Abstract

The culture of queuing or waiting turn is a simple behaviour that is sometimes forgotten by adults.Behaviour in queuing or waiting their turn is strongly believed and implemented by people in many developedcountries such as America and Europe. However, in Indonesia there are still seen adults who deliberatelyand do not want to queue or wait their turn for various reasons. In fact, it will trigger social conflicts in thecommunity. Therefore, inculcation of queuing culture needs to be taught and believed by individuals from anearly age, so that this queued behaviour can be well embedded and automatically becomes a behaviour thatwill be displayed in everyday life. This paper is presented using the literature study method. Literature studyor what is known as literature review is a description of the theory, findings, and other research materials thatare used as a basis for research activities in preparing the framework of the problem formulation. In thispaper, we will describe the role of parents and teachers is specific and concrete in educating children to havequeuing behaviour in waiting their turn.

Abstract

Literacy is currently very important in life. However, the problem of Indonesian children's literacyability is far from what was expected. It caused by parents have not been able to be a good model of literation.Therefore, the strategies need to be applied to improve early childhood literacy. This study uses qualitativeresearch using theoretical studies. Improving of early childhood literacy of parents can do activities that canbe done such as activities at home and their surrounding. Activities at home can be done such as readingwhen they are sleeping, eating and drinking, bathing and playing. And, the activities in their environment canbe done by introducing the library and providing book shopping.

Abstract

The general objective in this study was to determine the description of the use of devices in alphageneration children in Pekanbaru City. The gadget comes from English which means small electronic devices that havespecial functions. Among smartphones like the iPhone and Blackberry, and netbooks (a combination of portablecomputers such as notebooks and the internet). In Indonesian the word gadget is often also referred to as a gadget.This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City in 12 Districts. The results of the study explained that the gadget devicesthat children use are still borrowing parents, the type of gadget that children use the most is smartphones, the activitiesthat children do other than using gadgets most often are playing outside the home, the places where children use themost gadgets use the family room , the time to use the gadget for children is not every day, namely on certain days suchas holidays, the application that is often used by children is Youtube, complaints from children after using the gadgetare raging if not given a gadget, and accounts that most children have are YouTube channels.

Abstract

Early childhood often experience head injuries, this is due to high curiosity but is notsupported by physical motor skills. Head injuries are the highest cause of death and paralysis inchildren each year. More than 50 % of deaths are caused by head injuries and motorized accidents.Every year, more than 2 million people suffer head injuries, 75.000 of them die and more than100.000 people survive but have permanent disabilities. Head injury is a deformity in the form ofdeviation of shape or line on the skull, acceleration or deceleration which is a change in shapeinfluenced by an increase in the acceleration, and rotation ie the movement of the head is also feltby the brain as a result of rotation at the prevention level. It can be concluded that head injury is acondition where the brain experiences a collision causing interference with its fuction. The cause ofhead injury is divided into blunt trauma and trauma coup or contracoup. The level of awareness ofthe child after suffering a head injury can be assessed with GCS. This examination assesses thechildꞌs ability to follow instructions or respond to a physical stimulus. To avoid the child from havinga head injury, parents and PAUD teachers must really create a safe and comfortable environmentfor children both indoors and outdoors.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research with comparative approach to identify whether there is asignificant difference between knowledge about sex education to 4 to 6 year-old children by parents and of which byteachers in Tampan District, Pekanbaru City, as well as to find out parents’ difficulties in sex education in the aspect ofknowledge. The population of this research was parents and teachers in Tampan District, Pekanbaru City, then 95parents and 95 kindergarten teachers were selected as the research sample using simple random sampling. The datacollection technique was using a test consisting or a set or questions to measure the knowledge. The data analysis wasusing differential test “t” of 2 samples by the help of BM SPSS Statistics for window. The results show that there is avery significant difference between knowledge about sex education to 4-6 year-old children by parents and of which byteachers in Tampan District, Pekanbaru City. The level of knowledge about sex education by parents is 55,78% andcategorized good. Meanwhile, the level of knowledge about sex education by teachers is 69,87% and categorized good.Parents and teachers have different knowledge about sex education in which parents’ knowledge is in the sufficient tolow category seen from the whole indicators. Meanwhile, teachers’ knowledge is in the good category seen from thewhole indicators.

Abstract

Street children are children who spend most of their time earning a living or roaming the streets or other public places, their ages range from 6 years to 18 years.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parents and children taking to the streets in Pekanbaru. This research method is included in descriptive research. The technique for determining respondents is accidential sampling. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study The condition of street children's families in the city of Pekanbaru is still intact, which is equipped with family members, father, mother, and siblings. Street children in the city of Pekanbaru still have a strong relationship with their parents. Good communication with parents because children still live with their parents. Most of these street children live in a rented or rented house and a small portion of them live in their own homes. The home appliances that are owned include television, gas stove, fan, washing machine, refrigerator, clean water, bathroom, toilet in the house, kitchen, bedroom and cupboard with adequate lighting equipment. Anak jalanan adalah anak yang sebagian besar waktunya dihabiskan untuk mencari nafkah atau berkeliaran di jalanan atau tempat-tempat umum lainnya, usia mereka berkisar dari 6 tahun sampain 18 tahun. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan orangtua dengan anak turun ke jalanan di Pekanbaru. Metode Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian deskriftif. Teknik penentuan responden adalah accidential sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data mengunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian Kedaan keluarga anak jalanan di kota pekanbaru masih utuh, yaitu dilengkapi anggota-anggota keluarga, ayah, ibu, dan saudaranya. Anak-anak jalanan di kota pekanbaru masih mempunyai hubungan yang kuat dengan orang tua mereka. Melakukan komunikasi yang baik dengan orangtua karena anak masih tinggal dengan orangtuanya. Kepemilikan tempat tinggal anak jalanan ini sebagian besar tinggal dirumah kontrakan atau rumah sewa dan sebagian kecil mereka tinggal dirumah milik sendiri. Adapun alat perlengkapan rumah yang dimiliki antara lain seperti televisi, kompor gas, kipas angin, mesin cuci, lemari es, air besih, kamar mandi, jamban dalam rumah, dapur, kamar tidur dan lemari dengan alat penerangan yang mencukupi.
