Abstract

Intranet is a network of workstations with a local scale without connected to the Internet, while the samba is a set of applications that communicate with Server Massage Block protocol (SMB). SMB is the data communication protocol that provides file and printer sharing and other tasks associated with network. Thesis contains intranetnetwork design for learning at Sahid University in Surakarta, using open source software This research is limited only to the side of applying the samba server in the server for sharing files in order to optimize the learning system on the USS. In this samba server user can have a folder on the samba server. Each user also can log on to domain through the computer any windows that are important in a network. Theprocess of authentication and authorization provided by the samba server as a domain controller in that domain. This research uses experimental methods in which the writer tries to design a network built on the intranet for learning where teachers could USS distribute materials, substances or value assignment to the students without having to directly face to face. To download a user can enter the application programs run on windows or go into explore menu typing in the address samba server address and the destination for uploading user can use Total Commander application. Sharing a folder so can be done on the Linux operating system and Windows so the two operating systems can communicate with each other to enhance our learning in the USS.

Abstract

CD rental at Tisanda is uncomputerized that caused slow in time and energy-consuming transaction. Information System of CD rental is an alternative solution to solve problem in the data analysis. CD rental information system is a system that has borrowing and repayment process, including providing information about the number of existing CDs. This study discusses lending transactions, refunds, and penalties. This research method is observation, interviews, and literature. The system is built using Visual Basic as the language program and mySQL as database with mysql-connector-odbc-win32-3:51:23 as connectors. CD Rental Information System includes the CD report, rent, damage, and loss of earnings. This system is more efficient because it can minimize data storage. In addition, it takes less energy and need a short time to input data or reports and data can be accessed more quickly than before. Rental Information System at Tisanda alsouses a barcode reader so the transactions can be faster.

Abstract

Development of mobile communication (handphone) since 1995 has been very fast. One of facilities that contributes the development is application of WAP (Wireless Application Protocol), namely, a protocol that is used to link with Internet via handphone. WAP provides support for application developers so that they are able to use it for connection with network. The advancement of technology makes possible to build WAP application by using WML (Wireless Markup Language) script that has a broader scope The technology progress provides solution and contribution in area of real time communication system. Therefore, the research is attempting to develop a new system that uses computer technology and communication technology, especially WAP-based technology as well as Djikstra algorithm. The new system will provide navigation system for travelers who are visiting Surakarta Town. The trip navigation systemcontains information related to trip routes of a traveler such as road condition and to know the shortest route of road to road or of location to location and also, the system displays alternative paths if there is an obstacle along the main road to destination. The easy accessibility of a trip to destination will make a system user to reach her or his destination quickly and correctly without he or she asks for helps to people along a road about direction of his or her destination.

Abstract

First Process is found in who it is handwritten on the paper. The handwritten is scanning to be image digital so the its to easy feature extraction, the proces s name pre-processing. Result of the pre-processing to be feature extraction. The feature extraction is neuron input who organize by matrix. The input neuron to input inclassification neural network. Neural network who its need back propagation. Step by step who description in the top is training or execution network. Application testing in training network with a lot of sample character, then network who have training to be execution with difference input character. The result, the network can recognition a lot of pattern character but also a lot of failed for the other. Grade of goal in network to be pattern defend in much sample representative in training, technique feature and source.

Abstract

Building is a place of activity and interaction among it’s occupants. There fore, the protectian of the strength of building structure must be noticed well. Same dangers that likely to happen are flood, eartquake and corrosive. This research is aimed at knowing the strength of concrate residue. The method used in this research are visual observation, distructive and non destructive test. Distructive method uses hammer test,while non destructive uses compresssion test machine. The result of hammer test is counted by normal and homogeneuos data test. Then, the result of distructive and non destructive test are declaredto be received if the width more than 80% the strength of concrate residue (250kg/cm 2). It can be concluded that the result of destructive, non destructive and analysis are the demage of building 10.1 %, wall 8.5 %, column 1.4 % (there are two column damage), bean 0.3 % (one beam demage). Several damagae building structure are strengthened by carbon fibre stripe.

Abstract

Many features included in the CMS (Content Management System) such as Joomla, Mambo and others, make the beginner users who have not familiar about the web design tends to have difficulty in managing the CMS-based website The purpose of this research is to build a CMS for the purposes of setting the news on line with the developing news publishing features. Therefore expected to provide convenience to the user in making the news portal and allows administrators to manage the website. Research methods used in this study is the observation, interviews, literature studies, and experiments. This research produced a new CMS that provides convenience to the users to manage and make dynamic content changes, especially for setting the news on line. The ability of this CMS for example are: have an easiness in build interface or its programming, because almost all the commands using Indonesian. Has facilities in management compared with the existing CMS today, because the facilities provided in a simple designed to be easily understood by users and web programmers

Abstract

The scholarship provided for the students who are taking either D3 or bachelor degree (S1) in STMIK SinarNusantara is alocated from Dirjen DIKTI which in here is represented by Regional VI of Kopertis throughSTMIK Sinar Nusantara. So far, the selection process of the scholarship receiver candidates is still carried outmanually so that it is possible enough to have unwanted mistakes appeared either in the data recording process or the determination of the scholarship receiver candidates. To overcome the mentioned problem, it is necessary to develop a decision support system in determining the candidates of the scholarship receiver. This decision support system has 9 criterion and uses mathematic model. The system which is developed uses the help of data flow diagram and entity relationship diagram. the result of this prototype will be able to help the selection team in scoring the candidates whether they are less proper, proper, or very proper to get the scholarship. The score ranking will be able to help the selection team in determining the scholarship receiver.

Abstract

Intellectual intelligence is one of the human intellect, and can be measured against the test tool. The system is a Web-based software that can be shared through the internet network. Test System Intellectual Intelligence (IQ) is Web Based Other forms of intelligence tests, which change the shape of a software test tool that can be accessed via the Internet (online). LPT Solutions is an organization engaged in counseling psychology, which became our partner in the development of this system. The problems that arise are how to design, implement and later mengenbangkan the system. In order to solve the problem of system design metoden John Burch, Gary Grudnitski. Currently the system has been completed diinplementasikan, tested and uploaded with the domain name "http://solusi-psycho.net", which serve registration and online IQ tests.

Abstract

Family tree search process for someone who is a member of the family would quickly be known. But instead for someone other than a family member would be adifficult thing to do if you do not know with certainty the origin of the family. The purpose of this study is making an expert system application to search the familytree using Prolog Language. The research method that I use is the method of back tracking. This research resulted in an expert system for searching the family tree.

Abstract

Measurement data are often assumed to be without error is very rare indeed. Generally, any data obtained would contain an error due to measurement / factor measurement error (ME). For example in the regression modeling if X is a random variable or with measurement error. Then the complex calculations will not be separated from the role of computers and technology. As well as to estimate the following model, given the data (Xi, Yi), the regression models are Yi = g(X i ) + ε i where Xi is the i-th element of the predictor variable X and Yi is the i-th element of the response variable Y. Variable X which is a predictor of the outcome variable is usuallya certain constant observation, however, X is generally found that a random variable or variables where the value is not a fixed constant. For that reason in this case is calledthe regression models with regression models with measurement error. There are two methods, namely parametric and Nonparametric Approach. Parametric approach used Ordinary Least Square (OLS), and for Nonparametric measurement errors are ignored when used B-spline method and the measurement error is not negligible when used methods Iterative Conditional Modes (ICM). In the previous study, examined the effect of measurement errors on the estimation of the model. Furthermore, in this study the process of calculating a regression model using the S-Plus2000 Software as a computational tool to estimate the regression model. Data will be generated using the program will be carried out in this study, which in turn is used to estimate program regression models with measurement error.
