquids, distilled water, tap water and salt solution, showed circular pattern of capacitance distribution, with the highest capacitance value being in the central area of the image, while at edge area has a lower capacitance value than the central area
