Abstract

Covid-19 is a global public health problem and has a very fast transmission rate. In severe cases, it can cause acute respiratory syndrome, pneumonia and for the most severe cases it can cause death. Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DMT2)is a group of metabolic diseases. Characterized by hyperglycemia, it caused by abnormalities in insulin secretion. Decreased immunity for people with T2DM is one of the factors causing the occurrence of Covid-19. This research used observational analytic design with cross sectional method, using purposive sampling technique and ng Spearman Correlation test analysis. Most of the respondents experienced moderate Covid-19 degrees ( 138 people,54.1%) and 56 people with DMT2 were infected by Covid-19 (22%). There was a relationship between DMT2 and Covid-19 with a p-value obtained 0.003, which is a relationship between Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Covid-19.

Abstract

Acne vulgaris is a disorder of the pilosebaceous unit that appears mainly in adolescence. Most cases of acne present with polymorphic lesions, which consist of comedones, papules, pustules, and nodules of varying severity. Acne can cause a decrease in self-confidence because it can cause hypertrophic scars that can cause lifelong scars. Oral clindamicin has been used for a long time, but has a high risk of pseudomembranous colitis. Currently, clindamici is rarely used for the treatment of acne vulgaris, but it is still commonly used topically in combination with benzoyl peroxide.

Abstract

Acne vulgaris (AV) is defined as a skin disease caused by chronic inflammation of the pilosebaceous unit consisting of non-inflammatory lesions such as open comedones and closed comedones with inflammatory lesions in the form of papules, pustules, and nodules. Tetracycline has a very strong inhibitory power against Propionibacterium acne bacteria. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the antibiotics clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide, erythromycin, azelac acid and Lactobacillus achidopillus with the effectiveness of tetracycline against Propionibacterium acnes. Research on the effectiveness of tetracycline antibiotics against Propionibacterium acnes was carried out in vitro using the disc diffusion method on Mueller-Hinton Agar media and analyzed the data using Shapiro-wilk for data normality. After being declared to be normally distributed (p>0.05), an unpaired T-test was performed. If the data obtained were not normally distributed, the Mann-Whitney test was performed to test the ratio 1 and 2. The mean effectiveness of tetracycline antibiotics was 48.7 mm and placebo/ vaseline of 0 mm against Propionibacterium acnes in vitro. Based on the unpaired T-Test, Sig.(2-Tailed) = 0.000 (p<0.05) was obtained, which means that there is a significant difference in each variable. There are differences in the effectiveness of Tetracycline antibiotics with placebo/vaseline on the growth of Propionibacterium acnes using the in vitro diffusion method.

Abstract

Tumors that occur in the lungs can be divided into several types, namely benign tumors, malignant tumors, primary tumors and tumors caused by metastases from malignancies originating from other organs. There are about 1 million deaths in the population each year, which are caused by lung cancer malignancies. The case of lung tumor malignancy is ranked 4th, from the total number of cancers that occur in Indonesia. The increase in mortality due to malignant lung tumors is most likely due to delays in diagnosis. According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, lung tumors are the main cause of death in men with a percentage (21.8%) and in women with a percentage (9.1%). This research uses descriptive observational method with retrospective observation using purposive sampling technique. The data used in the form of medical records. There were 159 lung tumor patients studied, consisting of 77.4% of men, 44.0% of 41-60 years of age, 95.0% of no family history, 67.9% of shortness of breath, and 67.9% of smoking history. 79.2%, using FNAB as much as 37.7%, stage IVA as much as 25.8%, squamosa cell carcinoma as much as 50.3% and chemotherapy as much as 47.8%. Lung tumor patients were mostly found in men, with an age range of 41-60 years, tended to suffer from patients who did not have a family history, the most had symptoms of shortness of breath, were active smokers, the most were stage IVA, with the type of squamous cell carcinoma. FNAB samples were 50.3% and underwent chemotherapy.

Abstract

Lung cancer is all malignancy that occurs in the lung and originates from the lung itself (primary) and can even occur from outside the lung (metastasis). 2. Smoking is the highest risk factor for lung cancer. In general, the early stages do not cause prominent complaints, but over time general complaints can be seen. 3. Many lung cancer patients are diagnosed at stage III and IV so that the life expectancy is lower. This study aims to determine the frequency distribution of pulmonary CA patients in hospitals. DR. H. Abdul Moeloek Lampung Province in 2018-2021 with quantitative descriptive research methods. Lung cancer patients were male (73.8%) and female (26.2%) mostly aged 35-65 (70.9%), without a family history of lung cancer (77.9%), had a history of lung cancer. smoking (75.0%), found in stage IV B (37.7%), stage IV A (37.3%), stage III B (15.6%) and stage III A (15.6%). Most lung cancer patients were found without comorbid (41.8%), accompanied by complications of pleural effusion (35.2%) with contralateral lung metastases (32.8%). Most local metastases are found in the contralateral lung and distant metastases are often found in the brain. Early detection is important because the speed of treatment greatly affects the prognosis of the disease.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease due to decreased insulin production in pancreatic cells, or the body experiences insulin ineffectiveness. Based on data from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), in 2013 – 2017 there was an increase in the number of people with DM from 10.3 million to 16.7 million in 2045. This type of research is an observational analytic with a cross sectional method using a total sampling of 30 patient samples. Type 2 DM that meets the inclusion criteria. Data collection begins in February 2022 until it is completed. The data used are primary data in the form of direct examination. Data were evaluated by chi square test. The research sample was 30 patients with type 2 diabetes with an HbA1c value of 7%, namely 23 patients (76.3%), for an HbA1c value <7%, as many as 7 patients (23.3%) and total cholesterol levels 200mg/dl. namely as many as 20 patients (66.7%), for total cholesterol levels <200mg/dl as many as 10 patients (33.3%). The results of the chi square correlation obtained a value of p = 0.033, because the value of p = 0.033 <0.05 so it can be stated that Ha is accepted and Ho is declared rejected or there is a significant correlation, with p = 0.033 it can be interpreted that the strength of the correlation is positive between the HbA1c value and cholesterol levels. total in patients with type 2 diabetes. There was a significant correlation between the value of HbA1c and total cholesterol levels in patients with type 2 diabetes with p-value = 0.033.
