As users of services in the field of education, student satisfaction needs to be a priority and attention in providing service. This paper aims to analyze student perceptions of service quality and analyze the effect of service quality gaps on the expectations of students of the MM-UTY Program, with a case study in the Master of Management Study Program of the Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta (Prodi MM-UTY). The concept used as the analysis was service quality, with data collection methods carried out through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The analytical method used to test the research instrument was factor analysis to test the construct validity and reliability. The results of this study indicate the perception of student satisfaction with the quality of services conducted by the Prodi MM-UTY. Likewise, the average Gap score is positive so that the quality of service at this time is sufficient to meet the expectations and desires of students, which in general need to be maintained. However, partially, there are still some services in Prodi MM-UTY experiencing gaps so that it is necessary to improve the quality of sustainable services.

Abstract

This research is essential to contribute to the minimarket with campus brands, which live and thrive in the campus environment to better understand the marketing mix factors that influence purchasing decisions. The campus is expected to provide a special image for consumers. This research discusses the marketing mix factors on consumer purchasing decisions in minimarkets with campus brands in the Banyumas Regency, namely Boersa Kampus (Unsoed), Top Campus (Unsoed, UMP), Kopkun Swalayan (Unsoed), Indo Kampus (STAIN), and UeMPe Mart (UMP). The factors used were the product, price, promotion, service, and place/location. The sample used amounted to 100 respondents who were consumers with more than 17 years of age. The sampling employed non-probability with a purposive sampling technique, and data analysis utilized multiple linear regression. The adjusted R-square value indicates that the dependent variable was influenced by the independent variable by 54.3%. The results showed that the product, price, promotion, service, and place/location variables simultaneously determined purchase decision. Partially, product and place/location variables determined positively and significantly towards purchasing decisions, while price, promotion, and service variables did not affect purchase decisions. Future research can be carried out using the campus brand as a mediating variable.

Abstract

Research aims: The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of Gross Domestic Product, exchange rate, and distance on the meat import performance of ASEAN countries both partially and simultaneously.Design/Methodology/Approach: Purposive sampling method was adopted to determine the research sample. The data used were the annual secondary data of ASEAN countries in the period of 2012-2018, collected from trademap.org, World Bank, and macmap.org. Multiple Linear Regression was employed to analyze the data.Research findings: The regression analysis results showed that GDP and exchange rate did not affect meat import performance. Meanwhile, distance had a partially significant negative effect on meat import. However, GDP, exchange rate, and distance had a significant effect on meat imports simultaneously.Theoretical contribution: Previous researchers have used economic distance in their study to see its impact on imports. Nevertheless, there has not been much research done using geographical distance as an antecedent variable. The distant market has to incur large-fixed costs, which can only be supported if the export value is large. The negative impact of distance on imported meat must be taken seriously. AANZFTA supposedly gives a contribution to the member countries thoroughly to export goods and services. It is to increase per capita income so that it can be used to improve the transportation system.Implication policy: ASEAN officials are suggested to encourage the member countries to provide better transportation facilities to eliminate geographical distance barriers and further support SMEs and other business actors' engagement. Due to the limitation of this research, it is suggested that further research should consider using other commodities to measure the import performance.

International Financial Cooperation today may require a more complex preparation than ever, particularly in the era of globalization. It is known that the global economy may bring about changing socio-economic, cultural, technological, and political condition of many countries, whilst the globalization itself has often surpassed domestic circumstances among nations which consequently leads to the need of providing a more advance principles of international financial cooperation. Regardless to these changing circumstances, the international financial cooperation may differ in nature which relatively depends on the types and objectives of the international institution involved. On the other sides, the literatures on international policy coordination are vast and multifaceted (there is no one size fits for all). However, there are some basic conditions that can be shared in common. Based on the study of various literatures, it is found that the challenges of international financial cooperation today may encircle not only about the readiness of the nation states, institutions, and related projects in utilizing the international financial cooperation, but it may also include other variuos aspects such as an optimal structure of cooperation agreement, a pattern of compliance with cooperation agreements, principles for cross border cooperation on crisis management, sharing rules of the costs of future interventions, and perhaps specific issues and barriers. All of these challenges and barriers certainly need coordinated actions to ensure that the optimal objectives of the international financial cooperation are achieved. Thus, these pre-requisite conditions should be embraced in the more advance guiding principles of the international financial cooperation. As such, the relevant authorities, including supervisory agencies, central banks, and finance ministries will also be able to tackle a severe stress in case of sudden financial crisis and managing them successfully.
