Robot path planning is a NP problem. Traditionaloptimization methods are not very effective to solve it. Traditional genetic algorithm trapped into the local minimum easily. Therefore, based on a simple genetic algorithm and combine the base ideology of orthogonal design method then applied it to the population initialization, using the intergenerational elite mechanism, as well as the introduction of adaptive local search operator to prevent trapped into the local minimum and improvethe convergence speed to form a new genetic algorithm. Through the series of numerical experiments, the new algorithm has been proved to be efficiency. We also use the proposed algorithm to solve the robot path planning problem and the experiment results indicated that the new algorithm is efficiency for solving the robot path planning problems and the best path usually can be found.

Foreign Object Debris (FOD) is dangerous for aircraft safety. And it can be suggested to use image processing technology on the FOD’s detection. Depending on image processing system, a major sub-system in FOD detecting system on the runway, FOD image will be observed efficiently and rapidly with few economy costs and highly accuracy and reliability. The paper analyses the characteristics and principles of wavelet transformation algorithm and applies wavelet theory on FOD’s identification and detection. Identifying the FOD’s shape and marking characteristic point on the runway under poor visual background would be accomplished by programming in MATLAB using wavelet algorithm. The results show that the plan is applicable. Besides that, it brings about profound significance for realizing the real-time detecting on the FOD and testing with more feasibility and efficiency.

Acoustic is a common method for underwater object classification and to observe fish schools or other marine animals in their environment, but it was never applied on sea turtle. Knowledge about turtle detection using sound is very limited and there are no target strength (TS) recorded before. In this study, an echo voltage reference methodincorporating standard target was used to measure ex situ target strength of two Green Turtle (Chelonian mydas) and three species of fish (Indian scad, Indian Mackerel and Bigeyescad). The echo signal of animals has been observed from echosounder output and every envelope of the echo was digitized at a sampling rate 1MHz using high speed analog to digital converter (USB‑1208HS). The finding shows a significant difference between fish and turtles aged 18 years old. The result also demonstrates that TS increase as age of turtle increase. This result is considered important in designing an acoustic deterrent device. The result reveals that size, surface, and animal body part influence in determining target strength value.

Water quality is the most important aspect to ensure success in various aspects of life, for example in the shrimp ponds. On a shrimp pond, water conditions are very vital because it has a very strict threshold. Unstable water conditions will affect growth and condition of shrimps, eat passion of shrimps, until their ability to survive greatly affect the survival of the shrimps. The percentage of farmers harvesting shrimps if the water did not have good conditions then the farmers will suffer significant losses if yields were not as expected, began from the amount of shrimp that was reduced due to death or the quality of the shrimp were judged from the size of the shrimp. So the authors wanted to do research on how to maintain the quality of the water in shrimp pond so that the water quality is maintained. To overcome this, we need to monitor water conditions based on the level of salinity and turbidity of water in order to stay in good condition. In this case, the researchers used fuzzy logic to monitor the amount of water quality and water volume. In this study only conducted water quality monitoring process but to do water changes to a certain condition still conducted manually. As well as the programming language used as the NI LabVIEW graphical programming with the application form to see monitoring of water quality so that water conditions are well preserved.

In this article, a new compact dual-band bandpass filter was introduced. The filter utilized two operating bands centered at 2.45 GHz and 5 GHz widely used for wireless local area network applications. The filter consists of T-shaped sections of step impedance resonator. The structure is an even symmetrical around electrical or magnetic wall, so the operation mechanism of the filter can be analyzed by an even- and odd-mode transmission line theory. The resonator structure is parallel coupled to a pair of 50 Ω input/output ports. Proper feeding and coupling structures can realize at least two transmission zeros around each of the operating band. To enhance the spurs rejection in the out of the band response of the filter, additive transmission zero at 10 GHz was created by adding stub of quarter guided wavelength at a selected distant from the output port edge. The filter is designed and optimized using the full wave Electromagnetic simulator. The center frequency of the designed bands can be easily refined by the filter dimensions. The overall dimension of the filter is (where is the guided wavelength at the frequency of 2.45 GHz) corresponding to 14.3 mm x 22 mm.

This paper presents the simple design of a grid-tied single-phase with distributed rooftop photovoltaic (PV) non-uniformly location and ratings. All the inclusion components in the developed scheme are estimated and defined as the inevitability of low voltage (LV) residential network. This developed scheme is purposed for allocating AC and DC load, which are divided into four steps: the sized determination of PV inverter (1-5kW), the selection of PV array, the size determination of battery and the selection of other supporting components. The purposed configuration consists of modeling the system with non-uniform distributions of rooftop PVs, modeling the rooftop PVs based on their injected active and reactive power, and finally the inclusion of battery storage, based on its state of charge (SOC). Due to test the configuration, several cases are built in the MATLAB platform. Simulation results have been generated and analyzed for an unbalanced three-phase residential feeder which is populated with rooftop PVs and battery storage (BS). The simulation results show that the unbalanced reduction due to the coordinate of PVs and BS that provided educated energy storage when the unequal loadings are there, have significant effect toward the anxiety of the distribution network are successfully done.

Wireless sensor connectivity is one of several factors that determines the communication reliability of each node. The placement of the node depends on the area that covered by wireless coverage area, so the node placement should be optimally placed. But the other aspect is the sensor coverage area. Sensor coverage area sometimes could be different with wireless sensor coverage area. Based on that situation, it needs to optimize that situation. Genetic Algorithm is an algorithm that utilizes a heuristic approach that uses biological mechanism evolution. It used to evolution the best position of Sensor Node based on Wireless and Sensor coverage area. After the position of each node generated by Genetic Algorithm, it still needs to evaluate the wireless sensor node performance. The performance indicates that the genetic algorithm can be used to determine sensor node placement in the smart home environment. The smart home environment used to monitor event at the house such as wildfire. In this research used Quality of Services (QoS) to measure wireless sensor performance. The experimental testing scenario will be used to place several nodes that generated. The QoS performed systems reliability that produced based on 3, 4 and 5 testing nodes, the minimum and maximum of each: delay is 6.21 and 8.74 milliseconds, jitter is 0.11 and 1.59 Hz and throughput is 68.83 and 90.49 bps. Based on ETSI classification, the performance of sensor node placement is Good and acceptable in real-time systems.

This paper presents a H-infinity synthesis with pole clustering based on LMI region schemes for liquid slosh control. Using LMI approach, the regional pole placement known as LMI region combined with design objective in H-infinity controller guarantee a fast input tracking capability and very minimal liquid slosh. A graphical profile of the transient response of liquid slosh suppression system with respect to pole placement is very useful in giving more flexibility to the researcher in choosing a specific LMI region. With the purpose to confirm the design of control scheme, a liquid slosh model is considered to represent the lateral slosh movement. Supremacy of the proposed approach is shown by comparing the results with hybrid model-free fuzzy-PID controller with derivative filter. The performance of the control schemes is examined in terms of time response specifications of lateral tank tracking capability and level of liquid slosh reduction.

Jabon (Anthocephalus cadamba (Roxb.) Miq) is one type of forest plants that have very rapid growth until the process of the harvest. One inhibitor is a disease that attacks the leaves in the form of spots and blight that can cause death during the growth process of this tree. The purpose of this process is to detect the object of diseases that attack the leaves of jabon at the time in the nursery. Images of affected jabon leaf disease segmented by reducing the RGB color cylinders to separate the disease object from the background. Reduced channel G-R provides information in the form of disease areas contained in the image of Jabon leaf. Furthermore, the characteristics of leaf disease can be detected well using DWT in the 3-level decomposition process with SVM classification results that can separate both classes of spots and blight by 84.672%.
