Abstract

Information security is very important and has been widely implemented. Cryptography and steganography are two common methods that can be implemented to secure and conceal the information. In this research, the proposed AES algorithm for cryptography and DWT for steganography. However, in case of implementing DWT as steganography, there is a weakness which is a lower capacity. Based on DWT’s problem, proposed Huffman Coding to reduce the total of the message’s bit and increase the capacity. In the implementation, a message will be processed by using AES and compressed by using Huffman Coding then conceal in a cover using DWT. After doing several experiments using a 128x128 pixel message image and a 512x512 pixel of the cover image, achieved the average of MSE is 1.5676 and the average of PSNR result is above 40db which is 46.1878.

Abstract

Currently, the spread of hoax news has increased significantly, especially on social media networks. Hoax news is very dangerous and can provoke readers. So, this requires special handling. This research proposed a hoax news detection system using searching, snippet and cosine similarity methods to classify hoax news. This method is proposed because the searching method does not require training data, so it is practical to use and always up to date. In addition, one of the drawbacks of the existing approaches is they are not equipped with a sentiment analysis feature. In our system, sentiment analysis is carried out after hoax news is detected. The goal is to extract the true hidden sentiment inside hoax whether positive sentiment or negative sentiment. In the process of sentiment analysis, the Naïve Bayes (NB) method was used which was optimized using the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method. Based on the results of experiment on 30 hoax news samples that are widely spread on social media networks, the average of hoax news detection reaches 77% of accuracy, where each news is correctly identified as a hoax in the range between 66% and 91% of accuracy. In addition, the proposed sentiment analysis method proved to has a better performance than the previous analysis sentiment method.

Abstract

LTE Network is the common mobile technology these days around the world and all service providers seek to how improve the network capacity and deliver the best performance in terms of delivered data rates and coverage area. LTE network consists of many protocols that work together to establish network connectivity, these protocols add variable headers that contains many control information that the network needs to operate. At the same time these headers decrease the effective capacity of the network, so there is a need to optimize the overhead size that used in various channels. The study will illustrate the different overheads that effect on the network capacity and investigate the effect of different values on achieving the best network capacity.

Abstract

To solve the non-linear torsional vibration problem of engine and generator shafting causing body structural vibration and noise in motorized wheel vehicle, where the engine and the generator connected directly. First of all, analysis the characteristics of the shafting system, besides the external shock excitation of engine and generator. Then, through lumped parameter model method, mathematical model of the non-linear torsional vibration was established, which could reflect the dynamic characteristics of the system. Analysis the effect of mechanical parameters and electromagnetic parameters on the shafting. And get the non-linear differential equations of the system torsional vibration, which expresses the relation between structural parameters, electromagnetic parameters and the system dynamic characteristics. And multiple scales method was used to solve the equations. Non-contact measurement method was used in the torsional vibration test. Finally, consistency of the results, indicate that the research method used is reliability and accuracy, and get the critical speed of the shafting torsional vibration.

Abstract

In this paper, a data processing technique to obtain the true characteristic of microwave absorber material characterization is proposed. This technique addressed to overcome the limitations of port extension is known as hybrid de-embedding technique, which in principle is carried out by combining the structure model data of test fixture that is used with simulated data or experimental measurements. In this technique, the test fixture is simulated numerically to get S (scattering) parameter data. Then the S parameter is converted into the T parameter (transfer) to be used for de-embedding process by removing the characteristic of test fixture used so that the true characteristics of a microwave absorber material can be revealed. To verify the accuracy of technique proposed, the characteristics of a microwave absorber is simulated numerically and measured experimentally. The simulation and measurements results are then processed using the proposed technique to be compared with its ideal model. In general, the result of de-embedding process shows that the proposed technique has high accuracy.

Abstract

Abstract

In this paper, development on a coastal surveillance Radar network, which is called ISRA (Indonesian Sea Radar), is presented. This Radar network was developed for surveillance at the Sunda Strait. The radar network monitors the sea traffics and activities at the Sunda Strait, which an international shipping route. There were three Radars installed for this network. All these Radars in this research use FM-CW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology. This FM-CW has an advantage of low power consumption, low cost of operational, longer life time and high reliability. Another important feature of this Radar is the LPI (Low Probability of Intercept) capability, where the signal transmission of this Radar cannot be easily detected by a Radar detector (electronic support measure) so that this Radar can be used for a covert operation. Detected targets by Radars are shown on the display and on the web based display for the Radar network. These three Radars on the remote sites can be monitored and controlled via an internet connection from the control room in our Bandung office, which is 300 KMs away. The results of this research and development show the Indonesian capability to build a complex system such as a chain of coastal surveillance Radar network. The knowledge obtained from this research will be used to develop more advanced Radars for different applications.

Abstract

A passive Q-switched pulsed laser at 1.5 m region incorporating graphene nanoplatelets (GnPs) embedded in Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) is demonstrated. A surfactant is used to aid the dispersion of the GnPs before it is mixed with PVA to develop a GnPs-PVA film based SA. The SA is integrated into the laser cavity by attaching a cut of the GnPs-PVA film in between two fiber ferrule of the laser ring cavity. The proposed GnPs-PVA film based passive Q–switched laser was able to operate as the input pump power was increased from 39 mW up to a maximum of 148 mW before diminishing. The laser obtained operated with a central wavelength of 1530.76 nm. Repetition rates were obtained at 33 kHz to 91.5 kHz, throughout the tunable input pump power with the shortest pulse width of 2.42 s. Maximum attainable peak power and pulse energy of 1.2 mW and 5.9 nJ, respectively, was recorded, accompanied by a signal to noise ratio (SNR) of 28 dB.

Abstract

This work deals with the modeling of a new three-phase tetrahedral transformer of HV power supply, which feeds three magnetrons per phase. The design of this new power supply is composed of three single-phase with magnetic shunt transformers coupling in star; each one is size to feed voltage-doubling cells, thereby feeds a magnetron. In order to validate the functionality of this power supply, we simulate it under Matlab-Simulink environment. Thus, we modeled nonlinear inductance using a new approach of neuro-fuzzy (ANFIS); this method based on the interpolation of the curve B(H) of ferromagnetic material, the results obtained gives forms of both voltages and currents, which shows that they are in accordance with those of experimental tests, respecting the conditions recommended by the magnetron manufacturer
