Abstract

The problem addressed in this study lies in the high cost and dependence on electrical energy in conventional cold storage systems, which hinder vaccine distribution, particularly in remote areas. In addition, the limited capability of existing storage systems to maintain stable temperatures without electricity presents a major challenge in preserving vaccine quality during distribution. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the performance of a low-cost cold storage design based on locally available materials in maintaining optimal vaccine storage temperatures effectively without the use of electrical energy. This research is categorized as an engineering study employing a numerical simulation design using thermal modeling software. The research subject is the cold storage design, while the testing subject consists of simulation models utilizing material parameters such as Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR), and dry ice. Data were collected through simulation and documentation methods, with research instruments including SketchUp and SimFlow software. Data analysis was conducted using a quantitative descriptive approach by interpreting the relationship between temperature, pressure, and time obtained from the simulation results. The findings indicate that the proposed cold storage design is capable of maintaining temperatures below 8°C for approximately ±2.92 hours without electricity. Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed design is effective as an alternative solution for short-term vaccine storage. The implications of this study highlight the potential application of simple and affordable technology to support vaccine distribution in areas with limited infrastructure.

Abstract

Minyak goreng banyak digunakan dalam proses memasak. Namun, penggunaan berulang dapat menyebabkan reaksi hidrolisis dan oksidasi yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan. Masyarakat Indonesia sering menggoreng tempe kedelai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kualitas minyak goreng dalam kategori harga mahal, sedang, dan murah berdampak pada nilai bilangan peroksida setelah penggorengan berulang kali. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimental laboratorium, penelitian ini melibatkan penggunaan tiga jenis minyak goreng untuk menggoreng tempe kedelai empat kali, dengan dua potong tempe per siklus. Minyak dipanaskan hingga 150–165°C. Sampel 50 gram diambil dari setiap penggorengan untuk menghitung konsentrasi peroksida. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah peroksida meningkat seiring dengan frekuensi penggorengan. Minyak goreng murah, yang digunakan pada penggorengan keempat, memiliki nilai tertinggi 10,111 mek O2/kg, melebihi batas tertinggi SNI 3741:2013. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kerusakan minyak selama penggunaan berulang dipengaruhi oleh kualitas awal minyak. Oleh karena itu, pembatasan penggunaan ulang dan penggunaan minyak goreng berkualitas tinggi sangat penting untuk menjaga keamanan pangan dan kesehatan pelanggan.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology in the era of Education 4.0 requires teachers to possess strong digital competencies. However, many teachers continue to rely on conventional instructional approaches, resulting in a widening gap between pedagogical capabilities and the demands of digitalized learning. This study aims to analyze, evaluate, and interpret the simultaneous effects of soft skills, environmental support, and digital media utilization on teachers’ digital competence. This research employs a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The study involved 123 teachers selected through purposive sampling as the research sample. Data were collected using standardized questionnaires that had been validated through validity and reliability testing. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to examine both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The findings indicate that digital media utilization has the strongest influence on enhancing teachers’ digital competence, followed by environmental support, which serves as a key enabling factor. Soft skills do not show a significant direct effect; however, they contribute indirectly when combined with strong environmental support and effective use of digital media. The study concludes that strengthening teachers’ digital competence requires synergy between habitual technology use, institutional support, and personal capacity development. The implications of this study highlight the importance of practice-based training strategies, strengthening digital infrastructure, and fostering a collaborative school culture to build a learning ecosystem that is adaptive to digital transformation.

Abstract

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative joint disease characterized by chronic inflammation, which can lead to progressive joint dysfunction and disability. Long-term use of conventional pharmacological therapies is often associated with serious side effects, highlighting the need for safer and more effective alternative treatments. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and underlying anti-inflammatory mechanisms of topical Trikatu Herbal Oil (THO) by assessing physiological responses and identifying active compounds through phytochemical analysis and Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC–MS). This research employed an experimental approach using a post-test only control group design. The study subjects consisted of 24 male BALB/c mice aged 2–3 months, weighing 20–30 g. Anti-inflammatory activity was evaluated using a carrageenan-induced paw edema model, in which edema volume was measured hourly for four hours using a plethysmometer. Data were obtained from observations of edema volume changes and GC–MS analysis of the bioactive constituents of THO. Statistical analysis was performed using the Kruskal–Wallis and Mann–Whitney tests at a 95% confidence level. The results demonstrated that Trikatu herbal oil contains β-caryophyllene and fatty acids that play a role in suppressing inflammatory responses. THO at a 20% concentration exhibited the highest anti-inflammatory activity, with an edema inhibition percentage of 56% compared to the control group. These findings confirm that Trikatu herbal oil is significantly effective as a topical anti-inflammatory agent. Implicatively, this study provides a scientific basis for the development of safe, natural-based topical herbal therapies with strong potential as alternatives to long-term synthetic anti-inflammatory treatments.

Abstract

Pengukuran kinerja programmer masih sulit dilakukan secara objektif karena penilaian manual HR cenderung subjektif dan inkonsisten. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu membangun model evaluasi kinerja programmer berbasis machine learning dalam proyek ERP, serta membandingkan pengaruh dua metodologi pengembangan (Scrum vs Waterfall ). Penelitian ini memanfaatkan 3.742 record historis dari Redmine pada dua proyek ERP (Scrum dan Waterfall ) untuk memprediksi kinerja programmer (High, Medium, Low) menggunakan Random Forest. Tahapan meliputi preprocessing, feature engineering, dan feature selection, dengan eksperimen oversampling (SMOTE), reduksi dimensi (PCA, LDA), serta kombinasinya. Model dievaluasi menggunakan akurasi, presisi, recall, dan F1-Score, sementara LIME digunakan untuk menafsirkan faktor kinerja yang paling berpengaruh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Random Forest baseline menjadi model paling optimal dengan akurasi 87,43%, presisi 88,27%, recall 87,43%, dan F1-score 87,45%, tanpa memerlukan teknik balancing maupun reduksi dimensi. Analisis LIME mengungkapkan perbedaan signifikan antara Scrum dan Waterfall : kinerja programmer pada Waterfall  lebih dipengaruhi oleh produktivitas dan ketepatan waktu, sedangkan Scrum lebih menekankan kualitas melalui revisi dan bug pasca-rilis.

Abstract

Peran vital layanan perpustakaan sebagai jantung pendidikan untuk lebih cepat menyediakan informasi, sumber belajar, meningkatkan literasi, dan pengembangan peradaban perlu adanya transformasi digital yang lebih efisien, efektif, akurat, adaptif dan responsif. Layanan perpustakaan yang masih bergantung pada proses manual menyebabkan keterlambatan dalam menyediakan informasi dan sumber belajar, serta kurangnya akurasi dan efektivitas dalam pencatatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem otomasi perpustakaan berbasis teknologi RFID, barcode scanner, dan linear aktuator, guna meningkatkan efisiensi dalam pengelolaan buku serta mempercepat proses verifikasi dan penyimpanan buku. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) yang mengadaptasi model Borg & Gall. Subjek penelitian meliputi sistem prototipe yang dikembangkan, 10 mahasiswa pengguna aktif, dan pustakawan di Perpustakaan Universitas Pamulang. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengukuran waktu proses pengembalian, observasi langsung, dan evaluasi akurasi sistem. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem otomatisasi mampu mengurangi terjadinya antrian pengguna, meminimalkan kesalahan pencatatan manual, serta meningkatkan kepuasan pengguna layanan perpustakaan. Implementasi teknologi otomatisasi ini dapat mendukung penerapan budaya literasi yang lebih tertib dan efisien. Selain itu, inovasi ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam pengembangan sistem layanan pendidikan berbasis teknologi dan layak untuk diadopsi secara luas di berbagai institusi pendidikan.

Abstract

Pembekuan merupakan metode untuk memperpanjang umur simpan daging   dan menjaga kestabilan kualitas produk selama distribusi. Daging ayam broiler beku memerlukan proses thawing  sebelum diolah, namun metode thawing  yang tidak tepat dapat menurunkan kualitas fisik, kimia, dan mikrobiologi daging. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis metode thawing  yang menunjukkan kualitas fisik dan kimia  terbaik pada daging ayam broiler yang dibekukan. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimental yang bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh empat metode thawing  (air mengalir, rendaman air hangat, microwave dan air fryer) terhadap kualitas fisik, kimia, dan mikrobiologi daging ayam broiler beku. Subjek penelitian yaitu daging ayam broiler diperoleh dari rumah potong ayam yang kemudian dibekukan salama 2 minggu, lalu dianalisis menggunakan uji laboratorium dengan variabel penelitian yaitu warna, tekstur, daya ikat air, susut masak, pH, kadar air, kadar protein, kadar lemak dan total mikroba. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA satu arah dan uji Duncan untuk melihat perbedaan antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan metode thawing  berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap susut bobot setelah thawing, pH, kadar air dan total mikroba daging ayam broiler. Perlakuan thawing  dengan metode air fryer menghasilkan total mikroba daging terendah dan susut masak terendah yang dapat menjadi keunggulan dari segi keamanan dan kualitas nutrisi dibanding metode thawing  lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi konsumen, pelaku industri pangan, dan peneliti dalam memilih serta mengembangkan metode thawing  yang efektif untuk menjaga mutu dan keamanan daging ayam broiler beku.

Abstract

The exponential growth in data volume, velocity, and variety has exposed the limitations of traditional Extract–Transform–Load (ETL) approaches, which often struggle with scalability, latency, and computational inefficiency. This study aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of ETL optimization techniques by measuring ETL job processing time for a “fact credit card” dataset under various configurations: without optimization, with partitioning, with parallelism, and with a combination of both. This research adopts an experimental design. The study object consists of “fact credit card” transaction data, representing a large and complex dataset within a financial business environment. Data were collected through direct testing of different ETL process configurations. Data analysis was conducted using a comparative quantitative analysis approach. The results indicate that partitioning and parallelism each contribute significantly to reducing ETL processing time, with partitioning alone achieving a reduction of 79% and parallelism achieving a reduction of 20%. However, the combination of partitioning and parallelism delivers the highest performance improvement, reducing processing time by up to 91%. These findings underscore the importance of selecting and integrating appropriate optimization techniques to enhance ETL performance, particularly in large-scale data delivery environments such as financial services. Optimized ETL processes enable faster data availability, improved resource utilization, and enhanced scalability, all of which are critical for maintaining competitive advantage in data-intensive industries.

Abstract

Leafy vegetable cultivation, such as mustard greens (Brassica juncea) and celery (Apium graveolens), frequently encounters constraints due to unstable microclimatic conditions in open-field environments, including fluctuations in temperature and humidity as well as pest attacks. These conditions lead to significant declines in crop productivity and yield quality. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and performance of an Internet of Things (IoT) based Smart Greenhouse prototype in optimizing microclimate control and measurably enhancing plant growth. This research employed an experimental approach using an engineering-based experimental design, encompassing system design, sensor calibration, functional testing, and plant growth trials. The experimental subjects consisted of 20 plants. Data were collected through direct observation, automated sensor logging, and plant growth documentation, utilizing validated and reliable instruments including DHT22, BH1750, YL-69, and DS3231 RTC sensors, which were tested for measurement accuracy and consistency. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative analysis and comparative analysis of mean growth between experimental groups. The results indicate that the Smart Greenhouse system successfully maintained temperature, humidity, and light intensity within optimal ranges, with sensor accuracy exceeding 95%. Furthermore, mustard greens exhibited a 28% higher growth rate compared to open-field cultivation, while celery demonstrated a more moderate improvement. The study concludes that IoT-based microclimate control is effective in enhancing horticultural crop productivity through precise and automated environmental regulation.

Abstract

Conventional multipliers in digital systems still face major challenges in the form of high latency, which negatively impacts performance in computationally intensive applications such as digital signal processing (DSP) and artificial intelligence. In addition, limitations in hardware resource efficiency present a significant challenge in designing systems that are both fast and area-efficient. This study aims to analyze the performance of 8-bit multipliers based on the Booth Radix-4 and Vedic (Urdhva Tiryagbhyam) algorithms in terms of speed and resource efficiency. This research adopts a quantitative approach. The research subjects consist of three 8-bit digital multiplier architectures: Shift-and-Add (baseline), Booth Radix-4, and Vedic. Data were collected using a documentation technique with instruments in the form of post-synthesis reports generated by the software, which include parameters such as propagation delay and logic element (LE) utilization. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative comparative analysis. The results show that both advanced algorithms (Booth and Vedic) perform significantly faster than the conventional method. The Booth Radix-4 multiplier demonstrates the best performance, with the lowest delay of 8.114 ns and a resource usage of 139 LEs, while the Vedic multiplier exhibits a delay of 9.298 ns and the highest resource consumption of 219 LEs. The study concludes that the Booth Radix-4 algorithm is the most optimal choice for implementing an 8-bit multiplier, as it provides the best balance between high speed and moderate resource utilization. The implications of this research provide a valuable reference for digital system designers in selecting appropriate multiplier architectures based on application requirements.
