Abstract

Mass poverty is an acute problem experienced by Indonesia. On the other hand, Indonesia itself is well-known for its richness of the natural resources. The shifting of paradigm is necessary to solve the mass poverty problem, from the casual way to act and to think to the extraordinary one. In economics science the casual way to act and to think is reflected in the conventional economic science (orthodox), in which poverty is taken care by providing capital and technical aid. Meanwhile, extraordinary thinking and acting is based on the heterodox economics science in which the analysis of economics is not only based on the factors of economics but also by considering non economic factors. Therefore, capital and technical aid will reach the target whenever the non economic factors become the main consideration on solving poverty problem. Keywords: Paradigm, Poverty, Orthodox Economic Science And Heterodox Economic Science

Abstract

This period is a hypercompetition era where a product advantage is very fast eroded. This is due to the extensive entrance of foreign products to local market and technological development. To survive, a business organization must formulate a proper strategy and keep a close relationship with stakeholders. A proper strategy selection is a fundamental element within this hypercompetition period. A principle of redifferentiation-repositioning and brand equity remodeling is required to be in use in order to maintain product success in a market. This principle deals with consumer satisfaction. Though a global product, a business unit must link its strategy to its served market. To do this, indeed, a product adaptation is frequently required to sustain its advantage. An advantage value is not from the view of revenues (producers) but that of consumers (market driven). A glocalization principle therefore requires a very sound and robust internal business factor. This can be presented by an alliance strategic. Riau, if  its product wants to be successful  in its served market, must learn from others to avoid similar business failure. Keywords:  Redifferentiation-Repositioning, Brand Equity Remodeling,  A Glocalization Principle

Abstract

Human resource planning as the process by which management determines how the organization should move from its current manpower-position to its desired position. Undoubtedly, there are many factors that account for the increased attention directed to human resource planning, but environmental forces, globalization, new technologies, economic conditions, and a changing work force seem particularly potent.  Activities related to the phases of human resource planning are described for three different time horizons: short term (up to one year), intermediate term (two to three  years), and long term (more than three years). The human resource planning process includes the following components: enviromental scan; workforce analysis; identification of significant HR issues and actions to address the issues; measuring and reporting. Keywords: Human Resource, Planning, Process.
