Waste water from textile factories classified into dangerous water as regulated by the Ministry of Environment. This waste water usually flows away into the river environment around of factories. Water treatment unit of textile factory believed as an external unit process which need big budget consequences because it might use imported chemical substances. This situation usually use as a common reasons to pollute the environment. This research is a model solution to reduce a fix budget (cost production) in textile production by using a number of Moringa oleifera as a biofloculant to replace an expensive chemical substances as PAC. This model showed the  number of biofloculant at every target number of production and the impact into amount of sludge and water. Linear model commonly found in every stage of simulation. Abstract

In the field of kalam (Islamic theology), some major themes, like attributes of Allah, will of Allah and human freedom, or Quran as words of Allah, have become debate topics between thought schools of kalam in Islam. Because of the complexity of those topics, the debate becomes eternal, without an agreed end. Among those thought schools of kalam in Islam involved in the debate is salaf school, held by Ibn Taymiyah. In his opinion, the school is the right one because it quite conforms to Quran and sunna. By way of thought (manhaj) of salaf school, Ibn Taymiyah also takes part in explaining those major themes in his works. In the case of the will of Allah and human freedom, for example, he doesn’t agree with the Qadarite school’s thought and the Jabarite school’s thought although in this he hasn’t yet stretched out a convincing explanation. This essay will analyze the way of thought (manhaj) of salaf school and Ibn Taymiyah’s opinion about those major themes, especially in his book Majmû‘ al-Fatâwâ.

Abstract

The epistemological thinking of ḥuḍûrî in Ḥikmat al-Ishrâqiyah Suhrawardî has provided a new direction for the development of Islamic knowledge. In the ontological perspective, the idea of illumination provides an understanding that there is an extensive range of realities, stretching indefinitely, which ultimately leads to the understanding of essentialism. Suhrawardî's success in bringing forth this illuminative thinking entails his profound mastery of philosophy and Sufism, as well as his high intelligence in formulating Islamic thought. The only solution to the problem of developing knowledge according to Suhrawardî, lies in the reality of ḥuḍûrî  (knowledge with presence), in which there are many dialogues about 'subjects who know' or 'I am performative'. In this concept, oneself knows itself through the science of ḥuḍûrî (knowledge with presence), which is existentially identical to the form of 'oneself' itself.

Abstract

The doctrine "wahdatul wudjud" developed by lbnu Arabi is considered a high tauhid. It states that the existence of things in the world is the reflection of Allah, the Oneness. Arabi further confirmes that human has a potential capability to manifest Allah s asma and aushaf. From this point, every human has great chance to realize the existence of the '"insan kamil" a reflection of Allah s tajalli, the special' position given to human as she/he perfectly reflects Allah s asma' and aushaf.

Abstract

Brethren of Purity (Ikhwan al-Safa) is a group of philosophers in medieval Islamic history. They declared themselves as opponents of any chastity, impurity, or opacity. Their thoughts compiled in an encyclopedia containing of fifty two treaties (epistles), titled al-Rasa'il Ikhwan al-Safa wa Khullan al-Wafa. Al-Rasa'il extensively surveys a huge range of subjects ranging from music to magic. They are didactic in tone and highly eclectic in content, providing both pedagogical and culture mirror of their Age and its diverse philosophies and creeds. Therefore, al-Rasail is still debatable of its origin, one claims to the writing of Ali bin Abi Talib, the fourth Muslim Caliph (d. 40/661), or the writing of the sixth Shi'ite imam, Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq. The encyclopedia aspires to encompass all knowledge, from all sources, and to give meaning to the struggles of the human race. One of all amazing notions of the Brethren of Purity is a numerical symbolism as applied to explain qualitative correspondence of three principal beings: God as The Creator, universe, and human being.

Abstract

This article examines the approach of Muhammad Iqbal and Bediuzzaman Said Nursi in proving the form of God. Their approaches come in the mindset of the invasion of atheism and the philosophy of materialism. Both thinkers use different approaches. While Iqbal uncovered arguments of God from the aspect of epistemology and offered arguments for religious experience, Nursi used the teleological argument utilizing the development of science. Nursi used the form of God arguments inherited from earlier scholars to strike at the attacks of atheism and materialism. Whereas Iqbal used a philosophical approach learned from Western scientists. On the other hand, when Iqbal uncovered from an aspect of philosophy, Nursi used simple language to appeal to ordinary people by presenting teleological arguments in the form of stories, dialogues, analogies, arguments for natural order, and impossible arguments. These two thinkers use a different approach, but both of them use science as the basis of their arguments. Nursi used the latest findings of science in his day to reinforce the arguments he raised, while Iqbal used the epistemology of science to manifest God.

Abstract

Gotfried Wilhem Leibniz (1646-1716) is someone who concentrated his thought on the logical and metaphysical concept. Metaphysical concept believes that the concept of truth in the life of the nature is dominated by the definite balance. It is very interesting when Leibniz’s physical concept is discussed based on the Qur’anic teaching. According to the Qur’anic teaching, the God is alKhaliq, the creator of the universe and human. And the God descends His prophet to inform, to explain, to interpret and to give the directions to implement the Qur’an in the human's life. As long as human’s lives in the world follow the God’s way will reach the save ness and happiness. While according to Leibniz, the society who can not adopt to the cosmos’ rule will be destroyed. According to Qur'an, someone who does not follow the God’s will be destroyed, because the God's word is the guidance for human for reaching taqwa and merciful.
