Abstract

Literacy competence encompasses not only the ability to read and write, but also the capacity to comprehend information and apply knowledge across various life contexts. However, the literacy level of elementary school students remains relatively low, particularly in terms of reading comprehension and writing skills. Therefore, strengthening literacy competence is essential to support students’ understanding and communication abilities. This study aims to develop web-based interactive digital media to enhance students’ literacy skills in Indonesian language learning. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study involves 30 elementary school students and two Indonesian language teachers as participants. Data were collected through expert validation and practicality tests using questionnaires and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis. The main findings indicate that the development of web-based interactive digital media using the ADDIE model successfully produces a high-quality, valid, and practical product for literacy learning in elementary schools. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the developed media is both valid and practical in improving students’ literacy skills. Furthermore, the implications of this study reinforce constructivist learning theory, which emphasizes that learning becomes more effective when students are actively engaged in the learning process. Interactive media has proven to support student-centered learning.

Abstract

Currently, the whole world is concerned about diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria because they can be fatal if not treated immediately. Therefore, a strategy is needed to prevent bacterial growth, including the development of new antibacterial agents. This study aims to develop Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) using the bioreductant Tamarindus indica extract as an antibacterial agent. This study includes laboratory experimental research. The experiment began with preparing Tamarindus indica extract, followed by the preparation of AgNPs using the coprecipitation method. The successful formation of AgNPs was confirmed by XRD, which showed an FCC structure with a crystal size of 32.63 nm and a lattice parameter of 4.08 Å. Furthermore, the FTIR spectrum also confirmed the presence of the main functional group of AgNPs, namely Ag–O. In addition, the EDX results also confirmed the presence of an Ag energy peak from AgNPs. AgNPs have a morphology in the form of spherical particles with an average size of 45.55 nm. The antibacterial agent performance of AgNPs has been tested using the well diffusion method. The analysis results showed that AgNPs have inhibition zone diameters of 12.98, 14.44, 13.64, and 18.98 mm for Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, respectively. These results indicate that AgNPs using Tamarindus indica extract as a bioreductant exhibit good antibacterial activity and could serve as an alternative, environmentally friendly antibacterial agent.

Abstract

Hospital wastewater generally contains high levels of organic compounds and nitrogen, with COD and ammonia values exceeding environmental quality standards. Conventional treatment methods are often suboptimal, requiring efficient and stable alternative technologies. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the effects of variations in nylon mass fraction on the performance of ultrafiltration membranes, including swelling degree, flux, and rejection capacity for reducing COD and ammonia. This study is a laboratory experiment using a membrane mass-fraction variation design. The study included five types of nylon membranes (A–E) that were tested using hospital wastewater samples. The membranes were synthesized by the phase inversion method, and performance testing was conducted via ultrafiltration, swelling measurements, permeate flux, and analyses of COD and ammonia. Data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively using rejection coefficients and operational stability values. The results showed that increasing the nylon mass fraction decreased the degree of swelling and flux, but increased rejection up to optimum conditions. Membrane D showed the best performance in reducing COD and ammonia and had better stability. These findings indicate that optimizing the nylon mass fraction could improve the effectiveness of membrane-based treatment of hospital wastewater.

Abstract

Drone flight activity and inventory recording in uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) service providers is still dominated by manual methods and separate local systems. This condition risks recording errors and hinders operational data integration and access. This study aims to develop a SaaS-based multi-tenant information system for drone activity and inventory recording. This type of research is Research and Development with a Rapid Application Development (RAD) design. The research subjects included one drone company owner to inform the formulation of system requirements, while the researcher conducted trials independently using an access load simulation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature reviews, with Apache JMeter as the testing tool and the stress testing method. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and qualitatively. The results of the study show the system is stable at low to medium loads and remains functional at high loads despite performance degradation. The study's conclusions indicate that the system can replace manual recording in web-based drone operational management. This study provides an overview of the application of a multi-tenant SaaS architecture to support centralized drone flight and inventory data management, while ensuring security and data isolation between organizations.

Abstract

The problem that occurs in the Jembatan 2 River is that the river is cloudy every day. The problem around the Jembatan II River is the high rate of erosion and sedimentation rate due to forest degradation in the upstream of the Sentani Watershed. This research was conducted in the Jembatan 2 River, Jayapura Regency. This research aims to analyze the water quality status of Lake Sentani, (2) Analyze the water quality status of the Jembatan II River. The data collection method is measuring river water samples and the strategy analysis method uses a SWOT questionnaire. The data analysis technique is the Pollution Index (IP) method and the SWOT method. The results of the study show that the water quality status of Lake Sentani has been lightly polluted with a Pollution Index value of 3.1. The Jembatan 2 River has been lightly polluted with a Pollution Index of 3.12. The parameters that have exceeded the quality standards in the Jembatan 2 River are the TSS, BOD, COD, and PO4-P parameters. The recommended policy model is the WT (Weaknesses-Threats) strategy with coordinates (-0.72; -0.80), the policy recommendations are to maximize the natural potential of the lake so that the community around the lake does not encroach on the forest, the need for effective reforestation in the Cycloop CA buffer zone, the implementation of building regulations on the right and left of the river, river revitalization at the inlet of Lake Sentani, regular socialization of regulations to the community around the area, and rehabilitation of critical lands in the buffer zone.

Abstract

The limitations of synthetic polymer-based supercapacitor separators, which are less environmentally friendly and negatively affect performance, represent a major challenge in the development of sustainable energy storage systems. In addition, liquid waste from the tofu–tempeh industry, which has not been optimally utilized, poses a potential risk of environmental pollution. This study aims to analyze, evaluate, and optimize the utilization of nata de soya membranes as bio-based separators, as well as to examine the effect of variations in monovalent sulfate electrolytes on the structural and electrochemical performance of supercapacitors. This research employs an experimental method with a post-test only design. The research subjects consist of nata de soya membranes treated with three electrolyte variations, namely K₂SO₄, Na₂SO₄, and (NH₄)₂SO₄, each tested in three repetitions. Data were collected through structural characterization using SEM and EDX, and electrochemical performance testing using CV, EIS, and GCD with standardized laboratory instruments. Data analysis was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative approaches by comparing the performance of each electrolyte variation. The results indicate that the (NH₄)₂SO₄ electrolyte produces the highest specific capacitance and the lowest internal resistance, supported by a more porous membrane structure. It can be concluded that nata de soya has strong potential as an environmentally friendly separator with optimal performance. The implications of this study support the development of sustainable energy materials based on biomass waste.

Abstract

The main problem this research addresses is the low vitality of MSMEs following the socio-economic transformation brought about by the construction of reservoirs, which altered livelihood patterns and market structures. This situation is exacerbated by the suboptimal training in entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and entrepreneurial behavior, which impacts business sustainability. This study aims to analyze and examine the effects of entrepreneurship training, digital literacy, and entrepreneurial behavior on business resilience. A quantitative approach with a survey design was employed. The research subjects consisted of MSME actors in areas affected by reservoir development, selected using proportionate stratified sampling to ensure representation across business strata. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire as the primary research instrument. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine the relationships among variables within the proposed model. The findings indicate that the levels of entrepreneurship training, digital literacy, and entrepreneurial behavior among local MSMEs are generally moderate, with entrepreneurship training demonstrating the most significant direct effect on business resilience. The practical implications highlight the necessity of integrated and sustainable training program designs by government agencies and supporting institutions to enhance MSME capacity. In conclusion, MSME resilience is positively influenced by the synergistic integration of entrepreneurship training, digital literacy, and entrepreneurial behavior.

Abstract

Gluten-free bread is an important alternative for individuals with gluten intolerance or celiac disease. However, it still faces challenges in achieving a texture comparable to that of wheat-based bread and in its functional properties, especially its antioxidant activity. The use of local flour has potential as a solution but requires formulation optimization to achieve balanced physical and functional qualities. This study aims to analyze and optimize the combination of local flours in producing gluten-free bread with the highest specific volume characteristics and antioxidant activity. This study was an experimental study with a mixed design. The subjects included red rice flour, mung bean flour, and Cilembu sweet potato flour as the main ingredients of the formulation, with varying proportions based on the mixed design. The specific volume of bread (mL/g) and antioxidant activity (DPPH inhibition percentage) were then statistically analyzed to evaluate the effect of each component. The results showed that mung bean flour did not significantly affect specific volume or antioxidant activity. The two best formulations were obtained by combining red rice flour and Cilembu sweet potato flour. The formulation with a higher proportion of red riceflour produced the highest specific volume, 3.12 mL/g, with relatively lower antioxidant activity (3743%). In comparison, the formulation with a higher proportion of Cilembu sweet potato flour showed higher antioxidant activity (4636%) with a lower specific volume (2.58 mL/g). From this study, it can be concluded that the combination of red riceflour and Cilembu sweet potato flour has the potential to produce functional, gluten-free bread with physical and bioactive characteristics that add value using local ingredients.

Abstract

The utilization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in distribution companies is often not fully integrated with business processes and quality management systems, resulting in operational inefficiencies and weak service control. This condition indicates a gap between the potential of ERP as an integrated system and actual practices that still rely on manual processes and informal coordination. This study aims to analyze, evaluate, and formulate improvement recommendations for the maturity of ERP-related business processes during the post-implementation phase through the integration of the CMMI v3.0 model and the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The research employs a mixed-method approach with an evaluative–diagnostic design. The research subjects consisted of six assessors, three validators, and twenty-seven process users directly involved in operational and service activities. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, questionnaires based on CMMI–ISO indicators, direct observation, and document review as supporting instruments. Data analysis was conducted using evidence-based SCAMPI C appraisal, quantitative descriptive analysis, and thematic qualitative analysis. The findings indicate that most practice areas remain at initial to basic capability levels, with a high dependence on manual work, weak service governance, and direct impacts on SLA compliance and service timeliness. Overall, the study concludes that the integration of CMMI v3.0 and ISO 9001:2015 is effective as a framework for evaluating and improving the maturity of ERP processes in the post-implementation phase. The implications of this study provide practical guidance for organizations to optimize ERP utilization, strengthen process governance, and foster a quality-oriented culture of continuous improvement.

Abstract

The relatively low mechanical strength of pure aluminum limits its use as a structural material. Efforts to improve these properties through the addition of alloying elements still require a deeper understanding, particularly regarding the role of Mg on microstructure and hardness. This study aims to analyze the composition of an Al99-x-Zn alloy with optimal Mg variations to improve mechanical properties. This type of research is a laboratory experiment with a comparative design based on composition variations. The research subjects were Al99-x-Zn-Mgx alloys with several variations in Mg content (four different compositions) prepared by vacuum arc melting. Data were collected using microstructural observations (optical microscope) and Vickers hardness test (microhardness tester) as the main instruments. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and quantitatively by comparing grain size and hardness values between composition variations. The results showed that increasing Mg content resulted in a finer and more homogeneous grain structure, and increased hardness to 27.7 HVN, or an increase of 29.8% compared to aluminum without Mg. This finding is consistent with the strengthening mechanism based on the Hall–Petch relationship. The conclusion of this study shows that the addition of Mg is effective in improving the mechanical properties of aluminum through grain refinement. The implication is that Al-Zn-Mg alloys have the potential to be further developed as superior materials for structural and functional applications in the automotive, construction, and biomedical fields.
