Abstract

Abstract - Skin aging is a biological process that occurs naturally and coincides with increase of the age. But extrinsic factor caused free radical is a major factor that accelerates skin aging. Coenzym Q10 and Glutathione have high antioxidant activity that can prevent skin cell damage caused by free radical. In this research is made cosmetic antiaging formulations with liposomal delivery system to increase skin penetration. Formulation liposomes made with 2 formula used thin film hydration method. First formula is a basis of liposome, and second formula is a liposome with Coenzym Q10 and Glutathione. A liposome and liposome base formulation has been performed with the active ingredient Coenzyme Q10 and Glutathione to physical and pH characteristics. The result of this study are two formulations show that there is difference in the physical character consisting of organoleptic, particle size, and specifications for entrapment of drug not meeting specifications. However, there is no difference in pH.

Abstract

Abstract - Health literacy is defined as the extent to which individuals have the ability to obtain, process and understand information from health services. Someone with low level of health literacy tends to misunderstand health information, and vice versa. With low understanding in terms of understanding health information, it is possible to cause several problems, which one of them is drug-related problems. Drug-related problems have a notion of the undesirable events experienced by patients relating to drug therapy where it interferes with the achievement of desired therapeutic goals. This study is a quantitative study with a total of 31 subjects, which aims to determine the relationship between health literacy domain with drug-related problem domain. The relationship gained from each of the instrumentsbeing used, obtained a pro-active relationship affect the patient’s compliance. While the result of statistical analysis using Chi-square test with cross tabulation analysis got significant correlation and the results are; patient attitude toward health influence drug therapy is not required, socio-economic consideration influence drug therapy is not required, and also socio-economic consideration influence ineffectively drug therapy.

Abstract

Abstract - Paracetamol is one of drugs which has low solubility property in aqueous medium. This property will affect its bioavailability. Enhancement of solubility can be achieved by formulation of solid dispersion. Paracetamol is dispersed in PEG 4000 as hydrophilic carrier with melting method. To find the effect of the amount of PEG 4000 for the solubility enhancement, two formulas of solid dispersion are made with the ratio of 1:0.5 and 1:1. After the solid dispersion formed, this formula is characterized using FTIR to determine the interactions between paracetamol and PEG 4000 as a sign of formed solid dispersion. After characterization, the amount of paracetamol in the formulationwill be measured. Lastly, dissolution test is performed to find the increase in dissolution rate compared to pure paracetamol powder. Dissolution test profile observation shows that paracetamol and PEG 4000 solid dispersion formulas have lower dissolution rate compared to pure paracetamol. Beside that, the drug content test shows that the content of paracetamol in the dosage form doesn’t meet the quality requirement as established in the Indonesian Pharmacopeia.

Abstract

This research aims to explore international entrepreneurial orientation (IEO) in fisheries export industry in Bali which comprises of innovativeness, proactiveness, and risk-taking aspects with one international verbiage variable of strategic performance. The researcher conducted in-depth interviews with seven companies in Bali to understand how the industry stack-up if seen from three aspects of IEO with one additional international verbiage. The result shows that the observed fisheries industry in Bali is an industry that shows negative innovativeness, positive proactiveness, inconsistent risk-taking, and positive strategic performance. Negative innovativeness is solely due to the nature of the industry where the businesses are only exporting raw fish material and further processing takes place at level of importer; positive proactiveness to outpace its competitors; inconsistent risk-taking due to the sector of live or frozen fish; and positive strategic performance because have been an established business.
